Seems like October 13 is a recurring 'special' date.
- October 13th, 54 A.D. the Emperor Claudius of Rome was assassinated by poisoning, presumably by his wife Julia Agrippina so that her son Nero could become Emperor. Nero, as most know, was one of the most cruel and disastrous Emperors in history.
On Friday October 13, 1307 the Templar Knights in France were arrested by order of the king.
- October 13th, 1884. After Pope Leo XIII said mass, presumably at the Vatican in Rome

As the priests and cardinals rushed to his side, Leo XIII rose and visibly shaken, brushed off his aides and rushed back towards his apartment where he immediately wrote the Prayer to Saint Michael the Archangel. Leo XIII reportedly saw a vision of demons being released from Hell, however, just as the vision ended, he saw Saint Michael charge in and drive them all back into Hell. Leo XIII mandated that the prayer be said after every Mass from that point forth.
The Fatima 'miracle of the sun' occurred on Saturday October 13, 1917
- October 13th 1973, in a Catholic convent near Akita, Japan, sister Agnes Sasagawa receives the last of the three messages, and the most apocalyptic of the three. A statues of Mary had previously been seen to be weeping, and images of it had be broadcast on Japanese television. On this occasion, many nuns said they saw the statues come of life.
