Sustained Constant Ringing In Ears

I have read that sustained ringing in the ears is a sign of spiritual ascension, something that happens as you move into higher vibrations. But there is a medical explanation for it as well - the medical field calls it tinnitus, and they say it can be caused by a number of things, including noise induced damage to the ear, neurological damage, emotional stress, and nasal allergies, among others - some even say smoking marijuana causes it. I'm wondering because I've been experiencing it for about 5-6 months now. I have smoked some marijuana in that time, so that could be the cause. Then again, I've heard and read in many places about the spiritual properties of weed, which would make the answer, "Yes, it's the weed, and yes, it's a spiritual thing." I'm sure there are other who have experience with this constant ear ringing. I'm curious to hear about those experiences and see what others think is the cause. My gratitude to those who are responding and/or reading.

I've had ringing, more like a loud hum, come and then go. Did you ever have it come and go, even over many years between, and then the last time it came it stayed? Is that what happened?

I have high pitch sound in my left ear every night when I go to bed and sometimes even during the day.
I do have ear damage in my RIGHT ear and I used to have electrical buzzing sound on that side but it dissipated with time.

The left side on the other hand I had no issues with but the high pitched sound is still there. Normally it doesn't last very long.

I've had ringing in one ear for over 10 years. The MD ear specialist says it's nerve related but just how and why he didn't know. It could be medication related. It could be genetic. One thing I do know is, in my case, that it's not spiritual. It's annoying. It sounds like the tubes on an old tube TV going bad.

High pitched ringing constantly dogs me too. Sometimes it may be more pronounced when my brain is dehydrated. I think electricity elevates the sing, definitely light bulbs. I sometimes wonder if certain times of day have higher-pitched frequencies when more people tune into their t.v. screens, or higher stressed times like rush hours.

I think there could be multiple reasons for hearing ringing in the ears besides tinnitus. Seems to me that reality on earth, and all the electromagnetic frequencies that always exist, plus the explosion of radio, tv, and wireless digital transmissions in our modern civilization, all combine to vibrate audibly in our heads.

Mine is caused from going to bars. I am not a drinker, I just loved dancing. I only went to dance. As I got older the ringing started happening after I was at the bar. LOUD SPEAKERS! Loud music. I would go to bed and the next morning I would wake up and the ringing would be gone. But one time the last time I went the ringing never went away. It stayed. I've had it for about 20 years from now. I wish someone would have warned me that loud music would cause ringing in the ears. I was never told. So now I'm warning my children and my grandchildren do not listen to your boom boxes and loud music or you will suffer as I do. They don't listen, all I can say is when they start hearing the ringing I'm telling them I told you so, you were warned many many many times.

I have had a loud, high pitched ringing in my right ear for 49 years since a small explosion did some damage. Actually, it seems to be inside my head. If there were to be additional sounds in my head associated with spiritual ascension, I would never hear them.

Ever since I have came into spiritual knowledge and going within for answers and trusting my own wisdom I have had ringing in both ears I believe this to be higher vibrational energy. The more we are in tune with our inner selves the higher these energies become until we only become what we really are. One night in between my sleeping and waking state I came to a conclusion in my mind and said something like "it doesn't matter" and my energy became so increasingly high pitched in my head it felt like I was turning into something else that wasn't all the way human that could of very well been the wa out for me but it was new and my thoughts got the best if me and I returned to a normal high pitched sound. My conclusion is it is nothing to be afraid of or worried about but it's our natural state of being and it can increase to great heights if we know how to let it.

Both of my ears ring, can't remember when it started. Seems like it's always been there. It's very high pitched. It used to bother me a whole lot, to the point where I'd get way too frustrated with it. Once I go into mediation, I began to use it as a baseline to focus on, now I quite enjoy it. If I need to focus and quiet my mind, I just listen to the ringing and everything else fades away. Sometimes I can hear my heartbeat embedded in it. Right now, it's very loud. Sometimes, not so much. But I've found it does fluctuate a lot during the course of a day or week.

I've been to plenty of metal concerts growing up, always the front row, in front of the walls of speakers. Danced a lot in clubs, too. Blasted music through headphones during all of my teenage years. Smoked the wonder-plant for about three years (just called it quits a few months ago, with cigs), I really don't think that has anything to do with it. It helped if anything. Sometimes I get swept up in the "alternative" meanings behind it since that's kind of my life now, but I assume it's just ear damage and now that my senses are more sensitive, it just stands out more.

It can be related to the mobile phone / Wi-fi network that are beyond the range normally considered. Scalar and other tech too. I walk past some types of home alarm systems on houses and have heard the constant connection to the network. I won't go down the rabbit hole too much further than that but it does go way way deeper. It can also be attempts of you guides to make contact with you. The right ear can be that. Or it could be a telepathic connection etc. But, i would not want to define it for each individual but just want to offer some of the range of possibilities they are.

Seeking highly intuitive consultation would aid in that for the individual and on my website i do know a few around the world. As you would guess, the tech employed by those who would not want you getting guidance from such realms do aim to suppress it. As, i have had issues of people's DNA being used as scalar attacks. The choice to avoid exploring the inner healing path can be an antenna for such things. Once you do and resolve it can eliminate the 'invite'. There are no hooks to you. As some people (those caught in DIS belief of the nature of reality we live in especially) are used to bounce such frequencies to those becoming more consciously aware of the truth of our reality. And, attempt to pull the reigns before the horse has bolted metaphor. Try adding some randomness to the way you live also. Go different routes, places and don't give indication of your plans away. Test such things and observe yourself. Really also be aware of what you are doing and when such things occur. Try to identify the patterns of it. Even to the level of your emotional state within. All good inner training and observational stuff. As, it might be a particular emotion that provides the avenue to it etc. If it is a guide etc. You might have to really get into the subtle nature of it and tune yourself to what is being offered.

I do once or twice a year seek ear candling. It greatly aids in the inner state of mind and potential elimination of such interference. Energetic defense too. If you have yet to explore it yourself as a healing modality. Very worthwhile.

FraZZled, concern for your children and grandchildren's hearing is completely understandable. Back in the 80's I used to listen a lot to my cassette headphones super loud, often while painting in art school, and my professor would warn me, "you'll ruin your hearing!" Of course I didn't listen! But I also went to loud rock concerts and lots of shows in bar venues with giant speakers. Lucky for me that in the 1990's, my audiophile husband gave me a nice pair of earplugs which let good sound quality through for enjoying the music. I wore them for all the loud shows and carried them in my purse. Sonic damage is for sure a major cause of ear ringing but I also sometimes harbor suspicions about other dimensional frequencies interacting with ours. Who knows there is such an infinite range of frequencies charging our realities.

Ringing in my right ear has been constant, I noticed it first in 2010 and that's also when I started to really awaken. Sometimes solar flare activity intensifies it.

I too have noise in my ears (head) from 2010. I have found the exact noise and it's 8000 hz. In fact I have perfect hearing except I can't hear 8000 hz on the sound exam because 8000 hz is 4x the sound of my voice. Since 2010 it started as a very small quiet 8000 hz and has steadily increased in volumn. It all began when I went for a root canal. I saw a small piece of metal on the tray that was about the size of a grain of rice. I asked what it was and the dentist said it was a post to keep the tooth anchored to my jaw. I told him I was allergic to metal but he told me it was going into my mouth no matter what. I told him do not put it in and he did anyway. He showed me the xray after putting it in. Looked like it was there so I went to my regular dentist and told him to take it out. He drilled the filling out and there was no post. I have taken many types of xrays including panoramic and 3D and the post is not there. However I still have the noise at 8000hz. The noise must not be very loud kind of like when you plug your ears and your voice sounds extremely loud.

I get bad tinnitus, most of the time it's there at a high frequency in both ears (at a very similiar tone to the one Chancy has), although once in a blue moon I am blessed and it seems non-existant for a few days. This has been going on since 1999 (ish) for me. I also have hyperaccusis, and vertigo (on average 3 attacks a week) and have not worked since 2001 sadly.

I really don't believe it's down to smoking weed, that would calm things down not make them worse, in my opinion....and I love the herb

There was a recent case which was in the news where specialists managed to map the effects of tinnitus in the brain in one older patient. More info here.

The 5100 Hz tone

In another forum we recently discovered, that several of the people are hearing exactly the same frequency: 5100 Hz.
Participants were from US as well as from Europe. Many of them hear the same 5100 Hz frequency.
I also hear it, it think since the mid 90-s. My daughter sometimes hears the same tone. Intensity differs and is dependent from my own status and also from the location. There are places on earth where I almost have no ringing in the ears.

From these facts I conclude, that there must be a technical (3D or 4D) source that produces a 5100 Hz signal, which causes ringing in the ears in many people. Perhaps one or more of the mobile phone networks.

I've noticed that, among the "New Age" or alternative people around me, about 20% or maybe 30% seem to have been experiencing the high-pitched sound, at least since around 12 or 14 months ago.

Unfortunately, there wasn't the kind of interplay of discussion in that thread that I had hoped for. Instead, there were the believers that the sound is a good thing and benevolent, and the believers that "they know" it's mind control or at any rate some kind of spin-off from such things as mind control or AI.

A month or so after discussion on that thread had stopped, I managed to confirm that in my case the sound was benevolent, despite the suspicions I had at the time that it was probably not benevolent in some way. The way I verified it was by going into higher planes where there's no duality and where negative or hostile beings simply can't get to. And I noticed that sometimes the high-pitched sound was still there.

I'm pretty sure any "advanced" meditator can do the same. Particularly since now, the sound comes only when I meditate or else before I go to bed. And before I got to bed I go through a variety of things to still the mind and raise my "vibrations".

Although the sound has had a pitch around F-sharp, it has jumped up an octave three times. Each time it did so, it sounded more melodic and less electrical, and also less loud or distracting. It now sounds rather beautiful, as I experience it now. But for some months it was a hell of a nuisance, particularly when I wanted to go to sleep quickly. It now sounds a little like a violin sound. Incidentally, if you (can) go into nirvana (the second-lowest of the seven levels of pure Source) , you may often hear a very similar violin-like or strings-like sound.

At home I use two orgone accumulators (plus other devices), including a contemporary version from www.orgoneffectsaustralia.com. These convert wi-fi and other radiation, as well as digital and geopathic stress radiation, into a pro-life form (by reversing the polarization). But to say that the sound could be caused by such radiation doesn't seem to fit my experience. For instance, why does it come usually only at night (plus whatever time I might choose to meditate)?

I have had constant ringing in my ears for about 20 years or so, caused by loud music in nightclubs and noisy work places.
it sounds like a high pitched constant beep, it has never bothered me although it is always there I never give it any attention.
