Yesterday we installed a mini bar fridge in the kitchen as well as the queen sized bed. Here is the view from the bed

We are all connected

You and I had a simultaneous manifestation of Lucky Ducks it seems recently.....

About a month ago I was in the school bookstore with my niece. We were picking out books that I could read to her. I finally found one that she liked too that didn't have princesses or sponge bob square pants....geez (Big lesson in conditioning for me) and was intelligent, creative and humanistic. It's called "Lucky Ducklings" written in 2000 by Eva Moore. On the cover is a picture of the mother duck and her brood of ducklings. It is a real life story about people in a town that saves the ducklings after they fall through a water drain grate in the street and the changes they make to create a safer place for small animals.

A little astonished when your Lucky Duck appeared....

Should anyone have the means to go there (where the pic was taken) -
i can only recommend it. A good place to BE. Silence, except on weekends (bloody club in the hills).
A real retreat. And, winter-ready, too. Get an SUV to reach it safely and hassle-free.

Water drain?
Even stranger.
Our lucky duck now lives in the hollow carved out by a water drain,
which in the past produced massive waterfalls after each rain.
Which used to make us very nervous each time it happened, because if there
were to be any blockages to the tunnel which went from below our garden to the river
our cabins would have been flooded in seconds.

When they realized that this water drain was destabilizing the road above us
the municipality had the water's path diverted, and it now drains into the river further upstream.
And this hollowed out cavelike place is where Lucky Duck chose to settle.
He can leave, but never does. Always stays in a small two square meter area.

Im going to ask the Villagers to make sure the duck is well taken care of when we go to Barbados in December.
He needs not only to be given fresh water and grains regularly, but his mirror needs to be polished
and the pool water needs to be changed every two days, as all get really muddy.
Rainy season here.

I have similar this morning, as I go to make arrangements for a procedure. The MRI and my on-the-ball GI doctor show what the problem is with ongoing/worsening fluid around the lungs. It will be a long haul to complete, but I'm truly grateful it's not worse. Fred is always googling and giving me papers to read, that make me go 'yikes!'

There are different kinds of healing, as we know. For me, this starts on the inside and goes outward. With that MRI news yesterday, I felt a heart-burst outward, of happiness, gratitude to this doctor who has such a big heart and cares about me, of laughter that shows itself in little things daily, and love for everyone in my life. That love shows up most stark in those I didn't much like before, the ones who seemed too different from me. Now there's a pathway to them.
