Thank you for sharing your first-hand knowledge about the recent pressures on Ecuador's environmental activists. For those whose lives have tragically been taken, may their souls rest or move on in peace.

On a different note, it's lovely to hear you speaking in the video about the connected nature of earth's systems – how they communicate with each other.

I've asked a few people recently where they believe the majority of earth's oxygen comes from. They all, like me, were surprised to hear that scientists propose between 50 to 80 percent is estimated to come from the ocean's phytoplankton. Makes you think even deeper about the impacts of events like the Deepwater Horizon disaster (AKA the BP oil catastrophe in the Gulf of Mexico.)
