Coronavirus: 'There’s no credible publication after this summer that claims lockdowns are effective'


Biochemical engineer Ivor Cummins has argued that lockdowns do not work in managing pandemics such as coronavirus.

Speaking with talkRADIO’s Julia Hartley-Brewer, the lockdown sceptic said: “There’s essentially no substantial connection between lockdowns and outcomes of ICU and mortality…I don’t know why the government isn’t reading the five or six published papers that have actually done the analysis.”

Herd immunity call backed by British academics

People who are less vulnerable to the effects of Covid-19 should be allowed to return to normal life, a group of British experts has said.

A new declaration, which is earning thousands of signatures from medical professionals, academics and the general public, calls for a herd immunity approach to tackling the Covid-19 pandemic while protecting the most vulnerable populations.

Academics from the universities of Oxford, Nottingham, Edinburgh, Exeter, Cambridge, Sussex, York, St George’s University of London, Strathclyde, Leicester, Queen Mary University of London and the University of East Anglia are among experts from around the world who have signed the declaration.

It comes after recent remarks from the leader of the NHS in England, Sir Simon Stevens, who said that asking all over-65s to shield to slow the transmission of the second wave of coronavirus would be “age-based apartheid”.

And another expert said the declaration ignores the growing evidence on long Covid – whereby thousands of fit and young people who contract the virus have been left with debilitating symptoms months after a mild infection.

Professor Jeremy Rossman pointed out that research suggests that protective antibody responses may “decay rapidly” and that there have been cases of re-infection of the virus.

Meanwhile Sweden, which adopted a herd immunity approach, was “not able to successfully protect the vulnerable population”, he added.

The so-called Great Barrington declaration states: “As infectious disease epidemiologists and public health scientists we have grave concerns about the damaging physical and mental health impacts of the prevailing Covid-19 policies, and recommend an approach we call Focused Protection.

“Current lockdown policies are producing devastating effects on short and long-term public health. The results (to name a few) include lower childhood vaccination rates, worsening cardiovascular disease outcomes, fewer cancer screenings and deteriorating mental health – leading to greater excess mortality in years to come, with the working class and younger members of society carrying the heaviest burden. Keeping students out of school is a grave injustice.

“Keeping these measures in place until a vaccine is available will cause irreparable damage, with the underprivileged disproportionately harmed.

“We know that vulnerability to death from Covid-19 is more than a thousand-fold higher in the old and infirm than the young. Indeed, for children, Covid-19 is less dangerous than many other harms, including influenza.

“As immunity builds in the population, the risk of infection to all – including the vulnerable – falls. We know that all populations will eventually reach herd immunity – i.e. the point at which the rate of new infections is stable – and that this can be assisted by (but is not dependent upon) a vaccine. Our goal should therefore be to minimise mortality and social harm until we reach herd immunity.

“The most compassionate approach that balances the risks and benefits of reaching herd immunity, is to allow those who are at minimal risk of death to live their lives normally to build up immunity to the virus through natural infection, while better protecting those who are at highest risk. We call this Focused Protection.”

It adds: “Those who are not vulnerable should immediately be allowed to resume life as normal. Simple hygiene measures, such as hand washing and staying home when sick should be practised by everyone to reduce the herd immunity threshold. Schools and universities should be open for in-person teaching. Extracurricular activities, such as sports, should be resumed. Young low-risk adults should work normally, rather than from home. Restaurants and other businesses should open.

“Arts, music, sport and other cultural activities should resume. People who are more at risk may participate if they wish, while society as a whole enjoys the protection conferred upon the vulnerable by those who have built up herd immunity.”

Commenting on the declaration, Prof Rossman, honorary senior lecturer in virology at the University of Kent, said: “Unfortunately, this declaration ignores three critical aspects that could result in significant impacts to health and lives.

“First, we still do not know if herd immunity is possible to achieve. Herd immunity relies on lasting immunological protection from coronavirus re-infection; however, we have heard many recent cases of re-infection occurring and some research suggests protective antibody responses may decay rapidly.

“Second, the declaration focuses only on the risk of death from Covid-19 but ignores the growing awareness of long Covid, that many healthy young adults with mild infections are experiencing protracted symptoms and long-term disability.

“Third, countries that have forgone lockdown restrictions in favour of personal responsibility and focused protection of the elderly, such as Sweden, were not able to successfully protect the vulnerable population.”

Prof James Naismith, director of the Rosalind Franklin Institute, and of the University of Oxford, said: “The main signatories include many accomplished scientists and I read it with interest. I will not be signing it however.

“The declaration risks the same error we have seen with the UK’s track trace and isolate scheme – one can promise a scheme that is very easy to describe but is hard to deliver.”

He added that the declaration omits some “critical scientific information”.

Professor Jay Bhattacharya from Stanford University has joined 6,000 other health experts in signing the Great Barrington Declaration, a global anti-lockdown movement.

Bhattacharya says the lockdown is more harmful than Covid: "Young people face very little risk from the infection... they face much greater risk from the lockdown... in the US, one in four young adults seriously considered suicide in June".

"Tracking cases is not the right method. The right method is how well we are protecting the vulnerable... the rise in cases tells us nothing".

Bhattacharya says the lockdown has done more harm than good: "This is probably the biggest public health mistake I have seen in my career".

On 11 March 2020 the World Health Organisation (WHO) declared Covid19 a pandemic. International public health is their mandate, after all. The problem is that, after admitting that “Pandemic is not a word to use lightly or carelessly”, the Director-General Tedros Ghebreyesus went on to say that “We have never before seen a pandemic sparked by a And we have never before seen a pandemic that can be controlled, at the same time.”

These words are not only inexplicably careless and fraudulent, but constitute the clearest proof that on 11 March 2020 the WHO flouted its own wisdom and may have scammed the whole world into a pandemic...

UPDATE: On 27 July 2020 WHO described Covid-19 as "a global health emergency." Notice that this is a subtle shift in language, from pandemic to "health emergency". The definition of a "global health emergency" is ambiguous, and does not necessarily indicate a pandemic, although it could imply it.

From seeming to be quite CERTAIN, they are now using deliberately ambiguous language. There is nothing in the notion of a "health emergency" that is NEW, and yet Covid-19 has been punted as NEW, thus justifying the unprecedented measures, such as the setting aside of democracy and human rights.

The Smoking Gun: Where is the coronavirus? The CDC says it isn’t available.

The CDC document is titled, “CDC 2019-Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) Real-Time RT-PCR Diagnostic Panel.” It is dated July 13, 2020.

Buried deep in the document, on page 39, in a section titled, “Performance Characteristics,” we have this: “Since no quantified virus isolates of the 2019-nCoV are currently available, assays [diagnostic tests] designed for detection of the 2019-nCoV RNA were tested with characterized stocks of in vitro transcribed full length RNA…”

The key phrase there is: “Since no quantified virus isolates of the 2019-nCoV are currently available…”

Every object that exists can be quantified, which is to say, measured. The use of the term “quantified” in that phrase means: the CDC has no measurable amount of the virus, because it is unavailable. THE CDC HAS NO VIRUS.

A further tip-off is the use of the word ‘isolates.” This means NO ISOLATED VIRUS IS AVAILABLE.

Another way to put it: NO ONE HAS AN ISOLATED SPECIMEN OF THE COVID-19 VIRUS.

NO ONE HAS ISOLATED THE COVID-19 VIRUS.

THEREFORE, NO ONE HAS PROVED THAT IT EXISTS.

As if this were not enough of a revelation to shock the world, the CDC goes on to say they are presenting a diagnostic PCR test to detect the virus-that-hasn’t-been-isolated…and the test is looking for RNA which is PRESUMED to come from the virus that hasn’t been proved to exist.

And using this test, the CDC and every other public health agency in the world are counting COVID cases and deaths…and governments have instituted lockdowns and economic devastation using those case and death numbers as justification.

If people believe “you have the virus but it is not available,” and you have the virus except it is buried within other material and hasn’t been extracted and purified and isolated, these people believe the moon is made of green cheese.

This is like saying. “We have the 20 trillion dollars, they are contained somewhere in our myriad accounts, we just don’t know where.” If you don’t know where, you don’t know you have the money.

“The car keys are somewhere in the house. We just don’t where.” Really? If you don’t know where, you don’t know the keys are in the house.

“The missing cruise missile is somewhere in the arsenal, we just don’t where.” No. If you don’t know where, you don’t know the missile is in the arsenal.

“The COVID-19 virus is somewhere in the material we have—we just haven’t removed it from that material. But we know what it is and we’ve identified it and we know its structure.” NO YOU DON’T. YOU ASSUME THAT.

Science is not assumptions.

“But…but…there is a study which says a few researchers in a lab isolated the virus…”

They say they did. But in July, the CDC is saying no virus is available. I guess that means trucks were not available to bring the virus from that lab to the CDC. The trucks were out of gas. It was raining. The bridge was washed out. The trucks were in the shop. Joe, the driver, couldn’t find his mask, and he didn’t want to leave home without it…

Science is not assumptions.

The pandemic is a fraud, down to the root of the poisonous tree.

Last week the Michigan Supreme Court struck down Governor Whitmer’s “legal” basis for practicing tyranny on the citizens of Michigan in the name of a “pandemic.”

Justice Stephen J. Markman, on behalf of the majority in a 4-3 majority that fell along party lines, wrote:

“We conclude that the Governor lacked the authority to declare a ‘state of emergency’ or a ‘state of disaster’ under the EMA after April 30, 2020, on the basis of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Furthermore, we conclude that the EPGA is in violation of the Constitution of our state because it purports to delegate to the executive branch the legislative powers of state government– including its plenary police powers– and to allow the exercise of such powers indefinitely.

As a consequence, the EPGA cannot continue to provide a basis for the Governor to exercise emergency powers.”

Whitmer had extended the “emergency orders” which had been in place since April, until near the end of October, and probably had every intention of extending them indefinitely.



Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel.

A few days later, Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel announced that she would no longer enforce the Governor’s edicts.

And while Nessel stated that her decision, as the highest law enforcement official in the State of Michigan, was not binding on other law enforcement agencies, several sheriffs throughout Michigan had already stated they would not enforce her edicts.

And The Detroit News reported that the Michigan Chiefs of Police Association was going to follow the Attorney General’s lead.

“If the attorney general says it’s over, then it’s over,” said Bob Stevenson, executive director of the association. (Source.)

But Governor Whitmer has decided she is still in charge and apparently above the law, as yesterday she issued new mask mandates and other mandates on public gatherings in a desperate attempt to remain in control of the public as their Tyrant in Chief.

Democratic Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer is moving forward with new health mandates despite a state Supreme Court ruling last week that struck down her extended emergency powers.

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) issued new orders on Monday to keep in place mask requirements, limits on public gatherings, and other health codes put in place by the governor’s administration during the coronavirus pandemic.

The fresh mandates come days after the Michigan Supreme Court ruled that Whitmer lacked the authority to continue to enforce emergency health codes for the pandemic. (Source.)

So the only thing now forcing people to obey the edicts of Whitmer, is the will of the people themselves.
