Exclamation The Dark Future of iPad Kids born 2010 and Beyond Called 'Gen Alpha'

    • The Dark Future of "iPad Kids" born 2010 and Beyond Called 'Gen Alpha':

What is happening to Gen Alpha?! These kids' exposure to gadgets and social media is harming them more than you know!

The YouTube video "The Dark Future of iPad Kids" raises concerns about the impact of iPads and other gadgets on children, particularly those born around 2010 or beyond, often referred to as Generation Alpha. The speaker expresses worry about their struggle with basic skills like reading and writing due to insufficient hand development and stamina.

These kids also exhibit lower scores in language, critical thinking, and have trouble comprehending instructions or respecting authority. They may have emotional, social, and attention issues, making it hard to learn social skills and empathy. The speaker cites a study that links more than 2 hours of daily screen time to emotional, social, and attention problems. iPads used as babysitters have led to disconnected and ill-mannered children, with emotional and educational challenges confronted by teachers.

It's important to note that electronic devices can be tools, and responsible usage is essential for children to benefit educationally while avoiding negative effects. The speaker encourages parents to let children be children, engage with them, limit screen time, and prioritize real-life experiences for their overall development.

Deeply concerns over the impact of iPads and other gadgets on children, particularly those born around the same time as the iPad in 2010 and beyond. These kids, often referred to as Generation Alpha, reportedly struggle with basic skills like reading and writing due to insufficient hand muscle development and stamina. They also exhibit lower scores in language and critical thinking, and have difficulty comprehending instructions or respecting authority.

The iPad kids are more likely to have emotional, social, and attention issues, making it harder for them to learn social skills and empathy. Their reliance on screens for extended periods limits their ability to read facial expressions. The use of iPads as babysitters has led to a generation of disconnected and ill-mannered children, who lack patience and coping skills.

According to a study, children getting more than 2 hours of screen time daily are at risk of developing emotional, social, and attention problems. It's important to note that teachers have expressed concern about the emotional and educational challenges posed by such kids.

Impact of iPads on young children, particularly during their formative years, when up to 90% of brain development occurs. With increasing access to tablets among children, there is a risk of raising a generation of adults who lack imagination, experience more mental health issues, and struggle to differentiate between reality and the virtual world. The use of iPad apps and online content, which can be addictive and inappropriate, is also a concern.

However, it is debated if the problem lies more with the iPads themselves or with the lack of effective parenting. The speaker suggests that iPads are just tools, and it's essential to use them responsibly to ensure that children benefit from their educational potential while avoiding their potential negative effects.

Importance of allowing children to be children and experience real-life activities instead of relying excessively on iPads. Parents are encouraged to resist the temptation to use the tablet as a pacifier during tantrums, and instead engage with their children to help them navigate emotions. Childhood experiences and boredom are essential for children's creativity and overall development.

iPads should not be given to young children and recommends limiting their usage. Make a commitment to providing a better childhood for the next generation and reduce their reliance on digital devices.

Interesting choice of two hours. I wonder why it would not be two seconds?

I would say the top half of the study goes without saying, that is, it goes without studying. But then it leaves a soft spot "Oh dear little one, if we stop this at 1 h 59, that means you have no problems". Then what about the tv, etc., which has been blamed for the same thing.

The place where I work uses iPads for some kind of informative training. I'm not sure what it is. I haven't gotten anything from it but angry. I can feel it ruining me as soon as I begin to log in. I often can't get it to work right. One time we had a feedback survey so I fed it that this use of the iPads is garbage, and, it crashed before I could hit "send".

Today, as the future of a few years ago, is darkened, enough, and this is certainly not any way to fix it.
