This is extraordinary. Ukraine's former ambassador to Germany (now ambassador to Brazil), famous in Germany for his vehement demands for weapon deliveries, now says "no one in Ukraine wants to fight this war to the last soldier", lambasts the complete absence of any diplomatic efforts and calls for a solution similar to the Minsk-agreement.

However he obviously fails to understand the lesson from the failed Minsk agreement, because he presents the agreement's virtue as having given Ukraine "seven years to become stronger - strong enough to be able to better fend off Russia's current large-scale aggression. There should have been more preventative rearmament. But unfortunately that didn't happen, it's over. The lessons remain."

That's actually the whole reason why Minsk 2 failed: because the Ukrainian side, together with France and Germany as guarantors, signed the agreement in bad faith, as a way to buy time for Ukraine to build up its army, pump the country with weapons, make it a de-facto (not de-jure) member of NATO and all the while ignoring Ukraine's gross violations of the agreement with regards its commitment to grant the Russian-speaking regions in eastern Ukraine a constitutionally-protected autonomous status. Both Merkel and François Hollande have publicly essentially admitted to this, with Merkel literally saying that the Minsk agreements had been an attempt to "give Ukraine time" to build up its defenses, even though the spirit of the agreement was to bring about a permanent end to the conflict.

So not quite clear what the ambassador has in mind here: implementing another duplicitous Minsk-like agreement so Ukraine can rebuild an army and fight another round in a few years? If so that's delusional, why would Russia agree to that? He's entirely right that the war should end and diplomacy is badly needed, but the purpose - the only worthy purpose - should be permanent peace, not another war... That's the real lesson from Minsk: all parties should be serious about peace, they weren't before and we got war...

Kiev’s Terrorist Attack Thwarted: Georgia Intercepted Cargo Of Explosives Sent From Ukraine To Russia 05.02.2024



The terrorist Kiev regime continue attempts to launch attacks on the territory of the Russian Federation. On February 5, the State Security Service of Georgia reported that a large shipment of explosives was discovered and detained in the country. The cargo was heading from Ukraine to Russia for massive terrorist attacks.

According to the official report by the Georgian law enforcement forces, the cargo was sent from the Ukrainian city of Odessa to the Russian city of Voronezh. It was heading from the Ukrainian territory through Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey and Georgia to Russia for the purpose of a terrorist attack.

The cargo consisted of batteries for electric vehicles, which were disguised to hide large amount of 14 kg of explosive. The inspection revealed that there were explosive devices filled with C-4 explosive.

A container with an explosive substance with a total weight of 14 kg, as well as 6 detonators and 6 special keys, were discovered in a car driven by a citizen of Ukraine.

Three bombs were seized on the border of Russia and Georgia, and three more were “hidden in Tbilisi at a specific address.”

Citizens of Georgia, Ukraine, and Armenia were involved in transporting explosives through Georgia to the Russian Federation. It is possible that some of them were not aware of the cargo they carried and were used by the organizers of the thwarted terrorist attacks.

The investigation launched by the Georgian State Security Service identified the sender of the dangerous cargo, a deputy from the ruling Zelensky’s Servant Of The People party, Andrei Sharashidze. Born in Georgia, the man attempted to build a political career in Ukrainian city of Odessa.

According to Georgian security officials, explosions were supposed to take place in Russia at “symbolic and crowded” transport facilities (most likely in the subway, public transport, on the Crimean Bridge, in shopping malls, etc.). According to the Ukrainian plan, Russian special services had to find a “Georgian trace” and blame Georgia for the terrorist attacks.

The terrorist Kiev regime attempted to use the plan similar to the attack on the Crimean Bridge on October 8, 2022. LINK The transfer of dangerous cargos across the Georgian territory is also aimed to lure Tbilisi into the war.

Ukrainian political officials are not hiding that they are taking part in organisation of terrorist operations, coordinated by Ukrainian special services, the terrorist attacks on civilians in the Donbass and other Russian regions do not stop. Meanwhile, NATO countries continue to manipulate the public opinion, assuring their population that they have to support the ‘victim’ Kiev, not a terrorist. Moreover, the NATO member states support Kiev’s terrorist attacks.

Surprisingly, security forces in Romania, Bulgaria and Turkey did not discover the explosives in the car which successfully passed a large part of its route to Russia.

Death toll from Ukraine’s strike on Lisichansk up to 28

The Russian Emergencies Ministry have rescued 10 people

MOSCOW, February 4. /TASS/. The number of fatalities following the Ukrainian strike on Lisichansk has climbed to 28 people, the press service of the Russian Emergencies Ministry told TASS.

"Operatives from the Russian Emergencies Ministry have rescued 10 people. Unfortunately, 28 people, including one child, died," it said in a statement.

The agency noted that the search-and-rescue operation at the collapsed bakery in Lisichansk in the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) was underway. "About 65% of destroyed construction elements have been pulled out," the press service added.

Ukrainian troops delivered a strike on a bakery in Lisichansk on Saturday afternoon. Work on removing the rubble continued overnight.

MOSCOW, February 3. /TASS/. Kiev’s terrorist attack on Lisichansk’s residential areas was, according to preliminary reports, conducted with the weapons provided by Western countries, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said in a statement, posted on the ministry’s website.

"According to preliminary information, the strike was carried out with Western weapons," she said. "Another terrorist attack is a ‘thank you’ from Kiev extremists for the ‘generous’ financial support by the European Union countries."

Zakharova pointed out that EU citizens must know what their taxes are used for, as "they are used for purchasing lethal weapons systems and for sending them to the Kiev regime that uses them to kill civilians."

"This (the strike on Lisichansk - TASS) is new proof of the criminal nature of the Kiev regime, its kingpins on Bankovaya (a street in Kiev that houses Ukraine’s government institutions - TASS) and the fact that the Ukrainian armed forces, as Russian President Vladimir Putin indicated, have completely evolved into a terrorist organization," the diplomat said.

The Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman said that Russia "will notify international organizations of another terrorism act committed by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky’s gang."

"We expect the concerned international organizations to promptly and unequivocally condemn the crime committed by the Kiev militants," she added.

The Ukrainian armed forces conducted a strike on Lisichansk’s bakery on Saturday afternoon. Twenty people were killed and ten more were wounded. It was reported that up to 40 civilians might have been under the rubble.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) - Russia is looking forward to Sweden announcing the verdicts and decisions on the Nord Stream pipelines explosions, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Tuesday.

"Of course, we are waiting with interest for any verdicts and decisions that will be made," Peskov said, answering the question whether Russia had received any data on the investigation.
The Swedish prosecutor's office said on Monday that by the end of this week it will decide whether to close the investigation or bring charges in the case of the Nord Stream sabotage. Earlier, the Russian Embassy in Stockholm said that Sweden has failed to identify the perpetrators of the attacks on the Nord Stream gas pipelines over the past year, which has demonstrated the incompetence of the Swedish authorities.



The Nord Stream pipelines, built to deliver gas under the Baltic Sea from Russia to Germany, were hit by explosions in September 2022. Nord Stream AG said that the damage was unprecedented and it was impossible to estimate the timeframe for repairs. Sweden, as well as Denmark, Germany and Norway, launched investigations into the explosions but left Russia out of their probes, prompting Moscow to launch its own investigation. Russian officials have characterized the attacks as international terrorism.
So far, no official results of the investigations have been announced, but Pulitzer Prize-winning US investigative journalist Seymour Hersh published a report in February 2023 saying the explosions were organized by the US government with the assistance of authorities in Norway. Washington has denied any involvement in the attack.
During his joint "Direct Line" Q&A session and annual press conference on December 14, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the Nord Stream pipelines were likely blown up by the United States.

How NATO brainwashes Western society with its anti-Russia wargames

Steadfast Defender 2024, the bloc’s largest exercise in decades, is not only about military cohesion – it’s about selling war to the people

NATO has launched its largest exercise since the Cold War ended. Steadfast Defender 2024 will last several months and involve about 90,000 troops, over 50 naval vessels, 1,100 ground vehicles (including at least 133 tanks and 533 armored troop carriers), and 80 aircraft of various kinds (planes, helicopters, and drones).

All 31 alliance members will participate, as will Sweden, which is in the process of joining. However, it’s not only a matter of numbers and duration. The massive event is also special for two more reasons, one fairly straightforward, the other more complicated and worthy of serious scrutiny.

In simple terms, the exercise will test regional defense plans, which NATO has not done since the end of the Cold War. A political benefit of returning to such detailed plans is that they provide leverage, in essence to Washington through NATO’s SACEUR office, to make European governments toe the line by committing troops, gear, and money. That is what The Economist pointed out, with satisfaction, at the time of last year’s Vilnius summit, when all of this was set in motion. Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko’s observation is correct: The maneuver marks an “irrevocable return” of the alliance to Cold War mode, although, this, too, is only a new peak of a long period of aggressive development. Hence its no surprise either that the enemy targeted in this imaginary fight is Russia (even if appearing only as a “near-peer adversary” in Steadfast Defender’s official announcement).

UK bypassing own ban on Russian oil – study 6 Feb, 2024

Britain has bought over $700 million worth of petroleum products derived from sanctioned oil since 2022, a report has found

The UK has been bypassing its own ban on Russian oil by using a “refinery loophole” to import millions of barrels of the sanctioned commodity in the form of fuels processed in third countries, the BBC reported on Monday, citing two separate studies.

A recent investigation by the Centre for Research on Energy and Clean Air (CREA) claimed that India and China, which have become the top buyers of Russian oil after the West banned it, are refining sanctioned crude into jet fuel and diesel and then re-selling it to countries across the world, including the UK.

Re-exporting processed oil is not illegal and does not breach the UK’s ban on Russian oil due to internationally recognized “rules of origin,” which define the country where crude was processed into fuel for commercial purposes as the country of origin.

However, the “refining loophole” comes in contrast to London’s claims that there have been no imports of Russian oil since 2022.

“The issue with this loophole is that it increases the demand for Russian crude and enables higher sales in terms of volume and pushing up their price as well,” Isaac Levi, head of CREA’s Europe-Russia policy and energy analysis, commented.

A separate research by campaign group Global Witness revealed that some 5.2 million barrels of refined petroleum products made of Russian oil were imported by the UK last year. Most of that volume, or about 4.6 million barrels, arrived in the form of jet fuel and was used in one in 20 UK flights.

Meanwhile, CREA estimated that in the twelve months since Western restrictions on Russian oil took effect in 2022, the UK imported some £569 million ($712.5 million) worth of oil products derived from sanctioned crude.
