Default The Wisdom of Martin Luther King Jr.

    Hey folks,

I just wanted to kickstart the day (and perhaps the whole year!) by acknowledging this great man and all the efforts he has done in the name of human sovereignty. Today is MLK Jr. Day, and he is an individual that many of us revere for his unparalleled courage, integrity, and will to stand up and be a leader in the face of global injustice.

It was his wisdom that was the embodiment of his character and the driving force behind the rallying of the people.

    What is wisdom?

    wisdom
    [wiz-duh m]

    noun
    1.
the quality or state of being wise; knowledge of what is true or right coupled with just judgment as to action; sagacity, discernment, or insight.

Wisdom is not having a deep knowledge of information collected over the years, nor having an empathy for the down-trodden. It is using both in alignment with healthy action. Wisdom is having a healthy balance of masculine and feminine energy, which ultimately allows us to perceive our reality through a lens that is filtered with Truth.

Wisdom is aligning our thoughts, emotions, and actions together based on a mentality with a foundation of care. It is understanding enough knowledge to perceive that one's self and the whole world is in need of a healthy change, feeling a deep empathy for the plight of others, and taking action to manifest a reality based on cooperation and Natural Law.

Some of my favorite quotes by MLK:
"In the End, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends."

"Nothing in all the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity."

"Human progress is neither automatic nor inevitable... Every step toward the goal of justice requires sacrifice, suffering, and struggle; the tireless exertions and passionate concern of dedicated individuals."

"The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy."

"Change does not roll in on the wheels of inevitability, but comes through continuous struggle. And so we must straighten our backs and work for our freedom. A man can't ride you unless your back is bent."
In my opinion, sitting by a computer and cheering for those who are actually taking action out in the world is not enough. Communicating on Avalon is what gives us all the underlying support so we can attain knowledge and encourage one another along with healing and attention, but we need to convert these thoughts and emotions into actions if we will ever manifest a new reality: one based on Unconditional Love.

The questions that we seriously need to start asking ourselves is: "What am I doing to help change the world?" "What can I do to to help change the world?"

Avalon is full of the most intelligent, compassionate, wonderful people I've come across. There are healing groups and study groups that are based on Voluntaryism. But how can we bring this knowledge and awareness to those who are not yet awake or aware?

There are many people out in the world who are thirsty for information, but are in such conditions that do not allow them to procure certain information. There are people who are open-minded and strong-willed, who have no idea what is happening on this planet, but would join us in a heartbeat.

These are the people that we need to reach. The only way that we are ever going to change the world into what we envision is for us to reach the rest of humanity. I know that it is physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually tough, but we have to keep trying. I know that most people are too hard-headed to listen, but we have to keep trying anyway.

The smallest of gestures helps, and some people just need a little nudging down the right path. We can give them information, but it is up to them to decide what to do with it. There is no need to be a Public Figure, to write a book, to make a video, etc. All that it takes is to go out into your individual community and spread awareness in whatever capacity that you are able.

It all starts with informing our neighbors and spreading information. Ask yourself: "What skills, experience, knowledge, etc. do I have that I could use to help raise others' awareness?"

Wherever you are and whatever you are doing, I hope that you have a most wonderful day.

    Robin
