Pentagon sent GPS-guided rounds to Ukraine – media
The US Pentagon is spending over $90 million to acquire new M982 Excalibur munitions, Bloomberg reported on Thursday. The department is replacing a stockpile previously sent to Ukraine, according to budget documents cited in the article.
The 155mm shells, each of which costs tens of thousands of dollars and may go well over $100,000, depending on the variant and year they were manufactured, are designed to strike within two meters of the GPS coordinates of a target.
The munitions were developed by Raytheon and BAE and are certified to be used with a number of NATO artillery pieces, including American M777 howitzers and German PzH2000 howitzers, which Ukraine possesses.
A document issued last month says that the Pentagon will spend $92 million to purchase “replacement M982 Excalibur munitions transferred to Ukraine in support of the international effort” to undermine Russia’s military operation, as quoted by Bloomberg. The money buys roughly 900 projectiles, a military analyst estimated for the news agency.

The funds come from more than $40 billion in emergency spending authorized by the Additional Ukraine Supplemental Act, which US President Joe Biden signed into law in May. The Pentagon was allocated at least half of the sum, including $9 billion to replenish US military stocks.
The US did not officially announce the delivery of Excalibur munitions to Kiev. But Ukrainian troops have shared videos on social media in which they apparently fired the shells on the battlefield.
In one video, reposted by a Russian war correspondent as proof that the precision rounds were being used by the Ukrainian side, a Ukrainian soldier jokingly remarked that his unit will “throw to the wind a heap of money” before loading the munition into a gun and firing it.
Canadian media reported in April that their country was quietly shipping Excalibur shells to Ukraine to complement the declared deliveries of the US-made M777 howitzers.

Blinken unexpectedly visiting Kiev — AFP
It is reported that the US Secretary of State would announce allocating some $2 billion in military aid for Ukraine and 18 more countries
PARIS, September 8. /TASS/. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken arrived on Thursday on an unexpected visit to Kiev to discuss military assistance, AFP reported.
According to the French news agency, the US high-profile official will discuss giving some $2.7 billion in military aid to Ukraine and neighboring countries. The visit is Blinken’s second to the Ukrainian capital since the start of Russia’s special military operation, AFP said.
The Associated Press said Blinken had arrived in Ukraine to demonstrate US support.
Reuters reported earlier on Thursday citing a Department of State official that the US Secretary of State would announce allocating some $2 billion in military aid for Ukraine and 18 more countries. These funds would come on top of a $675 million package announced on Thursday by Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin.

Again me not liking what i see here. It's really not that funny. Enjoying someone else's misfortune and remember - that misfortune will not happen to Ursula von der Lyer, Biden, Macaron or their families but to me and other average people.. No series of war crimes would be complete without the Queen of War Crimes herself chiming in. Here she is on Jimmy Fallon talking about the Ukraine at (2:45):
"They are getting the weapons they need to defend themselves and they are now on offense. I think we have to keep supporting them, helping them. They were attacked by an unprovoked act of war and they held out and they've done better than anyone could have predicted and *elinsky has been a true war time leader. I am so impressed with him and I think, you know, the United States should stand with them, along with all of our friends."

Isserly, Although I got a chuckle out of this, I am absolutely not wishing a winter without hot water on anyone, except upon the architects of this war, who will undoubtedly be spending the Winter in their over heated mega mansions in between their private jet trips to Majorca. I have an elderly aunt in Germany and I do worry about her and how she is going to get through the winter. While her parents spent many winters in an unheated farmhouse except for a fireplace in the kitchen, and heating seems like a modern luxury, it will make a difference in the quality of life and health that people experience. It might even be the difference between life and death for some people.Posted by Kryztian (here)

War is the most absurd phenomena known to mankind, and humor has a strange way of bridging that gap. We are, for the most part, kind creatures and it is incomprehensible that so many humans get led into committing such atrocities. It is beyond logic as, sometimes, humor is. I might slip on a banana peel, and it might give you a hearty laugh, but that doesn't mean you don't feel sorry for me when I injure my spine.
We are all paying the price of war in different ways. Pretty sure my winter heating bill here in the U.S.A. is going to be enormous which might seem trivial to those who may not even have it, and that seems trivial to what people in Kiev, or at the front lines are going through. But no matter which of these places we are in, we all just might find a little comfort in laughter, which is sometimes driven by the cruel absurdities of life on this planet.
Is every mind connected to form a peer to peer network that creates the illusion of a shared reality, making the appearance of material reality a simulation created through shared beliefs?
