When asked if the world could avoid nuclear war, Jung said "I think it depends on how many people can stand the tension of the opposites in themselves. If enough can do so, I think the situation will just hold, and we shall be able to creep around innumerable threats and thus avoid the worst catastrophe of all: the final clash of opposites in an atomic war."

Quote This year, for the first time, consumers 18 and older surpassed toddlers to become the biggest demographic for toy purchases, buying more than $1.53 billion in toys, according to a study by Circana.

Brilliant posting. Or how a very astute and wise insight (Jung's) can lead one to sarcasm and tears at the same time...

    Thank you, Moemers.

Now these moments... people are really tired of lying of this killer regime...

In this episode of Head to Head, Mehdi Hasan challenges prominent Israeli historian Benny Morris on his support for Israel’s war on Gaza, the history around the founding of Israel and the Nakba.

Morris’ book ‘The Birth of the Palestinian Refugee Problem, 1947-1949’ dismantled many of the myths behind the displacement of more than 700,000 Palestinians during that period. His critics, however, say he now justifies many of those crimes.

Hasan and Morris are joined by a panel of three experts:

Diana Buttu – a Palestinian lawyer and former advisor for the PLO
Daniel Levy – a former Israeli peace negotiator and current President of the US/ Middle East Project
Emmanuel Navon – an International Relations lecturer at Tel Aviv University

This was filmed before the assassination of Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh in Iran on 31 July.

    ======

“It guarantees us escalation at a time when there were negotiations for a ceasefire. It has frozen those negotiations.”
In a special Zeteo Town Hall, Ex Israel-Hamas negotiator Gershon Baskin... who has had contact with Hamas for 17 years—joins Mehdi to discuss the latest escalation in Israel’s war in Gaza. He sheds light on the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh and the increasingly distant prospect of a ceasefire deal.

“It makes us less secure.” Former Israeli negotiator blasts Netanyahu for Haniyeh killing.
Interesting. I have the feeling that the real purpose of such debates is their real consequence (and hence is a concrete example of good management: “always act in such a way that the consequences of your actions are identical with your objectives”)... I have the feeling that the real purpose of all those debates (this one, the Piers Morgan ones etc. etc.) is their consequence : that the very nature of the 7th of October as being a false flag action enveloped in confusing mythological fog is more and more forgotten and implicitly and ultimately explicitly denied. (In that, the whole “Gaza epic” resembles quite clearly the “9-11 epic” – and as we can see, both led to massive murder of the weaker party (Iraq/Syria/Libya — Palestine).

To the extent that such "debates" are public events (as this one seems to be) and not just media "event" theatre — a tactic politically motivated people might follow could be to try and attend such public events and disruptively put the issue of “the 7th October as a false flag” to the fore. The arguments are there. The ultimate objective of such interventions would be to sabotage the "Israeli„ “hasbara" tactic and technique of "explaining away" truth in exchange for the ideology they want to impose on discussion by means of such debate.

As for the Palestinians, their objective could be to try and uncover how part of their military could be instrumentalised by their enemy in order to serve the false flag event.

Instead of endless competitive wailing at the respective sides of the identity wall, delve into the deception. The “Western” attendants to these "debate" "events" would spend their time more usefully if they attended real events where the proof is presented (they exist).

Sounds like the Mossad on foot:

Quote In a statement revealing more details on the July 31’s assassination in the Iranian capital, Tehran, the IRGC said Haniyeh was martyred after being targeted “by a short-range projectile with a warhead of about 7 kilograms.”

    Sounds like goodbye:

Quote Preparations in the Zionist entity are underway ahead of anticipated retaliation for the assassinations of top Hezbollah military commander Fuad Shokr and Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh.

The Wall Street Journal reported Friday that ‘Israel’ and the US are preparing for an “unpredictable Iranian retaliatory strike on Israel as soon as this weekend.”

“There is no point. Israel crossed all the red lines. Our response will be swift and heavy,” the Wall Street Journal quoted an Iranian diplomat as saying.

The diplomat, who was briefed by his government, said attempts by various countries to convince Tehran not to escalate had been and would be “fruitless” given Israel’s recent attacks, according to the US daily.

Meanwhile, Ynet Israeli news website reported that Government ministers have been issued satellite phones in preparation for the possible retaliation.

According to the report, the satellite phones were distributed due to concerns that a retaliatory attack by either Iran or Hezbollah could destroy telephone lines and knock out cell service.

Some ministries have also provided staff with satellite phones as well, the report added.

On the other hand, European airlines, Lufthansa Group, and British Airways as well as the US’ Delta airlines have recently joined the list of countries to cancel flights to Tel Aviv over security concerns.

Other airlines, including Air France, Turkish Airlines, Royal Jordanian Airlines, Ethiopian Air, and Aegean Airlines, have also halted flights to the Zionist entity.

Once in a while I check the government of Canada's travel advisories to certain middle-eastern countries to anticipate the next political move.

The Turdeau regime has clearly been pro-apartheid Isreal for years, just barely paying lip service to the plight of Palestinians, but not doing anything about it. On the contrary, after Iran's retaliation against Israel's assassination of Iranian officials at their Damascus embassy several weeks ago, the Turdeau regime officially declared that the IRGC (Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps" is a "terrorist" organization. Canada's travel advisory to Iran has been "Avoid all travel" for I don't know how long, due to 'terrorist activity, arbitrary detentions', etc etc.

It's been different for Israel. The travel advisory to Israel in recent weeks was "avoid non-essential travel", even though Israel has for years conducted terrorist attacks and arbitrarily detained people.

    But something changed just today.
As per an August 3, 2024 update, Canada's travel advisory to Israel is "Avoid all travel", due to "ongoing regional armed conflict and the unpredictable security situation".

At least in the USA it is openly known that politicians are taking bribes from the zionist lobby. But in Canada this happens under cover.
