Biden election: Mike Pence 'welcomes' senators' bid to derail result

US Vice-President Mike Pence has welcomed an effort by a group of senators to refuse to certify Joe Biden's presidential election win.
The 11 Republican senators and senators-elect, led by Ted Cruz, want a 10-day delay to audit unsubstantiated allegations of election fraud.
The move is certain to fail as most senators are expected to endorse Mr Biden in the 6 January vote.
Mr Biden, a Democrat, is due to be inaugurated as president on 20 January.
President Donald Trump has refused to concede the 3 November election, repeatedly alleging fraud without providing any evidence.
Mr Pence has stopped short of echoing allegations of election fraud. But on Saturday, his chief of staff Marc Short said Mr Pence shared what he called "the concerns of millions of Americans about voter fraud and irregularities".
Mr Pence "welcomes the efforts of members of the House and Senate to use the authority they have under the law to raise objections and bring forward evidence before the Congress and the American people", Mr Short said.
As president of the Senate, Mr Pence will have the responsibility of overseeing the session on 6 January and declaring Mr Biden the winner.

All 50 states have certified the election result, some after recounts and legal appeals.
So far, US courts have rejected 60 challenges to Mr Biden's win. Mr Trump has notched up only one minor victory, concerning a small number of postal ballots in Pennsylvania, a state won by Mr Biden.
What do Trump allies want?
In a statement, the 11 senators led by Texas Senator Ted Cruz said November's election had "featured unprecedented allegations of voter fraud, violations and lax enforcement of election law, and other voting irregularities".
An investigation by the federal Department of Justice (DOJ) found no evidence to back any claims of fraud.
Citing a precedent from 1877 - when a bi-partisan committee was formed to investigate after both parties claimed victory in three states - they urged Congress to appoint a commission for an "emergency 10-day audit of election returns in the disputed states".

(Natural News) Today’s Situation Update for January 2nd covers the “big reveal” that President Trump has announced for January 6th. On this day, Trump’s team will present information to Congress before they vote on the contested slates of electors from the swing states where massive election fraud occurred.

What will this “big reveal” consist of? We know it’s something that has never been presented previously in a court case, nor to the public. The possibilities are endless: Jeffrey Epstein bombshells? Declassified intelligence on China’s financial payments to the Biden crime family? Smoking gun proof that Dominion machines rigged the election? There are even rumors that two intelligence agencies for other nations have proof of election fraud and are handing it over to Trump.

Whatever gets presented, Trump believes it will change the outcome of the vote on January 6th. That means it would have to be truly historic, because Democrats aren’t going to vote for Trump in a contested election unless they are absolutely forced to.

We’ve even speculated that some members of Congress might resign on the spot after seeing this evidence. Others might face arrest for their complicity in the crimes that have been committed against America.

The media narrative is patently absurd. Trump is suing Raffensperger; the phone call was an attempted negotiation to settle out of court (or otherwise). Both Trump's lawyer and Raffensperger's lawyer were on the phone call. To imply Trump is asking something nefarious during a recorded legal meeting is nothing short of ridiculous.

To summarize:

Raffensperger is in a very hard spot irrespective of the MSM narrative. He has certified a blatantly fraudulent election. Moreover, the evidence strongly suggests criminal activity on his part, possibly sedition and treason. If I were him I would be shaking in my boots...

Trump, who is just looking to make a deal, apparently doesn't want to see Raffensperger prosecuted or subject to a firing squad, so long as he does the right thing (BTW, this is just how Trump operates for those who haven’t figured that out yet). As an aside, I don't approve; all who have committed these crimes need to be held accountable. No deals. Especially since team China has doubled-down by leaking this spin.

In the context of the entire conversation, however, (and we are still only hearing the abridged version that edits out the larger context) Trump clearly implies a way out for Raffensperger by pointing out there is only an 11,000 vote deficit (among the hundreds of thousands of fraudulent and illegal votes the Secretary illegally certified and subsequently proceeded to cover up the crime for), so in other words, the SoS could easily discover 11k illegal votes among the lot and maintain plausible deniability of guilt, provided he does the right thing before this all gets aired out in court. This would show good faith he is not engaged in criminal activity.

This is merely a settlement proposal. Again, I don't approve. But the bottom line is Trump is offering Raffensperger a commuted sentence of incompetence over treason.

Trump Sues Georgia Secretary Of State Raffensperger Over Leaked Phone Call

President Trump has filed two lawsuits against Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger over a leaked phone call obtained and published by the Washington Post on Sunday, in which Trump badgered the Georgia official over election fraud.

President @realDonaldTrump has filed two lawsuits - federal and state - against @GaSecofState," tweeted Georgia Republican Party Chairman David Shafer.


At one point in the call, which took place just days before the state's January 5 Senate runoffs, Trump reportedly tells Raffensperger "All I want to do is this. I just want to find 11,780 votes, which is one more than we have. Because we won the state," referring to Biden's win by 11,779 votes.

We're guessing, but who knows, Trump was suggesting that in a state plagued with widespread accusations of voter fraud, including claims that batches of 100% Biden ballots were processed while Trump ballots were tossed or destroyed, that Raffensperger could simply 'find' enough uncounted Trump ballots to overcome the fraud.

Shafer then accused the Post of misrepresenting the phone call by "heavily editing" it to omit a portion where it was allegedly made clear the discussion was for the purposes of settling litigation, and therefore confidential under federal and state law, to which The Post's Amy Gardner replied, "This is false. We published the entirety of the call, from start to finish."


On Sunday morning, Trump confirmed that he and Raffensperger had spoken, tweeting "He was unwilling, or unable, to answer questions such as the “ballots under table” scam, ballot destruction, out of state “voters”, dead voters, and more. He has no clue!"


Raffensperger responded, tweeting "Respectfully, President Trump: What you’re saying is not true. The truth will come out."

In an interview with Fox News on Sunday, Raffensperger confirmed that the phone call took place on Saturday, and added that he told the president that he would have to turn to other states to find enough voter irregularities to overturn the 2020 presidential race, because there was not enough in the state of Georgia to do so.

Trump campaign senior adviser Jason Miller, on Sunday, tweeted that the "full recording will show that @GaSecofState is still a hack, @realDonaldTrump is spot-on in his criticisms of the terrible job Raffensperger did, all of the officials running Georgia’s elections are trash, and @POTUS won the state. #MAGA"

There is very little wrong with the fundamental legal system in the US. What is very wrong is the people operating the system and in particular the people who set policy and who have usurped power to manipulate the system. To repair the system, we must rid the system of the criminal and incompetent operators, and get back to the fundamentals and actually apply the system honestly and fairly.

The swamp is not just in DC. But you don’t throw the baby out with the bath water.
