An excellent post. Anyone who makes money through running a casino, which Trump did for quite some time, is not morally qualified to run a country in my opinion. We have had our fill of nutty casino-like behavior on Wall Street and the impact it has had on society and don't want want more of the same.

I see Trump as a kind of anarchist, who has little interest in actually governing and putting the brakes on the kind of extreme behavior we have seen in the past. He is all vainglory, showbiz and vaudeville.

If Trump was an anarchist he would get my vote like Kokesh already has for 2020 but Trump is no anarchist. He is an authoritarian. He wants to run your life. Just like Hillary and just like Bernie.

I believe there is plenty of support for Trump, but you don't hear about it, since most journalist covering this campaign will be voting for Hillary.

The narrative of him being a clown and unworthy comes from a liberal bias of not wanting to see Obama's creeping socialism being undone.

    My take here.
The narrative of him being a clown and unworthy comes from listening to him speak. He just spews words from his mouth. The man will never, ever admit he is wrong. Horrible and frightening traits of a leader. Sociopath and demagogue come to mind. Liberals and Conservatives alike see the dangers in this man.

Just cause he isn't the establishment doesn't make him a good choice.

Fake is simply the new real. lol. Well said, painter-doug, but I suspect Trump's sweep-over is real.
I do believe this political wrestling match is pre-scripted.

Donald Trump Admits He Makes Mistakes
"After what has surely been the worst week of Donald Trump’s presidential campaign, the candidate has been trying out a new, very un-Trump-like tactic: admitting his mistakes. In a new interview with New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd, the GOP front-runner admitted that he should not have retweeted a very unflattering image of Ted Cruz’s wife Heidi juxtaposed with a glam shot of Trump’s wife Melania.

Yeah, it was a mistake,” he told Dowd, conceding that “If I had to do it again, I wouldn’t have sent it.”
    [...]
"Back on Fox News Sunday, Trump also gave a succinct overall explanation for why he doesn’t apologize, as a matter of principle, noting that, “A lot of times, when you apologize, they use it as ammunition against [you].” But by admitting a pair of mistakes and acknowledging his inexperience after such a dismal week, Trump has now gotten the closest he ever has to going on an apology tour, so perhaps he's finally realized that projecting infallibility can wound you, just the same."

I have not had a political allegiance in so long I have forgotten. I have been disgusted beyond words at the political arena. That said, Trump brought some evidence that he is human, not a robot and besides being a laugh a minute, he is more honest and real than any person up on the podium that reads from their notes ( Bernie ) or teleprompters. I fell asleep with the Bush gang. I guess JFK's death left me empty that the end had come. Here is some FYI. I am from the NY/NJ area and I know how people talk and carry on with that background. Trump is not putting on a show as some think. That is the way of the New Yorker. All my family talked like that back to the grandparents. His gestures my grandmother used to have til her dying day. So judging his personality is kinda funny to me as that is who he is, from where he is from. His passion is dynamite because he has had yearssss of confidence in a conference room. We as the citizens have really never been exposed to a hard core businessman running for commander in chief. Did the man who ran Detroit have that chutzpah? Maybe. ( sorry forgot his name but my Dad always wanted him to run). Trump's fanfare is a deathblow to our senses because we are NOT used to it. He has the propensity of seeing the peripheral. I like that because I grew up with that gift and maybe it is my culture or background but I thought all kids had that vision until I found out that wasn't so.
Do we want the real change that Obama had people crying about? Of course we do and I have waited 8 yrs on that.
All we can do is hope to God that he stands stalwart in his beliefs and platform.

We are kindred souls painterdoug. We have a patient who is from Brooklyn and people don't get her but I do. She is smart funny and no nonsense. Since I live in California I so miss that colorful flair about people. It was much easier to laugh with people about life back East.
