I don't like Trump and have grave misgivings about that part of the deep state that supports him (military intelligence, most likely)...
    Quote Posted by AutumnW (here)
I consider the deep state to be all intelligence agencies, including military intelligence.
So, does this mean (according to what you've stated) that Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn is part of the deep state that you say supports Donald Trump?

If so, then it doesn't fit... Because, Flynn did hold the position of the 18th Director of the Defense Intelligence Agency under Obama. His firing from that position by Obama was supported by James Clapper - 4th Director of National Intelligence - which actually culminated into Clapper forcing Flynn to resign.

The following is from an article by the liberal-biased media, Vox:
"Retired Army Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn was fired from his last job in the military, sat next to Russian President Vladimir Putin after giving a paid speech in Moscow, called for Hillary Clinton to be imprisoned, and said President Obama was a “liar” with no plan for defeating ISIS."
To me, this just doesn't align with the Deep State that James Clapper, Mike Mullen, & John Brennan are so entrenched within.

    From Slate article:
"Some of Flynn’s moves also drew protest from Brennan himself, who saw the planned DIA clandestine ops as a power grab for the CIA’s turf."
So, it looks as though Flynn had attempted to pull away some of the power that the Deep State / CIA was holding on to. This is why he was fired / forced to resign.

As for Israel, it appears Israel's 'Deep State' is running into rough waters of its own...

A Belgian court has ordered the arrest of the former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Israel, Tzipi Livni, when she steps off the plane on her arrival in the Belgian capital Brussels on 23 January, official EU sources revealed on Thursday.

On 23 June 2010, a group of victims filed a complaint in Belgium to the Federal Prosecutor against certain Israeli civilian and military officials at the time, including Tzipi Livni, for war crimes and crimes against humanity committed in the Gaza Strip, according to Palestinian News Network (PNN).

The Federal Prosecutor’s Office confirmed that Livni would be intercepted by the Federal Judicial Police during her stay in Belgium to be heard and questioned following the complaint lodged against her and that it would ensure the necessary follow-up to this case.

Livni was the Israeli Minister of Foreign Affairs at the time of the Israeli military operation “Cast Lead” in the Gaza Strip, which took place from 27 December 2008 to 18 January 2009. She is scheduled to arrive in Brussels on 23 January to participate in a conference in the European Parliament.

Bibi has also been under some scrutiny as of late... The landscape will continue to change... One may have to discard the previously held notions one has held onto over the past several decades... seems to me, as we move forward, that there is somewhat of a purge taking place on a number of different levels...

The Times of Israel is reporting that police are calling on Israeli Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit to allow them to open a full criminal investigation against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

I don't think that Israel really gives a damn about what happens in Syria.
You must of missed this one...

Just as the Syrian proxy war showed some hopeful signs of finally dying down, the Syrian army command said on Friday that Israeli jets have bombed the Mezzeh military airport west of Damascus, accusing Tel Aviv of supporting terrorism, and warned Tel Aviv of repercussions of what it called a "flagrant" attack.

    Zerohedge
    With that said...

Quote I didn't know that Russia and Israel had great problems with each other.
With the above article, now you may come to know that Russia & Israel are on opposite sides of the 'Radical Islamic' spectrum... when it comes to Syria.

For economic reasons, Turkey has been readjusting its thinking when it comes to Russia & Israel.

I felt the same and mentioned it early in this thread, there are a few reasons for my 'extra' interest in this US election, first of all it goes back to around 2009/10 when David Icke was saying that he did not see change in 2012 which was the hot topic then , but did see 2016/17/18 as pivotal years and is why he embarked on his on going world wide tour starting late 2015 into 2016/17 and 18 if demand continues to listen to his talks.
This reflects my own wider view as well. For me, it all started with David Icke when a friend handed me a copy of The Biggest Secret in 2002. I then went deep into the rabbit hole and chased reality, woo-woo and everywhere between with a passion. I have always recalled what I believe has been David Icke's most important message - it all requires a consciousness shift. I then recall his pointing to this time frame and specifically 2017.

To me, the election of Trump is a reflection of a consciousness shift in the US. I do not pretend that Trump will be who and what these folks hope as we all know all sorts of things can happen but the vote for Trump itself along with the Brexit vote demonstrates that there has indeed been a "waking up" to some extent in the US and UK (and appears to have spread and be spreading) as Icke said would be a must and at about the same time he predicted years ago.
All the above is all and only my opinion - all subject to change and not meant to be true for anyone else regardless of how I phrase it.

This forum is clearly pro-Trump. I'm curious - Are any of you alarmed that Trump wants to push COAL, drill all our RESERVES, and get rid of all safeguards against industrial dumping and degradation of our air, water and soil, SELL off our National Parks to the highest bidder, and dismantle laws that protect CITIZENS and BIOLOGICAL LIFE from CORPORATE WILL?

Standing Rock - the gas is already in the pipeline and the water protectors are now being shot with real bullets.

The Trump machine - the RNC - with leads like Paul Manafort (who has been a longtime worker for Putin, ran the elections in Hungary, Poland, Czech, Ukraine, making close to 1 Billion Dollars for his work) is focused on gas deals and propaganda. The propaganda usually involves accusing the other side of everything you are doing. It's also the sign of sociopathy. The Russians love to accuse their enemies of running pedophile networks btw and are masters of psychological operations.

No protections for our water supply - polluters welcome. HOW IS THIS GOOD?

I should maybe clarify my own personal stance. And it's entirely personal: I genuinely respect all other views, and I may not have all the available information. (Who has??)

My personal view is also not totally shared by everyone on the moderators team — which is also important to understand. But our agreed stance (as mods) is to allow and encourage free discussion without trying to influence or skew anything in any way.

I think something remarkable has happened, which may be very important. My view is simple: if so many establishment figures (and institutions) were doing everything they possibly could, legally and illegally, to make sure Trump never held office — then his gaining office was something to support.

I think Joseph Farrell summed it up perfectly in his video here: it wasn't an election, it was a referendum — against the global agenda of the NWO.

    And that has my vote.

Thanks Bill - it does appear that Trump genuinely believes he is helping the "people" but how does that align with the fact that his actions are leading to allowing corporations to do whatever they want to the environment - our water, air, and soil - if it makes them money. And what of trying to remove ethics for members of Congress - voted on at midnight under a full moon - please tell me how that is a good thing.

Does establishment now = do the opposite? Trump had a lot of help "winning". A very powerful foreign state that is the world master of propaganda.

So many "establishment" people were against Trump - perhaps because because he is useful to the most predatory political criminal gangs in the business - the RNC. I mean - how does being Cheney-lite - how is that a good thing? Selling off national lands and resources to foreign countries??? highest bidders? Killing Native Americans at Standing Rock - that is now on him.

And of course, enabling and supporting bullying anyone with another opinion - another aspect that seems to be normalizing itself.

I would proffer a correction with your question... Its not this 'forum' that is pro-Trump, but this particular 'thread' that is pro-Trump.

I have not heard him say he wants to "drill all our RESERVES", or "get rid of all safeguards against industrial dumping and degradation of our air, water & soil", or "SELL off our National Parks to the highest bidder", and "dismantle laws that protect CITIZENS and BIOLOGICAL LIFE from CORPORATE WILL." I have not heard of any such thing. Can you please post a link to your source of information? I would appreciate it.

Trump is not a worshipper of Al Gore or a 'believer' in Global Warming. He is all for getting off the dependency of Saudi Arabia oil. As for the Standing Rock & the Dakota Pipeline:
    From Zero Hedge:
Trump sells his stake in Dakota Access Pipeline developer
    Monday, 5 Dec 2016
As we noted last night, after months of protests by the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe of North Dakota, among others, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers today effectively shut down the project by refusing to approve the last remaining permit required to complete a segment running under Lake Oahe. Per Reuters, the permit denial was heavily celebrated by protesters in Cannon Ball, North Dakota but means that Energy Transfer Partners will have to go back to the drawing board to identify a new route for the last segment of the 1,172 mile pipeline that is largely already complete.
So, I have only heard that he will attend to the issue after he has been inaugurated into his presidency.

So, its the 'wait & see' modus operandi.

    cheers...

My take on what is going on:

An emotional part of me can't help but cheering Trump, as one might cheer on a new Mafia family, that is over throwing another Mafia family that has been dominating your community with a heavy hand for too long.

But the strategic part of me figures that humanity is still far more under the control, surveillance and manipulation of a few elite, concentrated in certain families and societies, than I would like.

I figure that most of the issues that are and will continue to provoke the most angst are fires that are stoked by the manipulative deceit of minions of the elite, to keep us non-elite humans in never ending turbulent division.

I mostly focus these days on trying to understand the underlying reality, in various ways (technology, physics, economics, health, ...). I tend to engage less than I did in my younger days in the hotter battles that rage on seemingly forever.

Allaron, I understand your feelings about Trump, as I have many friends who are reiterating the same things to me.

I can only speak for myself. I was not a Trump fan, but against the political cronyism that permeated and ruled Washington for far too long. I was against the non-stop wars and destruction of the many countries that has taken place in the last 17 years.
I was against the growing disparity between the rich and the poor in this country.

Is Trump the "perfect" antidote for the many ills that have taken over the US? . . . NO, but he was the only other option. The previous options did not clean our air or improve our schools. The previous options allowed pharma costs to soar, allowed GMO's to rule our food sources, not to mention BP's cover up over the Deep Horizon incident. The previous options removed Glass Steagall to create this huge financial mess we now face.

Here's a fact: Barack Obama's Net Worth Has Risen 438% Since Running for President https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sb18kkVlRh4
Where do you think that money came from? He ran no business, sold no product.

Have you followed the thread here on PA regarding the Clinton Foundation? https://projectavalon.net/forum4/show...es-Ortel-video. Where has all the Clinton's money come from?

Do some research on most of our Congressmen as to what they were worth prior to holding office and what they are worth after being in office.

Honestly, I don't know what Trump will do. Yes, I see his many faults. But I also see the many possibilities of what he can do. Reaching a hand out to Putin doesn't mean he's being controlled by him. It simply means that Trump recognizes that in order to end war, you must find a way to get along with your (alleged) enemies. Instead of saber rattling, we must sit down and talk to every leader in every country. This planet has become too small to keep ruling by might. There is another way.

My hope is that Trump has opened the door to that other way. Whether or not he succeeds will depend on us. We need to hold his feet to the fire when he does something that seems to be wrong, but also praise him when he does right. This hanging him before he has a chance is not helping anyone but those neocon types who want to keep the fight going for their own profit.

P.S. to my previous post just above:
As regards to Trump in particular, as I've probably said before, I figure he is the point man for leading the US through yet more change, away from the century of American military, intelligence and monetary dominance, toward a multi-polar, multiple currency, world order, over seen by global institutions such as the UN and the BIS (which institutions are controlled by hidden hands, just as the US government has been this last century.)

I've been a peace activist for most of my life and I finally feel some hope that we may get a break from the endless wars of the Bushes, Clintons, Obama, CIA, etc.

My other concern is the rush of the elitists toward a cashless world, which as Aaron Russo indicated, is the 1984 end game for us non-elites. I don't know how Trump will fit into that scenario.

Perhaps, later in Trump's term. First the risk seems high to me of some sort of climatic conflict in the Middle East, involving "radical Islam", "Zionist Israel", and the current major powers. The tensions involving those factions have been building for decades, and a new world order, over seen by globalist institutions such as a reinvigorated United Nations, could be justified by bring these conflicts to a crescendo of violence.

That's a concern of mine too, and I expect that Trump will be a hand maiden to this unfolding. I expect a new world monetary order, in which multiple national currencies are woven together by exchange rates set by the BIS or some such agency, and in which almost all humans are brought "online", able to exchange money with anyone else on the planet, online and almost instantly, even in tiny amounts, but with exchange fees and a global exchange tax. What a "wonderful" means of mass surveillance and manipulation, as well of individual control, this would be, for the elite. Of course, once even the tiniest tax is associated with such electronic money exchanges, then that justifies surveillance and restriction of any means to work around such a system (such as using cash would enable.)

Internet security won't mean security from anyone except myself and those I choose with well informed consent. Rather there will always be one more exception - the deep global state. In other words, the ordinary thief won't have easy access to and control of my online presence, but the deep state will, and so long as they let me, I will too.

Just as a dramatic crescendo to the military, religious, political and energy conflicts may be used to motivate strengthening the United Nations ability to centrally over see multiple nations, similarly a dramatic crescendo to the monetary, debt, and economic crisis may be used to motivate the shift to this next world order with the BIS able to centrally coordinated multiple national currencies.

these atrocities coming into more and more people's conscious awareness!

Ethics and plenty of sense(cents) in returning to the gold and silver standards, imho...it would stabilize and balance economics as we know(don't) it but can (re)learn quickly! We have been confused and derailed and abused purposely, in all matters that matter. The federal reserve stole our birthright and made us the gold and silver so they could manipulate the economy with deceit and under-handed control. Many more Americans are finally becoming aware of this. Research can uncover "What gold can do for our money":

In this case he lost interest because of what he didn't know in regard to the facts, obviously, because he was mocking me for stating them:

Quote Twenty-six Things About the Islamic State (ISIS-ISIL-Daesh) that Obama Does Not Want You to Know About

This article was first published in November 2014.

Recent developments confirm what is known and documented: Washington is behind the Islamic State (ISIS-ISIL-Daesh) and at the same time it is behind the moderate Al Qaeda terrorists, which the Obama administration is supporting as part of America’s alleged campaign against the Islamic State (ISIS). And they expect us to believe that they are committed to waging a campaign against terrorists.

Obama is protecting both Al Qaeda and ISIS-ISIL-Daesh.

The US Airforce is acting on behalf of the terrorists.

The Islamic State (ISIS) was until 2014 called al Qaeda in Iraq (AQI).

Al Nusra is an al Qaeda affiliate which has committed countless atrocities in Syria. It is now considered by the Obama administration as the “Moderate Opposition” which has been “defending Aleppo” against Syrian government forces.

America’s “anti-terrorist campaign’ consists in supporting a so-called “moderate” Al Qaeda entity (Al Nusra) with a view to going after another al Qaeda entity entitled The Islamic State, formerly designated as Al Qaeda in Iraq.

“Al Qaeda is going after Al Qaeda”, and both wings of al Qaeda are supported covertly by US intelligence.

    The Liberation of Aleppo

While Aleppo has been liberated against the scourge of US-supported terrorism, most mainstream media are accusing Syrian government forces of committing atrocities against civilians, describing Aleppo as a humanitarian crisis. What they fail to mention is that for the last four years the Eastern party of Aleppo has been occupied by Al Qaeda terrorists who are now upheld as “opposition” rebels.

The terrorists are described as the victims of Syrian government aggression. From the very outset, the atrocities committed by the terrorists are casually blamed on Syrian government forces.

Moreover, the Al Qaeda affiliated rebels responsible for countless atrocities are trained and financed by US-NATO and its allies including Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Turkey and Israel.

Realities are turned upside down. The terrorists are portrayed as heroes and “freedom fighters”.

The defeat of the terrorists is described as a crime against humanity.

The Liberation of Aleppo is tagged as a humanitarian disaster.

Those who recruited, trained and financed the terrorists are upheld by the “international community” as the guardians of World Peace. The latter include the heads of state and heads of government of the US, Britain, France and Turkey among others. It’s called “Responsibility to Protect” (R2P).

Turkey provided a corridor for the terrorists into Northern Syria, they recruited and trained them in liaison with NATO.
Saudi Arabia and Qatar provided money, training and weapons to Al Qaeda.
The Obama administration ordered an air campaign directed against the Islamic State (ISIS-Daesh).
What the US-led coalition was doing was PROTECTING ISIS-DAESH, while bombing the civilian infrastructure of Syria and Iraq as part of a so-called “counterterrorism operation”.
    The Terrorists R Us….
The mainstream media applauds, The Lie becomes the Truth.
It’s official: Obama’s counterterrorism campaign requires upholding Al Qaeda as a “moderate opposition.”

It’s all for a good cause: install a puppet Islamic State in Damascus (modelled on Afghanistan), spread “Democracy Made in America” throughout the Middle East, confiscate the regions extensive oil and gas reserves, transform countries into open territories…

The diabolical plan of sending terrorists into Syria as the foot-soldiers of the Western military alliance has failed.

Aleppo has been liberated: a Sad Day for the War Hawks.

The Truth is a powerful weapon.

Even the trash establishment paper The Guardian admits there are no moderate rebels:

Quote Don’t rely on Syria’s ‘moderate’ fighting force. It doesn’t exist
    Mowaffaq Safadi

Those in the west who assume there is a coherent anti-Isis alliance are deluded. Reality is far messier

In the runup to the vote on airstrikes in Syria, controversy revolved around David Cameron’s claim to parliament that “about 70,000” Syrian opposition fighters on the ground who do not belong to extremist groups could help fight Islamic State. That figure, produced by the joint intelligence committee, has since proved unverifiable, but Cameron’s problem isn’t mathematical. It’s conceptual. There may be fewer than 70,000 fighters; there may be more. The flaw is to rely on the existence and participation of “moderates”.

According to intelligence committee officials “moderate fighters” are those who “renounce terrorism”, which is supposed to mean that they are not members of either of the jihadi groups Jabhat al-Nusra (al-Qaida’s franchise in Syria) or Isis. These are broad criteria.

As a Syrian who lives abroad but still closely follows the dynamics of the civil war in my country of birth, it has became clear to me that for many young men being a fighter has become more of a job than a calling – a career path they feel they have to follow for lack of alternatives. As in any job market, employers will compete for the biggest talent by providing different benefits.

Many rebel fighters simply do not care about the affiliation of the group they are joining – whether it is with al-Qaida, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Turkey, the international coalition, the British government or anyone else. The international geopolitical situation simply isn’t the first thing on a rebel fighters’ mind when considering joining this group or that one.

Most rebel fighters’ main goal is to topple Bashar al-Assad. As a result, they will make a rational decision to join groups that are mainly fighting Assad’s regime, particularly those that equip them with the best weapons to do so. Other fighters may have more immediate livelihood concerns, such as supporting their families. They will be keener on joining groups that are active in relatively stable areas and offer a decent salary, not those involved in heavy clashes on a day to day basis.

Of course there also are ideologically driven fighters – Syrian Islamists, cross-national Islamists, Kurds, or even pro-Assad Alawites – who will join groups that line up closest with their ideological belief system. The point is that it is virtually impossible to bracket these fighters into distinct moderate or non-moderate categories. Fighters join and quit groups depending on the changing status quo. Today’s “moderate fighters” may not be moderate for ever.

Putin reaffirmed this by calling ISIS "mercenaries" that Obama was supporting:

Quote Putin Blasts Obama For Arming And Paying Mercenaries Who Become ISIS Fighters

In a press conference, with American journalists in attendance, Vladimir Putin answered questions and posed alternate questions at the journalists. Putin opened up assertively on his take on the Middle East, which has become a huge thorn in Obama’s side.

Putin challenged Obama and laid the blame for the rise of ISIS right on Obama’s lap. Putin, while addressing the UN stated he would use force to keep his ally Assad in power, using the argument that the whole Middle East has become destabilized by the “Arab Spring” and accused Obama of paying mercenaries and arming them just to see those mercenaries switch sides joining ISIS.
    http://www.truthandaction.org/putin-...isis-fighters/

And before anyone says this is proof of it being "Russian propaganda," our own military intelligence director declassified information showing the exact same thing. He was even more blunt about the purpose of it, too.

Quote US ex-intelligence chief on ISIS rise: It was 'a willful Washington decision'

The US didn’t interfere with the rise of anti-government jihadist groups in Syria that finally degenerated into Islamic State, claims the former head of America’s Defense Intelligence Agency, backing a secret 2012 memo predicting their rise.

An interview with retired Lieutenant General Michael Flynn, former head of the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), given to Al Jazeera’s Mehdi Hasan, confirms earlier suspicions that Washington was monitoring jihadist groups emerging as opposition in Syria.

General Flynn dismissed Al Jazeera’s supposition that the US administration “turned a blind eye” to the DIA’s analysis.

Flynn believes the US government didn’t listen to his agency on purpose.

“I think it was a decision. I think it was a willful decision,” the former DIA chief said.

Quote Exclusive — Lt. Gen. Mike Flynn: Obama, Hillary Ignored Intelligence They Did Not Like About Middle East, Only Wanted ‘Happy Talk’

NEW YORK CITY, New York — Retired Lt. Gen. Mike Flynn, who served for more than two years as the director of President Barack Obama’s Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), leveled explosive charges against the President and his former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in an exclusive hour-long interview with Breitbart News Daily on Friday.

Specifically, during an exclusive interview about his book The Field of Fight, Flynn said that Obama and Clinton were not interested in hearing intelligence that did not fit their “happy talk” narrative about the Middle East. In fact, he alleged the administration actively scrubbed training manuals and purged from the military ranks any thinking about the concept of radical Islamism. Flynn argued that this effort by Obama, Clinton and others to reduce the intelligence community to gathering only facts that the senior administration officials wanted to hear—rather than what they needed to hear—helped the enemy fester and grow, while weakening the United States on the world stage.

“The administration has basically denied the fact that we have this problem with ‘Radical Islamists,’” Flynn said during the interview. “And this is a very vicious, barbaric enemy and I recognize in the book that there is an alliance of countries that are dedicated basically against our way of life and they support different groups in the Islamic movement, principally the Islamic State and formerly Al Qaeda—although Al Qaeda still exists. The administration denied the fact that this even existed and then told those of us in the government to basically excise the phrase ‘radical Islamism’ out of our entire culture, out of our training manuals, everything. That was a big argument I had internally and I talked a little bit about it in the Senate testimony that I gave two years back.”

Quote Here’s why there are no “moderate rebels” in Aleppo or anywhere else in Syria

Given the insistence by militant Jihadists in Syria of imposing their own extremist version of Sharia law, co-existence between them and so-called "moderates" is actually impossible.

On the subject of the Syrian war there has been much deserved mockery of the name change by Jabhat Al-Nusra, Al-Qaeda’s local Syrian branch, to its new name: “Jabhat Fateh al-Sham”. It has been rightly pointed out that this name change, and the organisation’s attempt to distance itself from its Al-Qaeda parent, is a transparent fraud made all the more obvious by the fact that Ayman Al-Zawahiri, Al-Qaeda’s leader, has given it his blessing.

A point hardly anyone makes however is that these name changes and re-labellings of Jihadist groups in Syria go on all the time. Our contributor Afra’a Dagher – a Syrian writer who actually writes for The Duran from Syria – wrote about this phenomenon weeks ago on 17th May 2016, long before Jabhat Al-Nusra announced its latest name change:

“In Syria fighters call themselves the “Free Syrian Army” or “Islamic state fighters” or Daesh or by any other name that suits them. There is nothing “magical” about this. It is just a kaleidoscope of names intended to cause confusion. In reality it is always the same people calling themselves by these different names.

The US and its allies of course know this. They keep up this game of names so that they can go on pretending that there are “moderates” in Syria who they can support in place of the terrorists they actually support, and that these so-called “moderates” are fit to form a transitional government in place of the legitimate Syrian government and can also be persuaded to fight Daesh. In Syria nobody is fooled by any of this.

The truth is that the Syrian people are being slaughtered by cold-blooded mercenaries. They may call themselves the “Free Syrian Army,” “Ahrar Al Sham”, “Ahlo Al Sonna”, “Jaish Al Esalm” or any of a myriad of other names all of which however simply designate factions affiliated with Al-Qaeda’s local franchise the Al Nusra front. They are however always the same cold-blooded mercenaries pouring into Syria from Turkey paid for the Gulf Arab states to commit aggression upon Syria’s people.”

The primary purpose of this constant shifting of names and labels is – as Afra’a Dagher says – to give the impression that there are moderate groups in Syria fighting the Syrian government when in fact there are none.

Quote In Syria, militias armed by the Pentagon fight those armed by the CIA

Syrian militias armed by different parts of the U.S. war machine have begun to fight each other on the plains between the besieged city of Aleppo and the Turkish border, highlighting how little control U.S. intelligence officers and military planners have over the groups they have financed and trained in the bitter five-year-old civil war.

The fighting has intensified over the last two months, as CIA-armed units and Pentagon-armed ones have repeatedly shot at each other while maneuvering through contested territory on the northern outskirts of Aleppo, U.S. officials and rebel leaders have confirmed.

In mid-February, a CIA-armed militia called Fursan al Haq, or Knights of Righteousness, was run out of the town of Marea, about 20 miles north of Aleppo, by Pentagon-backed Syrian Democratic Forces moving in from Kurdish-controlled areas to the east.

“Any faction that attacks us, regardless from where it gets its support, we will fight it,” Maj. Fares Bayoush, a leader of Fursan al Haq, said in an interview.

Rebel fighters described similar clashes in the town of Azaz, a key transit point for fighters and supplies between Aleppo and the Turkish border, and on March 3 in the Aleppo neighborhood of Sheikh Maqsud.

The attacks by one U.S.-backed group against another come amid continued heavy fighting in Syria and illustrate the difficulty facing U.S. efforts to coordinate among dozens of armed groups that are trying to overthrow the government of President Bashar Assad, fight the Islamic State militant group and battle one another all at the same time.

“It is an enormous challenge,” said Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Burbank), the top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, who described the clashes between U.S.-supported groups as “a fairly new phenomenon.”

“It is part of the three-dimensional chess that is the Syrian battlefield,” he said.

The area in northern Syria around Aleppo, the country's second-largest city, features not only a war between the Assad government and its opponents, but also periodic battles against Islamic State militants, who control much of eastern Syria and also some territory to the northwest of the city, and long-standing tensions among the ethnic groups that inhabit the area, Arabs, Kurds and Turkmen.

“This is a complicated, multi-sided war where our options are severely limited,” said a U.S. official, who wasn't authorized to speak publicly on the matter. “We know we need a partner on the ground. We can't defeat ISIL without that part of the equation, so we keep trying to forge those relationships.” ISIL is an acronym for Islamic State.

President Obama this month authorized a new Pentagon plan to train and arm Syrian rebel fighters, relaunching a program that was suspended in the fall after a string of embarrassing setbacks which included recruits being ambushed and handing over much of their U.S.-issued ammunition and trucks to an Al Qaeda affiliate.

Amid the setbacks, the Pentagon late last year deployed about 50 special operations forces to Kurdish-held areas in northeastern Syria to better coordinate with local militias and help ensure U.S.-backed rebel groups aren't fighting one another. But such skirmishes have become routine.

Last year, the Pentagon helped create a new military coalition, the Syrian Democratic Forces. The goal was to arm the group and prepare it to take territory away from the Islamic State in eastern Syria and to provide information for U.S. airstrikes.

    [...]

Gen. Joseph Votel, now commander of U.S. Special Operations Command and the incoming head of Central Command, said this month that about 80% of the fighters in the Syrian Democratic Forces were Kurdish. The U.S. backing for a heavily Kurdish armed force has been a point of tension with the Turkish government, which has a long history of crushing Kurdish rebellions and doesn't want to see Kurdish units control more of its southern border.

The CIA, meanwhile, has its own operations center inside Turkey from which it has been directing aid to rebel groups in Syria, providing them with TOW antitank missiles from Saudi Arabian weapons stockpiles.

While the Pentagon's actions are part of an overt effort by the U.S. and its allies against Islamic State, the CIA's backing of militias is part of a separate covert U.S. effort aimed at keeping pressure on the Assad government in hopes of prodding the Syrian leader to the negotiating table.

Just like not every team should always get a prize in sports, not everyone always has their facts straight either. That's reality. But he could have handled it better than in the way that he did, because insulting me by implying that I'm "demented" is not a mature response. I don't think he deserves praise for that one Sam. If he really had interest in a fact-based discussion he wouldn't have started the exchange with sarcasm and then in his next post insulted me before leaving without ever posting anything of substance.

If you prevented that pipeline from being built, it would increase our dependence on the Middle East. Have you noticed what we've been doing there for decades? That is your answer on why increasing domestic oil production is necessary.

Imagine you are president of the US and you are trying to balance all things at one time. What would you do? Like I said, if you cancel that pipeline, and try to scale back domestic energy production, you are guaranteeing one of two things: further involvement in the Middle East, or a complete economic/industrial collapse, because oil and gas energy is what makes this country move.

And just because we ramp up domestic energy production does not mean we're going to be dumping it all out into our rivers and streams. Just because you saw that kind of lax attitude under past administrations, and just because Trump wants to increase production, doesn't mean Trump will turn a blind eye to that too.

Quote Full Trump America First Energy speech for prosperity given on 26th May, 2016 in Bismark, North Dakota.
    Trump outlines his excellent commonsense and pro-growth Energy Policy, which includes;

    - All of the above energy policy
    - Scrapping Obama's anti-U.S. U.N. Paris Climate Agreement
    - Ending U.S. payments to the U.N. for its climate change policies
    - Stopping Obama's $10 a barrel tax on U.S. oil production
    - Ending Obama's War on Coal and the American worker
    - The reining in of the out of control EPA
    - Scrapping of Obama's mountain of anti-development regulations
    - Rescind of all Obama's un-constitutional executive decrees
    - Immediate approval of the Keystone XL pipeline
    - Ending the Democratic parties constant attacks on fracking
    - Leading the U.S. to quickly achieve total energy independence
    - Dump all Obama's unilateral restrictions on U.S. oil and gas production
    - Take back control over U.S. oil and gas assets from the U.N. and return it to the U.S. people
    - Open up $50 Trillion dollars worth of locked-up U.S. fossil fuel assets
    - Revenues from the massively increased energy production will be used to pay down debt and upgrade U.S. infrastructure
    - Real environmental problems will be funded, like clean water and air
    - Rescind Obama's climate action plan and waters of U.S. rule
    - Lift moratoriums on energy production in federal areas
    - Revoke policies that impose restrictions on new drilling technologies
    - Any existing regulation that is contrary to the national interest or U.S. workers will be scrapped
    - No new regulation will be implemented if it is against the interests of the U.S. worker
    - Conserve natural habitats and reserves
    - Only commonsense environmental regulations will be enforced

    My Thoughts;
In life there are destroyers and there are builders.
The former are common; the latter are very rare.
It's clear that Obama, Hillary and Sanders are destroyers, and Trump is a builder.
Even if you don't think he'll follow through with all of that, at least he gave you his stated position.

And the problem with previous administrations in terms of pollution was that they didn't enforce the regulations on the books. I have a feeling enforcement is going to be taken more seriously under Trump, throughout the administration. If a regulatory rule doesn't make sense, Trump has made it clear that he has no problem gutting that rule.

Marine Le Pen hails patriotism as the policy of the future
    6 hours ago

French National Front (FN) leader Marine Le Pen has told a meeting of right-wing
politicians in Germany that patriotism is the policy of the future.

The presidential candidate predicted that voters in France, Germany and the
Netherlands would follow their US and UK counterparts to reject the arguments of
    the political establishment.

She said that 2017 would be the "year of the awakening" for European people.

Her comments were echoed by the Dutch politician, Geert Wilders.

"Yesterday, a new America. Today... a new Europe!'' Mr Wilders, the leader of the
anti-immigration Freedom Party (PVV), said while opening the meeting under heavy
security in the central German city of Koblenz.

I hope you DON'T stop posting what you know via facts
Opinion only based on my experience at PA the last 6 - 9 months -

This is why I wish for these alternative voices to bring their own fact based dialogue into these discussions. Just on this forum alone, I experienced a great deal of 'side taking' in the last six months or so regarding this last US election. If I weighed the number of points to the "Trump" side (and weighted these points via strength of argument and importance of the points) against the points I found either "for Hillary" or "nothing could be worse than trump" the term landslide truly fits. I mean we are talking a ratio of 90% to 10% and that is still being liberal towards going for Clinton.

Does this mean that Trump won't end up behaving in a way most of us end up suspecting he's a sellout too? Perhaps so, but there was ZERO doubt based on fact laden xxxGate after xxxGate that Hillary was and is a complete NWO tool.

Let's look at just one of the environmental issues first. The issue of "Global Warming" which has now morphed into the modified label "Climate Change."

The issue has assumed a position that the "Science is in and the issue has been settled."

This then begets the question... What has been determined and if there is indeed climate change, what is responsible.

I, as a reasonably intelligent observer who has lived 59 years would agree that indeed, the climate changes. So then my question to myself is, are these changes naturally occurring or are they caused by human activity that extends beyond what we would all reasonably call "natural activity" of humans. And of course, there's the percentage of either which would add up to 100%.

There is then the question of, "if humans are causing an unnatural shift in climate, is that shift dangerous?"

And then there's the question of - what can humans do about it that does not unduly impede upon their life experience so onerously, no one wants to live.

There are quite a few very intelligent, free thinking individuals who are unable to just "buy" the argument that human activity causes a shift in the climate of any significance that puts life on Earth in real danger.

OK, so the above few points are a sample of questions each individual might have and for many are questions where the supposed informed answers come from sources who can be viewed as compromised.

In addition, the human race as far back as we know it has produced a massive amount of power (and wealth) hungry individuals who have displayed a major proclivity towards falsifying anything and everything that increases their power (and wealth) without regard for others and in many cases in a way it seems like they enjoy screwing over the masses. It is well documented that the funding sources for the very "scientists" who proclaim "the science is in" are some of these same type of power (and wealth) hungry individuals who have set up a system of support for the scientific community based on grants and donations. This very system causes an obvious conflict of interest and so why should folks who have been screwed over and over and over by "The Trusted" (schools, NGOs, foundations that provide funding and text books, universities with their 'tenure systems') that they actually begin to smell a rat decide that it is wise to trust the climate change folks that "the science is in?"

Note I did not SAY that climate change does not exist, I did not say that if it does exist, that humans play no role in it or that humans play such an inconsequential role in it that it doesn't matter. What I am saying is I do not know and yet what I do know is that I surely cannot trust the "science is in" scientific community considering their conflict of interest as well as when we consider the studies done by other scientists who do not appear to be held hostage like many (if not most, if not all of that group known as "the 97%") who actually produce quite a different view.

Now let me add more - Al Gore, if I understand what I have researched correctly, was to have a significant financial position in the company that was to be the sole trader of "carbon taxes." Anyone who knows anything about trading knows there's commissions on each and every trade. This translates to profits and this again presents an obvious conflict of interest. Now add on top of that the very well known "carbon production lifestyle" lived by Al Gore and we can then consider applying the word "hypocrite." So how is a critically thinking individual supposed to just accept all this?

Now add one more consideration. Guess what sometimes happens when I go outside? I see a big fireball in the sky known as the Sun. So when I accept the fact we have a sun accompanying our planet then perhaps we should consider that if we are indeed experiencing "climate changes," perhaps the sun might also be going through changes (and doubtfully man would have anything to do with that) and so Hummmmm, I wonder, is it possible the changes we experience on Earth are caused by natural cycles of the Sun? If so, even if humans are causing an unnatural effect upon the climate, what percentages might apply to each?

Now when I experience a media frenzy against anyone who might somehow demonstrate they are not so convinced the issue is "decided" ("the science is in") making up powerful labels such as "climate denier" (well... it worked well with Holocaust deniers), and I consider all the information that has come forth regarding the media and its "bias" and who owns most of the MSM and who they are aligned with financially and politically (even when it is a political issue that elements of all parties back), then I have to question... "what's up with that?"

So I have no doubt that this post I just wrote will cause some of the mind controlled repeaters to label me a "climate denier" but they would be very wrong.

I would be properly characterized as someone who is completely unconvinced as to ANY position regarding dangerous, human made climate change in any direction one might go. For that reason, I do my best to live in a way that respects the environment.

Now for the last point about this one aspect of the environmental argument (climate change). No one can deny the fact that one day we all die (unless someone has found a foolproof method for achieving immortality and if they have, they haven't shared the secret with the masses and I make odds all but 100% they wouldn't). So I have reconciled for myself my physical body will die. So having accepted this I then look at the quality of life I do have and I look no less upon the quality of life my children and their children can look forward to. To do this reveals a very complicated picture. For example, it has been determined (if accurate and if we can trust the sources) that the US produces close to 20% of carbon emissions and China a bit more than that. So this then begs the question, what happens to the quality of life for US folks if incredibly harsh environmental regulations are forced upon them when China doesn't do squat? So then how does the US and the rest of the world make China do the same? They can't and China doesn't care to impose those same draconian measures.

So here we have an issue that may in fact be overblown and may in fact be way overblown all and only for a carbon trading system to be imposed on participants in an agreement where some of the major participants do not and likely will not cooperate anywhere near the other participants who are forced to and/or who agree to curb their carbon emissions at great economic cost. This will most certainly effect my own standard of living, my own life experience, that of my children and that of my childrens children. This isn't speculation, it is common sense fact and this is just one of the reasons Trump was elected. Now maybe he screws it all up, but I have 99% no doubt the alternative would have buried the US in more and more onerous regulations.... regulations that are imposed by folks who might be do so not for our own good, but to gain more and more power over us all. Sdaly, I can only look at history as my guide as to what the power elite do in regards to the rest of humanity.
