Alon Pinkas, former Consul General in NY, minces no words in an article in Haaretz

Netanyahu Must Be Politically Destroyed, or Israel Will Go Down With Him

Let's say this is the main strategy--not an international military coalition assisting Gaza, but, exactly this:

Quote Senior Hamas Spokesman Osama Hamdan said on Tuesday that Israel has so far failed to take back its captives held in Gaza by armed Palestinian groups, indicating that Israel has failed in one of its major goals of its assault.

Speaking from Beirut, Hamdan said Israeli forces have carried out 25 "massacres" in Gaza in just the past two days. He added that Israel's military campaign is not only failing to secure the captives but endangering their lives altogether.

Israel started the war against Gaza on October 7 after the territory’s Palestinian resistance movements launched the surprise Operation Al-Aqsa Storm against the occupying entity in response to the regime’s decades-long campaign of bloodletting and devastation against Palestinians.

"Do not try as you will not succeed in freeing the captives alive," Hamdan said, adding, "All you do is endanger their lives," he said.

Hamdan reiterated that there will be “no negotiations” on the exchange of prisoners and captives until Israel halts its war on Gaza.

“Israel’s raid on Jenin on Tuesday is an attempt to break the spirit of resistance in the occupied West Bank,” he said, adding, “Netanyahu will not succeed in achieving his objectives in Gaza, and his fate will end in trial and imprisonment.”

    along with this ambitious idea:

Quote Last week, the head of coordination of Iranian activities to carry out repair work at extraterritorial oil refineries, Ali Shahverdi, said that Iran would begin rebuilding the Homs refinery with a processing capacity of 120,000 barrels.

"We expect to liberate the [oil] fields remaining under occupation in the very near future, return them to the Syrian Ministry of Oil and Mineral Resources and begin their restoration," the minister said on the sidelines of the 12th Arab Energy Conference in Qatar's capital city, Doha.

And we may note the Doha conference has yet again formulated a "resolution of intent" about transitioning off of petroleum, and *no* provisions, i. e. orders or requirements that anyone do any particular thing or not.

🇮🇱🇾🇪Statement issued by the Yemeni Armed Forces

In the name of God, the most gracious, the most merciful
God Almighty said (Those who believe fight in the way of God, and those who disbelieve fight in the way of the tyrant, so fight the friends of Satan. Indeed, the plot of Satan is weak.) God Almighty has spoken the truth.

A victory for the oppression of the Palestinian people, who are currently being subjected to killing, destruction, and siege in the Gaza Strip, and in implementation of the directives of Commander Abdul Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, may God protect him, and in response to the calls of the free people of our great Yemeni people and the people of our nation.
The naval forces of the Yemeni Armed Forces, with the help of God Almighty, carried out a military operation against two container ships MSC Alanya and MSC PALATIUM III. They were heading to the Israeli entity and were targeted by two suitable naval missiles.

The process of targeting the two ships came after their crews refused to respond to calls from the Yemeni naval forces as well as fiery warning messages.

The Yemeni armed forces reassure all ships heading to all ports around the world except Israeli ports that no harm will befall them and that they must keep the dating device open.

The Yemeni armed forces will not hesitate to target any ship that violates what was stated in its previous statements.

The Yemeni armed forces confirm that they continue to prevent all ships heading to Israeli ports from navigating in the Arab and Red Seas until they bring in the food and medicine that our steadfast brothers in the Gaza Strip need.

and Allah sees what i say

Everyone knows there won't be a 'diplomatic deal'. Hezbollah has never negotiated with Israel and never will.

It is becoming increasingly clear that Israel and the US are setting the stage for a wide scale war in Lebanon.

Hezbollah is a far more powerful army than Hamas. Much more numerous and with advanced weapons. If the war with Hamas has been going on for 2 months with heavy losses for the Israeli army, the war with Hezbollah will last for years.

Exclamation Re: Israel vs Palestine/Lebanon/Iran/Yemen/Syria: a New Middle East War

    • Why Oct 7th REALLY happened?
Because Israel ignored every warning and allowed the attack to take place.
Because Netanyahu funded and supported Hamas.
Because Israel could use this attack as an excuse to further its genocide and ethnic cleansing.
Because Gaza has huge gas reserves and the proposed Ben Gurion canal project will ship the gas.
Because the attack makes the planned war with Iran seem inevitable.
Because the forever war machine needs forever wars.

David Cameron to ban ‘extremist’ Israeli settlers from the UK
    (4.14)
“A tipping point” is approaching where the West will stop supporting Israel because of the "dire" situation in Gaza, says Huff’s Post, Kevin Schofield, as the UK foreign secretary slaps a travel ban on "extremist" Israeli settlers."
An interesting development demonstrating that the UK Govt is beginning to veer, at last, from their hard-line stance on Israel.

Israeli media: US-Israeli talks on new prisoner-captive exchange

Israeli media reported on Friday that the US National Security Advisor, Jake Sullivan, held a two-hour meeting with the head of the Mossad, David Barnea, and discussed the possibility of initiating an additional deal related to a new prisoner-captive exchange.

Israeli media quoted a US official as stating that the United States is in discussions with the involved parties regarding various initiatives to revive a new prisoner-captive exchange.

Two days ago, the Saudi Elaph news website revealed that a European capital is hosting secret meetings between an Israeli and a Qatari delegation to discuss a new prisoner-captive exchange deal with Hamas.

Quoting a high-level diplomatic source, the site reported that the Israeli and Qatari delegations are working on formulating a new exchange deal that includes children, women, and men, including three senior officers in the Israeli army who were captured by Hamas.

In return, the source stated that "Israel" will commit to releasing about 300 Palestinian prisoners, including 10 prisoners who have served lengthy sentences, among them Marwan al-Barghouti, a leading figure in the Fatah movement.

    No negotiations before ceasefire

In response to the Elaph news report, Hamas politburo member Osama Hamdan said that the Al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas' military wing, humiliated the Israeli occupation and brought the Israeli occupation closer to its end.

In a press conference held by Hamas in Beirut, Lebanon, regarding the developments of the aggression on Gaza, Hamdan said the occupation's arrest of a group of displaced persons in UNRWA schools was "a crime reminiscent of the Nazis' crimes against the Jews and the violations of the Abu Ghraib prison."

The Hamas top official reiterated the Palestinian people's rejection of all displacement bids in Gaza and the West Bank, emphasizing that "Palestine was and will forever remain for the Palestinians."

"There will be no negotiation for [the release of the Israeli captives] before a ceasefire in Gaza," Hamdan said. "The occupation will not succeed in liberating any living prisoner by force, and their lives will be endangered."

    🇺🇸🇮🇱⚔🇵🇸Israel-Gaza Conflict: December 16 (Recap)

Israeli forces killed Al Jazeera cameraman Samer Abudaqa on Friday in an attack in Gaza’s Khan Younis. Correspondent Wael Dahdouh was also injured in the attack. The pair were covering the aftermath of the bombing of a UN-run school.

Abudaqa was left to bleed out for hours after the attack, with medical teams prevented by Israeli forces from being able to get to him.

Three Israeli captives were killed by the Israeli military in Gaza after they were “mistakenly identified” as threats, leading to protests from family members of captives in Tel Aviv.

The UN humanitarian chief Martin Griffiths has welcomed Israel’s decision to open the Karem Abu Salem (Kerem Shalom) crossing into Gaza.

US wants role for ‘revamped’ Palestinian Authority in Gaza after the war.

At least 18,787 Palestinians killed in Gaza since October 7. In Israel, the revised official death toll stands at about 1,147.

The Israeli occupation forces released on X footage of what appears to be the detaining of some H-am-as fighters, adding that around 70 Resistance members came out of the Kamal Adwan Hospital in #Gaza, "surrendered" themselves, and handed over their weapons.

Yet, this was just another episode in "Israel's" ongoing saga of fabricating evidence.

It was confirmed by the Chairman of the Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor, Ramy Abdu, that two of the detained work at Kamal Adwan Hospital, one of whom is Nasr Emad Al Madhoun, a physician, and another is an unnamed physician.

Abdu also added that the IOF abducted Palestinians from the hospital and forced them to act out the "surrender".

US rebukes 'Israel' over targeting Lebanese army over 30 times: CNN

In the past two months, the Israeli occupation military has frequently targeted the Lebanese army in southern Lebanon, causing concern within the Biden administration and drawing "sharp rebukes" from senior US officials directed at the Israeli leadership, CNN reported.

According to information from US officials, a regional security source, and a compiled list of incidents reviewed by CNN, the Israelis have carried out more than 34 attacks on positions of the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF) since October 7, utilizing small arms, artillery fire, drones, and helicopters.

The news website pointed out that US officials have communicated to "Israel" that these strikes are deemed unacceptable.

It mentioned that the extent of these strikes, not previously disclosed, has been a source of frustration for US officials as they recognize the importance of the LAF's involvement in any potential diplomatic resolution between the Israeli occupation and Lebanon to quell the ongoing escalation.

A spokesperson for the White House’s National Security Council told CNN that "the United States has been clear we do not want to see this conflict spread to Lebanon and we continue to urge the Israelis do all they can to be targeted and avoid civilians, civilian infrastructure, civilian farmland, the UN, and the Lebanese Armed Forces."

CNN indicated that American officials believe that Israeli attacks on the Lebanese army have led to at least eight injuries and one fatality since October 7.

According to a CNN-reviewed US list of the strikes, on December 5, four Israeli tank shells hit a position on the Blue Line (the UN's border demarcation), resulting in the martyrdom of one Lebanese soldier and the injury of three others.

Additional incidents in southern Lebanon include Israeli strikes on two LAF positions on October 21, destroying an observation post. Six days later, an LAF patrol, which included a brigade commander, came under direct Israeli fire, as per US officials. One Lebanese soldier also suffered on December 8 from the effects of white phosphorus dropped by the Israeli occupation forces.

A senior congressional aide was quoted by CNN as saying that the Israeli military's "continued pattern of strikes against LAF positions are concerning and irresponsible," adding that "many members of Congress share the administration’s strong concerns with such actions."

As the frequency of Israeli strikes increased, US administration officials emphasized to the Israeli leadership the necessity of exercising greater caution, as reported by US officials to CNN.[COLOR="red"]

The Intercept reported that Sen. Elizabeth Warren sent a letter to Meta chief executive Mark Zuckerberg calling him to disclose unreleased details about censorship practices against Palestinian content that have “exacerbated violence and failed to combat hate speech."

Meta has been suspending Palestinian news accounts, including QNN's, on Facebook and Instagram, and removing pro-Palestine posts while allowing incitement against Palestinians.

Bled to Death – Israel Kills Al-Jazeera Journalist Samer Abu Daqqa in Gaza

Israeli forces refused to allow the evacuation of the badly wounded Palestinian journalist, leading, six hours later, to his death.

Samer Abu Daqqa, a Palestinian journalist and a cameraman for Al-Jazeera channel in Gaza, was killed on Friday in an Israeli military strike in Khan Yunis, while covering the war in Gaza.

Abu Daqqa was targeted, along with Wael al-Dahdouh, a Palestinian journalist who lost most of his family in a recent Israeli airstrike, which targeted their home in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza.

Other journalists and civil defense workers were also hit when an Israeli missile struck them at the vicinity of the Farhana Girls School in Khan Yunis.

While al-Dahdouh managed to reach the hospital despite his injuries, Abu Daqqa was critically would and could not be evacuated.

As al-Dahdouh was being treated at the Nasser Hospital, he kept screaming “Samer, Samer”, a reference to his colleague Samer Abu Daqqa, whose body remained inside the school.

    Bleeding to Death

Israeli forces refused to allow the evacuation of the badly wounded Palestinian journalist, leading, six hours later, to his death.

Video images published by Al-Jazeera soon after the news show Abu Daqqa’s mother and other family members crowding around his body, frantically screaming his name, as he was lying on the ground after bleeding to death.

A Palestinian medic, with a bloody medical uniform, stood in the midst of the crowd making the call for prayer while many of Abu Daqqa’s colleagues sobbed over his lifeless body.

Three other civil defense workers were reportedly killed in the Israeli strike.

    War on the Media

As of yesterday, the Palestinian Journalists Syndicate said that 89 Palestinian journalists were killed while covering the Israeli genocide in Gaza.

The Palestine Chronicle condoles the Palestinian people and the media community in Gaza for the loss of another precious life.

“Another martyr of the truth has been assassinated by Israel in Gaza,” managing editor of The Palestine Chronicle Romana Rubeo said.

“Israel is doing everything in its power to mute the voice of truth, as it continues to systematically obliterate the Palestinian people in the besieged Strip,” she added.

“But we will never allow this to happen. And we will continue to convey the truth about this monstrous war to the rest of the world. The message of Samer Abu Daqqa, Refaat Alareer and Yousef Dawas will continue to echo and spread across the world, no matter what Israel does to isolate and besiege Palestine and her people”.

Israel’s ‘Criminal Army is Falling Apart’ – Abu Obeida’s Full Statement
Abu Obeida said that the Israeli army hides the true extent of its losses in the Gaza Strip, vowing to defeat the Israeli invaders.

Spokesman for the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Resistance Movement Hamas, issued a new statement today, Friday.

The statement coincided with two videos, produced by the Brigade’s Military Media, showing a large number of Israeli military tanks being targeted by Palestinian Resistance missiles in various parts of Gaza.

Abu Obeida warned the Israeli army of a certain defeat, commended Palestinians on their resistance and vowed to inflict even heavier damage on invading Israeli forces in Gaza.

Below are excerpts of Abu Obeida’s recorded statement as communicated by the group’s Telegram channel.

    Historical Battles

“It’s been 70 days since the beginning of Al-Aqsa Flood battle, and our people are still fighting this battle, facing this unprecedented criminal war in modern times.

“Our brave fighters are fighting a heavily armed force equipped with lethal weapons, ammunition, supported by planes, warships, and armored vehicles, under the cover of forces of oppression and aggression, led by the American administration, which is airlifting support to this entity as if it were fighting a great power among the world’s poles.

“Yet, our fighters are heroically fighting historical battles with light and pride. The whole world sees how our fighters destroy and burn the enemy’s armored vehicles, killing the invading soldiers inside them.

“The world also sees that the enemy pours fire (burns through bombardment – PC) on innocent, secure civilians, including children, women, and elders, indulging in destruction and attempts of displacement, starvation, and torture in clear and evident war crimes that do not require investigation or scrutiny.

Abu Obeida, the military spokesman of the Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of the Palestinian Resistance movement Hamas, announced in a speech on Friday that Palestinian fighters destroyed 100 Israeli military vehicles in the last five days. pic.twitter.com/zBwL2seFDc

    — The Palestine Chronicle (@PalestineChron) December 15, 2023

    Five Days – 100 Vehicles

“Over the last five days, our fighters have targeted more than 100 military vehicles in the Zionist aggression’s axes in Jabalia, Al-Shuja’iyya, Sheikh Radwan, Al-Zaytoun, the central region, and in Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip.

“Over the past five days, our fighters have carried out a large number of precise ambushes against the enemy’s infantry forces in Jabalia, Sheikh Radwan, central Al-Shuja’iyya, and Khan Younis.

“These included luring enemy forces into buildings our fighters had identified as accessible to the enemy, then detonating anti-personnel devices and attacking these forces with machine guns at close range. In several operations, anti-fortification shells were used directly over the heads of the occupation soldiers.

“During these operations, our fighters inflicted a large number of deaths and injuries on the enemy forces. Our fighters continuously observe the enemy soldiers’ screams and pleas for help after each operation and their hysterical reaction of firing bullets and shells aimlessly at everything to cover up their state of terror and to retrieve the bodies of the dead and wounded.

“We also monitor around the clock the rescue attempts using vehicles and helicopters across the separating fence. Our fighters increasingly believe that the enemy is using mercenaries in its operation, which it claims to be a war of existence and national dignity.”

    Fingers on the Trigger

“O our great people, our nation, and the free people of the world, we in the Al-Qassam Brigades, after 70 days of battles, fighting, and aggression, affirm that our brave fighters, from the heroes of the Jabalia, Beit Lahia, Beit Hanoun, Gaza, Sheikh Radwan, all the way to the heroes of Khan Younis and Rafah, still have their fingers on the trigger.

“We see that it is the enemy’s criminal army and its barbaric aggression that is falling apart, not our brigades. What the enemy deludes itself with will soon be discovered as nothing but a mirage and a great illusion, by the will and power of Allah.

“The engagement of our fighters with the enemy forces has exposed how weak and cowardly their army is. They know nothing of morals and rely not on their fighters, but on technology and silent tools. When the moment of truth and confrontation comes, they flee, scream, and plead like children, easily hunted down by our fighters, showing no resistance when stormed.

“And it confirms the saying of the Almighty: ‘They will not fight you all except within fortified cities or from behind walls.’”

In a just-released video, Al-Qassam Brigades fighters are seen targeting a gathering of Israeli soldiers east of Khan Younis with heavy mortar shells, reportedly achieving confirmed casualties among their ranks. pic.twitter.com/06zI8A3j46
    Israeli Deception

“The official figures of the dead and injured announced by the enemy’s army are undoubtedly untrue. The testimonies, observations, and accounts of our fighters in killing and liquidating the enemy’s infantry soldiers document many times the number announced by the enemy, not to mention those killed and injured in the destruction or disabling of vehicles.

“Lying about the number of deaths and injuries is expected from the enemy, as their entire war is based on lies and deception to the world, their public, and their soldiers. However, the truth will inevitably emerge, no matter how much the enemy tries to hide it.

“The public stances of the enemy and the facts on the ground from their crimes in the West Bank every day confirm that this occupation aims to target, displace, and kill our people in all their places of residence, to satisfy the desires of the criminal settlers who govern the entity today.

“The second duty for all components of our people, their fighters, and their masses, is to rise up, revolt, and confront the occupation with all forms of resistance, igniting flames under the feet of the enemy’s soldiers and the usurpers across the entire West Bank, in response to this dangerous plan of the enemy.”

In a just-released video, Al-Qassam Brigades fighters are seen targeting Israeli vehicles and soldiers penetrating the areas of the city of Khan Younis, south of the Gaza Strip.

    Language of Force

“We once again call upon all the free people of our nation and its fighters to escalate their field actions against the enemy from every front. This enemy only understands the language of force and only kneels under fire.

“In conclusion, our people, our great nation, your resistance today, and your fighting sons are delivering significant blows to this enemy every day and every hour.

“The enemy, who sought to achieve an easy, quick, and comfortable victory by killing innocents and civilians and through random criminal destruction, now stands incapacitated, confused, and perplexed by the strikes of your fighters and your legendary steadfastness.”
