Here is an additional detail about a "target" struck from Iraq:

Quote Saraya Awliya al-Dam, revealed in a separate statement that it had launched two drones at the Orot Rabin Power Plant near the northern Israeli town of Caesarea during the attack.

From its side, Saraya Awliya al-Dam specified in its statement that the attack was carried out in retaliation to ongoing Israeli ground operations in the southern Gaza area of Rafah.

Hebrew media didn’t report any warnings or interceptions in Israel due to attacks from Iraq. Nevertheless, this does not mean that the attack was a failure as the Israeli military has the power to censor all news related to security incidents in the country
    .

It is notable because Caesarea is Shangri-La:

With a population of 5,997, it is the only Israeli locality managed by a private organization, the Caesarea Development Corporation, and also one of the most populous localities not recognized as a local council.

After the establishment of the State of Israel, the Rothschild family agreed to transfer most of its land holdings to the new state. A different arrangement was reached for the 35,000 dunams of land the family owned in and around modern Caesarea: after turning over the land to the state, it was leased back (for a period of 200 years) to a new charitable foundation. In his will, Edmond James de Rothschild stipulated that this foundation would further education, arts and culture, and welfare in Israel.

This is the answer from a couple of months ago when we were wondering if they had used this upgrade:

Quote The group fighters fired Falaq-2 heavy rockets at a headquarters of the IDF in the Beit Hillel base during one of the attacks. The Falaq-2 is a 333 mm rocket with a range of 11 kilometers. The rocket is armed with a 120 kg warhead that holds 60 kg of explosives.

This was the first time Hezbollah launched Falaq-2 rockets at Israel since the start of the clashes on the Lebanese-Israeli border on the backdrop of the war on Gaza. A lighter version of the rocket known as the Falaq-1 was used before by the group however.

From what I remember, it literally packs about double the firepower. It pays for this by only being usable at a closer range.

This may be significant, and it'll be very interesting to see what does or doesn't happen next. The issue, of course, is that when the US repeatedly stated that this was Israel's proposal which the US was supporting, Israel denied that vehemently. But now it's a Security Council mandate.

From the UN official news site, with the headline as the UN's own wording: (the bold emphasis is in the UN's report)
Security Council adopts US resolution calling for ‘immediate, full and complete ceasefire’

The UN Security Council on Monday adopted a resolution aimed at reaching a comprehensive ceasefire deal in three phases to end the war in Gaza, with US Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield telling members "today, we voted for peace."

The United States-drafted text calls for Hamas to accept a ceasefire proposal announced on 31 May by President Joe Biden that has already been accepted by Israel.

Adopted by a large majority with 14 votes in favour and Russia abstaining - choosing not to exercise its veto power - the resolution also urges both parties to fully implement the terms of the proposal “without delay and without condition.

President Biden described the deal as “not just a ceasefire that would inevitably be fragile and temporary" but one that would provide a "durable end to the war”.

He added that the terms of the deal had been transmitted by Qatar to the leadership of Hamas. It's diplomatically significant that the US was able to bring both Israel and the Palestinian mission on board to support Monday's resolution, while avoiding the vetoes from permanent members - including the US itself - which have dogged may of the resolutions which have failed to pass since the 7 October terror attacks began the cycle of violence.

    Three-phased approach

The motion envisages a three phase approach to ensure a lasting and comprehensive end to the fighting.

Phase one includes an “immediate, full, and complete ceasefire with the release of hostages including women, the elderly and the wounded, the return of the remains of some hostages who have been killed, and the exchange of Palestinian prisoners”.

It calls for the withdrawal of Israeli forces from “populated areas” of Gaza, the return of Palestinians to their homes and neighbourhoods throughout the enclave, including in the north, as well as the safe and effective distribution of humanitarian assistance at scale.

    Permanent end to hostilities

Phase two would see a permanent end to hostilities “in exchange for the release of all other hostages still in Gaza, and a full withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza”.

In phase three, “a major multi-year reconstruction plan for Gaza” would begin and the remains of any deceased hostages still in the Strip would be returned to Israel.

The Council also underlined the proposal’s provision that if negotiations take longer than six weeks for phase one, the ceasefire will continue as long as negotiations continue.

    (...the UN's report continues)

🇾🇪⚔️🇺🇸🕵️🇮🇱 Details of the spies whose arrest was announced by the Yemeni Security Forces today, in a major and unprecedented blow to American-zionist schemes in the region.

Records of employment by US intelligence, and US embassy documents about the spies are featured, and the handlers of each spy were identified.

    Spy: Amer Abdul Majeed Al-Aghbari
Recruited to the CIA in 1987. The spy targeted education and agriculture sectors, strengthened American influence over the National Dialogue Conference, worked on projects to destroy soil, promote American products, break barriers, reduce agricultural production, spread highly toxic pesticides, and transmit animal diseases.

    Spy: Mohamed Salah Al-Kharashi
Recruited to the FBI in 2011. The spy provided the FBI with databases and maps of camps, weapon depots, security centers, hospitals, roads, and routes. He managed informant cells in civilian, economic, security, and military institutions, handing them over to the FBI.

    Spy Abdelkader Ali Al-Saqqaf
Recruited to the CIA in 1994. The spy collected various information and data on the country's political and judicial situation and supplied American intelligence with sensitive information about security and military operations. He was key in obtaining information for the CIA.

    Spy Jamil Abdu Mohamed Al-Faqih
Recruited to the CIA in 2009. The spy collected important information in various economic sectors and provided American officers with all related details. He helped the Americans control the Swift code operating the Yemeni Central Bank and transmitted information that contributed to shaping the American siege policy against Yemen.

    Spy: Bassam Ahmed Hamad Al-Mardhi
Recruited to the FBI in 2012. The spy recruited several individuals within the security establishment and judiciary, managed informant cells that conducted espionage activities, and prepared reports and analyses on crimes, risks, and the security environment in Yemen.

    Spy: Shaif Hefdhallah Al-Hamdani
Recruited to the CIA in 1997. The spy shared information with American intelligence, monitored ballistic missile launch sites, drone operations, and military and economic targets, and participated in implementing hostile American activities in the education, health, agriculture, livestock, and fishery sectors. He also transmitted the Central Bank's code to Aden.

    Spy: Hesham Ahmed Ali Al-Wazir
Recruited to the CIA in 2009. The spy connected Yemeni commercial houses with the American embassy, recruited senior leaders, traders, and prominent figures in various fields to the embassy, and implemented agendas to divide Yemen at the National Dialogue Conference. He monitored activities aimed at dismantling national armament under the guise of USAID projects and provided Americans with political, economic, and military information. He has received numerous awards from the US embassy.

    Spy: Mohamed Ali Ahmed Al-Waziza
Recruited to the CIA in 2007. The spy worked with FBI officers in hostile missions, extracted sovereign information from the Immigration and Passports Authority servers for the FBI, and operated under the cover of international and local organizations to undermine social values, including the Raneen Foundation.

    Spy: Jamal Mahmoud Sultan Al-Sharabi
Recruited to the CIA in 2014. The spy conducted several intelligence operations for the CIA, including delivering political, economic, and security reports to American officers and providing reports on military developments in Yemen. He worked as a "political assistant" for the US embassy.

    Spy: Abdelmaeen Hussein Ali Azzan
Recruited to the CIA in 2006. The spy also provided "israeli" Mossad and American intelligence with information on Ansarallah, spied on Yemeni military manufacturing and strategic capabilities. He recruited and attracted local institutions, organizations, and prominent figures for American intelligence. He provided Mossad officers with information, contacting them through the economic attaché at the US embassy. He worked for the CIA shell company LAPIS, where information was transferred until 2018.
    _____________

🇾🇪⚔️🇺🇸🕵️🇮🇱 The Yemeni Security Forces revealed details of the American-"israeli" spy network that has been operating for decades in Yemen. What has been revealed is only a small part of what is called the first phase, and will be followed by more releases showing the scale of the espionage and sabotage carried out by the CIA and Mossad.

The confessions and documents seized from the spy network members clearly reveal their role in serving the American and zionist enemy in Yemen. After the US embassy left Sana'a in 2015, the spies pivoted to carry out their espionage under various pretexts in different fields, including agriculture and economy, using secret communication devices and handled by US officers.

Unlike Force 400, which began last October, the network revealed today has been operating for decades, with one spy working for the CIA since 1994.

The members of the network visited the US several times to attend training workshops and meetings with American officials.

❗️Private sources also told Al-Mayadeen that American and "israeli" intelligence tried to kill some members of the spy network before they were arrested for fear that they would leak information.

But now it's a Security Council mandate.

Interesting...the term I see is "Resolution", which, at least here, amounts to a "statement".

As to how that works through UN-SC, I am not sure, nor do I have any idea how they compel Israel to cooperate. Sounds like the U. S. may be trying to save face over the bad press at the pier. It is still true that Biden's "not months" expired months ago...he really did say the IOF does not get carte blanche forever. We'll see what the institutions and courts come up with. They don't sound like the people to call in the event of an actual emergency.

    While this:

Quote Phase two would see a permanent end to hostilities
sounds practically impossible. It perhaps could get Hamas to agree to cease aggressive actions outside of Gaza, however, I am not sure the "hostilities" of other forces will be affected.

    Role reversal:

Israeli occupation army confirms Hezbollah downed drone over Lebanon

Hebrew media: Fire erupts as 2 drones explode over Golan after failed interception by Israeli army

That was another Hermes 900 from the notorious Elbit Systems, so, you can see all your collegiate investment money at work. More precisely:

Islamic Resistance fighters launched a swarm of drones that targeted the headquarters of the 210th Division at the in occupied Golan Heights of Syria. Confirmed casualties were reported among Israeli soldiers, the eighth statement read.

Those are the el cheapos, which are just as good against the Iron Dome, apparently.

Any realist will conclude that Hermes Drones and Iron Domes are not effective tools, which leaves rather little for protective purposes. Still, the IOF are pretty good at shelling unprotected villages. On an actual battlefield, forget it, the Zionists are hamburger.

Quote Israeli opposition politician Avigdor Liberman announced on Monday that he will meet with National Unity chief Benny Gantz, who announced his resignation from the coalition and Netanyahu’s war cabinet a day earlier.

The Yisrael Beytenu chairman has previously called on Gideon Sa’ar, Yair Lapid and Gantz to set up a “joint war room so that we can topple this government and establish another government,” Israeli media reported.

But now it's a Security Council mandate.
Interesting...the term I see is "Resolution", which, at least here, amounts to a "statement".
Well, resolutions by the Security Council are legally binding. But what that means in practice is open to discussion. It's highly likely that Israel will just ignore it, as they have done almost everything else that any other body or authority has ever said or done for decades now.

    Edit to add:

It appears Israel has accepted the resolution. But we'll still have to see what this means in the real world. It was reported earlier, before the resolution was passed, that Hamas was also in favor of this. What I'm not aware of is why the Russians abstained (the only country to do so), which means they must have had some reservations about the deal.

    The text:
NEW: Today, the UN Security Council sent a clear message to Hamas: Accept the ceasefire-hostage deal on the table.
Israel has already accepted this deal.
The fighting could stop today – and hostages could come home today – if Hamas agreed to the deal.

EU welcomes UN Security Council resolution on cease-fire in Gaza

The EU on Monday announced that it welcomes the UN Security Council resolution on a latest cease-fire proposal in Gaza.

“The European Union welcomes the adoption of the United Nations Security Council resolution 2735, supporting the new ceasefire proposal announced on 31 May,” it said in a statement.

Also calling for implementation of UN Security Council Resolutions 2728, 2720, and 2712, the statement added: “The EU recalls its full support to the comprehensive roadmap presented by United States President Joe Biden. We urge both parties to accept and implement the three-phase proposal.”

It reiterated that the bloc stands ready to contribute to reviving a political process for a lasting and sustainable peace, based on a two-state solution, and to support a coordinated international effort to rebuild Gaza.

The UN Security Council on Monday passed a resolution supporting a Gaza cease-fire proposal announced last month by US President Joe Biden.

The resolution, submitted by the US, got 14 votes in favor at the 15-member Security Council, with Russia abstaining.

The resolution highlights the diplomatic efforts led by Egypt, the US, and Qatar, and welcomes Biden's three-phase proposal presented on May 31.

The resolution states that Israel has accepted Biden's proposal and calls on Palestinian group Hamas to do the same and implement it.

    3-phase Gaza deal

On May 31, Biden said that Israel presented a three-phase deal that would end hostilities in Gaza and secure the release of hostages held in the coastal enclave. The plan includes a cease-fire, a hostage-prisoner exchange, and the reconstruction of Gaza.

The first phase proposes "immediate, full, and complete ceasefire, release of hostages including women, the elderly and the wounded, the return of the remains of some hostages who have been killed, the exchange of Palestinian prisoners, withdrawal of Israeli forces from the populated areas in Gaza, the return of Palestinian civilians to their homes and neighborhoods in all areas of Gaza, including in the north, as well as the safe and effective distribution of humanitarian assistance at scale throughout the Gaza Strip to all Palestinian civilians who need it, including housing units delivered by the international community."

The second includes the release of all remaining hostages in Gaza while permanently ceasing hostiles and "full withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza."

For the third phase, the resolution proposes a long-term reconstruction plan for Gaza to be initiated, with the return of the bodies of deceased hostages.

Israel has continued its brutal offensive on Gaza since a Hamas attack last Oct. 7 despite a UN Security Council resolution demanding an immediate cease-fire.

More than 37,00 Palestinians have since been killed in Gaza, most of them women and children, and over 83,000 others injured, according to local health authorities.

Eight months into the Israeli war, vast tracts of Gaza lie in ruins amid a crippling blockade of food, clean water, and medicine.

Israel stands accused of genocide at the International Court of Justice, whose latest ruling ordered Tel Aviv to immediately halt its operation in the southern city of Rafah, where over a million Palestinians had sought refuge from the war before it was invaded on May 6.

Hamas accepts UNSC Gaza resolution, demands Israel follow suit
Though the Security Council resolution states Israel has accepted the proposal, Israeli officials have not confirmed agreement to it

The UN Security Council voted on 10 June to support a US resolution backing a ceasefire plan for the war in Gaza. Hamas has accepted the resolution, according to a top official in the movement, while Israel has not.

The BBC reports that the proposal sets out conditions for a “full and complete ceasefire,” the release of Israeli captives held by Hamas, the return of dead captives' remains, and the release of Palestinians held captive in Israeli prisons.

Fourteen of the 15 Security Council members voted in favor of the US-drafted resolution. Russia abstained.

US President Joe Biden unveiled some aspects of the three-part plan in a televised statement on 31 May, describing it as an Israeli ceasefire proposal.

The resolution states that Israel has accepted the ceasefire proposal and urges Hamas to agree to it, too.

Senior Hamas official Sami Abu Zuhri told Reuters the movement accepted the ceasefire resolution and was ready to negotiate over the details, adding that it was up to Washington to ensure that Israel abides by it.

“The US administration is facing a real test to carry out its commitments in compelling the occupation to immediately end the war in an implementation of the UN Security Council resolution,” Abu Zuhri stated.

Hamas also issued a statement saying, “The movement would like to emphasize its readiness to cooperate with the mediators to enter into indirect negotiations on the implementation of these principles that are in line with the demands of our people and our resistance.”

“We also affirm the continuation of our endeavor and struggle… to achieve [our] national rights, foremost of which is defeating the occupation and establishing an independent, fully sovereign Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital,” it added.

However, it is unclear if Israel has accepted the proposal as stated in the draft resolution and as claimed by US Secretary of State Antony Blinken in statements made earlier this week.

In responding to the UNSC vote, Israeli diplomat Reut Shafir Ben Naftali did not explicitly confirm that Israel indeed accepts the proposal but instead echoed Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's criticisms of it over the past week.

In discussing Russia's abstention vote, Moscow's Ambassador to the UN, Vasily Nebenzya, said UNSC members were being told that Israel accepted the proposal, while Netanyahu has repeatedly insisted that the war will continue until Hamas has been defeated, implying that both cannot be true at the same time.

“Given the many statements from Israel on the extension of the war until Hamas is completely defeated ... what specifically has Israel agreed to?” Nebenzia asked.

The Russian ambassador also said that UNSC members were being asked to approve a proposal they had not seen in its entirety.

Despite voting in favor, China also expressed concerns over the text. The Chinese ambassador to the UN questioned whether the resolution would be implemented when three previous Security Council resolutions regarding the conflict were not implemented despite being legally binding.

A senior Israeli official said the resolution “restricts Israel's freedom of action.” According to him, “The US accepted very problematic formulations to prevent the Russians from vetoing, and the fact that Algeria supported the proposal tells the whole story.”

Algeria is a strong backer of the Palestinian cause, and many Israeli officials have stated they want the freedom to continue the war to ethnically cleanse Gaza, annex it to Israel, and build settlements for Jewish Israelis.

At the same time, the Times of Israel reported that a clause that stressed opposition to Israel's establishment of security buffer zones in Gaza was removed following pushback from Israel.

Israel months ago began work on a security buffer zone on the Gazan side of its southern border, which will see Israel illegally confiscate some 16 percent of Gaza's territory and maintain security control of the strip.

The US has publicly condemned the establishment of the buffer zone, but a senior Israeli official told the Times of Israel earlier this year that Washington's opposition has not been “as fierce behind closed doors.”
