Jeffrey Sachs, long-time Washington insider, walks through a brief and important history of the decades-long prelude to Russia's invasion:

1. In the early 90s, the US promises Gorbachev that it will not expand NATO "one inch" eastward.

2. The US instead chooses to pursue a strategy of global hegemony, violating this promise with first Clinton and then Bush incorporating many former Soviet states into NATO.

3. Putin gives a famous speech in 2007 at the Munich Security Conference, demanding the US stop this expansion up to Russia's border.

4. In 2008, Bush expresses strong support for Ukraine's attempt to join NATO.

5. In 2013, the US supports a violent coup that overthrew Ukraine's government to install a more US-friendly leader.

Whatever this war is, it didn't come out of nowhere.

💥 The dam of the Karlovskoye reservoir, 40 km north-west of Donetsk, which was used to supply the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Donetsk direction, has been blown up.

The blown up dam is of military importance - it was one of the roads used to supply Ukrainian troops in the Donetsk direction.
The Kiev regime blames the Russian army for this; Karlovka is under Ukrainian control.

John McCain was an American politician and United States Navy officer who served as a United States senator from Arizona from 1987 until his death in 2018. To the best of my knowledge, he recorded this interview in or around 2015. Whether you argree with his words or not it is interesting to look back almost 10 years later. Just for perspective Russia invaded and occupied parts of Ukraine in Feb 2022 which was a major escalation of the Russo-Ukrainian War, which had begun in 2014. The invasion (most reliable sources say) has resulted in anwhere between 200,000 to 400,000 deaths on both sides, and instigated Europe's largest refugee crisis since World War II.

Here at a journalist and student's meeting being questioned by Alina Lipp:

Former US intelligence officer Scott Ritter: "Nazi ideology is alive today both in Ukraine and in the US!" "Russia stands on the right side of history!"

At a meeting with students and journalists, German Alina Lipp asked Scott Ritter, to comment on the fact that Germany supports Nazis in Ukraine who terrorize and kill the Russian-speaking population.

In response, Ritter very emotionally stated that he hates Nazi Germany and cannot understand that German tanks are going to Russia again 💪

In his opinion America, Germany and Canada have forgotten their history, where Nazi ideology is still alive today. Even not far from where Scott Ritter lives in the United States, a monument to Bandera has been erected.

Therefore, Russia, according to him, stands on the right side of history in the current conflict.
