Thanks Vortex Surfer. I became aware of econophysics during this thread but was unaware of Farrell's book.

    Analogy and linguistics:

Regarding the two papers forward here on this thread. One regarding time first paper in the OP.

The other Current Electric Flow analogy of the Silent Weapons of a Quiet War.

An electric current is a flow of electric charge.

    Money is currency

    Curren[t]cy

A river flows and the water is carried by a current

If it rains [additional money] over time the water over flows.....where does it go?

    over into the BANKS.

The banks hold the river current[cy].

Gold [Higgs] is sought for in river panning.

Gold has has three decay paths.

Gold is highly conductive to electricity

Gold is a highly valued curren[t]cy

Higgs [God particle] is a highly sought particle.

The Higgs [Gold] is very unstable, decaying into other particles almost immediately.

The financial market is unstable when money flows into negative curren[t]cy directions.

Gold's [Higgs]impact on the economy waxes and wanes, depending on how safe other investments are. In fact, you can tell how healthy the economy is from the price of gold

All this thought I captured in the middle of the night.

I must be looking for something
    Something sacred I lost

    But the river is wide
And it's too hard to cross
And even though I know the river is wide
I walk down every evening and I stand on the shore
And try to cross to the opposite side
So I can finally find out what I've been looking for
In the middle of the night
I go walking in my sleep
    Through the valley of fear
    To a river so deep
And I've been searching for something
    Taken out of my soul
    Something I would never lose

    Something somebody stole

I know I'm searching for something
    Something so undefined
That it can only be seen
By the eyes of the blind
In the middle of the night

I'm not sure about a life after this
God knows I've never been a spiritual man
Baptized by the fire, I wade into the river
That runs to the promised land
In the middle of the night
I go walking in my sleep
    Through the desert of truth
    To the river so deep
We all end in the ocean
We all start in the streams
    We're all carried along
    By the river of dreams
In the middle of the night

Time is borrowed energy. The arrow of time is the "one-way direction" ~ or...Entropy

    Entropy:

(physics) The amount of energy in a closed system unavailable to do work (symbol S). 2. (Information Theory) The loss of information in a transmitted message. 3. The tendency of matter and energy to disintegrate into a state of uniform inertness. 4. The deterioration of a system or society over time.

Barney Smith, predicted considerable entropy among the major financial institutions in the course of 2009.

    Phisics smybol for entropy is:

    S

Apply two [river] banks in the middle of exchanging curren[t]cy and you have this:

Sometimes shown as this: A one [world] bank [closed] system:

What symbol is on your keyboard?

    $
