Default Labour leadership: Jeremy Corbyn on leader result ....

I am not a Labour or New Labour supporter , though I am a trades unionist . These
two politicians are genuine from what I have read and seen. Jeremy of the old left
man of the people and Tom who has been in the thick of the child abuse cases
over recent years trying to expose elitist cover ups, after the Jimmy Saville affair.

Labour leadership: Jeremy Corbyn on leader result ....If any of the other 3
candidates were elected, I would not bother posting this . Jeremy like Ron Paul,
although on opposite sides of the political spectrum is a breath of fresh air.
Unfortunately the corporate mainstream media will do their best to discredit him
as they have been trying to do already. He has appeared on RT and other alternate
media , I hope he will continue to do so.....

than 400,000 votes cast, trouncing his rivals Andy Burnham, Yvette Cooper and Liz
Kendall. He immediately faced an exodus of shadow cabinet members - but senior
figures including Ed Miliband urged the party's MPs to get behind him.

    Aye,

just different cheeks of the same arse in my opinion.

The game of politics in four easy steps:

Step 1 - make loads of promises

Step 2 - tell people what they want to hear

Step 3 - then once you are in

Step 4 - revert to the script as normal.

I have never been a labour supporter.

I did feel that labour supporters who elected the so called new labour with Tony Blair and his cohorts were used, cheated and discarded.

It now seems that the old new labour crew cant believe what has happened to them and their hi jacked party, they seemed shocked that a socialist party might return to its roots through an election by its members who have obviously had enough , have begun to wake up , and spoken loudly and clearly, long may this continue.

I am not sure if this man will live up to expectations or will be allowed to continue to go forward or he is just another stooge but I welcome another small sign that people are starting to wake up and directing change.

I know many will argue this and that but I am going to take this as another small victory today, take hope and pleasure from it , and let it recharge my optimism a little

    love and respect

Personally I hope it will be like my man Ritchie Allen says "at least we will have someone asking the tough unasked questions every week @ Prime Ministers questions" & beyond that.
I can't say for certain but I can & do state in public that this will be my very last time in putting my faith into a politcal figure.

    A+ cidersomerset.

I'd love to believe that Corbyn could win the next election and then, as prime minister,
he might scrap the UK's subservient relationship to the USA, and in so doing, stop the
slaughter of innocent people by British soldiers.... at the whim of the Americans.

I'd like to think that Corbyn wouldn't have allowed that complete bullsh!t that was
the UK involvement in the extermination of hundreds of thousands of Iraqi people.

I'd like to think that Corbyn really could get rid of the UK's nukes.

But the USA have successfully intimidated, bribed and extorted cooperation from
most of the European countries in applying economic sanctions against Russia...
...over Ukraine and over MH17. Even France, which put up such staunch resistance
over Iraq, caved in, over the Russian Sanctions and the Minstral warships.

But ... it's all living on 'hopium'... the American's will get their way because they'll threaten
various 'responses' .. that will probably involve crashing the UK economy in some way.
There are strong links between Wall Street and London's financial sector and either
they'll put pressure on 'The City' to deal with Corbyn, or they'll manipulate the FX markets
in sterling, or they'll crash the London Stock Exchange, or they'll manipulate the UK bonds
market to make it harder for the Govt to raise capital. And if all that doesn't work, they'll
just kill him. It all boils down to gangster-esque bullying and extortion.

However heroically well intentioned, alas, I suspect Corbyn is destined to fail.

I predict that some bad people in the media will already be looking for something
to smear Corbyn with: That he's taken money from X. Or even that he's involved
in some way with the pedophilia scandals. That he's shagged someone's wife.
That he's a communist. That he's been sponsored by Russian intelligence... etc etc

The media are going to fry him alive... in the run up to the
next general election. I'm sure most Britons already expect this will happen.

However, I wish Corbyn every success and truck loads of good luck.
    I've got my fingers crossed.

    be happy :-)

The irony of 'Democracy ' in the UK and US I think ? using the first past post
system means that most elections are won & lost in only part of the country or
State in the US, known as swing seat or state respectively.

Bridgwater is a Labour town mainly because it is an industrial hub in a rural area ,
so the council is usually Labour , but the constitauncy Sedgemoor which is mainly
rural is conservative, with a substancial sprinkling of Lib/Dems as well. But for the
past 60yrsor so we have had a conservative MP , and this is mirrored around the
country. It is about time a better system is found so that all votes count like
    proportional representation.

I know the corrupt politicians from all parties have to be expelled from politics and
TPTB who control the world has to be exposed . As we know many candidates are
picked and paid for either before they are elected or soon after , especially if
they are getting into governmental positions. I expect even Mr.Corbyn will have
some skeleton in the cupboard to exploit, otherwise its blackmail or some other
form of coercion or failing that a 'JFK'.....

Sedgemoor , Bridgwater council is the red bit..LOL

Conservative Defence Secretary Michael Fallon has said the Labour
party under Jeremy Corbyn presents a big "risk" to Britain's national
    and economic security.

Mr Corbyn won the leadership contest by an overwhelming majority,
seeing off a challenge from frontbenchers Andy Burnham, Yvette Cooper and Liz Kendall.

Mr Fallon claimed all working people would be worse off under a Labour government.

You make an excellent point. Yes they will, as they do each time. They did with the anti-EU party here in the UK and based on that, I expect just the same media type attack to be used against Corbyn. Each time we the voting public go against the mainstream they do the same. But each time we are more awake. And we keep comming

Also points against Tony Blair. Makes it so much sweeter :D

If you notice what's happening to politics in the UK, it is moving from being polarised around a political axis to being polarised around a geographical one.

20-40 years ago, there were 3 parties that had substantial representation the length and breadth of the country. Now there are none. The Tories got decimated in Scotland at the end of the Thatcher era and 20 years later, Labour (the traditional party of Scotland) was likeways wiped out.

I think that what's happening now is that Labour is consolidating and indeed "rediscovering its roots" but around a rump. I just don't think England (without a left wing political base in Scotland) is left wing enough to bring an anti-war, anti-austerity, industrial nationalising party to power. This in turn will further consolidate the geographical diversification as other parts of the UK conclude that they now have even less influence in London given the long term muzzling of the English left.

Even if Labour did do an about turn and try to re-kindle the Blair-Blunkett-Straw-Clarke type politics, it will be too late because the Conservatives now have acres of space to manoeuvre and clean up the "middle ground".

To me, the English left is finished and what we're seeing is a nostalgic "last breath" - the "dead cat bounce" in market speak. My hope is that that means Scottish independence is around the corner which would at least re-balance the country, albeit around a geographic rather than political axis as I say. But you never know - nightmare scenario could be that there's no English left wing revival and no Scottish independence in which case we'll just have to hope for 9/11 exposure, UFO disclosure, worldwide financial collapse, NWO mass paedophile scandal...pick your favourite menu item from the conspiracy chocolate box...to shake things up.

By the way, I live in Catalonia right now and in 13 days there's a snap election being called to give the regional government a mandate to leave Spain and declare UDI (Unilateral Declaration of Independence). It hasn't been very much publicised by the wider media but it may potentially make interesting spectator sport for those abroad.

The Spanish defence minister has said that there will be no role for the military "if everyone does their duty" which seems to have given the independents a bit of a boost.

    Interesting times all round.

Mark Twain was an astute observer and has some great quotes... 'Rotten Boroughs'
were rife in the 18th & 19th century Britton and the US had similar problems ,
people bought votes regularly. This was supposed to be stamped out , but due
to the 'lobby' systems ' money still buys ' congress and the senate. Similar things
go on in many so called 'free democracies ' . Saying that this is a change in British
politics and it would be great if the 'real truth' about what goes on behind the scene.
That is unlikely to happen , but it has at least shown the political elites some of
the 'sheeple' are waking up imo.....

    Corbyn’s Victory

By David Icke on 14th September 2015 Political Manipulation

‘Jeremy Corbyn’s victory yesterday is a clear message to the British political world.
You politicians had better start listening to the people, otherwise you will be out.

But his victory goes has ramifications beyond British politics. In recent weeks an
alliance made up of British Jewish leadership (BOD, Jewish Chronicle etc.) and
heavily supported by their caretakers within the British establishment, have waged
a brutal yet counter effective campaign against Corbyn. The campaign abused and
slandered the last gentleman in British politics and probably the nicest man in the
    parliament.

Prior to the election, as it became clear that Corbyn was well ahead of his rivals and
destined to become the next Labour leader, the Jewish and Zionist media used all of
their tricks to destroy him. The Labour leadership contest was subjected to the full
range of ‘Jewish sensitivities’: Corbyn was associated with and then accused of Arab
and Muslim ‘terror’, ‘treason’ and ‘holocaust denial.’ The British media failed to discuss
Corbyn’s politics, his anti austerity plan or even his take on foreign affairs. But,
miraculously, none of that damaged Corbyn’s campaign. Quite the opposite, the more
dirt they slung in his direction, the more people rushed to support him.’

Jeremy Corbyn unveils 'unifying' shadow cabinet team

    From the section UK Politics

Jeremy Corbyn has unveiled what he called a "unifying" new shadow cabinet,
naming his left-wing ally John McDonnell as shadow chancellor.

Defeated leadership rival Andy Burnham is shadow home secretary, while Hilary
    Benn remains shadow foreign secretary.

The most senior roles on the Labour front bench are all taken by men, leading to
    criticism from some MPs.

But half of the total posts went to women, including shadow defence, education,
    business and health.
◾Follow all the latest developments with our rolling coverage of shadow cabinet
    appointments

Angela Eagle, the new shadow business secretary, was also named shadow first
secretary of state and will stand in for Mr Corbyn at Prime Minister's Questions
when Prime Minister David Cameron is away.

Her twin sister, Maria Eagle, has been made shadow defence secretary.

Mr Corbyn said his new line-up was a "strong combination of change and
continuity", adding: "We have delivered a unifying, dynamic, inclusive new shadow
cabinet which for the first time ever has a majority of women."

Pretty good summery , I spent a weekend in Barcelona on my 50th birthday , a
beautiful city.I hope it is not ripped apart by violence , as Madrid threatens not to
let Catalonia become independent what ever the up coming referendum says....

I've been reading a book about Middle Age legends and one is a about El Cid . and
what people probably don't know unless you are Spanish or interested in History
Spain has only been in its modern united form since the late 15 hundreds and the
last muslim city was not captured untill around the time Collumbus sailed to the
    new world.....

Spain around the time of El Cid 1097 , though the borders were fluid over this
period...It gives you the sense of the roots of various regions and Kingdoms of the
Iberian peninsula. Most of Europe was like this after the fall of the Western Roman
    Empire.

Hundreds of thousands rally for independence in Barcelona

Up to 1.4million Catalans fill the streets of Barcelona in massive show of strength
for region’s Independence Movement – just two weeks before make-or-break elections

‘An estimated 1.4million Catalans filled the streets in a massive show
of force for the region’s separatist campaign.Demonstrators thronged
the streets of Barcelona, the region’s capital, waving red and yellow
    Catalan flags and yelling ‘Independence!’

The show of strength was held on Catalonia’s annual National Day on
Friday, at a time of high political tension between the region and Spain’s
    central government.

elections that could prove to be a make-or-break moment for Catalonia’s
    independence movement.’

I am sorry, but I think politics is a side-show.

I am aware that it is the system we all presently reside in, that this system is currently the only one we have, and it's origin may have been of good intent......... or may not. So in that sense I see the importance. I am also aware by not participating I am almost guilty of tacit agreement.

I just do not think that the real change we need is going to come from politics. We are handing our 'power' to someone else with the expectation that they will make things better, that they will fix it.

The real change is going to come from us, from within.

    Regards.

It's not a side show in the sense that it's one of the many levers by which true change will eventually be brought about.

You can't just walk up to the illuminati and say, "excuse me, could you stand aside please". Politics is a side show at the moment because people don't know what the true agenda is. If they know what the agenda is then politics is one of the tools at their disposal to address that agenda. Others include commerce, technology, information, cultural expression and so on. None of them on their own are anything but a "side show" until a relevant agenda emerges, at which point all of them can aggregate to facilitate change. They are tools - like spanners. It just depends on who's pulling the strings of those tools, the "Powers That Be" or the "People". The more the agenda becomes visible, the more pulling "The People" will do.

Why are we here having this discussion right now ? Because some aspects of "addressing the true agenda" (in this case the liberation of communications and information) found enough political expression to make an old military technology globally available at almost negligible cost. Have patience - there's good as well as bad in everything
