It's a 'me' thing this, and in no way meant as a negative criticism of anyone who uses this terminology: Christian Zionist - it's an oxymoronic phrase, a conflation. (Same with antisemitic and variations thereof)

That's true except the real mistake is to call it "Christian" to begin with. That name has been purloined from the religion of Jerusalem, which the west is fairly ignorant of.

It's fake Christianity--i. e., the Anti-Christ--but it is real Zionism, a modern political machine.

    "Semitic" is basically "Phoenician".

Genetics can answer most of the "racial" issues, and, indeed, most Jews truly are a distinguishable group. But otherwise I am not sure there is evidence for "Tribes" or "House of David", which would pull the rug out from under most of the hardcore doctrines. Then again so does an archaeological and historical review of how such beliefs were cobbled together.

Take your pick--it is easy to deconstruct the whole thing, because it does not have an honest bone in its body.

That is why the English language is difficult, because it is upside-down in this sense. Possibly salvageable, but mostly, inherently false.

Boycott of Israeli-linked products, brands takes over Middle East

14-year-old Jana Abdullah is boycotting Western brands as "Israel" attacks Gaza and kills its children, as part of the ongoing campaign trending on social media to boycott major brands, such as Starbucks, KFC, and Carrefour with profits pouring into the West and consequently "Israel", considering the "unwavering support" the West had vowed for "Israel".

"We have started to boycott all products that support Israel in solidarity with the Palestinians," Jana tells AFP, adding, "We do not want our money to contribute to more fighting".

Part of the boycott campaign are browser extensions, dedicated websites, and smartphone apps that identify linked products. For instance, the Google Chrome extension, PalestinePact, blurs advertisements for products online if they are part of the list.

In other ways, giant billboards display blood-stained children like that in Kuwait City, asking, "Did you kill a Palestinian today?" taking a jab at those who still benefit "Israel"-linked products.

Last month, McDonald's "Israel" franchise announced it was providing free meals to the Israeli occupational forces (IOF), which sparked outrage in the region.

McDonald's Kuwait branch took to social media to say it "stands with Palestine" and pledged more than $160,000 to relief efforts in Gaza, while McDonald's Qatar also pledged $275,000 to relief efforts in Gaza, announcing it has nothing to do with the Israeli branch.

Starbucks has also taken a hit, as many groups and individuals in Lebanon have called to boycott it.

    Bringing back local brands

Part of the boycott as well is not only product-linked. Ambassadors to "Israel" have also been recalled and expelled by multiple nations.

Turkey and Jordan recalled their ambassadors, Saudi Arabia announced a halt in normalization talks, while Honduras, Colombia, and Chile withdrew their ambassadors as well. Meanwhile, Bolivia severed diplomatic ties with "Israel" over the ongoing war crimes in Gaza.

In South Africa last week, a National Day of Action took place in solidarity with Palestine during which protesters continued to urge the South African government to close the Israeli Embassy in South Africa and to implement legislation for a boycott, divestment, and sanctions (BDS) campaign against "Israel".

In Egypt, a local and unpopular soda brand Spiro Spathis has now garnered fame again because of the boycott. Founded in 1920, the company recently received over 15,000 applications in a hiring round as a result.

However, the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce warned that it could negatively impact the country's economy as it said in a statement, "The impact on the Egyptian investors and tens of thousands of workers will be profound."

In Jordan, social media posts asked consumers not to "pay for bullets." A consumer, Abu Abdallah, told AFP in a grocery store looking at flavored milk, "Ah, this is made in Tunisia," with his four-year-old son Abdullah beside him.

"This is the least we can do for our brothers in Gaza," he said. "We must boycott."

All you should know about the Israeli Ben Gurion Canal project
By Frontier India News Network - 2021-04-11

The Israelis are promoting a Red Sea-Mediterranean Sea waterway, the Ben Gurion Canal, as a rival to the Suez Canal. As per the Israelis, the distance between Eilat, a southern Israeli port and resort town on the Red Sea near Jordan, and the Mediterranean is not long and is, in fact, similar to the distance of the Suez connection between the Red Sea and the Mediterranean.

Freeman has long warned against unconditional US support for Israel, and it's actually cost him dearly. For instance Obama wanted to appoint him head the National Intelligence Council but he had to withdraw under pressure because he'd been quoted two years beforehand as saying “The brutal oppression of the Palestinians by Israeli occupation shows no sign of ending,” and “American identification with Israel has become total.”

In an effort to conceal its atrocities in #Gaza and the occupied #WestBank, "Israel" is deliberately targeting and killing journalists working to document Israeli brutality against the #Palestinian people.

To this end, Israeli occupation forces detained a film crew from the #German broadcaster #ARD in the occupied West Bank and used firearms to intimidate other journalists, as reported by #Tagesschau, an entity within the ARD media group.

The journalists were arrested following their documentation of acts of violence against #Palestinians by Israeli settlers, as per the report.

In its report, Tagesschau stressed that ARD perceives the assault of a media staff member as a direct assault on freedom of the press.

"Soldiers threatened us with guns and asked if we were Jews. Our colleague was called a traitor … Journalists who want to cover events taking place in the West Bank in the shadow of the war in the Gaza Strip are apparently not allowed to do so," ARD correspondent Jan-Christoph Kitzler said.

Israeli aggression driving global recession, Wall Street giants say

Ongoing and wide-ranging confrontations in the Middle East could set in motion a global recession, two of Wall Street's biggest names have warned.

Larry Fink, the chief executive of Blackrock, the world's largest asset manager, stressed that geopolitical instability will lead to a withdrawal in consumption, aggravating the risk of European and American recession.

"Geopolitical risk is a major component in shaping all our lives. We are having rising fear throughout the world, and less hope," Fink explained to the Sunday Times.

Fink pointed to the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip and the war in Ukraine as two of the main factors that have influenced the global economy.

"Rising fear creates a withdrawal from consumption or spending more. So fear creates recessions in the long run, and if we continue to have rising fear, the probability of a European recession grows and the probability of a US recession grows."

On his part, Jamie Dimon, the chair of JP Morgan, the United States' largest bank, pointed to the Sunday Times the same factors, saying that they were "quite scary and unpredictable."

"What’s happening on the geopolitical front right now is the most important thing for the future of the world – freedom, democracy, food, energy, immigration," Dimon asserted.

Earlier, Dimon had claimed that this is "the most dangerous time the world has seen in decades," as the realization of potential conflicts in the Middle East draws closer, due to "Israel's" brutal policies.

The financier said escalation could have "far-reaching impacts" on energy prices, food costs, and international trade.

    'Israel' breaks its own economy

Earlier this month, Israeli media reports confirmed that the occupation's Tamar gas field had been shut down soon after the launch of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood on October 7.

The field, located 80 kilometers off the coast of occupied Haifa in Palestine, did not have sufficient protection in case of potential attacks.

Israeli website, Calcalist, underscored that "the billions spent by the state ("Israel") on defense do not provide the goods, and a flare-up in the northern arena could also disable Leviathan," one of the largest gas fields in the eastern Mediterranean located 47 kilometers to the southwest of Tamar.

"Israel's" continued aggression on the Gaza Strip has also led to a sharp decrease in the occupation's gas exports to Egypt for refinement. According to Calcalist, "Gas exports to Egypt dropped by about 70% during the war."

On a macro level, Israeli companies experienced a significant drop of 50% in total revenues since October 7. Notably, the construction and food services sectors were the hardest hit, with more than 70% of the surveyed companies reporting a revenue decrease of over 70%.

The construction sector, heavily reliant on Palestinian labor, suffered a severe blow, particularly due to the restriction on Palestinian entry into occupied territories from the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.

The occupation's economic crisis is expected to deepen in the future, as vital sectors, including tourism, trade, construction, and energy exploitation, continue to take major blows amid continued retaliatory attacks from the Gaza Strip, Yemen, Lebanon, and Iraq.

    SEYMOUR HERSH:
HOW THE HOSTAGE CRISIS COULD END

Inside the secret talks between Hamas leaders and Israel

    NOV 5

Smoke and flames billow after Israeli forces struck a high-rise tower in Gaza City, October 7, 2023. Photo by Palestinian News & Information Agency (Wafa) in contract with APAimages.
The Israeli military and political leadership are beginning to see the results of a carefully planned end game that will be murderous—there is no other word for it—to the members of the Hamas military now being hunted down in the tunnels and rubble of Gaza City. The orders are to shoot to kill on sight. The collapse of the military wing of Hamas has given the group’s political leadership, who claim to have not been directly involved in the planning for the October 7 massacre, a chance to demonstrate their good will and save their own lives by arranging for Israeli hostages to be transferred to a basement in the besieged al-Shifa hospital, long a stronghold of Hamas. Some Israeli officials fear that time is running out because it’s not known how long the air in the tunnels will be breathable.
A possible breakthrough, if that is the right word, concerning the hostages emerged in secret talks between Israel and Yahya Sinwar, a onetime prisoner of Israel who now directs the political wing of Hamas. Sinwar publicly announced on October 28 that Hamas was ready for what he said would be an “immediate” prisoner swap with Israel in return for the release of all Palestinian prisoners now in Israeli custody.
The Hamas leader and his colleagues have been told that survival is possible if they release the Israeli hostages and agree to begin holding immediate war-crime tribunals. The Israelis want the death penalty for those Hamas combat leaders who encouraged and then did nothing to stop the war crimes of their fighters.
“The Hamas political leadership was not involved in the massacre,” an American official told me, “and the thought was that if they agree to try their own people and order them executed, they will be given their lives while also exonerating Israel for the war. We’re holding out clemency for the Hamas political leadership—giving them a chance to surrender the hostages and cling to life by moving them to the hospital.” One key member of the Hamas political leadership, Sinwar’s predecessor Ismail Hanyieh, left Gaza with his family before the October attack took place.
A significant factor in the talks, the American official said, has been the Hamas horrors that involved the raping, mutilation, and murder of Israeli civilians, including the very young and very old, who were left unprotected by the Israeli military during the ten or so hours of rampage on October 7. Graphic evidence of the unimaginable brutality was recorded by iPhones and GoPro head cameras and relayed in real time by the Hamas fighters to family and friends in Gaza and the West Bank, and is now gradually being released by the Israeli government as worldwide condemnation mounts of Israel’s retaliatory bombing of Gaza. Those unopposed attacks, at last count, had led to more than ten thousand deaths and worldwide rage and demonstrations protesting the Israeli decision to target the civilians of Gaza—an assault seen as a war crime by many. Hundreds of thousands marched Saturday in Washington, Berlin, Santiago, Rome, and London calling for an immediate ceasefire.
The concept of an Israeli-instigated war-crimes tribunal amid a bombing campaign that has flattened much of Gaza may seem out of a bad novel but an Israeli expert on the region, who knows of the seriousness of current hostage talks, surprised me by depicting Sinwar as someone “who could be open to a deal.
“He is a fanatic and an ascetic,” the expert said of Sinwar, who served twenty-two years in an Israeli prison for murder. “Dedicated to the cause. No family, very religious but got very friendly with Shin Bet [Israeli internal security]

guys while in prison and was seen as not irrational. He will want a chance to give service to the cause. He will be open to a door.” Sinwar also became fluent in Hebrew while in prison. The expert predicted that Sinwar, along with some of the Hamas officials now in Qatar, “would want any deal to include a commitment that Israel would not come after them if a deal is made.”
Evidence of Sinwar’s publicly promised prisoner deal—his initial offer called the release of the Israeli hostages to be traded for thousands of Palestinian prisoners now in Israeli jails—is the hoped for flow of the current Israeli hostages to their much safer, drier, and healthier quarters below ground in Gaza’s Al-Shifa hospital. I was told that water and food would be available.
At the time of writing the Israeli infantry, aided by the bombing, is in the process of either blowing up Hamas tunnels or sending in combat units, accompanied by dogs trained to sniff out human beings, with the mission to kill Hamas soldiers on site or to force others to the surface where they are being shot on sight. The two hundred Hamas soldiers who were captured during or in the aftermath of the October 7 attacks “were not interrogated nicely,” I was told by an Israeli combat veteran, and they have provided higher numbers—an estimated 35,000 fighters, total—of the Hamas fighting force than were known to Israeli intelligence, adding to the many questions left unanswered by the attack.
The requests by President Joe Biden and Secretary of State Antony Blinken, who recently visited Tel Aviv, for a bombing “pause” were rejected out of hand by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the Israeli military leadership. One knowledgeable American official told me that a ceasefire and a pause are seen by the Israeli leadership as the same thing: a halt in the bombing. I was further told that one general in the Israeli command headquarters in Tel Aviv noted any bombing pause at this point will only be “to reload.”
As the Israeli bombing and ground attack continues—Gaza City is now under siege from the North, East, South, and the Mediterranean Sea—Sinwar and his political wing colleagues also have been told that their own chances of survival will improve if they continue to ensure that the Israeli hostages, now believed to total 248, are moved to relative safety in the hospital.
“Thirty-one of the hostages are seventy years and older—one is said to be a Holocaust survivor, and two are infants, aged four months and eight months, with no mother or father, and twenty-three under eighteen years of age.” The Israeli who relayed those numbers to me said that the International Committee of the Red Cross “has not been pressuring Hamas to grant them access to the hostages, although it did seek almost immediate access to the two hundred Hamas prisoners in Israeli custody.”
Meanwhile, the Hamas soldiers still alive in the tunnels underneath Gaza will be suffocating soon from a lack of fresh air, as there is little fuel left to run the generators necessary for a constant flow of oxygen. Food will be getting rancid and water supplies may be running low. The more than two hundred miles of tunnels will inevitably become a death trap, making life below ground as difficult as it is above.
“Hamas must begin to release the hostages,” the American official said.

True, by putting the Palestine issue back on the international agenda, Hamas has already gained a political victory.

With the Abrahams accord, Israel and the US were about to put the Palestine issue into the trash bins of history. Following the Hamas attack, the Abrahams accord is virtually dead and people are again talking about the 2-State solution after it had almost dropped entirely from the political agenda. Maybe the 2-State solution is no longer viable because Israeli settlers have taken too much Palestinian land already and what remains of Palestine looks a bit like a Swiss cheese (the holes in it).

If the Hamas attack leads to a political process that helps safeguard the rights of the Palestinians it has to be considered a legitimate act of self-defense under the UN Charta and not a terrorist attack.

Going beyond Israeli propaganda, the ratio of civilian to military casualties is probably much lower than initially assumed and certainly much lower than the ratio of civilian to military casualties of Israel's attacks on Gaza. Thus, Hamas more than Israel respects the principal of proportionality required by the UN Charta for legitimate self-defense.

I guess Hamas leaders are students of Clausewitz.
    Intuition without rationality is despotism
Rationality without intuition is the ossification of the mind

This is a very good analysis, but I wonder if Bolsen has the dynamic right. Is it America exploiting Israel? Or the other way around? I can't help but think of all the implications of this post, that Golda Meir essentially blackmailed the United States with the Samson Option, and weak-kneed Nixon acquiesced. Contrary to Bolsen's thesis, then, perhaps it's the United States who has been on a leach ever since, its politicians bought and paid for by the Zionist lobby, and its leaders too feckless and cowardly to stand up to "the mad dog" Zionist doctrine as described by Israeli minister Moshe Dayan.

This begs the question: Is Netanyahu threatening the same? Well, yeah. Heritage Minister Amichai Eliyahu essentially admitted as much.

Whatever the case, Netanyahu's policies do not appear rational. Those in charge of Israeli policy appear to be the "mad dog" for which Israeli minister Moshe Dayan advocates when outlining Zionist policy. If not quelled, these policies do pose an existential threat to the State of Israel. The world is--and will--turn against Israel (and by association, the United States), if the Zionists do not stop their current war crimes against Gaza. This won't bode well for Israel or the United States, or the world entire.

So I would ask, how are any of these policies in America's self interest? It makes absolutely no sense...

I do not know the degree to which Zionist ideology pervades the sentiments of the Israeli people, but my guess is most Israelis, as most Americans, are not Zionists and would prefer peace over suicide. So if anything, it may be the other way around, Israeli Zionists may be controlling America, or more accurately put, in collusion with an encompassing global power exploiting the peoples of both countries.

    Let's consider:

If POTUS Barack Obama was unfriendly to Israel, why was he unable to sever America from its Zionist yoke?

It seems to me the Zionist Industrial Complex--the Deep State--however one ascribes the unelected global powers to the actors responsible for what appears to be the opening salvo of WWIII, have captured both America and Israel for their own purposes.

So I would point out to Bolsen that America is not the power controlling Israel. America itself is controlled and captured by the same powers waging and enabling the genocide and hell-bent on destroying the world.

Israel’s unfolding genocide of Palestinians in Gaza

The Palestinian BDS National Committee (BNC), the largest coalition in Palestinian society that is leading the global Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement, salutes activists, organizations and institutions worldwide that have expressed meaningful solidarity with our urgent struggle to stop Israel’s unfolding genocide in Gaza by escalating boycott and divestment campaigns. The spreading boycotts of complicit Israeli and multinational corporations can be effective if done strategically.

Ending all state, corporate and institutional complicity with Israel’s genocidal regime is more urgent than ever. Our lives and livelihoods literally depend on it.

    Targeted Boycotts vs. Non-targeted Boycotts

People of conscience around the world are rightfully shattered, enraged, and sometimes feeling powerless. Many feel compelled to boycott any and all products and services of companies tied in any way to Israel. The proliferation of extensive “boycott lists” on social media is an example of this. The question is how to make boycotts effective and actually have an impact in holding corporations accountable for their complicity in the suffering of Palestinians?

The BDS movement uses the historically successful method of targeted boycotts inspired by the South African anti-apartheid movement, the US Civil Rights movement, the Indian anti-colonial struggle, among others worldwide.

We must strategically focus on a relatively smaller number of carefully selected companies and products for maximum impact. Companies that play a clear and direct role in Israel’s crimes and where there is real potential for winning, as was the case with, among others, G4S, Veolia, Orange, Ben & Jerry’s and Pillsbury. Compelling such huge, complicit companies, through strategic and context-sensitive boycott and divestment campaigns, to end their complicity in Israeli apartheid and war crimes against Palestinians sends a very powerful message to hundreds of other complicit companies that “your time will come, so get out before it’s too late!”

Many of the prohibitively long lists going viral on social media do the exact opposite of this strategic and impactful approach. They include hundreds of companies, many without credible evidence of their connection to Israel’s regime of oppression against Palestinians, making them ineffective.

That being said, all peaceful popular efforts, including boycott and divestment, to hold all genuinely complicit corporations (and institutions) accountable for supporting Israel’s grave violations of Palestinian rights are justified and called for. It is perfectly legitimate, for instance, to boycott companies whose Israeli branch or franchise has supported Israel’s unfolding genocide in Gaza, some of which we mention below in the grassroots organic boycott targets section.

Also, a company or product may make perfect sense as a boycott target in one context or city but not another. This context-sensitivity is a key principle of our movement. Regardless, we all have limited human capacity, so we’d better use it in the most effective way to achieve meaningful, sustainable results that can truly contribute to Palestinian liberation. We therefore call on our supporters to strengthen our targeted campaigns and boycott the complicit companies named on our website to maximize our collective impact.

The following are the current top priority boycott targets of the global BDS movement.

    Consumer targets:

    Siemens

Siemens is the main contractor for the Euro-Asia Interconnector, an Israel-EU submarine electricity cable that is planned to connect Israel’s illegal settlements in the occupied Palestinian territory to Europe. Siemens-branded electrical appliances are sold globally.

    PUMA

Puma sponsors the Israel Football Association, which governs teams in Israel’s illegal settlements on occupied Palestinian land.

    Carrefour

Carrefour is a genocide enabler. Carrefour-Israel has supported Israeli soldiers partaking in the unfolding genocide of Palestinians in Gaza with gifts of personal packages. In 2022, it entered a partnership with the Israeli company Electra Consumer Products and its subsidiary Yenot Bitan, both of which are involved in grave violations against the Palestinian people.

    AXA

When Russia invaded Ukraine, AXA took targeted measures against it. Yet, as Israel, a 75-year-old regime of settler-colonialism and apartheid, wages a genocidal war on Gaza, AXA continues to invest in Israeli banks financing war crimes and the theft of Palestinian land and natural resources.

    Hewlett Packard Inc (HP Inc)

HP Inc provides services to the offices of genocide leaders, Israeli PM Netanyahu and Financial Minister Smotrich.

    SodaStream

SodaStream is actively complicit in Israel's policy of displacing the indigenous Bedouin-Palestinian citizens of Israel in the Naqab (Negev) and has a long history of racial discrimination against Palestinian workers.

    Ahava

Ahava cosmetics has its production site, visitor center, and main store in an illegal Israeli settlement in the occupied Palestinian territory.

    Israeli produce in your supermarkets

Fruits, vegetables, and wines misleadingly labeled as “Product of Israel” often include products of illegal settlements on stolen Palestinian land. Israeli companies do not distinguish between the two, and neither should consumers. Boycott produce from Israel in your supermarket and demand their removal from shelves.

    Corporate/Institutional boycott targets:

    Elbit Systems

Elbit Systems, apartheid Israel’s largest arms company and “field-tests” its weapons on Palestinians, including in Israel’s ongoing genocidal war on Palestinins in Gaza. On top of building killer drones, Elbit makes surveillance technology for Israel's apartheid wall, checkpoints and Gaza fence, enabling apartheid. The US and EU use Elbit's tech to militarize their borders, violating refugee and indigenous peoples' rights.

    HD Hyundai/Volvo/CAT/JCB

Machinery from HD Hyundai, Vovlo, CAT, and JCB has been used by Israel in the ethnic cleansing and forced displacement of the Palestinian people through the destruction of Palestinian homes, farms, and businesses, as well as the construction of illegal settlements, a war crime under international law.

    Google and Amazon

As the Israeli military bombed homes, clinics, and schools in Gaza and threatened to push Palestinian families from their homes in occupied Jerusalem May 2021, Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud executives signed a $1.22 billion contract to provide cloud technology to the Israeli government and military. By supporting Israeli apartheid with vital technologies, Amazon and Google are directly implicated in its entire system of oppression, including its unfolding genocide in Gaza. Join the #NoTechForApartheid campaign. While the campaigns targeting these corporations have not called for boycotts, other forms of pressure have been adopted to force them to end their complicity.

    Airbnb/Booking/Expedia

Airbnb, Booking.com and Expedia all offer rentals in illegal Israeli settlements built on stolen Palestinian land. While the campaigns targeting these corporations have not called for boycotts, other forms of pressure have been adopted to force them to end their complicity.

    RE/MAX

The company markets and sells property in illegal Israeli settlements built on stolen Palestinian land, thus enabling Israel’s colonization of the occupied West Bank.

    Barclays

Barclays Bank (UK) holds more than £1 billion in shares and provides more than £3bn in loans and underwriting to nine companies whose weapons, components and military technology have been used in Israel’s armed violence against Palestinians.

    CAF

Basque transport firm, CAF, builds and services the Jerusalem Light Rail (JLR), a tram line that serves Israel's illegal settlements in Jerusalem. CAF benefits from Israel’s war crimes on stolen Palestinian land.

    Chevron

US fossil fuel multinational Chevron is the main international corporation extracting gas claimed by apartheid Israel in the East Mediterranean. Chevron generates billions in revenues, strengthening Israel’s war chest. Chevron fuels Israeli apartheid and the climate crisis.

    HikVision

Amnesty International has documented high-resolution CCTV cameras made by the Chinese company Hikvision installed in residential areas and mounted to Israeli military infrastructure for surveillance of Palestinians. Some of these models, according to Hikvision’s own marketing, can plug into external facial recognition software.

    TKH Security

Amnesty International has identified cameras made by the Dutch company TKH Security used by Israel for surveillance of Palestinians. TKH provides Israeli police with surveillance technology that is used to entrench apartheid.

    Grassroots organic boycott targets:

McDonald’s, Burger King, Papa John’s, Pizza Hut, WIX, etc. are now being targeted by grassroots organic boycott campaigns, not initiated by the BDS movement, because these companies, or their branches or franchises in Israel, have openly supported Israel and/or provided generous in-kind donations to the Israeli military amid the current Israeli offensive against 2.3 million Palestinians in the occupied and besieged Gaza Strip–described by leading international scholars of international law as an “unfolding genocide.”

Remember, all Israeli banks and virtually all Israeli companies are complicit to some degree in Israel’s system of occupation and apartheid, and hundreds of international corporations and banks are also deeply complicit. We focus our boycotts on a small number of companies and products for maximum impact.

I wish the title of the thread was changed to reflect that this is a biased and prejudiced one-way slant on the war.
This is a thread for Palestinian supporters.
It does not cover the war in a balanced way at all.

It is just as much propaganda as mainstream news coverage of the MAGA movement in the USA.

    Fine.
    Israel must be eradicated.
The ignorance of that statement is hard to take but okay. There are many anti-Semites here with their own opinions I can't change.

But let's get to the Hamas part, please, if it is true what is maintained here about the Palestinians. And if you want people to believe this is unbiased reporting. Ya, right!

Here's my newest. To balance the slate.
Israel should invade Egypt and kill its civilians by the hundreds in retaliation for having enslaved the Israelites back in the day.
That is the proportional response advocated and supported by the anti-Israel movement.
It's okay to murder if you have been wronged in the past. But not okay to retaliate against those murders in the present.

Dear Ernie, we all truly empathize with everything that's happening in your life right now. (For any who might possibly be unaware, please see The Support Thread. )

But if I may say, I think you may have your logic a little scrambled. Clearly, the majority of Avalon members posting here are 'Palestinian supporters'. (I am one myself. The issues for me are self-evident. I'll defend that any time of the day or night.)

But supporting Palestinians and the current thousands of Palestinian victims, and understanding the manifest injustice of the history of Palestine, does not make one a Hamas supporter, or a supporter of any kind of violence.

    The two are very different.

It's a self-arming, self-springing trap for both sides. By prophesy, at this rate we're in for a tough three and a half years, then false salvation, followed by an even worse three and a half years. But then prophesy says things are awesome. But it ain't getting better in a hurry tomorrow though.

How great.. in tears almost.. will be sending that to my “still Zionist” “friends”...

It is so true – factually, in all its details – in its moral analysis and judgment —

yet I fear it is too late... they have chosen to persist in their error.. with rigor... the rigor mortis of their own bodies and the bodies of those who they want to infect their own condition upon..

..to paraphrase a poetic note written by a Jewish artist who I had known since my youth and who desperately but unsuccessfully wanted to "zionise” his soul.. and in the end took his own life..:

Israel-Palestine war: Activists block Boeing facility supplying bombs to Israel

More than 75 young activists obstructed every entry point to Building 598 at Boeing in Missouri on Monday, where production takes place for the bombs and ammunition used by Israel in Gaza.

The manufacturing plant is responsible for supplying almost 1,000 bombs, which include Small Diameter Bombs and Joint Direct Attack Munitions to Israel.

Boeing expedited the shipment of 1,000 precision-guided munitions to Israel as the nation intensified its strikes on Gaza after 7 October, Bloomberg reported on 10 October.

The 250-pound Small Diameter Bombs, which are part of a deal signed in 2021, were transported to Israel aboard Israeli Air Force planes from a US Air Force base, Bloomberg reported.

"We are joining millions of people across the US and around the world in demanding an end to Israel's brutal assault on Gaza and its decades-long occupation of Palestine," said Ellie Tang, an organiser with the anti-war youth organisation Dissenters.

We urge Congress and Biden to hear the calls of millions of us living in this country and push for a ceasefire. Until Congress blocks the bombs, we will."

The Israeli war on Gaza has killed at least 10,000 Palestinians, including at least 4,000 children, since the Hamas-led attacks on Israel on 7 October, which killed 1,400 Israelis, mostly civilians.

The blockage was organised by Dissenters, St Louis Palestine Solidarity Committee, Black Men Build St Louis, the Boeing Arms Genocide Campaign, and Resist St Louis.

The activists are calling for two immediate actions: firstly, for Congress and Biden to demand an immediate halt to hostilities, and secondly, to halt arms sales to Israel.

They are also urging communities to persistently partake in direct action aimed at Boeing and other firms benefiting from Israel's occupation.

"We want Congress to know what it looks like to take brave action. And that we will not wait for their timelines to actualise demands of ceasefire," said Su Mac, an artist and organiser.

"As taxpayers, we all have blood on our hands. Congress must act before they are etched into history books as complicit in a genocide the country called on them to stop. The whole world is watching."
