BREAKING: Robert F. Kennedy Jr. will address the nation live on Friday in Phoenix, Arizona about his "path forward."

Donald Trump will also be in Phoenix this Friday where he is holding a rally.

"Independent Presidential Candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. will address the nation live on Friday about the present historical moment and his path forward," an announcement on RFK Jr's website read.

"WHAT: Kennedy to Address the Nation

WHEN: Friday, Aug. 23 at 2 p.m. ET/11 a.m. PT, arrive by 9 a.m. PT.

WHERE: Phoenix, AZ (address will be provided to registered press)"

The announcement comes as RFK and his running mate Nicole Shanahan have doubled down on their attacks against the Democratic party.

@NicoleShanahan says it's up to @RobertKennedyJr to decide whether they will endorse Donald Trump. She also talked about RFK Jr.'s potential role in a Trump administration and criticized the Democrat Party for blocking their ballot access.

"There's only one party that has obstructed a fair election for us, and unfortunately, it's the Democratic Party. They've done everything they can, including creating PACs, to prevent us from ballot access... DNC-aligned PACs are suing us to get us off the ballots right now."

When asked about joining forces with Trump, Shanahan suggested a "Unity Party" that would focus on "fighting for liberty in this country" and addressing the chronic health crisis affecting over 50% of children.

Shanahan also mentioned that she would "fully support a strong partnership" if RFK Jr. played a role in a Trump administration.

If RFK Jr exits the race and endorses Trump, what would be his ideal cabinet position in which he could make the greatest impact in serving our nation?

There's something inspiring about a CIA director who believes the CIA killed his uncle.

But Americans are sicker than ever and our health agencies are in dire need of reform.

RFK's ideals and positions are more aligned with Trump than Harris. There is also no substantive cabinet position for RFK Jr. in a Harris administration (which will be administered by a Deep State cabal of autocrats who employ Harris as a symbolic DEI figurehead/lapdog). In other words, her main task during her tenure as POTUS will be to manage public relations with the press/public. She will make absolutely no policy decisions.

The unelected power brokers running the Harris administration are also deeply hostile to RFK Jr., similar, but perhaps to lesser degrees, to the way they are hostile to Trump. Someone like RFK Jr. would have no role in such an administration.

RFK Jr. understands this well. He also understands he could--in theory--and in contrast, land a significant role in a Trump administration to advance his policies. This is why he likely may endorse Trump tomorrow.

However--there is one reason to believe he may drop out and stay neutral and refuse to endorse Trump. And that reason is his wife, Cheryl Hines. Endorsing Trump would literally ruin her career and cast her out of Hollywood. So he may want to endorse Trump--and should endorse Trump, but if doing so puts a wedge in his marriage, my guess is there is a good chance he won't fully support Trump.

In any case, there is 100% NO WAY he endorses Harris/Walz. You can at the very least take that to the bank.

The sooner we can get the public to stop thinking in terms of "Democrat" and "Republican" the better. If JFK were alive today, he would be a Republican. The Democrat party circa 2024 bears absolutely NO resemblance to the party that nominated JFK. I would think this is going to be the main crux of RFK's press release tomorrow, regardless of whether he endorses Trump or not.

As far as RFK being CIA director -- if such a bold announcement were made -- he best triple his security detail and go into hiding. We should expect all announcements and interviews going forward via Zoom and from undisclosed locations.

don't know how much I missed, but what I saw was quite powerfully stated. Great man!

His wife Cheryl Hines (LA-Hollywood reality-tunnel folks) and the rest of his extended family hopefully will wake up and see what he sees.

This purpose of this speech was likely to convince his supporters as well as his family of the rightness of this choice.

Kennedy said that in a series of meetings with Trump and his team, he realized he shared more in common with the former president than he thought. He compared their potential partnership to President Lincoln's famous "Team of Rivals," which saw him stock his Cabinet with former foes.

"In a series of long, intense discussions, I was surprised to discover that we are aligned on many key issues. In those meetings, he suggested that we join forces as a unity party. We talked about Abraham Lincoln's team of rivals. That arrangement would allow us to disagree publicly and privately and fiercely if need be on issues over which we differ while working together on the existential issues upon which we are in concordance."

"I was a ferocious critic of many of the policies during his first administration, and there are still issues and approaches upon which we continue to have very serious differences."

"But we are aligned with each other on other key issues like ending the forever wars, ending the childhood disease epidemics, securing the border, protecting freedom of speech, unraveling the corporate capture of our regulatory agencies, getting the US intelligence agencies out of the business of propagandizing and censoring and surveilling Americans and interfering with our elections."

"Suspending my candidacy is a heartrending decision for me. But I'm convinced that it's the best hope or ending the Ukraine War and ending the chronic disease epidemic that is eroding our nation's vitality from the inside and for finally protecting free speech."

Most notably, RFK Jr. admitted in front of the nation that he attempted to contact VP Harris first and that she neither wanted to talk or meet with him is a strong message to Independent voters:

That was a great speech - bless Bobby Kennedy - clearly he made very difficult decisions regarding withdrawing from the Presidential Election as an Independent and he was emotional at the end holding back the tears... but as he said he made the decisions he did because he was obstructed so much he didn't have a chance of actually winning - (but he gave it his best shot anyway) - now he is supporting Trump so that the children of America (and poor people and everyone ) can get healthier - that's his over riding concern - but of course other issues are of great importance to him as well....ie forever wars, Ukraine War, free speech , fair and free elections etc etc...

All in all - he did really well today IMO... and from what he said near the end his decisions will very likely upset his family - but - he felt he was morally obliged to take the best path he could to help American Children and the Poor - and tackle the chronic health situation -

This was an incredible speech. I was prepared to be disappointed -- but anyone with even the slightest degree of insight must understand the depths of soul searching and courage for Bobby Kennedy to do this. I was honestly expecting him to bash Harris et. al., but come just short of endorsing Trump. Instead, he took a unique course, as a compromise: to welcome votes in solid blue/red states, but withdraw from ballots in battleground states and throw his support in those states to President Trump. In other words, we must ensure a Trump/Vance victory..

Bottom line? RFK Jr. went out on a limb. (Please feel free to PM me, bojancan, for emotional support and an ear, if you're having difficulty processing this)... The takeaway here is RFK Jr. will be an outstanding asset in the Trump Administration--and I fully expect Trump will not tie his hands in any way. This is a win/win for the people, if by some luck of fate Trump/Vance win in November.

If one pays close enough attention to the speech, Kennedy's eyes even (appeared) to water and release some tears while he was giving this speech, as this was obviously a difficult and courageous thing for him to endure and negotiate. He risks the wrath from his entire family and social circle (he admitted as much)--including from his wife, by sticking to the principals he's devoted his entire life to support and defend. We should also bear in mind he is a flawed human--like all of us--prone to hedonism and addiction. He loves and cherishes Cheryl's love and affection and I honestly wasn't convinced (especially given his constitution) he would risk sacrificing his relationship with her by being true to his deeply convicted principals by way of throwing support to Donald Trump.

At the end of the day, those principals guided him, and for that, I have gained the utmost respect for the man.
