Actually, I was just about to Google "scandalized cat meme" in response to John, when a truck hit a light pole a block away from my store, cutting the power.

I should have answered this post earlier. This is an example of the ‘Pauli effect’. I will describe this effect in another post. For the moment though, I need to deal with a ‘scandalized cat’. It was not my intention to scandalize any felines per se, maybe possibly a few oversensitive human cat-lovers idolizing the pale-copy 2D internet variety. Unfortunately though, our cat has been an invisible masterpiece since Wednesday. So I just want to tell her that her continued wonderful presence in our local 3D reality is greatly desired and to apologize for the mistake.

Wolfgang Pauli’s contribution to Jung’s synchronicity theory occurred through his numerous numinous dreams and their interpretation, and through the highly destructive ‘Pauli effect’. He was notorious for smashing an experiment merely by turning up at a laboratory. Another time he looked up out of a café window to see a red car go up in flames. The same sort of thing happened to Jung in the presence of Freud when the two men were falling out. It is a destructive kind of ‘synchronous synchronicity’ (Remo Roth) which however is not acausal as a true synchronicity would be, since there is a kind of instant short circuit between the mental state and the external reality.
The causal/acausal issue I find somewhat confusing. On one level, the ‘Pauli effect’ itself is not acausal since it seemingly arose out of Pauli’s inability consciously to process the negative energy surrounding his divorce otherwise than by inventing the antineutrino, a particle of antimatter, a week later. http://www.universetoday.com/51645/antineutrino/
It is easier to understand in terms of willpower. When you switch from the Logos ego (the skull brain) to the Eros ego (the gut brain), you switch off the will and go with the flow of the ‘unus mundus’ as it is called, the big All. Pauli’s taking of Jung’s psychology from metaphysics into the realm of empirical science, by observing observable phenomena, came at the cost of uncovering the metaphysical basis of quantum mechanics itself, since any single atomic decay is spontaneous, i.e. not observable, and hence collectively not observable either. This is highly paradoxical because it is quantum mechanics that places such emphasis on the observer’s crucial role. Hence, any venturing into nuclear mechanics, peaceful or otherwise, could only be through resorting to statistical methods, describing non-observable single decays. This assertion of the ego will is potentially catastrophic. I want to put in context a positive quote I made in the other post (‘Incarnation processes occurring in a few humans (…) could be accompanied by a parallel new creation and incarnation in the whole universe’) (my emphasis):

In the nuclear bomb, as in the nuclear power plants, the acausal incarnation process of the anima mundi, the production of psychophysical radioactivity, is mimicked by the conscious will of the ego. By artificially producing antineutrinos (psychophysical radioactivity), the conscious will of humankind would spoil the efforts of the anima mundi and create ‘children’ she does not want to give birth to. Thus the unus mundus would be charged with these destructive products of the sorcerer’s apprentices.
We shall see that the production of psychophysical radioactivity is also a process with an attribute that I call psychophysical nonlocality. In the case of the will-possessed sorcerer’s apprentices, this would mean that the whole universe is contaminated by the artificial creation of psychophysical radioactivity. This catastrophic perspective could however be compensated by the conscious observation of singular psychophysical radioactive decays in one’s own body. Incarnation processes occurring in a few humans following the multiplication principle could be accompanied by a parallel new creation and incarnation in the whole universe. As these people conten[t] themselves with observing the spontaneous incarnation acts of the anima mundi in their bodies and do not do anything by will, such incarnations are positive and constructive. They could therefore compensate the destruction of the universe by this artificial psychophysical radioactive decay produced in nuclear bombs and nuclear power plants by the will-possessed and inflated scientific ego.

This is why I take my tennis so seriously – not in the sense of winning, but in terms of observing multiple singular spontaneous creative events that can be game-changers, literally in their own tiny local way, but also, since this effort is not scale-sensitive, as a contribution to this macrocosmic picture. No one said anything massively important needed to be done. The beauty of certain tennis shots is that they are consciously observable (at least by me) as something else than the normal exercise of will in the application of practiced technique. This is crucial because beingconsciously observed is how they come about. This ‘in the zone’ play is not only beyond the scope of normal skill, it is also beyond the scope of the occasional fluke shot – when allowed to, an invisible hand takes over.

An example I was mulling over on waking up this morning was an occasion about ten years ago, when I was playing rather badly, thinking of my sister who had recently died, and hardly noticing we had a match point to save. For some reason, I suddenly thought ‘I don’t want to die’. What happened next was that my racket somehow made an unplayable return that I couldn’t have done on my own if I tried, and we went on to win the match. What was going on here? Saying ‘I don’t want to die’ sounds like the most extreme expression of willpower, but the double negative is actually on the contrary complete acquiescence in the life force. Life itself was saying that life is all there is, up to and including in the trivial here and now shape of this game of tennis. So, although on the brink, that was a game I simply couldn’t lose – and we can’t lose the big game either.

Just before entering the "Here and Now" i was thinking "I never come across a discussion about in what way pple interpret, understand and intergrate their synchronicities." And Bang! first thing i see is araucarias post about synchronicity! I'm occasionally on a Swedish astrology forum and syncs happen to me in connection with posts there but noone seems to be interested in discussing anything but astrology (which is also a kind of synchronicity right)

My first confirmation of this phenomenon was 10 years after the syncs took off in a dramatic way for me, and when finding Jungs biography the syncs immediately manifested with me dreaming the night before what i was going to read first thing in the morning as i opened the book.

How do you guys relate to the syncs to become more aware and evolve spiritually? Also i don't think that all syncs are a sign that you're on "The right path"; "it can just as well be the road to hell" as it was for me at that time and i knew nothing about the phenomenon way back then (Mercury retrograde brings up old themes) Jung says it happens when a subconscious archetype is constellated and more so in times of great changes, but gosh my days have been filled with these for decades, i can't keep up with all of them.

I've come across the idea (don't remember where) that experiencing syncs and being greatly impressed by them is a "phase" in ones spiritual maturation and that on another level they will not be as important.

True that synchronicities don't always mean you are on "the right path",
although up until about ten years ago I used to believe that.

But in those days I still thought that the guiding towards my path was something that had to be found outside of me...
And a coincidence, or synchronicity, was the road sign needed.
I got that idea from reading Kurt Vonnegut.
But not so much now, as I am shedding a lot of those older beliefs.
What has changed is that I'm not as obsessive in my search for meaning as I used to be.

Calmer now, and also more grateful for the clarity that has replaced the confusion and desperateness of my younger years.
It has to do with knowing what I'm doing and why I'm doing it.
Inner and outer management, of my little world,
and then sharing insights gained from that with whoever is interested.

A constant inner sorting, which helps to maintain my state of awe, each time I reflect.
It can only work, however, as long as I take full responsibility for my perceptions.
And whenever I reach that state I can see the ripple effect going outwards, and it's a beauty to behold
And so the awe effect increases.
I'm also in awe of everyone here, and the fact that we can sit down and write each other about these things, dedicating a few moments each day to this kind of sharing, with none of the strict rules which exist on astrology forums....which, by the way, is the reason I no longer participate there.

It's interesting, I still haven't regained my ability to sleep well, but since early October I've seen really vivid dreams every time I go to sleep. That happens very rarely, maybe only a couple times during the year. What makes them special is the fact that I've been getting physical sensations in the dreams as I'm really there, but they have not been lucid dreams since I have not been able to affect them. Some of the events in the dreams have been fairly fun and interesting, the others just the polar opposite. Deep sleep without the heaviness would be nice every now and then.

Every day I see so many different number patterns, especially yesterday. Still they do make me smile or laugh at times, among other synchronicities.

Energy Experiment:
6 years of drought in Southern and Central California (hell, maybe all of California.) Gigantic body of water to the west of California. Nearly 80°F and sunshine - and that HAS to be evaporating and lifting moisture aloft. Weather pattern moves west to east (in other words, the moisture IS over the parched land.) The moisture is not falling. It needs help/encouragement/assistance to fall.

Just looked at the radar and the weekly forecast: no rain, no clouds, just sunshine.

But, there is moisture aloft, over the parched land.

Experiment? Focused (human) energy. Cloud formation. Rain. Bakersfield to Sacramento. Rain.

You don't have to say, "I'm in." You can do this quietly. No fanfare. Just rain. The warm moist air is aloft. It needs to meet cool air. Be cool. Create or divert cool air to south central California. Help the droplets form. Help it rain.

{edit} There is NO chance of rain (http://graphical.weather.gov/sectors...php?element=Wx), adding validity to the experiment. If there is rain, (soon), it would be difficult to ignore the focused human energy as the cause.

Today was busy stacking wood and making room for the larger rounds to split. Finished waterproofing the deck this morning. Later on a friend of mine brought over some mixed wood and large red oak rounds. I'm tired but it's a good tired. Probably going to have a wood splitting party in a couple of weeks.
It's been so warm here that the leaves are just now starting to turn. Suppose to be in the 80's next week. Late Indian summer. Don't remember it ever being continuously hot this late in the season. I've only had two fires in the woodstove since September.

Here and now someone is having a party in the valley, I can hear Bob Seger echoing across the forest.

Wind I'm having the same kinds of experiences..... aware of the parallels. Things appearing - disappearing, everything shifting in front of me turning into liquid light....then back to 3d. Happening for a few months now consistently.
Also, one night last week about 8:00 pm I turned my computer off and a couple hours later I went to sleep. Then around 2:00 am I awoke, got up and walked out to the living room and saw that the computer was on and the internet. Have had quite a few Twilight moments recently.....

Remember Chico, everyone? He was my father-in-law's bulldozer driver, and died four months after him.
Well, his widow is still grieving and not leaving the house.
And when I discovered on Thursday that she has a few chickens and ducks and loves ducks, I knew that Lucky Ducky was meant to live with her. But until we arrived there with the surprise gift, (duck, plus pool) I had no idea that she actually owned a Moscovy duck, female. And Lucky was sitting in his pool, too scared of the new environment to come out of his familiar pond, when he was joined by this rather muddy duck lady, who could not believe her eyes when she saw this pool, plus pool boy.
