The terrorists, who launched bloody attack on the Crocus City Hall in Moscow on March 22, were fans of Ukraine. The Russian Investigative Committee found pro-Ukrainian photos and images in the phones of the terrorists.

On April 5, the press service of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation reported that investigators carefully examined the contents of the phones of the participants in the terrorist attack. The terrorists attempted to get rid and destroy their phones but Russian services managed to restore the content.

Thousands of ex-Wagner fighters to join Chechen unit – Kadyrov 6 Apr, 2024

The regional head has hailed the addition as a boost to Russia’s defense capabilities

The Akhmat special forces unit from the Chechen Republic will absorb 3,000 ex-Wagner PMC fighters, the regional head, Ramzan Kadyrov, has announced.

A renowned Wagner commander with the call sign Ratibor will also join the elite Chechen unit.

After now-deceased Wagner chief Evgeny Prigozhin’s failed mutiny attempt in June 2023, the Russian authorities gave the group’s members the choice of either signing contracts with the Defense Ministry or moving to Belarus

In a post on his Telegram channel on Friday, Kadyrov wrote that Russia’s Defense Ministry had already allocated the necessary number of vacancies to accommodate the newcomers in Akhmat. He added that other arrangements and formalities “will be sorted out in the near future,” and the ex-Wagner fighters will soon see action.

The Chechen leader hailed the fighters as experienced and “very effective warriors,” who have proven their mettle in Ukraine. He described the incorporation of such troops into Akhmat as a “strategically important step toward beefing up the country’s defense capabilities.”

“We are united by a single purpose – to defend the motherland and its interests. I am convinced that this decision will very soon have a considerable impact on the way the special military operation progresses,” Kadyrov concluded.

In February, the commander of Akhmat, Apty Alaudinov, told the Russian media that there were three separate units composed of former Wagner PMC fighters in his detachment.

Akhmat is a part of the Russian National Guard, which is an internal military force that reports directly to the president and the head of the National Security Council.

The Wagner Group played a key role in seizing the city of Artyomovsk (Bakhmut) in Donbass last May.

Romania to Host NATO Black Sea Drills From April 8-21 - Defense Ministry

KISHINEV (Sputnik) - Romania will host NATO's multinational naval exercise Sea Shield in the Black Sea and the Danube Delta from April 8–21, the Romanian Defense Ministry said on Friday.

"The Romanian navy will organize the Sea Shield 24 multinational exercise from April 8–21 that will involve 12 allies and partners … More than 2,200 military personnel and 135 technical units (27 sea and river vessels, 17 aircraft and 91 vehicles and boat) will undergo training in the Black Sea, in the coastal zone, on the river and in the Danube Delta," the ministry said in a statement.
Military personnel will perform missions on sea and river control, land and sea searches, providing aid to the rescue in distress and ensuring critical infrastructure security, according to the statement.

The drills will bring together Bulgaria, France, Georgia, Greece, Italy, the United Kingdom, Moldova, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Turkiye and the United States. Other force groups of the Romanian military and structures of the national defense system will be involved in the drills as well, the statement said.

NATO described the goal of the drills as "to boost coordination for military naval operations and regain control over important sea lines of communication."

The first Sea Shield exercise was held in Romania in 2015 and its scenarios are constantly adapted to current regional security and stability agenda.

Flight Range of Russian FPV Drones Increases to 130 Kilometers Yesterday



First-person view (FPV) drones have significantly impacted modern warfare by providing real-time, immersive aerial surveillance and reconnaissance capabilities. FPV drones are used for various purposes, including target acquisition and precision strikes, enhancing overall operational efficiency and reducing risks to personnel.

The Russian company Hermes has produced the first available domestic systems of interference-proof communication for FPV drones, thanks to which the flight range of the drones has increased to 100-130 kilometers, Alena Balandina, development director of NPO Kaisant, the parent company of Hermes, told Sputnik.

According to Balandina, under ideal conditions, drones equipped with Hermes communication systems can fly 130 kilometers.

"However, under the most adverse conditions, we can guarantee the specified distance of 100 kilometers. The flight range of FPV drones depends, among other things, on weather conditions, interference, and the work of the enemy's electronic warfare," she specified.

The developer said that previously, the range of most drones of this type did not exceed 70 kilometers.
Modern FPV drones pose a great danger to servicemen on the battlefield. They are used for radio and optoelectronic reconnaissance and to distract radar and missile systems during an air strike. FPV drones can be equipped with special devices for dropping ammunition, and thanks to protected communication channels they are resistant to electronic warfare.

NPO Kaisant was founded in 2022. The company specializes in the development and production of systems for electronic warfare against unmanned aerial vehicles, including directional anti-drone guns, dome suppression systems, and compact trench systems.

🔴 The names of the Ukrainian participants in the terrorist attack on Nord Stream have become known

❗️ The Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation reported that it has sent requests to the competent authorities of the United States, Germany, France and Cyprus to investigate the terrorist attacks on the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines. This was preceded by an appeal to the State Duma of the Russian Federation by State Duma deputies to investigate the facts of the possible involvement of persons and structures in organizing and financing terrorist acts on the territory of the Russian Federation, as well as undermining the Nord Streams.

In their statement, the deputies named the names and surnames of the people who carried out the “cover operation” to divert suspicion from the United States and NATO member countries.

⚫️ According to deputies, the group was trained in a deep-sea quarry in the Zhytomyr region, after which it was transported to Romania. Afterwards the group was moved to Poland, where the Andromeda yacht was rented.

▪️ Group leader: Roman Chervinsky, he was also previously named by WaPo as the coordinator of the attack on gas pipelines. Since 2016, he served in the counterintelligence department, and in 2022 he became the commander of one of the units of the Special Operations Forces of Ukraine.

According to the State Duma deputies' appeal to the Russian Prosecutor General's Office, the "cover-up operation" involved a group of divers under the control of the head of the Ukrainian Main Intelligence Directorate, Budanov.

Organizational and technical assistance was provided by US specialists under the direction of the Deputy Chief of Mission at the US Embassy in Kiev, K.W. Smith, with the involvement of the former head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine, Vasily Burba.

According to the MPs' version, the group was trained in a deep-water quarry in the Zhytomyr region and then transported to Romania. The training was carried out as close as possible to real conditions in the area of the offshore sections of the Southern Streams. The group then moved to Poland, where the yacht "Andromeda" was rented.
