Pizza-delivery man risks his life to save children

Observational Reports:

"A pizza delivery man saved four children from a burning house, the heroic act was recorded on the police’s overall camera"

"The six-year-old girl likely would have died without the efforts of the 25-year-old pizza delivery man, according to the fire chief of the Lafayette Fire Department.

25 years old pizzalahetti Nick Bostic stretched to quite a feat in the state of Indiana, USA. A little after midnight on July 11, Bostic had noticed a burning single-family house while driving in the city of Lafayette, parked his car and fearlessly headed towards the flames.

Inside the house, he found an 18-year-old woman and three minor children. Bostic ushered them out safely, after which he learned that there was still a six-year-old girl trapped inside the house.

Bostic headed back to the burning house.

Emergency services and the police arrived at the scene of the fire while Bostic was inside rescuing the girl. Video recorded on a police bodycam shows Bostic running out of the burning house with the child in his arms as rescuers search for him.

He had gone in and pulled his shirt over his face

to protect himself from the smoke.

He went down and had practically followed the sound of the six-year-old

he found on the floor,”

says the fire prevention manager of the Lafayette fire department

interviewed by Reuters Brian Alkrien on Thursday.

In Alkrien’s view, Bostic’s actions probably saved the girl’s life.

“He was lying on the ground, so he probably didn’t try to get out on his own,

and the smoke had knocked him out really quickly,”

“So if it wasn’t for what he did,

I’d say the six-year-old wouldn’t be alive today.”

Participating the people who were there survived the incident with relatively few injuries.

While rescuing the girl, Bostic got a cut on his right hand, and the girl had a small wound on her leg.

In the overall camera video, Bostic receives first aid for his wound and at the same time asks the rescuers if the child is okay.

Bostic’s wound was so severe that he had to spend two days in the hospital because of it. Meanwhile, Bostic’s cousin had set up a fundraising campaign for him on GoFundMe. Bostic received over $500,000 in donations within days.

“Especially in small towns, where the fire brigade is not less than a mile away, heroic acts of civilians can be needed to save lives,” says Alkire."

Amazon workers demand answers about
NJ warehouse employee’s death: report

NY Post reports:

"According to Amazon Labor Union President Chris Smalls, the man told management he was experiencing chest pains but they refused to let him let him take break.

Some staffers at the Amazon warehouse in New Jersey where a worker died earlier this month during the Prime Day rush are fuming over the e-commerce giant’s response — and demanding more information be released.

Two employees at Amazon’s EWR9 facility in Carteret, NJ spoke anonymously to NBC News, claiming the man died on an upper floor known for high temperature.

One of them said their deceased colleague had worked as a “waterspider,” a job that involves carting goods around the facility.

The other said she asked her managers about his death but wasn’t given information — and told not to talk about it. She added that frustration at the warehouse is running high.

“It’s scary,” she said. “We should know what happened and how did it happen. It could have been any of us.”

The yet-to-be-identified worker’s death occurred July 13 during Amazon’s Prime Day sale, which is traditionally one of the online retailer’s busiest weeks of the year. It has kicked off an investigation by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

Amazon Labor Union President Chris Smalls, who rallied a company warehouse on Staten Island to a union victory earlier this year, tweeted Thursday that the worker had been “unconscious on the floor for over 20 minutes” and that it was “nearly an hour” before 911 was called.

He also said the man warned management he was experiencing chest pains but they refused to let him let him take break despite “heated conditions.”

"Debris from a massive Chinese rocket made its uncontrolled return to Earth on Saturday over the Indian Ocean, according to the US Space Command.

The debris was spotted by US Space Command at 12:45 pm. Aerospace experts had been tracking the debris for days because it was unclear when — and where — it would land.

The Chinese Manned Space Agency insisted most of the debris had burned up on re-entry over the Sulu Sea, between the island of Borneo and the Philippines, according to the New York Times, which cited updates on the social networking site Weibo.

The debris was part of a 23-ton, 10-story rocket called Long March 5B, which China jettisoned into orbit on July 24 to deliver a lab module to its Tiangong space station.

Two previous launches of the Long March 5B rocket had uncontrolled reentries, with debris landing near the west coast of Africa in 2020 and in the Indian Ocean in 2021."

Federal law requires these files to be kept for 22 months.

Maricopa County officials previously admitted that these files were “deleted” in a Congressional hearing but later walked it back and said that the files were “archived.”

This was one of the many law violations discovered by the Arizona audit and other Maricopa County’s 2020 Election investigations.

The Gateway Pundit previously reported on footage of the individuals deleting the files, but their identities were redacted from the public to maintain confidentiality.

On Saturday, it was revealed by Vanbibber that Maricopa County election Database Administrator Brian Ramirez was granted unauthorized entry to the server room on multiple occasions, and he deleted the files."

Ramirez does not have the required credentials to access the server room. However, Vanbibber discovered that he falsely used the identities of individuals who were authorized access.

Vanbibber matched the server room entry logs to the video footage and found Brian Ramirez using others’ cards to access the room.

Vanbibber: So basically, you have Brian entering the server room, and remember I told you he does not have badge access. We The People actually collected server room logs from Maricopa. So I went through all this video footage and matched it with the logs. What you see is Brian has Passarelli’s card in the server room, and he also has Charles Cooley’s badge as well.

Logan: So, Brian is accessing the server room using the identities and cards of other people.

Maricopa County policies also require two people in the server room whenever someone is using the keyboard video monitor, however, Brian was alone on multiple occasions."

China had issued multiple threats related to the trip, prompting Taiwan to call back soldiers that were on leave and begin preparing them for a potential war with the Chinese Communist Party.

“We would like to tell the United States once again that China is standing by, the Chinese People’s Liberation Army will never sit idly by, and China will take resolute responses and strong countermeasures to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity,” Chinese foreign ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian said during a daily press briefing prior to her arrival, according to a report from CBS News."

"China’s military vowed to launch ‘targeted military actions’ in response to Pelosi’s Taiwan visit.

“The Chinese People’s Liberation Army is on high alert and will launch a series of targeted military operations to counter this, resolutely defend national sovereignty and territorial integrity, and resolutely thwart external interference and ‘Taiwan independence’ separatist attempts,” PLA spokesman Wu Qian said in a statement condemning the visit, according to Insider."

"What message does this send to any country around the world that may think that it needs to have nuclear weapons - to protect, to defend, to deter aggression against its sovereignty and independence?" he asked. "The worst possible message".

Today, some 13,000 nuclear weapons are thought to remain in service in the arsenals of the nine nuclear-armed states - far lower than the estimated 60,000 stockpiled during the peak of the mid-1980s."

She's also due to meet with several civil society and business figures. Various media are reporting that she will meet with three prominent pro-democracy and rights activists in Taipei's Human Rights Park.

A litany of Taiwanese goods and products are now being hit by China in response to Pelosi's visit.

This morning, China's Commerce Ministry has announced immediate bans on citrus fruit, two types of fish and sand imports from Taiwan.

Yesterday it also sanctioned other goods- including biscuits and confectionary.

Taiwan has a deep economic relationship with China, which takes close to 30% of its exports and is its biggest trading partner.

Pelosi has been speaking in the Taiwanese parliament - she said she wanted to increase parliamentary exchanges between the US and Taiwan.

She also described Taiwan as "one of the freest societies in the world".

She also said a US bill on computer chips - which will see big US investment in domestic semiconductor manufacturing and science research - was a good opportunity for more cooperation with Taiwan.

Pelosi was received by vice president of the parliament, Tsai Chi-Chang.

Who recognizes Taiwan?

China regards Taiwan as a breakaway province which it has vowed to retake, by force if necessary.

But Taiwan's leaders say it is clearly much more than a province, arguing that it is a sovereign state.

It has its own constitution, democratically-elected leaders, and about 300,000 active troops in its armed forces. Chiang Kai-shek's Republic of China(ROC) government, which fled the mainland to Taiwan in 1949, at first claimed to represent the whole of China, which it intended to re-occupy.

It held China's seat on the United Nations Security Council and was recognised by many Western nations as the only Chinese government.

But in 1971, the UN switched diplomatic recognition to Beijing and the ROC government was forced out.

Since then the number of countries that recognize the ROC government diplomatically has fallen drastically to about 15.

Given the huge divide between these two positions, most other countries seem happy to accept the current ambiguity, whereby Taiwan has virtually all of the characteristics of an independent state, even if its legal status remains unclear.

During his talk with US ambassador Nicholas Burns, vice-foreign minister Xie Feng voiced "strong protests", according to Chinese state news agency Xinhua.

"The move is extremely egregious in nature and the consequences are extremely serious," he was quoted as saying.

He said the US would "pay the price for its own mistakes" and urged Washington to "immediately address its wrongdoings and take practical measures to undo the adverse effects caused by Pelosi's visit to Taiwan", Xinhua reported.

Republican Senator Dan Sullivan has become the latest of Nancy Pelosi's political opponents to support her trip to Taiwan.

"You do not want the Chinese Communist Party dictating to senior American leaders where they can and cannot travel," he told a news conference.

"My view - and I think the view of a number of senators - is that we should close ranks now and not let the Chinese Communist Party try to drive wedges between American elected officials or the White House on whether or not she should be there.
