Been watching this since yesterday. Truly a freak catastrophe!! The Mediterranean sea is becoming more conducive for tropical-like storm systems, and it was one of these which was named "Daniel" that dumped 16 inches of rain over Derna in just 6 hours. Some of the locals on twitter stated that the dams burst at 2 AM on the 11th, while most were asleep. Wall of water 100 feet high rushed downriver to the sea, sweeping away everything in its path like a tsunami. Horrible stuff, and so soon after yet another disastrous natural event in Morocco a few days earlier.

Those burst dams may have been built by China. The CCP has been building dams in third world countries in lieu of debts owed.
They haven't built good dams in their own country--they are constantly crumbling and being washed away, just as the ones they've built in other countries.
They built the 3 Gorges Dam on an earthquake fault; it's beginning to crack, and erosion along the river and reservoir banks is taking its toll.
China is having record flooding now and the rainy season doesn't end until October.
So goes 2023...
