    • Do you think that Russia will never use nuclear weapons?! Putin, Ukraine:

Russia is going to transfer its missiles to other countries to deter the West! Are you as dumb as this table?! Are you crazy or what?! Russian President Vladimir Putin Vladimir held a meeting with the heads of the world's leading news agencies. In particular, the topic of the crisis around Ukraine was touched upon.

Attack on Crimea: The enemy fired 12 ATACMS missiles at the peninsula at once 2024-06-10

After midnight, Ukrainian formations again attacked the Crimean peninsula, launching at least 12 ATACMS operational-tactical missiles from the Nikolaev region. The target of the strikes was the vicinity of Chernomorskoye, Yevpatoriya and Dzhankoy. In the northwestern part of Crimea, sounds of air defense and muffled explosions were heard.

According to Mikhail Zvinchuk, the target could be the positions of the 31st Air Force and Air Defense Division, since air defense work at airfields in these areas was not recorded. It is not known for certain whether the enemy succeeded in achieving their goals, but the absence of fires and secondary detonation gives hope for repelling the attack or causing minor damage.

On the eve of Russia Day on June 12, Ukrainian formations are increasing the number of attacks in Crimea. In addition to missile attacks, attacks using unmanned boats and unmanned aerial vehicles were recorded. This morning a missile alert was already introduced in Crimea, which may indicate the launch of decoy missiles in the direction of the peninsula. More attack attempts can be expected in the coming days.

These actions on the part of Ukraine can be considered as another attempt to destabilize the situation and cause damage to Russia’s strategic targets. The increase in the number of attacks and the variety of means of attack used indicates a deliberate escalation of the conflict, which requires an adequate and prompt response.

Germany wants total war. The abyss is getting closer – opinion 27 mins ago

The Battle of Berlin. A fragment of a diorama in the Victory Museum on Poklonnaya Hill in Moscow
    Dmitry Zagorodnyuk

After two years of war in Ukraine, it is clear that the abyss is getting closer and closer. This is evident from the coolness with which Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz (SPD) is destroying the red lines he himself drew. Journalist Sven Brajer expressed this opinion on the Berlin 24/7 news portal on June 9.

“It all started with 5,000 helmets, and meanwhile, after almost two years of war in Ukraine, ‘we’ see German weapons designed to destroy Russians in their own country. What’s going to happen next? Who will be the first to push the red button? The abyss is getting closer and closer,” he wrote.

According to Brajer, Scholz is reminiscent of his predecessor in office Konrad Adenauer and his legendary dictum, “What do I care about my yesterday’s chatter?” Now, for the first time, he has officially authorized Ukraine to use German weapons to attack Russian territory.

This happened 80 years after the Red Army drove the Nazi invaders out of the Soviet Union with huge losses and 110 years after the Social Democrats voted for war loans to the German Empire on the eve of the First World War.

Remarkably, just a day earlier, it was reported from Washington that Ukrainians are now allowed to use US weapons against targets in Russia, but so far, only in the Kharkov region.

That’s just for starters. It is clear where the wind is blowing from in the Federal Chancellor’s office: from the west, from the Atlantic, as is often the case. They have now decided to escalate the situation there.

Thus, not only Ukraine is becoming a victim of the US administration’s geopolitical plans on the big geopolitical chessboard. The rest of Europe can happily become a battlefield, the main thing is that the war should be far enough away from its own territory.

At best, the USA will get rid of an annoying economic competitor in the face of the EU that can be rebuilt with US loans after possible total or partial destruction similar to that after 1945.

Lindsey Graham, who has demonstrated zero compassion for the human beings who find themselves living in war zones, shows that that he has great compassion for the billionaires who would be loosing billions in profits that would go to Russia and China. Sometimes it just takes a psychopath to reveal the deep truths of U.S. foreign policy.

Ukraine is a ‘gold mine’ – US senator
Allowing a Russian victory in the conflict would deprive America of access to vast mineral resources, Lindsey Graham says
    https://www.rt.com/news/599068-ukraine-gold-mine-us/

Washington “cannot afford” to allow Russia to achieve victory in the Ukraine conflict as this would mean losing direct access to vast mineral assets, US Senator Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina) has said.

In an interview with ‘Face the Nation’ on CBS on Sunday, Graham accused Russian President Vladimir Putin of being a “megalomaniac” who is attempting to “re-create the Russian Empire by force of arms,” starting with Ukraine. He further claimed that if Moscow wins the current conflict, it will then take over Ukraine’s wealth and share it with China. Graham described that prospect as “ridiculous,” suggesting it would be better if this “gold mine” were available to the US instead.

“They’re sitting on 10 to $12 trillion of critical minerals in Ukraine. They could be the richest country in all of Europe... If we help Ukraine now, they can become the best business partner we ever dreamed of, that $10 to $12 trillion of critical mineral assets could be used by Ukraine and the West, not given to Putin and China,” Graham stated.

Quote This is a very big deal how Ukraine ends. Let’s help them win a war we can’t afford to lose… They’re sitting on a gold mine. To give Putin $10 or $12 trillion for critical minerals that he will share with China is ridiculous.
Graham, a longtime Russia hawk and one of the staunchest supporters of Ukraine in the US Senate, also called on the West to speed up the seizure of $300 billion in frozen Russian sovereign assets. He reiterated his demands for Russia to be designated “a state sponsor of terrorism” under US law, a suggestion which earlier this year landed the senator on Moscow’s list of extremists and terrorists.

One day prior to Graham’s remarks, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban argued that the West wants Kiev to win the conflict with Russia so that it can control Ukraine’s wealth. In an interview with Hir TV, Orban accused the US and its allies of seeing Ukraine as a potentially huge source of revenue which they will be able to control, provided Russia is defeated. He also said the conflict is a major boost for Western “arms suppliers, creditors, and speculators,” arguing that this is the reason it has dragged on for so long.

Moscow has repeatedly stated throughout the conflict that its goals are to protect the largely Russian-speaking population of Donbass against persecution by Kiev, and to ensure Russia’s own security in light of NATO expansion toward its borders. Moscow has never spoken of any intention to take over Ukraine’s resources, but has repeatedly stressed that the former Ukrainian regions which have chosen to join Russia, including Crimea, must remain under its control.

Andrea Lucini, an Italian journalist and war correspondent, spoke of the quality of the panels at SPIEF and the impressive number of attendees.

Unsurprisingly, like most Western media, Italian media have been reporting a dearth of people at the forum, no delegations or business people from Europe...

"This is fake, it's not true. I saw a lot of people from Europe, from USA, university professors from China, Iran and Lebanon."

The Donbass Republics' stands, he said, were much larger than last year, and the impression is that now the Donetsk and Lugansk Republics, as well as Zaparozhe and Kherson, are integrated into Russia.

"Unfortunately, Western media weren't interested in reporting on this. They continue this narrative about a "Russian invasion of Ukraine," and that these regions are not officially part of the Russian Federation. But, facts are facts."

We spoke of Western media targeting journalists who report from the Donbass in Ukraine's war crimes, calling us Russian propagandists.

"This isn't true. I'm here because I want to offer to the Italian people another perspective about the conflict in Donbass."

Absolutely, but not the only issue at the core here of course. All sorts of other drivers are going on here not just the 'promise' of the mineral resources (many of which would largely be squirreled away into black budget projects I suspect: SSP - secret space programs; other advanced tech which would likely be weaponised, etc.. - all parties have an interest in that) but as discussed on the thread before, its spiritual and symbolic aspect. I'm thinking of Ihor Berkut and his openly stated and advocated New Heavenly Jerusalem project - a Zionist homeland project right where the newly Russian federated regions are geolocated: Vlad has rather put a huge spanner in the works there now.

That seems to me to be at the real root of this, not just the bonus of mineral acquisition. It's the best explanation I can provide with what I feel I understand right now. It explains much of the nonsensical zeal with which the (so called) West and its parasitical captured adherents continues to pursue this very foolish course (my dollar fifty cents )

US Lifts Ban on Arms Supplies to Ukraine’s Nationalist Battalion Azov - Reports
    16 hours ago

MOSCOW (Sputnik) - The US administration has lifted the ban on arms supplies to Ukraine's terrorist Azov battalion (banned in Russia), The Washington Post newspaper reported, citing the US State Department.

The formation has passed the State Department's inspection for compliance with the Leahy Law, which prohibits the provision of US military assistance to foreign units convicted of serious human rights violation, the report added

The Azov battalion is one of the most notorious military units of the Ukrainian army, as its soldiers have been found to be involved in torture, abuse of civilians, neo-Nazism and excessive brutality since its foundation.
Earlier, there were already concerns that the prohibition on military aid to Azov was de facto losing force, particularly because the Azov fighters had become part of Ukraine's National Guard or had created new separate paramilitary formations.

In the German parliament (Bundestag) Selensky was invited to hold a speech today (not the first time, he already did so 2 years ago). Both reasonable parties, the new BSW (left-wing) and the AFD (right-wing) left the room out of protest. Of course, all the warmonger puppet parties called this a 'scandal'. Pathetic.

Nuclear Weapon Drills Help Russia Prepare for Possible NATO Invasion
    1 hour ago

The ongoing Russian tactical nuclear weapon drills, whose second phase began this week, is not some kind of act of showmanship, warns military analyst Igor Korotchenko, editor in chief of National Defense magazine.

The purpose of this exercise is to rehearse the “practical mechanisms” of tactical nuclear weapon use if a decision to resort to such drastic measures were to be made.
This is not signaling someone, not some underscoring of some ‘red lines’ - this is about practice,” Korotchenko tells Sputnik.
The various aspects of tactical nuclear weapon use being tested during this exercise include the delivery of presidential authorization to the troops, unlocking the warheads, flight data input and targeting – basically everything involved in an actual nuclear strike, he says.

The drills are essentially meant to ensure that the Russian Armed Forces would be prepared to launch a tactical nuclear strike against a NATO military contingent if the latter were to be deployed to the Ukrainian conflict zone to attack Russian troops there, Korotchenko claims.
“This is a response mechanism in case NATO enters a war with Russia,” he surmises.

“We do not need to send signals to anyone. We do not need to once again draw ‘red lines’ that lost their value already,” he adds. “We must be prepared for full-scale military action involving the use of tactical nuclear weapons.”

Thus, Korotchenko argues, such drills “should be held regularly and without warning,” and Russian troops should be ready for action if a decision to use tactical nuclear weapons is made.

Putin says the death casualties ratio is estimated by the Russians as 5:1 (Ukr-Rus). I marked it in bold letters below.

Putin in the original tone about Russian losses

Russian President Putin has appeared before the international press for three hours. Putin was also asked about Russian losses in the fighting in Ukraine.

    by Anti-Spiegel
    June 10, 2024 08:00

Russian President Putin answered questions from 15 representatives of international news agencies for three hours, including the German dpa and leading agencies from Great Britain, France and the USA. In the next few days I will translate what I consider to be the most interesting questions and answers. By the way, this event is notable because it is unthinkable that Biden (or Scholz, Macron, etc.) would spend three hours answering questions from international news agencies, including Russian, Chinese, Syrian, Iranian and so on.

Here I translate questions from a French journalist and Putin's answers from the press conference .

    Start of translation:

Moderator: It seems logical to me not to stray too far from European issues and to let France have its say. France, which has officially allowed the deployment of European military personnel to Ukraine.

With us is Karim Talbi, editor-in-chief for European news at the France-Press agency. Incidentally, Mr. Talbi speaks Russian very well because, like Martin Romanczyk, he worked as a correspondent in Moscow for a long time.

    Please, Mr. Talbi, your question.

Talbi : Mr President, my question also concerns Ukraine. Why can't you still tell us how many Russian soldiers have died in the fighting in Ukraine?

Putin: If that's all you're interested in, I can tell you that, as a rule, no one talks about it. And if they do, the actual numbers are usually distorted.

I can tell you with absolute certainty that our losses, especially if they are unfortunately irreplaceable, are of course many times less than those on the Ukrainian side.

I can tell you the exact number of people held by both sides, in short, in captivity. On the Ukrainian side, there are 1,348 of our soldiers and officers. I know these numbers because we work with them every day. And just recently there was an exchange: 75 people were exchanged for 75 people. We have 6,465 Ukrainian soldiers.

If we talk about irrecoverable losses, then the ratio is the same: one to five. We assume that. By the way, the attempt to carry out total mobilization in Ukraine is directly related to this, because the losses on the battlefield are very high.

You know, it looks something like this: according to our calculations, the Ukrainian army loses 50,000 people every month, these are both sanitary and irrecoverable losses, and their irrecoverable and sanitary losses are about 50:50. And the fact that there is now total mobilization there does not solve the problems, because according to our data, which we receive from various sources, they recruit about 30,000 men a month. They mobilize them by force, or not by force. Now, of course, most often they are picked up by force on the street. There are not many people there who want to fight.

Last month, the month before last, they recruited between 50,000 and 55,000, according to our data. But that doesn't solve the problems. And why not? Because all this mobilization is just to make up for the losses. And that is the cardinal problem that is leading to the lowering of the mobilization age: from 27, it has now gone down to 25.

We only know from the Ukrainian side, it's not a secret at all: the US government insists that the threshold be lowered gradually from 25 to 23, then to 20, then to 18, or immediately to 18, because they are already demanding that 17 year olds register. This is a demand from the US government to the Ukrainian leadership, if one can even call it a leadership after the cancellation of the elections.

In any case - I think I said this publicly recently when I met with the press after my visit to Uzbekistan - I believe that the US government will force the current Ukrainian leadership to make these decisions, raise the mobilization age 18 years old and simply serve Zelensky. But all this must happen first, because this is not a simple story: the law must be passed, certain steps must be taken.

It's now June 2024, which will probably take a year. He will at least be tolerated until the beginning of next year, and when he has done everything, he will be dismissed and replaced. There are a few candidates, as far as I can see.

But we are talking about large losses. I said 50,000, but that is a very conservative estimate. 50,000 is what we see on the battlefield. If we consider that there are even more losses that we know about but cannot count because they are somewhere deep in the hinterland, then it is actually more. If we talk about losses.

Talbi: Allow me to ask you an additional question about our losses, AFP.

    Putin: Why?

Talbi: We had a journalist, Armand Solden, who died in Ukraine on May 9, 2023. According to our assessment, he most likely died as a result of drone strikes. The French ministry is investigating. Due to the fact that he was in the Chassov Yar area of Ukraine, it is believed that the drone came from Russia. But that is not the question.

The French ministry wants to investigate. Is Russia willing to cooperate with France in this investigation so that we know what really happened?

It was a great tragedy for us, for AFP, of course for his family, he was 32 years old. So we want a really serious investigation to find out what happened and whether Russia was involved.

Putin : You know, we have never refused an investigation. Do you know how many journalists died in war zones? ( Addressed to Kremlin spokesman Peskov ) How many, do you know?

    Peskov: 30 people.

Putin: At least 30 of our journalists have been killed and no one is giving us the opportunity to investigate what happened to them. That's the first thing.

Secondly, if we talk about the events in Ukraine, an American journalist was tortured in prison there, within the walls of the Kiev regime. Unlike you, the United States did not even ask what happened to him. An American citizen, a journalist. He was arrested at the border, dragged to prison and died there, he was literally tortured. No one bothered to ask what happened to him.

Nevertheless, we are ready to organize this work. I don't know how you can do it practically if someone has died in a war zone. But please, we will do our best.

Russian paratroopers of the 98th Guards Airborne Division broke through Ukrainian defenses in the Seversky Donets – Donbass Canal and entered western Chasov Yar in the Novy microdistrict.

The countdown to the fall of Chasov Yar has already begun. The Russians are now in almost complete control of Eastern Chasov Yar

Eastern Chasov Yar under Russian control

The 98th Ivanovo Airborne Division broke through the defenses of the Ukrainian Army in the "Kanali" microdistrict of the city of Chasov Yar. The Russians control most of the streets, 3 high-rise buildings, Kindergarten 32 in the south, the former bus factory (now a repair base) in the north, and the ArtMedia Group high-rise complex.

In the area of the repair base and further south, Ukrainian troops have been fully withdrawn. In the center, Russian assault units have entered the industrial area and Ukrainian forces have withdrawn to the west.

Yesterday, Russian paratroopers breached Ukrainian defenses at a depth of 500 meters in the Kanal microdistrict, raising the Russian flag over one of the buildings in the area.

Ukrainian tg channels report this. Previously, a team of doctors arrived on call at the TCC of the Kyiv region, after which the military commissars began to keep the doctors in the building.

As a result, several more ambulance crews arrived at the TCC building, supported their colleagues and turned on the sirens in protest.
