Barry Young, 56, appeared in the Wellington District Court today to a standing ovation from a full public gallery.

The data allegedly taken by Young rapidly garnered both local and international attention over the weekend, after initially being shared by conspiracy theorist and former political candidate Liz Gunn.
After a police complaint from Te Whatu Ora, Young was arrested yesterday and charged with dishonestly accessing a computer.

Cardinal Angelo Becciu, aged 75, has been sentenced to 5.5 years in the Vatican's landmark trial.

Pro-government coalition won parliamentary elections in Serbia

According to the currently published preliminary results of the parliamentary elections, the coalition “Aleksandar Vučić - Serbia does not dare to stop,” where the main political force is the Serbian Progressive Party, won 46.74% (1,703,308 votes).

The opposition list “Serbia against violence” received 23.53% or 857,641 votes, the coalition “Ivica Dacic - Prime Minister of Serbia” - 6.56% or 239,250 votes.

NADA received 5.03% or 183.439 votes, and “We are the voice of the people, Professor Branimir Nestorovic” received 4.69% or 170.813 votes.

The remaining parties were unable to overcome the 3% barrier required to enter parliament.

The Dveri/Zavetnica association had 2.78% or 101,337 votes, and the result of the Serbian Radical Party was 1.47% or 53,434 votes.

The coalition formed by the country's president is also leading in the municipal elections in Belgrade.

There are a total of 250 parliamentary seats in the Serbian Parliament; they will go to parties and associations that pass the threshold, as well as representatives of national minorities.

It's worth noting that the Labour MP indicated Labour's willingness to agree all of the amendments if Labour should win the next election.

There have only been reservations recorded from Estonia, New Zealand and Slovakia. That's reservations, not objections. If these amendments go through then basic human rights, such as they are, will be all but gone, signed away by our treacherous governments.

To some extent I agree with you, Mike, although there should be SOME kick-back from the public, surely; we shouldn’t just sit waiting for the axe to fall? I was one of the millions who marched against the war in Iraq and although it made not a blind bit of difference feel I did what I could, which was to object.

As far as the World Health Organisation’s bid for complete and total world authority is concerned, the petition itself was raised by the signatures of 160,000 people in the UK, a few of whom sat in the Public Gallery. If the target hadn’t been reached then the issue would not have been debated.

In my view, the majority of the public are completely unaware of what’s being decided for them behind closed doors, including the majority of members here on PA, but that’s how our governments like to pass these new laws.

As indicated, there was a poor turnout of MPs. The few Conservative MPs who WERE present, however, were largely concerned about the threat to our individual sovereignty and also that of the UK as a whole, that an unelected body shouldn’t have the right of authority over us. Three presentations are given in the three videos above in the order they appeared. However, the Labour MP for Birmingham (Preet Kaur Gill) didn’t agree with their views. She said the threat wasn’t over and wouldn’t be pressed as to whether Labour would object to these amendments if they got in at the next election. As you know, Labour are currently thought to storm the next General Election c. January 2025.

The current UK Minister for Health & Secondary Care, Andrew Stephenson, was asked who was/would be tasked with negotiating the amendments and unsurprisingly it will be tasked to the civil servants, another unelected body – and a static body to boot: The same civil servants do all the grunt work regardless of the elected party while the MPs are just the mouthpieces. And it’s becoming more obvious that the Blob are a law unto themselves; if they don’t agree with the Govt they just don’t do the work. Given the lash-up top civil servant, Oliver Robbins, made of Brexit, what could possibly go wrong??

Here then are just some of the amendments proposed by WHO as outlined by Andrew Bridgen. The complete transcript can be read here:

The IHR set recommendations under a treaty process that currently has force under international law. Those recommendations seek to provide the WHO with some moral authority to co-ordinate and lead responses when an international health emergency occurs, such as the pandemic. Most are non-binding, and those regulations contain very specific examples of measures that the WHO can currently recommend. That includes article 18, under which it can

“require medical examinations; review proof of vaccination or other prophylaxis; require vaccination or other prophylaxis; place suspect persons under public health observation; implement quarantine or other health measures for suspect persons; implement isolation and treatment where necessary of affected persons; implement tracing of contacts of suspect or affected persons; refuse entry of suspect and affected persons; refuse entry of unaffected persons to affected areas; and implement exit screening and/or restrictions on persons from affected areas.”

“Member States” will“undertake to follow WHO’s recommendations” and recognise WHO not as an organisation under the control of countries, but as the “co-ordinating authority”.

New article 13A states: “States Parties recognize WHO as the guidance and coordinating authority of international public health response during public health Emergency of International Concern and undertake to follow WHO’s recommendations in their international public health response.”
These include multiple actions directly restricting individual liberty. If the transfer of decision-making power—sovereignty—is not intended here, then the current status of the IHR as “recommendations” could remain and countries would not be undertaking to follow the WHO’s requirements.

Thirdly, under article 42, “State Parties” undertake to enact what previously were merely recommendations, without delay, including requirements of WHO regarding non-state entities under their jurisdiction. Article 42 states:

“Health measures taken pursuant to these Regulations, including the recommendations made under Article 15 and 16, shall be initiated and completed without delay by all State Parties, and applied in a transparent, equitable and non-discriminatory manner. State Parties shall also take measures to ensure Non-State Actors operating in their respective territories comply with such measures.”

“Non-State Actors” means private businesses, charities, and individuals. In other words, everyone and everything comes under the control of the WHO, once the director general declares a public health emergency of international concern.

Articles 15 and 16 mentioned here allow the WHO to require a state to provide resources, “health products, technologies and knowhow” and to allow the WHO to deploy “personnel” into the country—that is, it will have control over entry across national borders for whoever it chooses. The WHO also repeats the requirement for the country to require the implementation of “medical countermeasures”—testing, vaccines, quarantine—on their population where the WHO demands it.

All of the public health measures in article 18, and additional ones such as limiting freedom of speech to reduce public exposure to alternative viewpoints—as annex 1, new article 5(e) says, “Counter misinformation and disinformation”—clash directly with the UDHR. Although freedom of speech is currently exclusively for national authorities to decide, and its restriction is generally seen as being negative and abusive, United Nations institutions including the WHO have been advocating for censoring unofficial views in order to protect the people from what they call “information integrity”.

Andrew Bridgen added that it seems outrageous, from a human rights perspective, that the amendments will allow the WHO to dictate to countries to require individual medical examinations and vaccinations whenever it declares a pandemic. While the Nuremberg code and the declaration of Helsinki refer specifically to human experimentation in cases such as clinical trials and vaccines, and the universal declaration on bioethics and human rights refers specifically to the provider-patient relationship, they can reasonably be extended to public health measures that impose restrictions or changes to human behaviour and specifically to any measures requiring injection, medication or medical examination, which involve a direct provider-person interaction.

We should at least write to our MPs and protest at the threat to our personal sovereignty and resist this all we can.

Update(1105ET): Emerging news wire statements citing Prague emergency response services cite a much larger than expected death toll. Initially, vague police reports said several were dead and wounded, but there may have been at least 11 killed, including the gunman, and nine more seriously wounded. This means twenty or more people were struck by bullets, from a shooter who appeared to have taken up position sniper-style on a high rooftop:

Police say the shooter has been killed, but likely there are still bystanders holed up in buildings:

An email sent to staff and students at the Faculty of Arts of Charles University, seen by Reuters, had said a shooter was in one of its buildings and had told staff to "stay put".

"Don't go anywhere, if you're in the offices, lock them and place furniture in front of the door, turn off the lights," the email said. One X user posted a photo of a group of students, hiding crouched on a ledge of the building.

Currently, reports are circulating that the alleged shooter has been identified David Kozak - which also say he died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Multiple fatalities are being reported in an active situation amid a mass shooting in Prague, Czech Republic. Bystanders have been observed fleeing the grounds of Charles University's Faculty of Arts in Prague as a huge police response ensues.

One unverified report describes the developing scene as follows: "Prague According to media reports, the attacker used a long-barreled weapon with optics. There are reports of casualties and injuries. At the moment, the entire Jan Palach Square and the surrounding area are completely closed off."

A police statement has confirmed that several are dead and wounded at the scene, and police soon after have announced that the Prague shooter has been "eliminated".

The below bridge which people are fleeing across, the Charles Bridge (aka Karluv Most), is among the most popular central tourist attractions in Prague.

The shooter with a rifle may have been on a roof of one of the university buildings, a newly emerged (but unverified) photo suggests.

According to the Associated Press:

Czech Interior Minister Vit Rakusan told Czech public television the person who opened fire was dead.

Rakusan said there’s no other shooter at the scene and there’s no imminent further danger, but he urged people to cooperate with police.
