    I've the same issue here with being blocked, with the exact same message Masha. I know other Europe based moderators appear to be experiencing the same.

    I believe the issue may be a Europe wide blockade of Sputnik via any platform. I was having issues with accessing http://kremlin.ru/ although the problem there was I think a work-based bandwidth issue. That said, just now, it loaded but only the Russian language version.
    I later tried with other vpn and proxy sites, i managed to get it to display a few times but only randomly, the censorship is beyond what i had previously experienced, this is crazy, totally crazy

    If someone told me this happened i would probably not believe it as such, but here we are

    "Free press and what not, freedom and democracy, the will of the people and such and such".... something about human rights also

    The indicated terms of the deal are fifteen hostages per ton of food...
    (..)

    What do you make of that equation?

    (...)
    What you hinted at.

    It means what it says: 66.6 kilograms of food corresponding to the average weight of a human being: “unless you give us the hostages’ weight in food, we’ll start eating them”.

    Once the 66.6 kilograms of “normal” food or human flesh have been eaten, they will start eating each other. First the wounded.

    It takes a strange twist of mind to want to become a soldier in order to kill other soldiers instead of banding together when natural catastrophes occur and rescuers’ bravery is needed.
    "The wounded and the dead"

    And they for sure would, just few days ago that video from the ukronazi eating meat he found on a burning tank, thinking it was a piece of a russian soldier, he posted it online and bragged about it. Then people realized he was actually eating an ukrainian soldier remains, and then ukronazis started defending him online saying it did not matter and that maybe that should be normalized, because even at death the ukronazi would help by allowing the alive soldier to keep going, and to look at it as a final heroic sacrifice to help their country and so and so on

    Yes, that happened lol. That's the actual logic and feeling

    Default Re: WW3? Ukraine/US vs. Donbass/Russia

    Another SitRep from The Saker's blog, dated yesterday:

    http://thesaker.is/sitrep-russia-is-...-other-canards

    "Russia is too slow", and other canards
    ('canard' = an unfounded rumor or story)

    Looking back at the bigger picture, i.e., Russia is too slow, and other canards:

    February 21 president of Russia Vladimir Putin signed a decree to recognize the independence of the DPR and LPR and promised to support the republics. On February 24, President Putin announced a special military operation in Ukraine in response to the appeal of the leaders of the republics of Donbass with a request for help.

    The President stressed that Moscow’s plans do not include the occupation of Ukrainian territories. Since that time, an operation has been underway on the territory of Ukraine to denazify the country and liberate the civilian population from the Kiev regime.

    So that is a refresher on what the focus and objectives are of Russia’s SMO. Keep this in mind in your commenting.

    “Reach Out and Touch Someone”

    Highly recommended by Andrei Martynov, Larry Johnson tells us exactly what this means:
    A common theme marshaled to “prove” that Russia is failing in its war with Ukraine is that Russia failed to quickly take Kiev and, in fact, was forced to retreat from Kiev. In addition, the military analysts that populate the cable news channels in the United States insist that the Russians are bogged down and not making the rapid progress they (the Russians) expected.
    This is nonsense. I defy anyone to show me one statement by Putin or the Russian General Staff where a specific timeline was established or identified. This is a construct of western military analysts who do not have access to Russia’s military plan and are projecting their own wishful thinking as “evidence” of a flailing Russian military.
    Russia is not sitting on its haunches licking its wounds. Rather than send troops against fortified positions, Russia continues to hit targets throughout Ukraine with precision missiles. Here is the activity reported on May 4:
    • Russia attacked railway substation in Pyatihatki with a high-precision missile;
    • Russia attacked railway substation in Tymkove with a high-precision missile;
    • Russia attacked railway substation in Volovets with a high-precision missile;
    • Russia attacked railway substation in Lviv with a high-precision missile;
    • Russia attacked railway substation in Pidbirtsi with a high-precision missile;
    • Russia attacked military assets of the AFU near Protopopovka with a high-precision missile;
    • Russia attacked military assets of the AFU near Novaya Dmitrovka with a high-precision missile
    • Russia attacked military assets of the AFU near Sandjeika with a high-precision missile;
    • Russia attacked military assets of the AFU near Krysino with a high-precision missile;
    • Russia attacked military assets of the AFU near Volnyansk with a high-precision missile;
    • Russia attacked military assets of the AFU near Novoalexandrovka with a high-precision missile.
    Larry goes further with a video of a bombardment of Mykolaev aka Nikolaev explaining the “reach out and touch someone” strategy and explaining that if you think that enduring this kind of shelling is inconsequential, then you have no appreciation of the limits of human endurance to such a sustained barrage.

    Russia is reaching out and touching someone with each of their actions!

    Read the whole thing and seriously revise the canard of ‘Russia is moving too slow’. Take a note of The Ukrainian supply lines (just about non-existent), the economy, and the nature of the Russian ground strategy. He says:
    https://sonar21.com/the-russian-time...in-the-ukraine
    “… I am offering an alternative explanation for Russia’s ground strategy. They are under no deadline. They are not going to send their military units into head-on assaults and risk unnecessary casualties.
    And they are going to bomb Ukrainian units relentlessly until they surrender or are destroyed. Time is on Putin’s side.
    Russia is raining a curtain of steel:

    Then we will look at another westerner commenting on the Russian strategy. Brian Berletic is an ex-marine and he has published for many years from the east. He explains what Russia is doing now on the ground by saying they are raining a curtain of steel.

    A summary:

    The US and its allies spent 8 years building up the military the Ukraine had at the beginning of Russian military operations in February 2022. This Ukrainin military failed to prevent Russian forces now from shaping the battlefield in Donbas creating the conditions for Ukrainian forces there to be cut off, encircled, and systematically destroyed.

    After 8 years – this was the best the US and its allies could do to prepare Ukraine. Despite the urgent (reported) flood of weapons and money into Ukraine now along with remedial training programs – nothing now can be done better or quicker than over the past 8 years – Russia is removing Ukrainian combat capabilities off the battlefield faster than the Ukraine and its allies can replace or regenerate it.

    https://odysee.com/$/embed/russia-ma...4f86d223c5960b

    For detail of the past 24 hours, fierce fighting is still taking place.

    Take a look at the Readovka report:
    https://readovka.news/news/96041

    Yandex will give you the best translation.

    There is much FUD being spread about the Red Babushka. Please be very careful what you read and watch, as the last video is a propaganda of the Ukies. We wait!

    Ukrainian fighting forces are fierce but they have some help:

    One of the fighters of the nationalist battalion who laid down arms told about combat drugs used by Ukrainian fighters to suppress fear and lower the threshold for pain. These drugs were supplied to them by volunteers.

    💬 “…I can tell you about some medication called Ephedrine, supplied by volunteers to our unit. We used this drug just before the fight, after that we lost the feeling of fear, we could calmly go into battle, being afraid of absolutely nothing…”
    https://t.me/mod_russia_en/1356

    Another canard needs some debunking. RT (bless their socks!) had a headline that Putin apologized for Mr.Lavrov’s comments on Jewishness. And this is being passed around (by our own FUD delivering colleagues) as how bad Mr. Putin is. Well, here is the readout. Confirm for yourselves, there is no apology there.
    http://en.kremlin.ru/events/president/news/68356

    And it would be a good thing to question all the various announcements and pronouncements on new weapons being supplied to the Ukraine. Frequently the announcement and the presser are done to the applause of the collective west, but the weapons never make it. Ukraine is not getting the 40-year old Gepard tanks as it was promised. Reason, no ammo. Switzerland makes ammo for these, but they cannot supply to conflict zones. (Or perhaps, they have none?).

    Not sure if already mentioned, but there is a massive arms dump just over the border from Ukraine in Cobasna. 20 kilo tonnes of ammunition. It’s in the transnistria break away territory, so currently in Russian hands. Western planners would definitely have taken this into account when they gamed this war out

    These are just a few user comments from The Saker, which again pluck on the religious dispute which underlies the fact that the "medical mafia" owes to Catholicism, and so does an old crusade against Orthodoxy:

    In Western Europe, it used to be the Church that provided free health care, free education, and stuff like that. The Protestant Revolution and the privatization of Church property is now recognized as a gang of oligarchs stealing the patrimony of the poor.

    True! Protestantism is very light on charity or good works because, in the end it only depends on “your personal relationship with God”. Pharisaism by another name. The worst version on the Protestantism spectrum? Evangelical Christian Zionists /Calvinists.

    Protestant church has NOTHING remotely equal to the Vatican. The Roman Catholic Church even has it’s own bank. The wealth of the Roman Church dwarfs that of the protestant church. True, in the west it was once the churches that provided services to the poor in need, but it was all to willing to step aside and let government take over that burden so it could keep all of that money for it’s self. Today the Catholic church still has the largest number of hospitals and clinics in the west, but in today’s world of health insurance, try getting health services for free in any of them. Billing insurance has made these church owned hospitals and clinics cash cows, and is the primary source of the Catholic church’s income. They are much less a religious faith, and much more a business.

    I am not sure there is "a" Protestant church, but, that did change the nature of the "monts du piete'" so that interest was charged for loans. I suppose the thinking is that "personal relationship" is more significant than apostolic succession? Are these two both that much against the religion of Jerusalem??

    Days ago, i was wondering where all humanitarian aid given to Ukraine, for the people, not the army, was going to, and why there were no videos of people receiving the aid a lot of countries send. Now i finally have evidence of how it is being 'redirected', i hope she doesn't get 'cancelled/destroyed' for speaking up

    Maybe Nosferatu instead?

    I remember Dracula as an Orthodox Christian Knight who stopped the Ottoman Empire from overrunning Europe.

    Secondly, if you have ever had a croissant, that is supposed to represent their defeat at Vienna. Some say this is just a baker's myth but no one will ever admit it, those secrets go to the grave.

    Now we have to call them "Turkey" and say "you are in a very difficult position" which is not on that great of terms with anyone.

    It just happens to be very close to a lot of people who don't like them at all. Some of them live there.

    Let's see. If I build an Iskander missile and never use it, that was a waste. Since NATO countries want to provide a lot of extra targets, they think it means using the missiles will drain Russia's piggy bank, but, actually, it just means they are getting their money's worth.

    To up the ante, Britain offers Ukraine another 1.3 billion Pounds, if not of the Queen's good silver, then I am not sure of what. This brings their running total up to about 3 billion, in just this first couple months of conflict, alone. Remember, you're not considered "totally committed" until your unborn grandchildren's future is *entirely* pledged to debt based wage slavery, without any possible means of securing land.

    Back when...back when this stuff first became identifiable, around the 1950s with Secrets of the Federal Reserve, before then, it would have been really hard for an ordinary person to understand how British and American money totally propped up the Nazis and then gave them important jobs. The idea was that if the public knew about that stuff, they would simply revolt.

    The U. S. Federal Government sucks at almost everything, but, somehow, so far they have done admirably with revolt suppression.

    Many thanks — I'm copying it here in full:

    From the Russian MoD: “Thanks to unprecedented measures taken by the leadership of the Russian Federation, with the active participation of representatives of the United Nations and the International Committee of the Red Cross, humanitarian operation to evacuate civilians from Azovstal plant is now complete.”

    There still are rumors of high level military in the plant but humanitarian corridors are closed. A group of reportedly about 1,000 soldiers walked out with white flag. The Russians have taken into custody enough people now to be able to stitch together who else is down there. We wait, with a good level of inquisitiveness, for some perp walks.

    From the Field: The settlement of Popasna under full control – this is a Big Deal.

    A very important strategic settlement, the capture of which breaks the first, most powerful line of defense of Ukraine in the Donbass. We have the first videos from refugees detailing their struggle: https://t.me/intelslava/28203

    Take a look at this map and it should not be hard to understand why this is a Big Deal.

    Snake Island 🐍 near Odessa: not even a little help from our ‘NATO colleagues’ could save the snake and the Russian MoD reports 💥 Near Zmeinyi Island (https://t.me/mod_russia_en/1398) the following have been shot down in the air: 1 Ukrainian Su-24 bomber, 1 Su-27 fighter jet, 3 Mi-8 helicopters with paratroopers and 2 Bayraktar-TB2 UAV. The Ukrainian amphibious assault boat Stanislav has also been destroyed. This is a Big Deal.

    A series of Warnings from the Russian MoD:

    On the occasion of the 77th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War and the many military parades, we can expect Ukie action.
    • ⚠️ Ukrainian armed formations have mined the dam of Kurakhovskaya thermal power plant reservoir (https://t.me/mod_russia_en/1403) in Pokrovskiy district of the Donetsk People’s Republic, which the nationalists plan to blow up, blaming “allegedly advancing units of the Russian troops”.
    • ⚠️ The Kiev regime carried out yet another sophisticated actionIn Seversk and Serebryanka settlements of the Donetsk People’s Republic (https://t.me/mod_russia_en/1402) to discredit the Russian Armed Forces before the world community. During the provocation, fighters of nationalist battalions dressed in Russian uniforms and driving armoured vehicles with “Z” sign fired on private houses, forcibly took valuables and personal vehicles from people, and physically assaulted civilians who showed the slightest resistance.
    Nevertheless, plans and rehearsals for the parades are ongoing: Dress rehearsal (https://t.me/mod_russia_en/1376) of a military parade was held in Moscow.

    Intel Slava Z has the minute details for today, as well as Readovka.

    The captured Chief of Staff of the Ukraine has this to say: “Ukraine could make concessions in order to end the conflict, the main points are a regime without NATO and a guarantee of non-aggression,” Colonel Dmitry Kormyankov, captive chief of staff of the 36th Marine Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

    And is this a signal or was Pyotr Tolstoy just musing about the Polish border?:

    “Russia’s military operation in Ukraine won’t end until the country is “completely denazified and demilitarized, so that it no longer poses a threat to the Russian Federation and cannot be transformed into an anti-Russia, as the West has tried to do in the past 30 years,” says (https://www.repubblica.it/esteri/202...toj-348021441/) deputy speaker of Russian parliament Pyotr Tolstoy.

    “I think we will stop once we reach the border with Poland,” added the lawmaker, who is also the great-great-grandson of acclaimed Russian writer Leo Tolstoy.

    The collective west supplies Rubbish!

    Becoming more clear now is that the countries of the North Atlantic Alliance are using the conflict in Ukraine in order to get rid of obsolete and decommissioned weapons. Rubbish is being brought to the Ukraine, and then the Russians destroy it. This is now obvious. The disgusting quality of the Javelin anti-tank missile systems (ATGM) supplied by the United States and the Swedish-British portable anti-tank guided missiles NLAW were recently reported by a prisoner – a former soldier of the Ukrainian army.

    Vadim Zholko, a soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine: “Their Javelin and NLAW grenade launchers, which were very much advertised, showed themselves in practice as they really were. There were misfires. They usually shoot one out of four, ”said the prisoner. The fired projectiles explode at fifty meters before reaching the target, or do not work at all. “That is, there were many of those whose batteries were expired,” the prisoner of war shared his impression of what he saw. The man complained that the training at the training grounds was mainly theoretical – “they showed it in a fast way.” Why misfires regularly occur was not explained to recruits. The reason became clear during the fighting – most of the batches of weapons had an expired shelf life. Cheaper NLAW complexes also turned out to be far from perfect.

    Bloomberg reported that Kyiv is losing a week-long supply of weapons every day.

    This all indicates that we will see more fighting in spots, but then, seemingly, it will all fall down and the Ukrainian forces will simply stop firing.

    The information war is not neglected by Russia, although they fumble. On Friday, the permanent Russian staff to the UN held an informational meeting (Arria Formula) for the UN Security Council. It was not Hollywood (Nebenzya is a serious man, but he is not an actor!). It was heart-wrenching. The outcome is that the UN Security Council could do no less, they were unable to maneuver out of this one and had to agree to a statement to search for a peaceful solution. Even with the United States holding the chairmanship this month, this united action could not be forestalled. As the cauldrons tighten around the fighting Ukrainians, so the cauldrons are tightening around the actions of the very small united west.

    This is the presentation: https://media.un.org/en/asset/k1p/k1pvngjn8e

    Is this worth anything? Yes, because these countries now cannot say they did not know. This is the list of 15 countries. Hold them to account!

    [Somewhat!] off-topic on this thread, because it pertains to so many current global issues, but the interesting question for me is whether this kind of destructive lunacy is malice or incompetence.

    (My provisional answer: malice at the very highest and maybe invisible string-pulling level, and incompetence at administrative strata a little lower down the pyramid hierarchy — but those lower strata include many senior politicians, and almost everyone in the media, in the public view in the EU and the US.)

    This is a short Russian video of a display (in Kherson) of Ukraine war crimes in Donbass.

    After a lot of experimenting, I found I could get it to play by setting my VPN to India. But I can NOT find a way download it for the library, which I'd very much like to do. If anyone can save it, please send it to me at bill@projectavan.net by email attachment or (if larger than 25Mb) by WeTransfer.com. Thx.

    The video title is В центре Херсона открылась фотовыставка о преступлениях ВСУ в Донбассе. That translates as

    A photo exhibition about the crimes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Donbass has opened in the center of Kherson.
