The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue the special military operation.

▫️The Zapad Group of Forces' units captured more advantageous lines and inflicted losses on manpower and hardware of the AFU 12th Azov Special Forces Brigades, 10th mountain assault, 57th, 63rd mechanized brigades near Sinkovka, Petropavlovka (Kharkov region), Grigorovka (Donetsk People's Republic) and Chervonaya Dibrova (Lugansk People's Republic).

Three counter-attacks launched by units of the AFU 77th Airmobile Brigade were repelled close to Novosyolovskoye (Lugansk People's Republic).

The AFU losses amounted to up to 270 Ukrainian troops, one armored personnel carrier, eight motor vehicles, one U.S.-made M198 howitzer, one 152-mm Msta-B howitzer, one 152-mm D-20 gun, one 122-mm Gvozdika self-propelled artillery system, and one 130-mm M-46 gun.

▫️The Yug Group of Forces' units improved the situation along the front line and inflicted fire damage on manpower and hardware of AFU 93rd mechanized and 80th air assault brigades near Kleshcheyevka, Andreyevka, and Krasnogorovka (Donetsk People's Republic).

Four counter-attacks of the AFU 92nd Assault Brigade were repelled close to Chasov Yar (Donetsk People's Republic).

The enemy losses were up to 360 servicemen, two armored fighting vehicles, and 17 motor vehicles.

In the course of the counter-battery warfare, two 152-mm D-20 howitzers, two 122-mm D-30 howitzers, and one 100-mm MT-12 Rapira anti-tank gun were neutralized.

Two Anklav-N electronic warfare stations and one ammunition depot were also eliminated.

▫️The Tsentr Group of Forces' units liberated Novobakhmutovka (Donetsk People's Republic), and defeated units of AFU 142nd infantry, 24th mechanized, 68th jaeger brigades near Leninskoye, Keramik, and Semyonovka (Donetsk People's Republic).

Ten counter-attacks launched by assault groups of AFU 23rd, 100th mechanized, 71st jaeger brigades and the 78th Separate Air Assault Regiment were repelled near Novgorodskoye, Ocheretino, Novobakhmutovka, Netaylovo, and Berdychi (Donetsk People's Republic).

The AFU losses amounted to up to 380 Ukrainian troops, one tank, one armored fighting vehicle, and five motor vehicles.

In the course of the counter-battery warfare, two 155-mm U.S.-made M777 howitzers, one 155-mm U.S.-made M109 Paladin self-propelled artillery system, two 105-mm U.S.-made M101 towed guns, three 122-mm D-30 howitzers, and one 100-mm MT-12 Rapira anti-tank gun were eliminated.

▫️The Vostok Group of Forces' units captured more advantageous lines, inflicted losses on manpower and hardware of AFU 58th mechanized infantry, 108th territorial defense brigades close to Pavlovka and Lugovskoye (Zaporozhye region).

The AFU losses amounted to up to 85 Ukrainian troops, four pickups, one 122-mm German-made PzH-2000 self-propelled artillery system, and one 122-mm Gvozdika self-propelled artillery system.

One Anklav-N electronic warfare station and one ammunition depot were also destroyed.

▫️Units of the Dnepr Group of Forces inflicted fire damage on clusters of manpower of AFU 65th mechanized, 128th mountain assault, 126th territorial defence brigades near Kamenskoye, Rabotino (Zaporozhye region), Ivanovka, and Olgovka (Kherson region).

The AFU losses amounted to up to 50 Ukrainian troops, two motor vehicles, one 155-mm U.S.-made M777 howitzer, and one Anklav-N electronic warfare station.

Operational-Tactical Aviation, Missile Troops and Artillery of the Russian Groups of Forces have eliminated hangars with strike drones at the Kamenka airfield (Dnepropetrovsk region).

In addition, hangars with aircraft munitions and aircraft at the Priluki airfield (Chernigov region) and at the Starokonstantinov airfield (Khmelnitsky region), temporary deployment areas for foreign mercenaries, manpower and military hardware of the AFU in 121 areas were engaged.

Air defense systems shot down 46 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles and five U.S.-made ATACMS operational-tactical missiles during the day.

The thing is that in actuality we have been saying this exact thing since the early 2000s.

That at a peer level, the Arms Race was gone, because the expectation of any conflict was total loss.

I mean that from what our military said, not what the politicians said or what it looked like. So this is like a 20-year delayed promise. And, probably as with any category you'd like to track, the best-case scenario is if you hit the ground with your feet running, then you might be able to maintain being only a little over ten years behind.

That's our best correction course, over ten years behind.

Western rhetoric painting Moscow as a threat is a way of distracting citizens from problems at home, Dmitry Peskov says


Warnings from some EU leaders that Russia could attack other European countries if it prevails in the Ukraine conflict are "horror stories" made up to distract people from domestic problems in their own countries, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has said.

He was responding to a reporter's question regarding recent statements by Polish President Andrzej Duda, who signaled that his country was open to hosting US nuclear weapons. Duda claimed that this would "strengthen the security of NATO's eastern flank" as Russia was "increasingly militarizing" its exclave of Kaliningrad, which borders Poland and Lithuania, as well as deploying nuclear weapons in Belarus. Several other European leaders have also warned that Russia could attack an EU member state if it defeats Ukraine on the battlefield.

"European capitals are escalating tension in every possible way... trying to fool their population with these horror stories about terrible Russians who will never stop and continue moving forward. That's absolutely groundless," Peskov said in an interview aired by Rossiya 1 TV channel on Sunday.

According to the spokesman, the 'Russian threat' is used by some European leaders "to cover up" their internal economic or political problems, while some even "try to compensate for the loss of their image, their rating" with their warnings regarding Russia.

Russian President Vladimir Putin made similar remarks last month, when he dismissed any talk of a potential Russian attack on Poland, the Czech Republic, or the Baltic states as "nonsense" and attempts to scare local citizens "to extract additional expenses from people."

Last year, Russia placed its tactical nuclear weapons in neighboring Belarus, but Putin explained the move at the time as a response to NATO's increased military activity close to Belarusian and Russian territory. Meanwhile, Moscow has repeatedly stressed it has never threatened to use its nuclear arsenal and has no plans to do so.

Duda's statements regarding the placement of US nuclear weapons on Polish soil were criticized by Polish officials and the country's NATO allies. Poland's Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski on Friday said Duda had no authority to speculate publicly about the matter.

French Defense Minister Sebastien Lecornu also warned that an additional nuclear deployment would breach key arms-control accords between NATO and Russia. NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg completely dismissed the idea of expanding the bloc's nuclear-sharing arrangements, saying at a press briefing on Tuesday that the alliance had "no plans to deploy any more nuclear weapons in any additional NATO countries."


Comment: Since the US has much autonomy at the bases they occupy in various European countries, and have weapon systems that can carry nuclear weapons, denials from officials like the Polish FM Radoslaw Sikorsky and Jens Stoltenberg are of little merit.

1) For the US Government and aligned people, it is of advantage to maintain high tensions in Europe. Besides turning attention away from internal issues, as Peskov suggests, increased defence spendings amounts to more US produced weapons being added to the European shopping carts, and money going away from the EU economies, thus supporting the US economy cannibalizing the European.
2) The EU and NATO have invested much in Ukraine, some countries so much that their identity is becoming fused with the need to keep the fight going.
3) Comparing the Wikis for Enlargement of NATO with Generalplan Ost reveals a few similarities, of which depopulating parts of Eastern Europe is a common result. And would not some of the architects of Operation Barbarossa have applauded the high number of dead descendants of the Soviets?

The last American-trained brigade left Germany in January or February, a US official told the newspaper.

The number and frequency of Ukrainian soldiers receiving training in US bases in Western Europe has dropped to almost zero in the last months, suggesting that Kiev is running out of men to fight Russian forces, US officials have told the Washington Post.

American instructors began training Ukrainian troops in April 2022, with drills taking place at the Grafenwoehr Training Area in Germany. Some 3,100 Ukrainian soldiers had received US training by the end of 2022. The program was expanded in January 2023 to train 12 brigades in the run-up to Kiev's disastrous summer counteroffensive.

In addition to these 12 brigades, three brigades were trained by other European nations, while American instructors taught combined arms tactics to a tank battalion and two national guard battalions.

However, the last brigade trained in Germany left Grafenwoehr, the largest US ovcerseas training command, in January or February, anonymous officials told the Washington Post on Saturday. None have been trained in the months since, "suggesting a depletion of the personnel pipeline," the newspaper paraphrased.

Ukraine's manpower issues have been covered by Western news outlets since late last year, although Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky insisted in February that his forces had suffered only 31,000 fatalities in two years of fighting. American and Ukrainian officials know that this figure is a gross understatement, but admitted Zelensky must find a way to "inspire more Ukrainian men to come to the front lines," one US source said.

"We see so many deaths and so many wounded," a Ukrainian lawmaker said. "If they go, [troops] want to know how long they will be there."

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, Ukraine lost more than 160,000 troops during last summer's counteroffensive, out of nearly half a million during the entire conflict to date. Zelensky's former presidential adviser, Aleksey Arestovich, ​h​as claimed that Ukraine ha​s lost up to 300,000 men​ so far.
