I didn't give the stock sales much credence since for a CEO they are pre-planned with SEC. You sell over the weeks so not to create a panic.

Who's to say that these sales weren't planned, in accordance with SEC regulations?

However, if I had held a $100 Million of Google stock a couple of months ago, I might well have sold $20 Million of it too. The market is getting toppy, so time to take some off the table.

My guesses so far:

• Hillary Clinton was a body double, which explains her lack of visceral reaction.
• What was on the card in the envelope was an image, but more of a symbolic one than an obvious image anyone would recognize.
• I think that it was an image, not words, because of how quickly each of the people seeing it reacted.
• But it was more symbolic than obviously gruesome or compromising, because no one nearby, who might have caught a glimpse, reacted.
• It was more a symbol of George H.W. Bush's betrayal than something directly involving Trump, as both the Biden's and the Bush's looked toward where the casket of George H.W. Bush was, at the time they reacted. (P.S. -- Correction below.)
• George W. Bush ("baby" Bush) was handed the image, by the Secret Service agent right behind him, while the casket was being taken past him, and he then passed it onto his wife Laura (behind the casket, from the camera view, barely visible).
• George W. Bush already knew what the item meant, but was more resigned, less surprised, but still dismayed, at whatever it was.
• There was no reaction from Karen Pence, wife of current Vice President Mike Pence, because she did not notice the envelope stuck in her program.

P.S. Correction from the last image that I included in my previous post, just above, it looks to me that Biden and his wife are looking at Hillary Clinton, who has stood up and turned around as if to interact with them. My sense is that Biden and his wife expect Hillary to understand and sympathize with whatever dreadful message is on that card.

If they were not planned, then there could be an SEC probe as to why they were not.

In the industry its called "estate planning" these sales to diversify out of just one holding GOOG in this case.

I presume they were planned, and they were spread out over a couple of weeks, in order not to crater the stock price.

I agree that good "estate planning" would diversify one's holdings.

Whether or not this particular sale of $18 M of his approx $100 M holdings was done in expectation of these Chinese developments ... that's above my pay grade to know.

That's been my take too, and for similar reasons ... that the Bush's get to keep their winnings.

However the looks on Laura, "W", and Jeb Bush's faces, and on Jill and Joe Biden's faces ... suggest to me that both those Bush's and those Biden's learned something during that funeral on 5 Dec 2018 that was most distressing to them.

Wild guess: the Bush's might get to "save face", but will lose some "gold".

Less wild guess: many machinations and complications behind the scene will continue.

Certain, in any case: some lawyers will have large incomes to report, for 2017 and 2018 tax years.

Here's the result of an image search for the word "idiot" on Google image search:



Seven of the nine first images displayed are obviously of U.S. President Donald Trump.

One of them is an image of Trump's two sons, Eric and Donald, Jr.

The other is an image from the Wikipedia page for "idiot" ... and even that page uses Trump as an example. This Wikipedia page explains one of the origins of the word "idiot" with the explanation:

Many political commentators have interpreted the word "idiot" as reflecting the Ancient Greeks' attitudes to civic participation and private life, combining the ancient meaning of 'private citizen' with the modern meaning 'fool' to conclude that the Greeks used the word to say that it is selfish and foolish not to participate in public life.

... and Wikipedia offers this reference for that statement:

What I think I might be seeing is the whites drawing the black's cards out, until they're all out of cards. That HW Bush funeral was a biggy they blew away on a trick date.


I could get all upset and disappointed, but I'll detach my emotions and wait. I'll wait until Trump is completely out of the presidency. I know I'm not the one that counts in all this. The stakes could not be higher, and the blacks are the ones I hope are scratching their heads and making the biggest mistakes.


As ever, we'll see. It took a very long time to get into this mess. I can give it time. I'm sure as hell happy Clintons are not answering the Whitehouse phones.
