Top Level DHS Officials Leaving At Alarming Rate

(Jerry Markon) An exodus of top-level officials from the Department of Homeland Security is undercutting the agency’s ability to stay ahead of a range of emerging threats, including potential terrorist strikes and cyberattacks, according to interviews with current and former officials.

Over the past four years, employees have left DHS at a rate nearly twice as fast as in the federal government overall, and the trend is accelerating, according to a review of a federal database.

The departures are a result of what employees widely describe as a dysfunctional work environment, abysmal morale, and the lure of private security companies paying top dollar that have proliferated in Washington since the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.

The department’s terrorism intelligence arm, for example, has cycled through six directors during the Obama administration, decimating morale and contributing to months-long delays in releasing intelligence reports, according to interviews and government reports.

A parade of high-level departures, on top of other factors, has meanwhile helped slow the rollout of key cybersecurity initiatives, including a program aimed at blocking malicious software before it can infiltrate civilian government computers, former officials say.

With the country facing a crisis of unaccompanied minors crossing the southwest border in recent months, the pair of DHS agencies responsible for tackling this problem have been hindered by turnover of top officials. U.S. Customs and Border Protection, for instance, has had six commissioners under President Obama, four of them in a caretaker role because they were not confirmed by the Senate.

And at the Transportation Security Administration, a DHS agency created after 9/11 to enhance airport security, the hemorrhaging of both senior and junior personnel has “had a tremendous effect,’’ said Kenneth Kasprisin, a former acting TSA head who left the agency in May.

“You cannot sustain a high level of security operations when you have that kind of turnover,’’ he said, attributing the defections to “a toxic culture” and “terrible” morale.

As evidence of the toll this is taking, Kasprisin cited the results of agency tests in which undercover operatives try to sneak weapons or explosives through airport security. He said security employees are increasingly missing the contraband, with the frequency of failures reaching a “frightening” level.

Homeland security officials acknowledge the challenges, which come at a time when the United States is facing potential threats from al-Qaeda and other extremist groups.

Before his December confirmation, DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson called vacancies and morale his top priorities and said the department faced “a leadership vacuum . . . of alarming proportions.’’

Since then, Johnson has won praise from lawmakers for taking steps to improve morale and retain employees, such as restarting an internal awards program and increasing training. The Senate has confirmed 10 top DHS officials in recent months, reducing a ­top-level vacancy rate that had reached 40 percent.

“Morale has been low in the department for quite a number of years, and it is our responsibility to address it, and we are in fact addressing it,’’ said Alejandro Mayorkas, the department’s deputy secretary. He said DHS has retained a consulting firm, Deloitte, to develop recommendations to improve morale.

Mayorkas stressed that the churn of personnel has not affected the department’s ability to protect the country. But, he acknowledged, “instability of leadership is not necessarily a galvanizing force for employees.’’

The department’s woes date to the George W. Bush administration. Within a few years after DHS began operations in 2003, senior-level vacancy rates were already high and many top officials were leaving the fledgling department for jobs with private security companies. Among the most prominent is the Chertoff Group, a security consulting firm led by former DHS secretary Michael Chertoff, which employs so many former officials it is known in homeland security circles as a “shadow DHS.’’

Private-sector salaries for high-level career officials, especially cybersecurity experts, can be double or triple the roughly $180,000 they can make at DHS.

‘Dysfunctional environment’
During the Obama years, the outflow of personnel has accelerated, according to the FedScope database of federal employees maintained by the Office of Personnel Management. Between 2010 and 2013, the number of annual departures of permanent employees from DHS increased 31 percent, compared with a 17 percent increase for the government overall.

Members of the Senior Executive Service — the government’s top career managers — also are leaving DHS at a much higher rate. In 2013, SES departures were up 56 percent from the year before. By contrast, the rate for the government as a whole was virtually unchanged.

Chet Lunner, a former deputy undersecretary in the DHS Office of Intelligence and Analysis, recalls the time a high-level colleague realized his phone number was wrong on his DHS business card. This was no small matter. The colleague was the person local officials were told to call with critical questions, such as whether someone police arrested had ties to terrorists. No one was calling.

The official asked administrators for new business cards, Lunner recounted. “They say, ‘You can’t have them. We have a policy that we only give out new business cards every 26 weeks.’ ’’

In small and not-so-small ways, some unique to DHS and others not, the department can be an infuriating, exhausting place to work, numerous former and current officials say. The frustrations reflect the fundamental wiring of the department, which was created by plucking 22 autonomous agencies from across the government and welding them into one.

Today, employees describe a stifling bureaucracy made up of agencies with clashing employee cultures and overtaxed by high-pressure responsibilities and relentless congressional carping. It can take many months to hire someone and weeks to get supplies as basic as a whiteboard.

Many former and current officials said the most burdensome part of working for DHS is the demands of congressional oversight. More than 90 committees and subcommittees have some jurisdiction over DHS, nearly three times the number that oversee the Defense Department. Preparing for the blizzard of hearings and briefings, officials say, leaves them less time to do their jobs.

“It’s a very dysfunctional environment, the hardest I’ve ever worked in,’’ said one former senior Obama administration DHS official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss internal operations. “There were certainly times where you would say, ‘I just got the crap kicked out of me, and I’m making way less than I can make in the private sector.”

Surveys of employee morale show it has plunged to new lows in the past few years. According to the Partnership for Public Service’s annual “Best Places to Work in the Federal Government” survey, DHS ranked dead last among large agencies last year.

Some of the most politically sensitive jobs are in the immigration realm, where the department’s performance is fodder for partisan wrangling. Despite intense concern in both parties over immigration policy, Customs and Border Protection went five years without a confirmed commissioner until R. Gil Kerlikowske received Senate approval in March. A series of other personnel moves around the same time have meant that the agency, which has critical border-security responsibilities, has been riddled with vacancies.

Most of those vacancies have been filled by officials in an acting capacity, but personnel experts consider that only a stopgap measure. “As an ‘acting,’ you’re a caretaker, not a change agent,’’ said Steve Atkiss, chief of staff for Customs and Border Protection in the Bush administration and a founding partner of Command Consulting Group, a D.C.-based security consulting firm.

While DHS officials say their efforts to secure the border have not been affected, former officials said the leadership vacuum at the border agency has slowed decision-making and made it harder to find creative solutions to pressing problems.

“When you have a proliferation of ‘actings,’ a lot of hard decisions don’t get made with the same level of regularity,’’ said a former senior Obama administration DHS official.

An uncertain mission

In early 2010, the DHS hierarchy gathered to discuss a report the agency was preparing about its mission. A top official looked around the table and asked who felt they were in charge of the department’s counterterrorism role.

Five people raised their hands, said a person who attended the meeting.

DHS’s mission has never been entirely clear. Nowhere has this been more nettlesome than at the department’s Office of Intelligence and Analysis. The 2002 law creating DHS outlined a powerful intelligence role for the department, but much of that authority was lost during the Bush administration to the FBI and other agencies. The DHS intelligence office, officially created in 2007, instead has come to focus on issuing reports and coordinating with state and local authorities.

For a time, the office operated relatively smoothly. But after its leaders started leaving, it was unable to resist what former DHS officials said were even more power grabs by other agencies. Morale plunged.

By 2010, so many people had left because of “unstable leadership’’ that the team assigned to study Islamist extremists declined from about two dozen people to four or five, recalled Thomas Barnes, a former DHS intelligence analyst. “It decimated us,’’ he said.

Barnes and other former analysts said the office starting overlooking intelligence.

In late 2009, Barnes told his bosses about a new threat, an extremist group gaining notoriety in Nigeria. “No one was interested,’’ he said. “It was way off their radar because we didn’t have any bodies.’’ The group was Boko Haram, which seized international attention this year by kidnapping more than 200 schoolgirls and is seen as a potential threat to the United States.

A bipartisan Senate study in 2012 concluded that understaffing and turnover in the DHS intelligence office were contributing to dangerous delays. The study found that hundreds of reports being prepared by intelligence analysts working with state and local officials on counterterrorism were being released months late, at times based on outdated information.

When the intelligence office’s director, Caryn Wagner, stepped down in 2012 after less than three years in the job, the position proved hard to fill. At least five people turned down the post, according to people familiar with the search. “Nobody wanted it. It’s the worst job in the intelligence community,’’ one person said.

Mayorkas, the DHS deputy secretary, declined to comment on the office’s performance, but he praised its latest undersecretary, Francis X. Taylor, confirmed in April. “He’s a superb leader,’’ Mayor­kas said. “He will bring morale to where it should be.’’

Hampering cybersecurity

Even as it wrestles with turnover in the intelligence office, DHS has been hit with defections in another vital area: cybersecurity.

In one nine-month period between June 2011 and March 2012, for example, four senior DHS cybersecurity officials quit and one retired — all headed to the private sector.

The departures came as the department battled the Pentagon and the National Security Agency over who should have responsibility for protecting critical private-sector networks and for responding to industry requests for assistance. DHS was pressing to enshrine its authority in law.

“It became so hard to advocate for DHS to be placed in charge and given more responsibility because people were constantly leaving,’’ recalled Jacob Olcott, a former House Homeland Security Committee aide.

The cybersecurity bill died, a victim of strong opposition from industry and its backers on the Hill.

The continuing stream of departures has at times hampered the department’s ability to combat cyberattacks aimed at civilian federal networks and to serve as the federal point of contact for critical industries, such as energy and transportation, and for state and local governments.

The high turnover has meant that at times the National Cybersecurity and Communications Integration Center struggles to carry out its mission of analyzing attacks on federal and private computer systems and responding to them.

Just last month, Larry Zelvin, who had directed the center for two years, and another top DHS cybersecurity official left for corporate jobs.

The constant churn, former officials said, also exacerbated turf battles and other problems that delayed Einstein 3, a program to block malicious software before it enters the dot-gov networks. The program is now scheduled to be completed perhaps by next year.

“If you look at the last six, seven years, there’s been enormous turnover,” said Michael Brown, a former Navy rear admiral and high-level DHS cybersecurity ­official who retired in 2012. “Absolutely, it’s a problem for consistency and continuity.”

Senior managers leave for several reasons, including the grueling tempo of the job, said Brown, now a senior official at RSA, a cybersecurity firm. The pace was so relentless that the wife of one senior cybersecurity official used to put a place setting at the dinner table for his BlackBerry.

There’s also frustration over the lack of clear authority from Congress to oversee cybersecurity. Without this authority, DHS officials find it difficult to work with private industry when, for instance, they offer help to companies to stem a computer breach.

“It would take three days just to explain what DHS’s mission was, where the FBI can just come in and everybody knows what they do,” said a former official. “It really impeded our ability to do our job.”

Legislation is pending that would spell out DHS’s authority in the cyber sphere.

Those who have left also say they grew weary of fighting to get the simplest things done.

“My cyber folks were spending more time on human resource issues and acquisition than they were analyzing technical data to defend and protect networks,” a former senior official said.

“DHS can’t keep anyone in cyber. They just can’t do it,’’ said another former DHS official. “You can make $150,000 protecting the nation or you can make $650,000. Which one are you going to do?’’

The Nail In The Petrodollar Coffin: Gazprom Begins Accepting Payment For Oil In Ruble, Yuan

Several months ago, when Russia announced the much anticipated "Holy Grail" energy deal with China, some were disappointed that despite this symbolic agreement meant to break the petrodollar's stranglehold on the rest of the world, neither Russia nor China announced payment terms to be in anything but dollars. In doing so they admitted that while both nations are eager to move away from a US Dollar reserve currency, neither is yet able to provide an alternative.

This changed in late June when first Gazprom's CFO announced the gas giant was ready to settle China contracts in Yuan or Rubles, and at the same time the People's Bank of China announced that its Assistant Governor Jin Qi and Russian central bank Deputy Chairman Dmitry Skobelkin held a meeting in which they discussed cooperating on project and trade financing using local currencies. The meeting discussed cooperation in bank card, insurance and financial supervision sectors.

And yet, while both sides declared their operational readiness and eagerness to bypass the dollar entirely, such plans remained purely in the arena of monetary foreplay and the long awaited first shot across the Petrodollar bow was absent.

Until now.

According to Russia's RIA Novosti, citing business daily Kommersant, Gazprom Neft has agreed to export 80,000 tons of oil from Novoportovskoye field in the Arctic; it will accept payment in rubles, and will also deliver oil via the Eastern Siberia-Pacific Ocean pipeline (ESPO), accepting payment in Chinese yuan for the transfers. Meaning Russia will export energy to either Europe or China, and receive payment in either Rubles or Yuan, in effect making the two currencies equivalent as far as the Eurasian axis is conerned, but most importantly, transact completely away from the US dollar thus, finally putin'(sic) in action the move for a Petrodollar-free world.

More on this long awaited first nail in the petrodollar coffin from RIA:

The Russian government and several of the country’s largest exporters have widely discussed the possibility of accepting payments in rubles for oil exports. Last week, Russia began to ship oil from the Novoportovskoye field to Europe by sea. Two oil tankers are expected to arrive in Europe in September.

According to Kommersant, the payment for these shipments will be received in rubles.

Gazprom Neft will not only accept payments in rubles; subsequent transfers via the ESPO may be paid for in yuan, the newspaper reported.

According to the newspaper, the change in currency was made because of the Western sanctions against Russia.

As a protective measure, Russia decided to avoid making its payments in US dollars, which can be tracked and controlled by the United States government, Kommersant reported.

"Protective measure" meaning that it was the US which managed to Plaxico itself by pushing Russia to transact away from the US Dollar, in the process showing the world it can be done, and slamming the first nail in the petrodollar's coffin.

This is not surprising to anyone who has been following our forecast of the next steps in the transition from the Petrodollar to the Gas-O-Yuan. Recall from April:

In conclusion we will merely say what we have said previously, and it touches on what will be the most remarkable aspect of Obama's legacy, because while the hypocrite "progressive" president who even his own people have accused of being a "brown-faced Clinton" after selling out to Wall Street and totally wrecking US foreign policy abroad, is already the worst president in a century of US history according to public polls, the fitting epitaph will come when the president's policies put an end to dollar hegemony and end the reserve currency status of the dollar once and for all, thereby starting the rapid, and uncontrolled, collapse of the US empire. To wit:

In retrospect it will be very fitting that the crowning legacy of Obama's disastrous reign, both domestically and certainly internationally, will be to force the world's key ascendent superpowers (we certainly don't envision broke, insolvent Europe among them) to drop the Petrodollar and end the reserve status of the US currency.

As of this moment, both Russia and China have shown not on that it can be done, but it is done. Expect everyone to jump onboard the new superpower axis bandwagon soon enough.

Is America on her last legs? Is the end of the Republic, as we have known it, near? A snapshot view of the emotional, physical and financial health of our nation makes it appear that we are on the edge of collapse. This article takes a snapshot view on how we are doing and the final conclusion is that America, like an alcoholic must and will hit bottom.

Meaningful Political Reform is Impossible

In this, a mid-term election year, we hear a lot of talk of how the people must rise up and vote as one. Unfortunately, the gross, collective ignorance of this country is so great that elections, as an exercise as the collective and intelligent expression of the public will, are non-existent. And even if a community could spur a collective action on an issue, the electronic voting machines would cast doubt on the true outcome anyway.

Before a nation can peacefully change course, the people must understand how political change happens. Further, they must have an understanding of the key political players and what they stand for. Unfortunately, and according to an Annenburg survey that was just conducted, only 36% of all Americans can identify the three branches of government. How can one possibly rid a system of abuse when one does not understand how the system works? A full 25% of all Americans know how that Senators serve for six years. Tragically and only 20% of all Americans know how many U.S. senators there are. Additionally, only 40% of high school seniors know that Joe Biden is the Vice-President. The faces of Pelosi, Reed and McCain should be on every billboard and dartboard for what they have done to the country (e.g. NDAA, Obamacare). Instead, most Americans have scarcely heard of them.

Even as in the open our public corruption has become, most will never hear of it because six corporations own over 95% of the media. Most American think that they have a free press when nothing could be further from the truth.

One would think that the First Amendment to the Constitution would protect the freedom of the press. There was a recent time when the United States was previously ranked 20th in the freedom of the press, but the U.S. has fallen 27 places to the 49th place. One of the reasons listed for the decline are the many arrests of journalist covering Occupy Wall Street protests. Certainly, the Occupy Wall Street arrests had a lot to do with the slippage. The US is now ranked lower then most western European countries including Finland, Norway, Netherlands, Switzerland, Sweden, Denmark, Ireland, Germany, Belgium, UK, France, Spain, etc.

One of the many things the occupy movement has done is help focus more attention on the aggressive militarization of basic law enforcement in the United States. And that’s been combined with police efforts to prevent both professional and amateur reporters from covering the story. These undeniable facts were in evidence in the recent unrest in Ferguson, MO.

According to the Economist Intelligence Unit Democracy Index 2011, the United States is tied with Romania for forty-ninth in civil liberties. Several countries such as Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, and Norway are tied for first.

Americans Are Medicated and Unhealthy

In the period from 1968 to 2008, the suicide rate in America rose 308% for people aged 15 to 24. It is clear that our children do not want to live in the New World Order. One out of every ten teen girls in America engages in “self-harm”. Cutting and burning are the most common forms that this “self-harm” takes.

No less than 30 million Americans are on antidepressants. Americans account for about four percent of the world’s population, but we buy more than 50% of the pharmaceutical drugs and Americans take a stunning 80% of all prescription painkillers. According to several studies 70% of all Americans are on at least one prescription drug and 20% of all Americans are on at least five prescription drugs. Additionally 60 million Americans are problem drinkers and are categorized as alcoholics. Let me restate the last morbid statistic, one in six Americans, are problem drinkers.

According to a presentation offered at the IFPE Congress in Vienna, Austria on April 18, 2009, on the results of World Health Organization’s World Mental Health Survey, 19% of studied Americans experienced a clinical anxiety disorder in the previous twelve-month period, which pushes the United States into a ranking of first place in this category. And no wonder, it is estimated that one out of every four girls will be sexually abused before they become adults. Suicide has now actually surpassed car accidents as the number one cause of “injury death”in the United States.

Collectively, our cancer rates are by far the highest in the world as are our autism rates (now one in 53 births). Alzheimer’s is soaring at record rates and the age of onset is getting younger and younger. According to the CIA 2013 Factbook, Americans only have the 42nd longest life span on the planet despite the exorbitant amount we spend on health care. And I haven’t even touched upon obesity rates, sleep deprivation, etc., but you get the idea,we are morbidly unhealthy and a miserable people.

Economic Recovery Is Not Possible Under Any Circumstance

There is a bit of good news. The national deficit is only $17 trillion dollars and it is growing by leaps and bounds. At least that’s the good news. The bad news is that our “unfunded liabilities” (e.g. Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid and now Obamacare) have reached a total of $240 trillion dollars. And the really bad news is that our country, through the bailouts, owe the bankers a whopping $1 quadrillion dollars for the Ponzi scheme we call the credit swap derivatives. Since the entire estimated value of the planet is merely $100 trillion dollars, please explain to me how we can pay off this debt? Because this is public debt and it exceeds the sum total of all of our collective holdings,the owners of the debt, effectively own you!

I would talk about IT compensation rates where the United States ranks 14th in IT management compensation. I could also mention that Americans no longer live in the highest salary paying country in the world. In fact, the United States does not even crack the top ten list of the highest salary paying countries on the planet in which Switzerland, Germany, Denmark, Japan, Norway, Austria, Belgium, Ireland, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom round out the top ten and pay their workers more than workers in the United States. In fact, the United States only ranks 20th in terms of overall gross pay!

Perhaps our children can collectively educate themselves to a higher economic level in terms of our professional expertise ceiling. Unfortunately, The Education Policy Institute assessed the affordability of higher education costs and found that the United States ranks 13th in higher education affordability. And to those who think your children can borrow their way to a degree, think again. Today’s U.S. college loan practices, which serve to underwrite much of the cost of a college education, are the most predatory in the world.

As of last year, bankruptcy cannot cancel out a student loan debt and delinquent college students can now go to jail for nonpayment. In fact, several federal agencies have even “swat teamed” many delinquent student loan defaulters. Nowhere else in the world can we find evidence of these types of predatory practices being used against college students as we do here in the United States.

Again, all economic data,in effect, is meaningless so long as we owe a $17 trillion dollar deficit, a $240 trillion dollar unfunded liability debt and a $1 quadrillion derivatives debt. We virtually no exported manufacturing left and with the free trade agreements, there is no possibility of re-instituting tariffs which sustained this country without an income tax until 1913. The American government only takes in $2 trillion dollars per year. Do the math, if put every dime that we collect in taxes toward the debt and spent the money on nothing else, it would take us 120 years to pay off the unfunded liabilities and we could never pay off the derivatives debt because the debt is expanding faster that $2 trillion dollars of debt. Of course, the government could increase taxes, but there reaches a point when it will not pay to go to work. The final solution would be debt repudiation and start over. However, let me remind you, the bankers control the government and its enforcement mechanisms and they will not give up this asset and this measure of control without a fight and, my friends, I am regrettably sure that is where this is headed.

This just in, the Saudis just announced that they will no longer be accepting the dollar in payment for oil. This is the end of the petrodollar and the end of the American economy. War is now imminent!

The Most Dire American Statistic

In a human holocaust beyond belief, more than 56 million American babies have been massacred in this country since Roe v. Wade was handed down by the Supreme Court in 1973. Our abortion rate is roughly equal to the number of U.S. military deaths that have occurred in all of the wars that the United States has ever fought combined. May God have mercy on us.

The purge has already begun. Despite having only 4% of the world’s population, our prisons house 25% of the worlds prison population!

This article is only a snapshot of the dire circumstances America finds herself in. Like an alcoholic, America must and will hit bottom because we lack the collective awareness, resources, maturity and resolve to confront our issues head on. However, hitting bottom does not necessarily spell the end unless these are indeed the proverbial and Biblical “last days”. Let me remind all Christians, that the Bible, in Matthew 24:36, clearly tells us that in regard to the Second Coming, “But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only”. Therefore, it is prudent to prepare for the reality that this evil that has been set loose upon the world is going to continue for awhile longer.

There is a cycle to everything and most of the people will reach a point where they cannot sustain themselves in the present system of contrived shortages and they may push back, provided depopulation strategies are not fully underway. In the very small chance that America will one day fight back against this tyranny, it would be prudent to teach our young the Constitution and what moral authority really means in order that the survivors have something meaningful upon which to rebuild.

Sometimes, knowing my history as I do, it is a curse because it is easy to see where this headed. One of my contemporaries once told me that our fathers lived in the best days of America. I agree and that generation, the WW II generation, could not have imagined how quickly this country would become so utterly destroyed in such a short time.

My best advice to all is to prepare on two fronts. Prepare to continue within the framework that now exists, the Matrix if you will. However it important that we simultaneously turn our attention to strategies which will increase the odds of survival. Therefore, adaptation strategies have become critically important.

Is it just a coincidence that just days after a report is released by ENENews that the leader of the Fukushima study stated that “Intense” radiation exposure was headed towards the US west coast with a plume traveling very fast and that “high concentrations” would impact the west coast with a prolonged period of radioactive upwelling expected, the highest of readings in San Diego, California and Albuquerque, New Miexico, suddenly vanish, go totally offline, and when they reappear those numbers have dropped by hundreds of Counts Per Minute?

Mid America Land Restoration / Microbes / Probiotics has been documenting the radiation readings across America for quite a while now on their Facebook page, and thanks to them we have the images from 9/18 – 9/20, showing extremely high levels of radiation, via the Nuclear Emergency Tracking Center. Using those, with images from this morning, show that something very strange has been going on. Whether the NETC site was hacked or “coincidentally” these particular areas went offline and then returned showing levels massively lower than right before they went offline, we have no way of knowing.

When they went to check again, the readings were completely offline, which they updated in the comments on that FB posting, stating “What a shocker !!!! Just went to look at the numbers on San Diego California and hey did you all know you are GONE out of here…. They are not showing your numbers at this time…. Gone gone… at 12:50 P.M. Central time … Good Luck .. and Be Safe …“

The image below was taken by this morning, a little after 7 AM on September 21, 2014, also shown in the video below.



588 CPMs before going offline and miraculously down to 187 two days later!

In case others think that it is an anomaly or coincidence, let us move right along to Albuquerque New Mexico, where again Mid America Land Restoration / Microbes / Probiotics observed and documented the radiation CPM levels on September 20, 2014, showing 322 CPM, updated on September 20, 2014.



As of 6 AM on September 21, 2014, Albuquerque too had simply vanished off the NETC map, but by 7:30 AM, they were back online and the readings….. dropped there as well to 90 CPM, shown in my screenshot below.



I have emailed NETC to ask for an explanation of why they went offline, or if they were hacked, but that was at 6 AM, so no response has come back as of yet. If and when they respond, this article will be updated.

Some VERY strange is going on with these readings and circumstances, as well as the timing considering the ENENews article linked above.

Okay, Found the Link and "News" story "Loooosly" related to the first one I mentioned. It has the same photo's of the Army choppers... Not the info on the Fussion Center that has the Lab Facilities etc... Intel stated they were headed for the "Upper East Coast" (VA, NY/Time Sq, DC etc...) and "Chicago".

The first Youtube Video is HARD to listen to because of the "Radio Personality"... Calling them a Red Neck would be an insult to my Red Neck friends... I wasn't able to listen tomore than 8-10 minutes of it. They keep referring to "Loose Buckets of Sunshine". They may mention the Bio weapons and car bombs later in their radio show (I doubt it as I was told this was not released.)... If someone here can suffer through it long enough post back and let us know. This is most likely Real Intel mixed with some good ole fahioned Dis-Info (That "Before It's News is known for)... IMHO.

During a speech in Poland, Brzezinski publicly lamented that it has become “increasingly difficult to suppress” and control the “persistent and highly motivated populist resistance of politically awakened and historically resentful peoples.” Brzezinski is clearly referring to us, the people in the truthful media.

Brzezinski expressed even more of a sense of globalist dread and panic during a 2010 Council on Foreign Relations speech in Montreal in which he stated that “the major world powers, new and old, also face a novel reality: while the lethality of their military might is greater than ever, their capacity to impose control over the politically awakened masses of the world is at a historic low. All of my sources agree on one point: America has awakened sufficiently to not allow a peaceful transition into an entire technocratic dictatorship. A Pandemic Attack Upon the U.S.

The widespread dispersion of the Ebola virus, with a 90% fatality rate, could potentially weaken the country, lead to martial law and lessen the psychological resistance of the people to a planned takeover of the country. The fear associated with an Ebola outbreak would send 90% of our fellow citizens running to the government for protection.

Mandatory vaccinations would ensue and this would become an enormously profitable business venture for the CDC (patented owner of the Ebola virus and all of its variations), the NIH (patented owner of the Crucell created vaccine) and of course, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (who have paid out over $600 million dollars in sponsorship money for this endeavor).

This false flag scenario would also provide the ability to an occupying force to force compliance of more dissident geographic areas by shutting off the lights. I have been told by more than one source that the Grid Ex II drill dealt with this scenario.

The resulting effect would consist of a virtual economic take down of the economy. The people could be controlled through the distribution of food and water because very little product would be shipped. The Stock Market would collapse. This would be followed by a housing market collapse. Almost overnight, 80% of all Americans would find themselves unemployed. Food riots would begin and the civil unrest would reach crisis levels within 72 hours as people begin to run out of food and water.

This scenario could provide the backdrop for mass population migration to “safe zones”. Something big is about to happen. How do I know? I know because people I have known for years have pointed to the last quarter of 2014 as the beginning of the end for many of our institutions and perhaps our very way of life. I sent him back an email asking when he would like to come back on my show. He responded that he has stopped doing interviews. This is becoming an all-too familiar theme as this past weekend, one of my best insider sources told me he was going to stop disseminating information because what he had to say would have no impact on the coming events. As he stated “The train has its final destination and there is no stopping it. America had its chance to mobilize and try and stop the coming tyranny, but they could not get off the couch and stop watching the damn NFL. Well, the new NFL term stands for “Not For Long” and that is how much time this country has left. Americans have been wallowing in their own apathy and ignorance for decades. I have had conversations with two insiders and a relative of another insider who tell similar stories of a coming series of apocalyptic events. Much of the Hagmann information, to a large extent, corresponds to the information I have received.

DHS and CIA Relocations

It is a matter of official agency policy that some current DHS and CIA officials and their families will be provided safe sanctuary in various strategic locations in Colorado in times of trouble. Most people in the know are aware of the underground facilities which lies below the Denver International Airport which has an underground connected railway to the Cheyenne Mountain NORAD/Fort Carson/Peterson Air Force Base underground facilities. The structures are part of the Continuity of Government program developed by the United States government in the early days of the Cold War. However these facilities are increasingly becoming the planned refuge for many of the global elite residing within the United States when all hell breaks loose.



Operation Mountain Guardian was a disaster drill and a Continuity of Government exercise.

In September 2011, the evacuation of the elite to this safe hideaway was rehearsed in the DHS exercise known as Operation Mountain Guardian in which the Denver airport was shut down to commercial air travel except for specific, undesignated planes which were allowed to land in preparation for some staged catastrophe. This aforementioned event is not newsworthy because it has been reported in the mainstream. However, where this event becomes noteworthy to the public is because it is not coincidental that the CIA has relocated its major data collection facilities to underground structures in the Denver International Airport. The implications for residents living in or near the Washington DC Metropolitan area should be clear. The planned obsolescence for the nation’s capital is becoming increasingly apparent. The previous information is what is publicly available. The following information has not been disseminated but is highly relevant to what lies ahead.

NSA Relocations

ozarksRecently, retired officials from the NSA have relocated to an area in the Ozarks where they have access to underground safety zone which have/are being transformed into mini-villages of self-sustainable protection. Their properties consist typically of 5 to 10 acres for each family, contains a portable water supply, residents are armed to the teeth, have alternative communications that are not reliant on the grid and have years of stored food. My source is an individual who retired from the NSA almost three years ago. His decision to participate in the relocation was triggered by the re-election of President Obama which he said will hasten the onslaught of what is to come because Obama’s administration fully embraces the current course of action. Those were the words of 20 year veteran of the NSA, not my words.

Ex-FEMA Relocations

north carolinaRecently retired officials from FEMA are relocating to the rolling hill areas, in North Carolina. Their enclave contains the same resources involving air, water, food and guns. These enclaves also include underground structures which are sensibly self-contained and can serve to isolate the inhabitants from the outside. I have two sources on this information which includes a family member and a retired FEMA official who has chosen not to participate in this relocation. The nonparticipant ex-official from FEMA did not seek sanctuary with these groups because he feels that several of these enclaves will be targeted for destruction by the powers that be because of the knowledge contained by the inhabitants in this case of “dead men tell no tales.” This makes sense because it would allow the elite, following the coming cataclysms, to rewrite history in their own version without any contradiction from knowledgeable individuals that know what really has gone on. This insider knowledge is a threat which would serve as an obstacle to the new truth. Personally, I think this view has a great deal of merit.

When I began to receive information on these relocations, two years ago, all informants were clear on one point, when Americans begin to see the massive shifting of military assets accompanied by an increase in the sightings of foreign military on American soil, serious trouble is upon us. To that, I would ask what have we been witnessing in recent months?

The December 13, 1942 Montana Standard (Butte, MT) ran an interesting piece by Gardner Dane about the world of 1975, devastated by war, forcing people to move underground in order to survive. The original article appeared in Every Week magazine.

First, when the black clouds of another war begin to gather on the horizon, nations will lay by great stores of food! Not food as we commonly think of it today, but millions upon millions of tons of dehydrated meats, fruits and vegetables!

These millions of tons will be stored underground at strategic and accessible points. Scientists would probably tell us today that the problem of food for an underground civilization will be the easiest problem to solve - if we get at it soon enough. The second problem will be shelter. This will be a gargantuan feat.

Deep underground, vast chambers will have to be excavated. Families can keep together in cubicles designed for the purpose. Single men will sleep in tiers in bunks 15 or 20 high; single women will sleep in similar accommodations.

All feeding will be done in central kitchens, rigidly controlled as to quality and quantity. Sanitary problems will be handled by specialists. All the accoutrements necessary for living will be moved underground. There will be hospitals and stores. Factories that produce clothes, medicines and other needs.

Naturally, in an ultimate emergency such as this, everything and every last detail will be controlled by the government. The abhorred and abhorrent dictatorships of the present time will be as nothing when nations fight for their lives in the next war.

In the 1990’s, I was a Maricopa County volunteer first responder. This meant that if there was a pandemic or a chemical/biological attack, I would be expected to help dispense treatment. This also meant that my family would be first in line for any treatments. The program was eventually absorbed by FEMA. From the absorption, I began a friendship with a FEMA employee, his expertise was bioterrorism based pandemics.

In the fall of 2012, he “early” retired as did many of his colleagues. Unbeknown to me, he and several of his colleagues had been preparing a “bug out” location in a remote area. He was one of the people that I wrote about in the last article who went into hiding to avoid what they believe is coming.

My friendship with this person became a part of my awakening process. In the course of the last couple of decades, I learned, firsthand, how many of our alphabet soup agencies are not about protecting the public interest.

In effect, they are fascist in nature and serve to protect the interests of Big Pharma, other major corporations and the eventual imposition of martial law. Today, this is not a stunning revelation. Nearly 20 years ago, these notions were considered to be on the extreme fringe.

From several intense conversations I had with this individual, I can now clearly see the unfolding of the collapse of this nation, step by step. In the following paragraphs, I will detail how various false flag attacks will fit together like the pieces of a jigsaw puzzle in order to achieve this aim.

False Flag Events Before the Imposition of Martial Law



Any discussion, except for the fact that false flag events are coming, is supposition to some degree. However, there is enough historical precedent in this area, to accurately determine that these coming events will follow a very narrow path of possibilities. What was once the great unknown is now a predictable set of events with very clear goals.

Based upon what I have learned from all of my sources, the following events represent my choices as the most likely candidates for the coming false flag attacks which will be employed as a prelude to martial law. And the imposition of martial law will spell the end of America as we know it.

A Nuclear “Terrorist” Attack



At one time, this kind of event would have been high up on my list. However, the military is not in support of this and have worked to keep nuclear weapons out of the control of this administration which partially explains why over 260 senior military command officers have been fired by Obama including the entire leadership of the nuclear weapons program.

Although this event remains a possibility, this event seems less likely as time goes on because a nuclear attack is a single point in time and a single location event. If the intent of a false flag event is to paralyze a society, a nuclear event will not accomplish this goal.

A nuclear attack would be an excellent attention getter, but the probability of this being a pervasive debilitating event is limited. Therefore, I cast this as a low probability event.My FEMA source does not think this lies in our future.

EMP Attack



Taking down the power grid, according to both Congressman Trent Franks and the Naval War College would result in 90% of the country being dead within 24 months with 60% of the population dying off within a year. An EMP attack would completely subjugate the country, but at what cost? The infrastructure would be destroyed and it would take years to rebuild.

An EMP attack upon the power grid would be the act of an extreme psychopathic mind. However, the major drawback to this event would be that if the intent was to create martial law as a prelude to World War III a destroyed infrastructure does not lend itself to a sustained war effort. However, a limited EMP attack, practiced for in the Grid EX II drill of November 13-14, 2013, was foretold by my FEMA source over a year in advance of the Grid EX II drill.

A limited EMP attack, say on Wall Street, would destroy banking, currency, the Stock Market and the housing market would follow. My FEMA source said a limited and strategically placed EMP attack was in our future and he said you will see preparation for this event as he foretold the Grid EX II drill.

Currency, Banking, Stock Market and Housing Collapse by a Cyber-Attack

Last fall, DHS and FEMA participated in a series of cyber security drills in which the banks fell victim to a cyber-attack and all banking records were destroyed. If you cannot prove how many computer digits you have in the bank, then you will own none of the computer digits.

Americans will try to present paper records to prove their case, but the banks and the government will dismiss your paperwork as a fraud or lacking proof that you did not spend your money in between the time of your written bank statement and the cyber attack.

In short, if you have your money in the bank, at the time of the collapse, you will effectively own nothing. You will have no way to pay your rent, mortgage and buy food. You will be at the complete mercy of the state.

Famine will be the quick result of this kind of false flag attack. Hordes of looters will go house to house and neighborhood to neighborhood seeking life-sustaining resources. The need for martial law will be immediate.

If you want to eat, you will go to a “community center” where you will be promised “three hots and a cot”. This represents how some people could be rounded up. A currency collapse set into motion by a cyber-attack upon the banks, although it would paralyze the economy, could bring about martial law, would not be totally debilitating.

Yes, there would be some famine and civil unrest. However, this is not a near extinction level event as the bulk of the country could survive through means such as bartering and trading. In terms of moving the country into martial law, this is a high probability event in narrow, not a broad sense.

Chemical and/or Biological Attack



This mode of attack fits the desired requirements for a martial law takeover. The results are devastating, the event is longstanding, the event can multiply on its own, the event leaves the basic infrastructure in place and the event could be halted with the right antidote.

A series of chemical and/or biological attacks at select places around the country would leave the country debilitated and the misery could keep spreading from community to community. However, like a neutron bomb, which kills its intended targets while leaving structures undamaged, the infrastructure would be largely left in place. The perpetrators would have to have already developed an antidote to survive. Although the following statement is speculation, I believe that has already been done.

In a previous article, I documented that an Ebola vaccine was developed in 2004 by Crucell, in conjunction with the CDC, the National Institute of Health (NIH), the Army Infectious Disease and Virus unit at Ft. Dietrich and an infusion of cash from Bill Gates. The only results that are published about the Crucell vaccine consist of a statement that the vaccine was not contraindicated for use on humans. No published results for the 32 humans that were tested, were ever published.

I strongly suspect that with the Army’s involvement, the results are classified and I further suspect that the second vaccine being developed by Monsanto and GSK is only meant for you and me. It is not much of a leap in logic to conclude that of the two vaccines, one is going to be a lot more effective than the other. Care to take a guess on which vaccine we are going to be forced to take?

These beliefs are supported by the notion that my FEMA contact stated that whatever is released upon the people, there will be a pre-existing antidote.

One other item should be mentioned. I was further told that the Army was in possession of a series of bioweapons that the “world had no idea” of what we possessed. The weapons are exotic and dangerous. Most were of the pandemic variety and all had been weaponized. Among the leading contenders for release is Ebola and he stated that multiple strains will be released thus, making it more difficult to identify and to treat.

Certainly, Ebola is not the only designer virus that we have to be concerned about, but given the present climate, it is the most likely.

The Endgame

Many now expect that brutal martial law will be ushered in through the use of a series of false flag cocktails, with each event designed to peel back the onion that was once the United States.

Although this is a different topic for a different article, if one wonders what life will be like for those who survive the imposition of martial law and the coming World War III , I would suggest reading everything you can get your hands on with regard to Agenda 21, for phase one, and transhumanism, for phase two of the New World Order which could be only a matter of years away.

A good place to start reading is Steve Quayle’s work entitled Xenogensis. This book writes the ending of where this entire scenario is ultimately headed.

While Western intelligence agencies have been busy backing al Qaeda thugs in Libya, Iraq and Syria; authentic people-power protests have commenced apace in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Yemen and Algeria.

Battle lines are being drawn in the region. The outcome may well define global geopolitics for the next century.

Ever since the Rockefeller/Rothschild petro-monopoly discovered oil in the region, there has been a resource war between regional nationalist leaders like Boumediene, Nasser and Mossadegh – who fought to retain oil profits for their people – and the Illuminati banking cartel, which has used oil to grease the wheels of its ever-expanding global capitalist enterprise.

Israel has served as Zionist enforcer in the region, using divide and conquer strategies to overcome popular Arab anti-colonial movements. AIPAC lobbyists will be descending on Congress this week in an attempt to draw the US into the Syrian quagmire.

History repeats itself today as the Illuminati corporate media tentacle attempts to equate the uprisings in Illuminati-controlled Bahrain, Yemen and Algeria with those in Iran, Syria and Egypt. The latter three countries have for now won their independence from the banksters. It’s why we are taught to hate them. Iran is demonized the most because it nationalized its oil sector following the overthrow of David Rockefeller’s good friend the Shah of Iran in 1979.

The Illuminati response to this seminal event would define Western intelligence strategy in the region for the next 30 years. As discussed in Chapter 1 of my Big Oil… book, the Iranian Revolution began in the oil-rich Khuzistan region and was spearheaded by left-wing nationalist oilfield workers belonging to the Tudeh and Feyadeen parties.

Executives at Texaco and Exxon were targeted for assassination. Their Iranian Consortium subsidiary had seized Iranian oilfields after the 1953 CIA/Mossad/MI6 overthrow of democratically-elected President Mohamed Mossadegh. The coup was coordinated by British Petroleum.

Once it became clear that the Shah and his brutal SAVAK secret police were about to fall, Western intelligence agencies began to back Ayatollah Khomeini. The banksters knew that the Islamist Khomeini would be easier to work with, and later to discredit, than the nationalists who led the Revolution. Later they provided Khomeini with a hit list of Tudeh and Feyadeen leaders while Israel coordinated arms sales to the Ayatollah for his coming war with Iraq. The Iran/Iraq War was designed to decimate both countries. Western arms flowed to both sides while oil infrastructure was targeted in both nations.

With the Shah gone, the Illuminati’s “Twin Pillars” policy in the Middle East – based on alliances with the Shah and the House of Saud – needed rethinking. President Reagan facilitated the formation of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). The GCC is comprised of Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, United Arab Emirates and Qatar. These tiny monarchies line the southwest side of the Persian Gulf – an area that contains 42% of the world’s oil. These former British protectorates were slowly given independence on the condition that single-family monarchs would remain compliant to Illuminati oil interests. In exchange for their loyalty, these families received Western military protection, as much from their own populations as from foreign threats.

A decision was made early on to refine all Saudi crude on the island of Bahrain. Big Oil never trusted the Saudi people, worried that a people’s revolution might result in nationalization of their refineries. Quietly the US Fifth Fleet moved into Bahrain to protect these refineries, as well as the offices of Illuminati-controlled banks such as JP Morgan Chase, Citigroup, Bank of America, HSBC and Barclays. These banks run their offshore Middle East headquarters’ from Bahrain, where they recycle petrodollars and drug money into high-interest loans to the world’s developing nations.

Following the Iranian template, Western intelligence agencies encouraged Islamic extremism in the GCC nations. While the ruling families gamble and fornicate in Monaco, the people are encouraged to embrace Wahhabism to keep their gaze from the glaring class disparities that exist. It is the same strategy employed by the Illuminati in America via their boot-licking Republican Party and it’s Evangelical American Taliban extremist contingent.

In that same year of 1979, a Yemeni uprising resulted in that country splitting into two, with North Yemen – home to many Saudi oilfield workers – remaining loyal to Illuminati interests and South Yemen declaring itself a Marxist state in defiance of the international banksters. When South Yemen cast the lone “No” vote at the UN Security Council in 1991 regarding the Gulf War, they were targeted for destruction by the Illuminati. The nation became one again and it’s Western allied leaders encouraged Islamic fundamentalism.

Algeria was also in the bankster’s crosshairs for their opposition to the Gulf War. The CIA/Mossad/MI6 unleashed AIG (Armed Islamic Group) Islamic terrorists – many of whom later fought for these agencies in Bosnia – against the leftist Algerian government, which had kept its oil nationalized under the state-owned Sonatrech. The Illuminati toppled that government after a series of AIG massacres. Soon the Hydrocarbon Law was passed, AIG extremists loyal to the Illuminati took power and Algeria’s oil sector was handed over to the Rockefeller/Rothschild petro-monopoly.

The people of Algeria, Yemen and Bahrain rose up against these Islamic extremist Illuminati lapdog governments. Egyptians have booted the Muslim Brotherhood. Tunisians look set to do the same. If they succeed, nationalist governments that threaten the Illuminati oil barons will emerge.

In sharp contrast to these popular uprisings are the CIA/Mossad/MI6-fomented events in Iran, Syria, Lebanon and Libya. These countries have already fought revolutions to gain their freedom from the banksters.

Now, more than ever, it is important to know your Middle East history. Battle lines are being drawn between Islamist Western puppets and leftist nationalist movements that attempt to free their people from the Rockefeller/Rothschild oil axis. There may well be a bigger showdown between Iran and Israel.

The outcome will decide whether the world remains wrapped in the oil-addiction stranglehold of Illuminati bondage, or is able to progress beyond colonialism and its monopoly capitalist offspring.

One might think that by now even Americans would have caught on to the constant stream of false alarms that Washington sounds in order to deceive the people into supporting its hidden agendas.

The public fell for the lie that the Taliban in Afghanistan are terrorists allied with al Qaeda. Americans fought a war for 13 years that enriched Dick Cheney’s firm, Halliburton, and other private interests only to end in another Washington failure.

The public fell for the lie that Saddam Hussein in Iraq had “weapons of mass destruction” that were a threat to America and that if the US did not invade Iraq Americans risked a “mushroom cloud going up over an American city.” With the rise of ISIS, this long war apparently is far from over. Billions of dollars more in profits will pour into the coffers of the US military security complex as Washington fights those who are redrawing the false Middle East boundaries created by the British and French after WW I when the British and French seized territories of the former Ottoman Empire.

The American public fell for the lies told about Gaddafi in Libya. The formerly stable and prosperous country is now in chaos.

The American public fell for the lie that Iran has, or is building, nuclear weapons. Sanctioned and reviled by the West, Iran has shifted toward an Eastern orientation, thereby removing a principal oil producer from Western influence.

The public fell for the lie that Assad of Syria used “chemical weapons against his own people.” The jihadists that Washington sent to overthrow Assad have turned out to be, according to Washington’s propaganda, a threat to America.

The greatest threat to the world is Washington’s insistence on its hegemony. The ideology of a handful of neoconservatives is the basis for this insistence. We face the situation in which a handful of American neoconservative psychopaths claim to determine the fate of countries.

Many still believe Washington’s lies, but increasingly the world sees Washington as the greatest threat to peace and life on earth. The claim that America is “exceptional and indispensable” is used to justify Washington’s right to dictate to other countries.

The casualties of Washington’s bombings are invariably civilians, and the deaths will produce more recruits for ISIS. Already there are calls for Washington to reintroduce “boots on the ground” in Iraq. Otherwise, Western civilization is doomed, and our heads will be cut off. The newly created propaganda of a “Russian threat” requires more NATO spending and more military bases on Russia’s borders. A “quick reaction force” is being created to respond to a nonexistent threat of a Russian invasion of the Baltics, Poland, and Europe.

Usually it takes the American public a year, or two, three, or four to realize that it has been deceived by lies and propaganda, but by that time the public has swallowed a new set of lies and propaganda and is all concerned about the latest “threat.” The American public seems incapable of understanding that just as the first, second, third, fourth, and fifth, threat was a hoax, so is the sixth threat, and so will be the seventh, eighth, and ninth.

Moreover, none of these American military attacks on other countries has resulted in a better situation, as Vladimir Putin honestly states. Yet, the public and its representatives in Congress support each new military adventure despite the record of deception and failure.

Perhaps if Americans were taught their true history in place of idealistic fairy tales, they would be less gullible and less susceptible to government propaganda. I have recommended Oliver Stone and Peter Kuznick’s The The Untold History of the United States, Howard Zinn’s A People’s History of the United States, and now I recommend Stephen Kinzer’s The Brothers, the story of the long rule of John Foster and Allen Dulles over the State Department and CIA and their demonization of reformist governments that they often succeeded in overthrowing. Kinzer’s history of the Dulles brothers’ plots to overthrow six governments provides insight into how Washington operates today.

In 1953 the Dulles brothers overthrew Iran’s elected leader, Mossadegh and imposed the Shah, thus poisoning American-Iranian relations through the present day. Americans might yet be led into a costly and pointless war with Iran, because of the Dulles brothers poisoning of relations in 1953.

The Dulles brothers overthrew Guatemala’s popular president Arbenz, because his land reform threatened the interest of the Dulles brothers’ Sullivan & Cromwell law firm’s United Fruit Company client. The brothers launched an amazing disinformation campaign depicting Arbenz as a dangerous communist who was a threat to Western civilization. The brothers enlisted dictators such as Somoza in Nicaragua and Batista in Cuba against Arbenz. The CIA organized air strikes and an invasion force. But nothing could happen until Arbenz’s strong support among the people in Guatemala could be shattered. The brothers arranged this through Cardinal Spellman, who enlisted Archbishop Rossell y Arellano. “A pastoral letter was read on April 9, 1954 in all Guatemalan churches.”


A masterpiece of propaganda, the pastoral letter misrepresented Arbenz as a dangerous communist who was the enemy of all Guatemalans. False radio broadcasts produced a fake reality of freedom fighter victories and army defections. Arbenz asked the UN to send fact finders, but Washington prevented that from happening. American journalists, with the exception of James Reston, supported the lies. Washington threatened and bought off Guatemala’s senior military commanders, who forced Arbenz to resign. The CIA’s chosen and well paid “liberator,” Col. Castillo Armas, was installed as Arbenz’s successor.

We recently witnessed a similar operation in Ukraine.

President Eisenhower thanked the CIA for averting “a Communist beachhead in our hemisphere,” and Secretary of State John Foster Dulles gave a national TV and radio address in which he declared that the events in Guatemala “expose the evil purpose of the Kremlin.” This despite the uncontested fact that the only outside power operating in Guatemala was the Dulles brothers.

What had really happened is that a democratic and reformist government was overthrown because it compensated United Fruit Company for the nationalization of the company’s fallow land at a value listed by the company on its tax returns. America’s leading law firm or perhaps more accurately, America’s foreign policy-maker, Sullivan & Cromwell, had no intention of permitting a democratic government to prevail over the interests of the law firm’s client, especially when senior partners of the firm controlled both overt and covert US foreign policy. The two brothers, whose family members were invested in the United Fruit Company, simply applied the resources of the CIA, State Department, and US media to the protection of their private interests. The extraordinary gullibility of the American people, the corrupt American media, and the indoctrinated and impotent Congress allowed the Dulles brothers to succeed in overthrowing a democracy.

Keep in mind that this use of the US government in behalf of private interests occurred 60 years ago long before the corrupt Clinton, George W. Bush, and Obama regimes. And no doubt in earlier times as well.

The Dulles brothers next intended victim was Ho Chi Minh. Ho, a nationalist leader, asked for America’s help in freeing Vietnam from French colonial rule. But John Foster Dulles, a self-righteous anti-communist, miscast Ho as a Communist Threat who was springing the domino theory on the Western innocents. Nationalism and anti-colonialism, Foster declared, were merely a cloak for communist subversion.

Paul Kattenburg, the State Department desk officer for Vietnam suggested that instead of war, the US should give Ho $500 million in reconstruction aid to rebuild the country from war and French misrule, which would free Ho from dependence on Russian and Chinese support, and, thereby, influence. Ho appealed to Washington several times, but the demonic inflexibility of the Dulles brothers prevented any sensible response. Instead, the hysteria whipped-up over the “communist threat” by the Dulles brothers landed the United States in the long, costly, fiasco known as the Vietnam War. Kattenburg later wrote that it was suicidal for the US “to cut out its eyes and ears, to castrate its analytic capacity, to shut itself off from the truth because of blind prejudice.” Unfortunately for Americans and the world, castrated analytic capacity is Washington’s strongest suit.

The Dulles brothers’ next targets were President Sukarno of Indonesia, Prime Minister Patrice Lumumba of Congo, and Fidel Castro. The plot against Castro was such a disastrous failure that it cost Allen Dulles his job. President Kennedy lost confidence in the agency and told his brother Bobby that after his reelection he was going to break the CIA into a thousand pieces. When President Kennedy removed Allen Dulles, the CIA understood the threat and struck first.

Warren Nutter, my Ph.D. dissertation chairman, later Assistant Secretary of Defense for International Security Affairs, taught his students that for the US government to maintain the people’s trust, which democracy requires, the government’s policies must be affirmations of our principles and be openly communicated to the people. Hidden agendas, such as those of the Dulles brothers and the Clinton, Bush and Obama regimes, must rely on secrecy and manipulation and, thereby, arouse the distrust of the people. If Americans are too brainwashed to notice, many foreign nationals are not.

The US government’s secret agendas have cost Americans and many peoples in the world tremendously. Essentially, the Dulles brothers created the Cold War with their secret agendas and anti-communist hysteria. Secret agendas committed Americans to long, costly, and unnecessary wars in Vietnam and the Middle East. Secret CIA and military agendas intending regime change in Cuba were blocked by President John F. Kennedy and resulted in the assassination of a president, who, for all his faults, was likely to have ended the Cold War twenty years before Ronald Reagan seized the opportunity.

Secret agendas have prevailed for so long that the American people themselves are now corrupted. As the saying goes, “a fish rots from the head.” The rot in Washington now permeates the country.
