Carrying on from my previous post, I’ve only just found this in a book that arrived in today’s post, the Canadian writer Robertson Davies addressing a class of new graduates on ‘What Will the Age of Aquarius Bring?’; this was back in 1975:

Quote Aquarius is represented as a Water Carrier, a man bearing on his shoulder an enormous pot of water, from which flows a mighty stream to refresh and replenish the earth.
Refreshment and replenishment would be welcome, would they not? Shall we, at last, learn how to feed our fiercely increasing population, and maybe perhaps learn to do it by usefully employing our vast wastes of water? Might we even give up the obscene madness of treating our waterways as sewers? I cannot say, for I am neither alchemist nor astrologer, and I have a well-grounded horror of prophets.
And this: (by the years 2000 to 2025,)
Quote you will have learned to live. You will have shed many follies and you will have found out many things of which you do not even dream, now. Have courage. Pluck whatever is hopeful out of the strange events that lie before us all.
Not bad for a not-for-prophet speaker.

Packed with statements which seek to clarify what positive thinking really is, and what it is not.

There's much more in there Ulli...but this is too good not to share, thanks!

The practice of magic requires fierce determination – a willingness to go to any extreme and endure any hardship necessary – in order to realize your desire. The reason why it won’t work for the average person is that most people have their wills completely zapped by the decadent society in which they live, so they fritter their entire lives away in fruitless fantasizing instead of rolling up their sleeves and getting down to it.

Even though it's a bit dark, I like the, "The Verdict". Another favorite is "Nobody's Fool". (Lot of 'A' actors, and still it’s a great movie.)

My God Folks, its happening, right before our eyes it IS happening. I have been sharing things with hard working young people that many have young children, that are, well, very concerned about their children's future...and rightfully so. I have about been brought to tears by their reactions...no, I have been bought to tears because my voice has been breaking up in these special conversations.
What I am getting from them is love, genuine love, and I do not know them. "That's REAL talk Dan"..."I needed to hear that"..."I want to learn more". I was sharing with a young landscaper a few days ago and said to him "hey, you're in it every day, you see how things grow, this beautiful place is a limitless supplier...the private small farmer has about been squashed to nothing, purposely." This guy hugged me after the conversation and has a 2 year old son and wants so so much to see him grow up in a place of real love and real truth...for him and those all around him, a to and fro happening, of real give and loving take. No wars, no senseless hate.
I went to a C-Lab yesterday to give a blood sample checking my seizure medication level...the technician was an older woman named Elaine and I just felt her beauty and shared a bit with her. She probably should not be working so hard and shared with me when I asked her name because she did not have a name tag only the company logo...and I said I know your name isn't "c-lab" and she said it may as well be. She is still working too many hours a week I'm sure because she probably has to to keep things going(mortgage) and help her kids and grandkids too. She was about brought to tears herself when I told her there are some very good things coming and we are right in the middle of beautiful unimaginable changes, and she said " Thank You so much, Dan, I really needed to hear that today, I needed to hear that very much and need to feel this more, thank you"
I am not out trying to 'convert' anyone, I am simply sharing what I know and what I have experienced through that Native American Spirit gift I was given a few years ago.
We can change it all by the little things we do...and I know you know this...but we have to open up to more people so that they CAN open up their hearts...we have to treat everyone like extended family, everyone we possibly can! I'm done today, Love You : )

when one works next to the suffering crowd, shoulder to shoulder, and shows some understanding for their plight,
for them that is the best therapy.
And in our poverty-stricken valley in Costa Rica the people are just not used to being shown kindness,
so when they get it their tears start to flow and they grab you and cling like Koala bears.

If I were ever to now start a factory there, these people would offer to work for less than minimum wage which is $2.50 an hour,
just to get the love and understanding and occasional hand-outs.
This is what it has come to.
Stories about the upcoming Costa Rica economy are not to be trusted...
one just needs to look at the rural areas.
Food and gas prices have been rising faster than coffee pickers' wages.

Time to 'get down to' that natural desalination, Araucaria!
Well, Dan, I’m no engineer or even a decent handyman, and I’m probably understating the technicalities involved. Not a good idea. But I would suggest that there are intermediate enabling attitudes between the hands-on sleeve-roller and the daydreamer. It doesn’t make me a fruitless fantasizer if I remind/inform people who have the minimal skills I don’t have that, for example, water will flow freely along a hydrophilic tube and that they don’t need a patent to devise whatever apparatus they like on the basis of that.
    http://link.springer.com/article/10....no-access=true
It would appear to be possible to enhance the wettability of copper by surface treatment. http://docs.lib.purdue.edu/cgi/viewc...&context=iracc
Given that copper tubing is the preferred material for transporting water inside buildings, there ought to be some way of marrying the experimental data with the materials available at a DIY store. DIY is usually associated with people doing the same work as a professional while removing the cost of that professional. But the DIY spirit is more to do with having a job needing doing, and getting it done with whatever is to hand. This of course includes unorthodox uses; this is also incidentally why DIY sometimes gets a bad name, but it doesn’t have to be that way; quite simply, most objects can do not only what they were designed for, but other things as well.

Take for instance the trumpeter playing the garden hose; or the watering-can clarinet ):

DIY is anti-patent engineering. Patents bring money and ownership into the equation. You are supposed to get both publicity and protection for disclosure, but for anything really worthwhile, you supply disclosure and get taken out of the market. It’s a mug’s game, because for anything major they bypass the whole process – unless it is for something unpatentable like DNA: they will patent that (but we have disclosure). To be smart about this, we need to do the same. No disclosure and no market, you just do it, people see it and you tell them how to do it themselves. Water is the kind of area where there is still some wiggle room. They haven’t yet patented the properties of water we know about. And of course they can’t patent the properties of water we aren’t being told much about.

the problem with wettability is that is usually a consumable ionic/ph/chemical inter-layer, of a sort. In such a case, it eventually wears away, as we are dealing with Casimir and van der Waals forces.

To get a flow down a pipe to be lowered in it's 'stickum', we have to go to surface treatment. Such effective surface treatment is eventually damaged due to particulate flow, introduction of chemical ph offsets and/or oxidizing situations. In the case of a wind instrument...Human breath, temperature variation, etc. In a water pipe, not much different. In the case of a sea roving inhabitant, ie whale, fish and shark, etc, it is a self repairing self replenishing situation.

Regarding wind instruments, it is also probable that the attributes of the problem are integral to the operation of the wind instrument. Resonance requires hard reflection, when in 'best result' circumstances.

I have found this interview with Robert Benton talking about the cinematographer of all his movies. Nestor Almendros was also the cinematographer of Truffaut and Rhomer.
We met years ago. I was so anxious... he was so charming. He was just shoot "Life Lessons" with Scorsese and have to rejetct "Good Fellas" because he has an agreement with Robert Benton for "Billy Bathgate".
    Memories

    - This is the first film in which you have not worked with Nestor Almendros. Have You missed him?

    - Without a doubt. Nestor has been one of the most brilliant cinematographers of the twentieth century and one of my dearest friends. It is often said that films are not written with pen and paper ,"they" are written with a camera. Therefore, I can say that Nestor Almendros was the co-writer of all my films. No doubt he was one of the great masters of cinema.

There is a book (thanks Milneman) that answeres the water question, maybe completely. It is called the Humanure Handbook (I will provide a link tomorrow to the pdf, but you can google it. I am on the phone today.). Already my family is in the process of transitioning to this different mode of waste (manure!) management system.

Also, for Dani-EL of the 33rd Degree, this very morning I have taken another video of the fire altar, and I hope to post it on the morrow.
    Love your fire altar videos!

The next one will be the third.

    Thanks!

Extremely sensitive to electrical-mechanical emf and human emf too right now.

Feeling vulnerable and fragile.... probably part of the process.

Wizards ever are out on the cutting edge of the Here and Now. My design is a seat perched on a bucket, atm. Very minimalist, yet so far very effective. We are in our fourth week or so of such compost manufacture. All the signs are there of a very healthy heap.
Free pdf - The Humanure HandBook

On Ron Mauer’s blog there’s a section called, “Composting Toilets”. Topics include: interaction manual, a free handbook, videos, how to build your own, outside resources, and more.

I'd encourage everyone to check out Ron's blog. Lots of diverse topics and "how to's".

Thanks, Pauler! You are the Great Lady of Due Diligence, except for when you do not want to be!
