Default Testing mms and citric acid for potency

Is there any way to test mms and citric acid solution for potency and strength. I notice that when I mix the mms and citric acid , 50%, the color of the mixture before adding water is a very very light yellow, however, when watching some to the videos it seamed to me that the color was a slight brown color. Can one test the mms, citric acid or mixtures made after adding water? To further explain the question: Can you test the mms before activating; can you test the citric acid by adding some water to it; and finally can you test the activated mms with say 4 or 8 ounces of water?

I understand your post to mean that you want to check your batch of MMS?

The six drops of MMS was colorless, after adding the six drops of '50% Citric Acid Activator', it was a deep golden yellow. After adding it to 4 then 8 ounces of water, it was a lemony yellow. The same with 16 ounces of water, a lemony yellow only diluted.

I keep the solution in a spray bottle and I use to wash fruits and veggies, counter tops, sink, etc. I make a new batch every five days.

Thank you for bringing this up, with ebola knocking on our door, I was just wondering today, if MMS would be effective with the ebola virus outbreak. I bought the sodium Chlorite awhile back, and use it to purify my water. But, Ive recently thought, since it kills the Malaria Virus, it might also help kill the Ebola virus. I also read several articles today that state massive amounts of Vit. C is effective against virus', possibly even Ebola.

Depending on the quality of the Sodium Chlorite, it isn't unusual that you may have a pale yellow after activating rather than the darker brown shown in many videos . The lighter colour indicates less impurities.

Testing strips are a low cost method for determining active substances present in water..

http://www.lamotte.com/en/drinking-water/test-strips for instance is a page that describes different test strips (and other analysis tools).

The strip method tends to be a bit easier to use than the total liquid test chamber which requires a drop of reagent, to affect a color change.

Cost differences vary, and the preference of the user generally dictates if they will want to simply "dip the strip" and compare color for the parts per million (PPM) of the dissolved gas, or salts, or irons, etc..

Range and sensitivity is 0, 0.5, 1, 3, 5, 10 ppm for chlorine is available on one set of strips..

These types of test strips are generally available in pool supply stores, or departments many times.. If one is living in a climate where the time of year is winter, chances are the department store may have removed till spring-time these types of supplies. A pool specialty store, or the internet would provide information on tester strips.
