It is outrageous that our taxpayer dollars are being used to deliberately inflict trauma on innocent children. The Trump Administration’s vicious, heartless family separation policy must be stopped. Dear Senator Merkeley,

I appreciate your response regarding the separation of children from their families, but the tone of blaming it on the Trump administration sounds like a 'political agenda'. The problem of child trafficking is more of a concern. To my knowledge, although it is not broadcast through the Mockingbird Media, the Trump administration is pro-active in stopping child sex trafficking, and many pedophelia rings have been busted and arrests have been made. Many children have been rescued.

I'm aware of the complicity of Serco, the Senior Executive Services (who work for corporations along with Serco such as Boeing and other defense contractors, and not the interests of the American people), the rogue intelligence agencies, and corporations such as CEMEX, who are being exposed currently for their horrific roles they have been playing in these crimes against children.

The building you were attempting to enter used to be a Walmart. That corporation is also complicit in carrying out crimes against humanity.

I support the Trump administration, for the most part. I do not support the politicians who cover up their own crimes by pointing the finger at others. ****** We will learn more about that when the IG report comes out this week!******

Anything that is done in secret, like children kept locked in secret places where you and others cannot go in to inspect the situation, leads one to believe that something nefarious is occurring. I fully support you revealing the truth about the situation.

Americans are awakening. We don't go for narratives that are pushed, or divide and conquer strategies. I love all Americans. There is no separation between Democrats and Republicans. However, there is a difference in right vs. wrong and my conscience is fully illumined to determine that.

The government run by conscience is the one that I choose. Please do the right thing for these children.

I agree--the programming and propaganda has been so insidious, and even the most intelligent people (seemingly) have been blinded.
I know that has turned a lot of our truth-seeking lives upside down, who have had our eyes opened, and cannot unsee what we have seen.
It's frightening, but I still have faith that this all has to happen before that will be resolved.

I alternately pray for some easy, miraculous solution to all the hatred, distrust and division, and at other times for something incredibly explosive to happen, for the house of cards to collapse suddenly so that all the things that we as a community here know here to be true are revealed at last to the public in a way no one can deny any longer, no matter how shocking or disillusioning it may be, the sooner the better.

I know that detachment is the only way to get through this, and thankfully, I've had years of meditation to help with that.
Sometimes I guess I just need to let even that go, and let myself feel what I'm feeling.

I know what a sham Facebook is, but I am disabled, living alone on a small Social Security check, no family, don't own a car anymore, so I am fairly isolated.
It's why I depend on it somewhat to stay in touch with friends, though I use it primarily for activism, sharing petitions, etc.
It's a good demonstration of how poorly social media works to keep us genuinely in touch with others, when posting one article on my FB page has resulted in 2 so-called friends unfriending me, and a good friend accusing me of ignorance and prejudice!

My reply to one of them was simply "Whatever!" It's come to that, I guess.

Lionel takes 20 minutes to say that it will take a few more episodes to understand the deeper implications of what this merger means. He sees a big positive to this.

From my view, as I've heard that its coming, that much of what will be taking place in future is the nationalizing of the big conglomerates. Conglomerates like the corporate news, etc... Not certain who or where I've heard this from. But, according to Lionel, this is the beginning of big changes that will be coming quite soon - in a good way. Will have to put that in that 'Wait & See' folder until more information about this is flushed out.

I'd say that many apply a different standard to immigrants who are seeking asylum and fleeing for their lives from countries where they can't survive.

Not only can they survive, but their populations are growing. If they can't afford to feed all of their kids then explain to me how that is supposed to be my problem, and my tax money should go to fund welfare for them in my own back yard? If my own next door neighbor had too many kids and couldn't feed them all, I would encourage her to find better homes for them, but I'm not going to hold myself financially responsible for somebody else's kids.

The problem of having a nice, civilized country with responsible people and laws to hold each other to account, is a basic standard that we are all trying to achieve. There is no magic power that gives Americans the ability to take care of everyone else. If they really wanted to benefit from us then they should emulate our system, but we were never designed to operate as a world charity.

And many are nostalgic and think that the US should continue to be a symbol of freedom and succor as it once was before the population explosion became such an issue.

Freedom for US citizens, ie those of us participating in the creation of that government, along with whoever we lawfully allowed into our country to become future citizens. We have no legal or moral obligation to look after the rest of the world's problems.

The Statue of Liberty's legend after all, is : "Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

That poem was a later addition to the statue, and was written by a socialist and an internationalist. The original statue (as it was originally donated by French Freemasons) didn't have that poem.

Not to mention that the fact that a country giving us a statue that later had a socialist poem inscribed on it has no value in a court of law or any impact on the legislation passed in our country. As Stephen Miller once famously asked, exactly how many immigrants should we be required to take from the world based on the "Statue of Liberty Law of the Land"?

Things just aren't that simple anymore

Things were never as you are arguing they should be, ie open border policies. Never in the history of our country or virtually any other modern nation has an open border policy been the norm, nor is such a policy "simple." It has enormous ramifications in a multitude of dimensions upon a society, from economic to financial to political to criminal, that you also outright ignore simply because it's not "politically correct" to talk about those things. That is the real, in-your-face programming if you ask me.

And I still don't understand why people are expecting us to hold immigrants and their children to a higher standard for comfort and care than we afford our own American parents whose children are also seized for even the most minor crimes. And many of those children, incidentally, end up in homes with people who molest them. This is an epidemic that spread during the Obama administration and the numbers on it are only now starting to come out from reports, that I can dig up and post here for anyone interested.

And I'll also throw in for good measure that it was "progressive" policies resulting from the welfare state that allowed the government to intrude so intimately into the family in the first place as to assume the right to take children from parents for minor crimes. No one ever talks about the constitutionality of the federal government seizing anyone's child for anything other than extraordinary reasons. Even the state governments should clearly have precedence over such things, if not the local communities or extended families. But because of the enormous social state apparatus, somehow the government has long assumed the right to take children away from parents for relatively minor offenses, or even fabricated offenses or no offenses at all in some of the many cases of severe corruption.

When it comes to the IDEN of the man sitting next to Obama, in his early college days, there are 2 different posts from anons that I think are interesting.

Most people are naming, or identifying the man as Sohale Siddiqi

Sohale Siddiqi (also Hal Siddiqi) was the best friend and roommate of Barack Obama while he attended Columbia University in the early 1980s. He is identified as "Sadik" in Obama's memoir, Dreams From My Father. Obama describes Saddiqi as "a short, well-built Pakistani" who smoked marijuana and snorted cocaine. Siddiqi was from Karachi, Pakistan and came to America from London on a tourist visa. He overstayed his visa becoming an illegal alien

However, if you look at the PBS interview with Sohale Siddiqi linked below, he doesn't appear to have maintained a close relationship. There's a lot of distance in this man's recall of their friendship.

In this interview Sohale Siddiqi mentions two names, that could be the same person.

Regarding immigration:

All 4 of my grandparents were Hungarian immigrants. Yes they were poor and probably hungry. One grandmother came with a 2 yr old and was 4 months pregnant with my mother.

BUT, they had to come legally, through Ellis Island were they were registered - had to be within the quota of immigrants allowed for Hungary - had to have a family already here sponsor them. They were not given: food stamps, welfare, medical assistance, etc. After here, they had to take mandatory English classes and had to past a test before they were honored with citizenship.

It seems to me Trump has the solution to end our immigration problem.

Plug up the wall,stop the flow, send the new arrivals that do slip through back immediately, which, when word gets out that it's not possible to get through, will stop the constant flow.

Once the flow is stopped, it will be easier to deal with the problem of those illegals born here and their families. But if we change the laws for them before the flow is stopped it will just encourage more illegals to come through.

Trump has also said: Stop interfering in other countries politics. Most of us here are aware that our Deep State has caused many (if not all!) of the wars in other countries, which as resulted in the immigration flow from the Middle East and Libya in to Europe and who knows how many brought here.

As for those who say: we must help those in oppressed countries. Perhaps the best way to help them is to find a way to help them in their own countries. Our country gives millions of dollars in foreign aid to these dictators, which very little of trickles down to their poor and oppressed people. Instead lets find a way to give that money to those countries where it would actually help the poor.

And, let's not forget about the homeless and struggling in our country. Does it seem fair to our own citizens to bring in more struggling immigrants before we have dealt with our own problems?

It has enormous ramifications in a multitude of dimensions upon a society, from economic to financial to political to criminal, that you also outright ignore simply because it's not "politically correct" to talk about those things. That is the real, in-your-face programming if you ask me.

And I still don't understand why people are expecting us to hold immigrants and their children to a higher standard for comfort and care than we afford our own American parents whose children are also seized for even the most minor crimes. And many of those children, incidentally, end up in homes with people who molest them. This is an epidemic that spread during the Obama administration and the numbers on it are only now starting to come out from reports, that I can dig up and post here for anyone interested.

And I'll also throw in for good measure that it was "progressive" policies resulting from the welfare state that allowed the government to intrude so intimately into the family in the first place as to assume the right to take children from parents for minor crimes. No one ever talks about the constitutionality of the federal government seizing anyone's child for anything other than extraordinary reasons. Even the state governments should clearly have precedence over such things, if not the local communities or extended families. But because of the enormous social state apparatus, somehow the government has long assumed the right to take children away from parents for relatively minor offenses, or even fabricated offenses or no offenses at all in some of the many cases of severe corruption.

I am NOT in favor of open borders. My post was an explanation of the rationale of people who ARE in favor of open borders.
I don't share their views.
Please STOP characterizing me as something I am not.
I agree with Trump 100% that if we (the CIA) stop meddling in foreign affairs, the immigration problem probably wouldn't exist.
And I also think that the Wall may be the only way to keep the Mexican border safe, though I didn't come to that decision easily. But the CIA has become so powerful, that curbing them is not going to happen overnight and in the meantime, that border is a catastrophe.
I'm just thankful we don't have the Muslim immigrant problems that Europe is presently suffering from.

I'd say that many apply a different standard to immigrants who are seeking asylum and fleeing for their lives from countries where they can't survive.

Not only can they survive, but their populations are growing. If they can't afford to feed all of their kids then explain to me how that is supposed to be my problem, and my tax money should go to fund welfare for them in my own back yard? If my own next door neighbor had too many kids and couldn't feed them all, I would encourage her to find better homes for them, but I'm not going to hold myself financially responsible for somebody else's kids.

The problem of having a nice, civilized country with responsible people and laws to hold each other to account, is a basic standard that we are all trying to achieve. There is no magic power that gives Americans the ability to take care of everyone else. If they really wanted to benefit from us then they should emulate our system, but we were never designed to operate as a world charity.

And many are nostalgic and think that the US should continue to be a symbol of freedom and succor as it once was before the population explosion became such an issue.

Freedom for US citizens, ie those of us participating in the creation of that government, along with whoever we lawfully allowed into our country to become future citizens. We have no legal or moral obligation to look after the rest of the world's problems.

The Statue of Liberty's legend after all, is : "Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"
