stories ‒ but not for all his anecdotes that critics complain are fake. The
controversial talk show host has been under fire for recollections of his reporting career.

In his 2013 book, ‘Keep It Pithy’, O’Reilly wrote, “I’ve seen soldiers gun down
unarmed civilians in Latin America, Irish terrorists kill and maim their fellow citizens
in Belfast with bombs.”

Asked about O’Reilly’s statements Friday, a Fox News spokesman told the
Washington Post that O’Reilly was not an eyewitness to any bombings or injuries in
Northern Ireland. Instead, he was shown photos of bombings by Protestant police officers.’

‘Fox News anchor Bill O’Reilly is under fire again as another one of his stories is
placed under the microscope. This time, his former CBS News colleagues are
disputing his reporting during the Los Angeles riots.

O’Reilly originally claimed that he and his colleagues “were attacked by protesters”
when covering the 1992 riots. “They were throwing bricks and stones at us,”
O’Reilly told an online interviewer in 2006. “Concrete was raining down on us. The
cops saved our butts that time.”

However, six people who covered the riots with O’Reilly for CBS’ Inside Edition at
the time told the Guardian they did not recall an incident in which, as O’Reilly has
claimed, “concrete was raining down on us” and “we were attacked by protesters.”’

have suddenly become devout Bible scholars. The duo recently came out in defense of
shamed NBC News anchor Brian Williams, claiming that he should be held to a “different
standard” from everyone else, presumably because of his celebrity status.

According to CNS News, Brzezinski believes that Williams “is one of the few people on
the face of the earth who is held to a different standard” from everyone else. Scarborough,
her colleague, agrees, having added that everyone makes “bad mistakes” and that Williams’
career shouldn’t be marked by “one or two or three mistakes.”‘
