Prof Tim Spector: lockdown 2 was not necessary

One of the most interesting sources of data for the progress of the Covid-19 pandemic has been the ZOE app — downloaded by over 4.3 million people, who input symptoms and test results every day.

Its founder is Professor Tim Spector, an epidemiologist from KCL, and the app is now funded by the Government and Number Ten receives daily data from it. He received an OBE for services to fighting the pandemic earlier this year.

The ZOE app made headlines recently for demonstrating quite conclusively that the number of daily infections was already levelling off and even coming down in some areas of England at the end of October, prior to the second national lockdown. It painted a very different picture from the apocalyptic scenarios described in the Prime Minister’s briefing.

Professor Spector was refreshingly outspoken when I interviewed him yesterday. He said:
- Had the Government followed data from the ZOE app they would not have -gone into a second lockdown, which he believes was unnecessary
- The Government is tilted too much in the direction of caution and has lost a balanced sense of proportion
- He is worried that they will use the new vaccine news as a “carrot” to keep us locked down for the next three months, when he believes it will likely take most of the year to get enough people vaccinated
- He understands people’s concerns about such a new vaccine, and ZOE will be tracking any side effects from vaccinated people via its app

SpaceX and Tesla founder Elon Musk has said that neither he nor his family will likely take future coronavirus vaccines even when they are readily available, saying the pandemic has “diminished [his] faith in humanity.”

Speaking during a podcast interview with Kara Swisher, 49-year-old Musk stated that neither he nor his children are at risk for Covid-19 and therefore would be unlikely to need the vaccine.

“This is a no-win situation. It has diminished my faith in humanity, this whole thing… The irrationality of people in general,” Musk said.

He also decried lockdowns across the globe and in the US in particular, having previously referred to them as “unethical” and “de facto house arrest.”

Musk said widespread lockdowns were a mistake and only at-risk people should quarantine “until the storm passes.”
When pressed about the risk to his own employees and their families, with Swisher asking what if someone dies, Musk pithily responded: “Everybody dies.”

“We’ve been making cars this entire time and it’s been great,” he said of Tesla keeping its factory doors open in defiance of lockdown rules, which at one point prompted an irate response from Musk and even a lawsuit against Alameda County. He added that SpaceX has been fully operational throughout the pandemic thanks to its national security clearance.

“Through this entire thing, we didn’t skip a day. We had national security clearance because we were doing national security work. We sent astronauts to the space station and back.”

Musk also took aim at Bill Gates, highlighting that his fellow billionaire’s criticisms of lockdown skeptics are unfounded and misplaced in Musk’s case.

“Gates said something about me not knowing what I was doing. It’s like, hey, knucklehead, we actually make the vaccine machines for CureVac, that company you’re invested in,” Musk explained, referring to the fact that Tesla manufacturers machines for CureVac. The entrepreneur also noted that he works closely with the Harvard epidemiology team which is currently working on Covid-19 antibody studies.

I wanted to reply to this post only because it has a picture of Dr. Tam who I am quoting. (She is on the left.)

For those of you who do not know, her title is "Chief Public Health Officer of Canada".

A friend sent a picture he just took of her speaking on the television. The banner across the bottom of the picture said, "Canadians should practice holding their breath for extended periods of time."

I guess that is the next step of the mask narrative, to up the fear? Also, they have said that we now need 3 layers of cloth over our face. I suppose if that does not make it hard enough to breath what should we tell the public next? Uhm, ok Canadians - stop breathing please. (I added the please because we are so polite.)

I quickly searched on google to see if I could find a video of the news feed itself. I searched... "Dr tam says Canadians should practice holding their breath for extended periods of time" and the first in the list of results was "101 Rules of True Satanism - Google Groups"

Anyone who expresses any doubts about anything these days is rapidly smeared as a ‘denier’ of things he does not deny, or as a crank, for continuing to cling to common sense. A favourite term of abuse is ‘anti-vaxxer’. Well, I am absolutely not one of those. I was inoculated against optimism at an early age, and it has served me well all my life. I thoroughly recommend you, too, get yourself immunised against this dangerous scourge.

If Watergate happened today, Nixon would get away with it. If WMD were alleged today, you'd never know they didn't exist.

Can I add some points while we are still free to discuss vaccines.
(As I said earlier, time is short).
1 Ask yourself why the drive to vaccinate the entire world for a virus with a death rate lower than the flu and with an average fatality age of 82 (most of whom have serious underlying health problems). Even those over the age of 80 have a 94% survival rate from the virus).
2 Ask yourself if vaccines are always ‘safe’, as the Government will insist, why have they paid out millions in compensation over the years.
3 Ask why if they are safe you can google ‘vaccine damage payment’ and be taken directly to a UK Government site informing that you can claim compensation up to £120,000.
4 Ask why if vaccines are always safe the big pharmaceutical companies have been given a waiver against being liable for any covid vaccine damage claim.
5 Ask yourself if you are completely at ease at taking an untried form of vaccination for covid, with no legal comeback, especially when it has been put together in less than a year against the usual 10-20 years it usually takes for new vaccines - and that normal checks and regulations are to be relaxed.
6 Ask yourself if you are comfortable with the growing clamour for mandatory vaccinations and other controls such as health passports, thereby removing your freedom to decide your own health measures. And that the state alone will dictate what is ‘good for you’, not just with covid but everything else they deem fit to for evermore.
7 Ask yourself if a vaccine is so safe and effective at protecting those sufficiently alarmed by the scare stories why the need to pressurise the rest of us into receiving it.
8 Finally, ask yourself if everything, or even half of what, you have been told in 2020 by the Government and media makes sense in the light of what you have witnessed happen around you. Where are the people falling like flies, like we were led to believe would happen back in March?
This is the real battle for which the past eight months have simply been the warm-up act.
The sooner it is resisted, and loudly, the greater the chance of winning.

Those inhumane responses to folk dying are typical of the hard-line ‘get-rid’ attitude of this globalist government.
I never thought, neither did my folks (who fought for our freedoms) that communism would be sneaked/snuck in by the back door, the ‘woke righteous’ (who are ‘peter-pipered’ to shoot themselves in the foot), to insidiously remove our democracy and fetter us into another form of slavery.
So disappointed in any form of democracy, national or local, is viable now, but we must get proper tallying measures, tamper-proof. And, retrospective analysis of previous elections to ensure no tampering. Lessons learned.

The COVID pandemic has really given me great insight into the use of power. It makes no difference whatsoever if the governments are local, state, federal or world. Once people have a taste of power they do not want to give it up and they will take more power under almost any circumstance. Under normal conditions, most of the action that these people are taking would be illegal but they are getting away with it by saying that their directives are necessary for public health reasons.

It also reinforces my belief in the American Constitution. It is the only document in the world that actually limits government power. If you hear politicians denigrating the American Constitution it is because they do not want a document that takes their power away they would rather have a document that gives them unfettered power.
