Here is what he has to say about this coming Mercury Retrograde:

So then I came across this picture and thought hey! Maybe these T-shirts will come in handy now....

Updated version of the motif. Note: There is a cheetah drinking from the fountain in the center of the village while the cat who is perched above on a porch railing of a house looks on. There are birds flying in the sky and the whole layout of the village is different than it was before in order to fit in those things that ulli wanted in the artwork. Oh, and there's more color too.

He he, here's a control freak alright and all the same I love Mercury retrograde because even the sceptics tend to notice when the trixter is messing things up. But also old friends pop up which happened to me 3 times yesterday already. One of them i invited for dinner and as i was going to get some food i couldn't find my purse

I turned the apartment upside down, tried to calm down thinking I'm still alive, i'm not in a fragile boat in the Mediterranean, I can borrow money from my friends...I called the police to report it lost, I blocked my Viscard an driving licence......

I then went into a room I seldom use but visited just before leaving; it was raining and I had fetched a pair of socks in a drawer....and...there it was Big relief but now I have to get new cards and unlock my driving licence..but that's peanuts...Love you since you put me in contact with helping friends and a story to tell.

A few weeks ago we installed an electric motor on our main gate. Wired to an opener in the kitchen, plus two clickers in each car to open and close it when driving in and out.

Well, yesterday that Mercury issue appeared in all its glory.
A sister-in-law picked me up to go to a birthday party up in he mountains. The car already had three passengers in it, one being my elderly mother-in-law. My husband still away, so they thought it was best that I came with them.

We drive the two hundred yards down to the gate which I had opened from the kitchen, so when we drove through it I pulled the clicker out of my bag to shut it. The gate would not shut. New battery, yet no motion.
In a country like this you NEVER EVER leave your gate open. So poor sis had to turn around on that narrow drive to take me home again to get the other clicker from the second car. Turning around a third time now. Pouring rain with wind gusts, me getting soaked. The clicker was not where it was supposed to be... Long search..
Found it drive down again...not working either..

I decide to forget about the party....husband unreachable. Gardener calls worried because my gate was still open, which he happened to notice, when going by there. Yesterday was his day off.

Anyway, I could go on boring you with lots more happening all at once...the whole procedure lasted one hour. This morning I drove down to the gate one more time, and the gate opened and closed with no prob. Sunshiney day...
So the lesson is don't expect to open the electric gate while it rains, even if there is an emergency.
But we live in a rain country and the rainy season is just starting....

Roisin, I like that picture. My kind of Village, despite the fact that I no longer go to church,
it is still comforting to know that some people do.

Leopards roaming freely...fabulous.
Better there though than from my toilet bowl, the way some domestic cats drink.
It would still take me a while to allow a big cat inside my home. But I do love looking at them on YouTube.
Would love to hear what the other Villagers have to say.
Perhaps I should have waited and kept my opinion until last.

That's not a church ulli... it's just a steeple (perhaps for a community meeting hall) to give more balance to the composition.

All the buildings are 3d models I textured and painted in Zbrush and photoshop.

Right. It just reminded me of the Village where I was confirmed in the Lutheran Church.
Here is a picture of Venne, Northwest Germany. Quite similar, in a way.

Sync sync ulli! My father keeps talking about these carclickers after my purseincident since he thinks there would be someone that has invented something similar to search for lost items in one's immediate surroundings.

I found a website from 2000 with this kind of invention esp for pple with eyesight problems, but I could not find any such item to buy in any Google link. There's an"app" though for this purpose but then you must have a smart phone and that's not an option for my father......

My elderly Father is quite ill and is in a lot of physical pain mostly in his right hip area. He's having to take more pain medications.
He's also lost a lot of his mobility and his appetite isn't very good.

I'm asking for prayers of healing for him and to reduce his pain. He's open and receptive.
