Who wants to meet up in AZ between 2/23 and 2/27 (UFO Congress)?

So.

I woke up this morning with a task in my head: to get in my car and drive 30 miles to the UFO Congress to see Jim Marrs and meet up with some people from Avalon.

Mission accomplished.

Here's what else happened that made this one of the most unbelievable days of my life.

After the Jim Marrs presentation (RV and UFOs) I went into the vendor section and saw Kerry, so I approached her and just said thanks for everything and we talked a few minutes. She was super gracious and nice and it was kind of stunning to be standing next to her - like an alternative media rock-star. She's very down to Earth and it's just kind of staggering to be standing next to someone you see on the internet constantly and someone you look up to. Thank you Kerry.

I meet up with the other forum members (Thanks for that huge blue sign Tom!) and we sit down to eat. Everyone was so great and we talked and talked, but I noticed this old guy at the end of the table and there was...something there...

So I finish eating and walk down to the end and sit next to Heather2012 (Nice people everywhere) and another gentleman who's name escapes me...I'M SORRY!

Anyway I ask Heather "Who is this guy?" and she says, "Oh his name is Chuck - he has wreckage from a UFO."

...Sure he does.

So I strike up a conversation with him and just ask him about it. He turns out to be extremely knowledgeable about the crashes (plural ) and we talk more and more. Then Bill shows up, so I go introduce myself - nicest. guy. ever. Just a smile on his face and so happy to talk to you. Thank you Bill!

So I walk back to Chuck and talk some more. More questions - more extremely patient answers. Thank you Chuck!

Then this other lady walks up to Chuck and introduces herself as Natascha from Exopolitics Germany (awesome) and asks if she can interview him. He agrees and I shake his hand and say good to meet you and he goes, "Hey, do you wanna come up and watch her interview me?"

Yes Chuck. Yes I do. Natascha says, "Yeah you can come! No problem!" - Thank you Natascha!

So we walk to his room and they do the interview (gotta watch it on their website, I'm not telling anything ) and he pulls out the wreckage.

He places it in Natascha's hand and she just marvels. She passes it to me and it lands in my hand and the palm of my hand just heats up and starts buzzing. I've never felt anything like it.

Then she points the camera at me and says, "Do you feel anything?" I'm sure she'll edit out me standing there dumbstruck and just speechless, but rest assured, that was the whole of it.

It's the same with the other 3 pieces he gives us. Heat and Buzz. It's simply incredible.

They're talking some more (did I mention how knowledgeable Chuck is about this? Wow) and the door opens and in walk Bill and Kerry.

So I go from dumbstruck to awestruck and just stand there. Then I say "Hey Kerry we're just finishing up, let me re-arrange these tables" (that was literally all I could think to say!) and she says, "Hey can you stay and help?"

Yes Kerry. Yes I can.

So I help her set up the cameras and pull the curtains and turn on the AC and I fumble around with tapes for the cameras and mention that I was a film major, so I help her set the cameras and lighting - not ideal lighting, but she's pretty amazing with the film-making - and then she handed me a camera and said, "here."

What do you mean "here?" You want me to film this? Unreal!

So Inelia (such a sweetheart) is sitting there and she says, "Hey you might wanna label those tapes," and I say, "Ok, what should I label them?"

"Just put Rich and the day and the tape number."

"Rich who?"

"Rich Dolan."

What. The. Hell.

Is this really happening to me? I showed up to watch Jim Marrs for an hour and eat some lunch, and I get to be part of this!?

So Bill and Kerry start talking about how the show's gonna go down and I step out and go to the restroom (nerves you know?) and I walk out and there is Rich Dolan.

Richard Dolan, Bill Ryan and Kerry Cassidy in the same frigging room with me. What?

So they sit down and we roll cameras and they just start talking.

And yes, you'll have to wait for the interview to air.

So I'm standing there holding this camera and watching this trio just fire away and every once in a while I would look up from the viewfinder and suddenly realize that these three people were literally 3 feet from me. There are no words.

This was one of the most extraordinary days of my life, and I am forever grateful to Chuck, Natascha, Inelia, Bill, Kerry and Richard for allowing me to be a part of it. I am still awestruck by what I saw today. Everyone was extremely patient with me and so gracious at allowing this kid they've never met or laid eyes on to be part of this life-changing thing. And that's not overly-dramatic. I will NEVER forget this, or the kindness of these people.

I will say that I hope and pray that I was good enough a filmmaker to meet their expectations. I'm kind of nervous about how it's going to turn out...

Also, thank you to everyone from Avalon for being so open and inviting and allowing this young, outspoken kid to be a part of this massive movement. I really look forward to the Arizona Chapter meet-ups!

I am forever grateful to all of you and I can't wait for more.

yeah, that was our table. It was so windy the sign kept flying off, so it had to be put away.

Damn! I actually left early to get there before the start of lunch, but the traffic from the 101 off-ramp down Shea Blvd. was insane for several miles. Oh, well!
