In particular, at 15:00 in the interview: South Dakota governor Christy Noem, who is close to Donald Trump, and possible VP for Trump. Noem has recently initiated a law to criminalize ‘anti-semitism’, that will consider criticism of Israel as ‘anti-semitic’. Ron DeSantis has done the same thing for Florida.
Essentially they are criminalizing Americans who would criticise Israel and its policies.
This would be a total contradiction of the Constitution's first amendment with regards to free speech.

Israel's prime minister insists civilians will be allowed to leave before his country's military moves to "eliminate the remaining terrorist battalions in Rafah".

A defiant Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed to press ahead with a long-expected assault on the southern Gaza city of Rafah, despite international criticism.

The Israeli prime minister was speaking on Sunday following a meeting with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz as he reiterated his promise to "eliminate the remaining terrorist battalions in Rafah".

But he also said this promise "goes hand in hand with enabling the civilian population to leave", although he gave no details as to where they could go.

"It's not something we will do while keeping the population locked in place," he said of the planned assault.

"In fact, we'll do the very opposite - we will enable them to leave because our consideration for reducing and minimising civilian casualties has guided us and will continue to guide us in future."

Israel's military offensive in Gaza was launched in the wake of Hamas's 7 October attack, when the militant group killed 1,200 people and abducted more than 250, some of whom are still hostages.

As the conflict approaches the end of its sixth month and with little progress in ceasefire talks, the number of Palestinians killed has passed 31,000, according to the Hamas-run Gaza health ministry, although those figures do not distinguish between civilians and combatants.

Israel's offensive has driven most of Gaza's 2.3 million people from their homes, more than one million of them sheltering in Rafah.

A quarter of the population is starving, according to the UN, with aid organisations struggling to get food through due to Israeli restrictions and security concerns.

In desperation, a small group of countries has resorted to dropping aid from the air and deliveries have finally been going by sea - but neither of these makes up for the capacity that should be brought in by road.

Commenting on the possibility of an offensive on Rafah, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el Sissi said it would have "grave repercussions on the whole region".

And Mr Scholz, after his Sunday meeting with Mr Netanyahu, warned: "The more desperate the situation of people in Gaza becomes, the more this begs the question: No matter how important the goal, can it justify such terribly high costs, or are there other ways to achieve your goal?"

Even some in the US, Israel's staunchest ally, have been losing patience with Mr Netanyahu.

US Senate majority leader Chuck Schumer, the highest-ranking Jewish official in America and a strong Israel supporter, said Israel should hold a new election, saying Mr Netanyahu had "lost his way".

The Israeli PM said the comments were "wholly inappropriate", adding that his country was "not a banana republic", but US President Joe Biden described Mr Schumer's words as a "good speech".

On Sunday, Mr Netanyahu insisted: "Hamas has to be eliminated.

"We cannot have a future for Gaza, a future for peace, a future for Israel, if Hamas - a terrorist organisation committed to our genocide - remains in tact."

The complete cessation of factory operations led to most factory workers (about 60 people), locals of the area, to collectively lose their jobs...

That represents a major company??

I mean, I can certainly believe that most facilities like this are going to tank, and they won't be back. But for something with 60+ years of operation in multiple fields, that sure sounds tiny. Around here we can easily get sixty illegal immigrants to make "Made in America" AR-15s, ICE bust them about once a year, and get a free refill of new immigrants. That only represents one brand. Hard to imagine anything of that size being truly significant, but ok.

The only reason I might argue against that is the presumption it was against their will and they had to be coerced.

Yemeni Armed Forces announced on Tuesday a new strike on a US ship in the Red Sea, and a missile strike on the Zionist entity’s Umm Al-Rashrash (Eilat).

Syrian air defenses successfully shot down hostile targets in the vicinity of Yabroud in the Damascus countryside early Tuesday. The attack, confirmed by a Syrian military source, was carried out by Israeli occupation forces from the occupied Syrian Golan Heights, targeting various military points.

The swift response from Syrian air defense systems managed to intercept several Israeli missiles, downing a number of them. There were no reported human casualties, with losses limited to material damages.

Declaring that they would rather die than enlist in the Israeli occupation army, Haredi demonstrators blocked a light rail in occupied Al-Quds and scuffled with occupation police on Monday night.

Israeli media reported that dozens of ultra-Orthodox men block the tracks of the light rail in protest against their planned conscription into the occupation army.

“If you go to the army, you and dogs are equal,” they chant, riffing off of enlistment advocates’ call for “equality of the burden” between Haredi and secular Israelis.

Israeli media reported that a driver ran over an ultra-Orthodox protester who was blocking the road during the protest.

The occupation police said several of the demonstrators were also arrested for damaging vehicles. They also called police officers “Nazis” and told them to “go die in Gaza,” according to Israeli media.

The demonstrators belong to the Jerusalem Faction, an extremist Haredi group numbering some 60,000 members. Considered among the most conservative of Haredi factions, its members regularly demonstrate against the enlistment of yeshiva students.

Last month, members of the group blocked a route near the Haredi city of Bnei Brak while others blocked a light rail route in the nearby city of Petah Tikva.

Haredi men of military age have been able to avoid the draft for decades by enrolling for study in yeshivas and obtaining repeated one-year service deferrals until they reach the age of military exemption.

A law that authorizes this exemption expired in June 2023, and a temporary regulation to extend it is set to expire at the end of March, after which the military will not be authorized to exempt Haredi young men from the draft and will need to start enlisting them amid the war in Gaza.
