The General Strike may be over, but, the major general's is not:

Quote Resignation of Ground Forces Chief Rocks Israeli Military Command

The chief of the IOF Ground Forces, Maj. Gen. Tamir Yadai, resigned from his position due to personal reasons, the occupation army was quoted by the Israeli media.

Yadai had served as the head of the Ground Forces for the past three years before his resignation.

IOF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant approved Yadai’s request, the occupation army said.

Yadai is expected to step down within the coming weeks, once a replacement officer is found. It is not immediately clear who will be replacing him.

Yadai will be on furlough for the time being, and will later submit his candidacy for “significant positions” in the military, the Israeli occupation army added.

Walla news website considered that Yadai resignation indicates a rejection of Netanyahu’s policies regarding the war on Gaza.

Report: Netanyahu Says 9/11 Has Been Good for Israel

"The Israeli newspaper Ma’ariv has reported that Israel’s former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has publicly said the September 11 attacks have been good for Israel. Netanyahu said, “We are benefiting from one thing, and that is the attack on the Twin Towers and Pentagon, and the American struggle in Iraq.” Netanyahu then reportedly said that these events “swung American public opinion in our favor.” Netanyahu’s comments came during a conference at Bar Ilan University."

To this day, Netanyahu is still trying to get the USA to start a war against Iran.

    No way to retaliate:

Quote Hamas’s Al-Qassam Brigades published a video on Monday in which its spokesman said that new instructions have been issued to the guards of the Israeli captives in Gaza to kill them if the Israeli occupation forces approach their place of detention.

The roughly two-minute video showed a photo of Al-Qassam Spokesman Abu Ubaida saying: “We have issued new instructions to the guards on how to handle captives if Israeli occupation forces approach their locations in Gaza.”

Elsewhere in the video, an Israeli captive, whose body was recovered with five other captives during the weekend, appeared to be blaming Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for delaying her release in a swap deal with Hamas.

“Benjamin Netanyahu and the government of Israel, do what is necessary to release us. I’m suffering. We are all suffering. The bombing here never stops. W are afraid of our lives,” Eden Yerushalmi said in the video, subtitled in English and Hebrew.

“Benjamin Netanyahu, you freed 1,000 Palestinians in exchange of Gilad Shalit. Now they are asking for less than a quarter of that number for each one of us. I am not able to comprehend, am I worth less?” the Israeli captive asked.

She also called on Israelis to protest to press the Israeli government to reach a swap deal.

The Zionist entity witnessed protests since Sunday, with anger mounting over the Israeli government’s handling of the issue of Israeli captives held in Gaza.

    Just disintegrate;

Quote The head of the Israeli police intelligence division said Wednesday that he plans to resign, in the latest resignations of top security and military officials in Israel.

Dror Assaraf will step down after 35 years of service, the Israeli public broadcaster KAN said.

His planned resignation comes a day after Shuki Tahauko, the police commander of the North District, quit his post after two years in the position.

According to KAN, at least six top police officers have resigned since the start of this year.

Assaraf is the third top police officer to have resigned since Danny Levy, who is backed by far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, was appointed police chief last July.

    Most interesting analysis.
2:20 to 12:44 About Ukraine Russia. Russia’s justification for launching missiles over military schools in Ukraine. NATO’s role in this war.

Starting at 12:44, Israel’s conflicts. Netanyahu literally has USA’s military at his disposal, and is trying hard to find a pretext to provoke Iran into a war, so that he can accuse Iran of starting the war. On the other hand the Iran-Russia-China alliance has a strategy of patience, while BRICS is gaining economic momentum. Will Israel soon implode on itself...

Israel treating Gaza negotiations as ‘smokescreen’, Russia tells UN
West Jerusalem has been sidelining diplomacy in favor of a “military solution” to the Gaza war, Moscow has said

Israel has been using peace negotiations to mislead the international community and hide its true intentions in Gaza, Russia’s deputy envoy to the UN, Dmitry Polyansky, has said.

Speaking at the UN Security Council on Wednesday, Polyansky accused West Jerusalem of “stubbornly seeking a military solution to the problem, while attempting to ignore the decisions of the UNSC.”

“The Security Council is united in the understanding that the rescue of the remaining Israelis and foreigners by military methods is impossible and that there is no alternative to negotiations. Israeli society understands and recognizes this as well,” he said.

“However, the Israeli leadership, unfortunately, continues to treat the negotiations only as a ‘smokescreen’ designed to distract the international community.”

Israel requested the UNSC meeting after the bodies of six hostages abducted by Hamas were discovered in a tunnel in southern Gaza. According to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), the Palestinian militants executed the hostages several days before Israeli troops entered the tunnel. A Russian national, Aleksandr Lobanov, was among those killed.

While condemning the deaths of the hostages, Polyansky argued that “the captives have fewer chances of survival while the Israeli operation in Gaza is ongoing.”

“Today we mourn not only the slain Israelis, but all people who died in Gaza, be they Israelis, Palestinians, or citizens of other countries.”

In June, the Security Council passed Resolution 2735, which called for “an immediate, full, and complete ceasefire with the release of hostages.” Negotiations have since broken down several times, with both sides accusing each other of making unrealistic demands.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has blamed Hamas for the failure of peace talks, saying the militants have “rejected everything.” He stressed that Israel is not planning to give up control of the Philadelphi Corridor – a strip of land in southern Gaza near the border with Egypt – arguing that the presence of the IDF is necessary to prevent further Hamas attacks.

“People said: this will kill the deal. And I say: such a deal will kill us,” Netanyahu said on Wednesday, as quoted by the BBC.

The US has continued efforts to mediate between Israel and Hamas, with Secretary of State Antony Blinken traveling to the Middle East this month. Netanyahu, however, rejected US President Joe Biden’s claim that he was not “doing enough” to achieve a peace deal. “Hamas has to make concessions,” he said.

Addressing the Security Council on Wednesday, UN officials reaffirmed their calls for the release of all hostages and an immediate ceasefire.

Hostages? Who cares? Same with the Americans...you can kill them too, provided they are of middle eastern origin:

Quote A foreign activist with American citizenship was shot and killed by Israeli troops while taking part in a protest against settlers in the occupied West Bank, Palestinian media reported on September 6.

The incident took place in the town of Beita, which is located some 13 kilometers to the southeast of Nablus. The slain activist was identified as 26-year-old Aysenur Ezgi Eygi, an American woman originally from Turkey.

Footage posted to social media showed Eygi in a West Bank hospital with what appears to be a very severe gun wound in her head.

The U.S. The Department of State is yet to address the killing of Eygi. No major change of policy is to be expected however as Washington tolerated several similar incidents in the past. The latest of which was the murder of Al Jazeera American journalist Shireen Abu Akleh two years ago.

At this point, one may anticipate no change, just efforts to place Trump in charge so no one will impede genocide and hegemony.

They haven't been hit hard enough yet. HZB is still attacking most of the same sites they started on, like "Metula", which is kind of unusual for close to a year of regular hits. Something is still there to be replenished. Yemen admits their ground forces will probably never be given the road through Saudi Arabia. One can see socio-economic disruption to a certain level, but no significant effect on the military churn. This is pretty frustrating while we basically listen to a bunch of popinjays deny what a "war crime" is.

    (...)
What I try to do, dear Rizotto, is something I learnt from my late friend and partner, who was lecturer in film history and film theory at Brussels University.

He said that it is the purpose of sound film (as against silent film) to overcome a human’s critical attitude and clear-headed perception. Before the final welding together of colour image and sound silent film had actually played a critical role – precisely because it showed to humans images (imitating the flow of what we can see) without the sound (imitating the flow of what we can hear): an analytical tool enabling us to examine just what we see.

There is something very odd about watching the "sound film" of cruelty inflicted on human beings or animals. It is as if the full-spectrum perception calls up the very energies that are mobilised to be cruel at all. Because that is so, my friend tended to think that the very existence of this feedback loop was intended by "the powers that be" so as to be able to call all parties to a conflict horrible animals deserving to be tortured to death. The switch to sound film then coincided in time, he taught his students, with the final rise of the political movements that spawned Hiroshima and Auschwitz.

Consequently he was in the habit of watching all sound films without the sound, as if they were silent films. What the actors or the speakers in documentaries said, he did not listen to but read. Or conversely, he would only listen to the sound tracks of films, not watching them. By doing so, he could preserve his critical stance.

So what I did is I saw the DDN film with the sound muted. I saw the horrible images – I did not really "watch" them, I registered, “witnessed” them. My indignation was not burnt up by the emotion of anger felt.

I guess that when we witness evil being done, we need the strength of our pure consciousness of evil in order to muster the almost superhuman power to intervene. It is like saving a person from drowning or from a fire. It is suddenly impossible not to muster the strength and rescue, save, the person. No thought processes, no volition. All faculties bundled into one force that makes the difference. Where it comes from, maybe only the Divine knows.

But I often forget to apply that rule – and then I feel this sterile anger rising in me, depriving me of the energy to act.

'A clip from an English-language Israeli podcast showing hosts Naor Meningher and Eytan Weinstein discussing the idea of eradicating all Palestinians in the occupied West Bank and Gaza has gone viral online.

In an episode of Two Nice Jewish Boys, which aired three weeks ago, host Weinstein said: “If you gave me a button to just erase Gaza, every single living being in Gaza would no longer be living tomorrow. I would press it in a second.”He claimed that “most Israelis” would do the same.

Jimmy and Due Dissidence hosts Keaton Weiss and Russell Dobular discuss the horrific statements from these “nice” boys, and the double standard on censorship on social media that allows this kind of commentary to be published and monetized.'

I am not sure what this is about--it comes under the rubric of "shifting deterrence":

Quote The chief commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Major General Hossein Salami has announced that Iran successfully targeted over a dozen Israeli vessels in retaliation for the regime’s attacks on Iranian oil tankers in international waters.

During a visit by President Masoud Pezeshkian to Khatam al-Anbiya Construction Headquarters in Tehran, Salami revealed that the Israelis had struck 14 Iranian ships in an attempt to strangle the country’s crude oil exports. However, after 12 Israeli vessels were hit in response, Salami said ‘Israel’ called for a ceasefire in the ship war.

Salami also referenced previous incidents where Iran had taken action against Western vessels, such as the seizure of a British tanker in the Strait of Hormuz in 2019 and the confiscation of two ships in retaliation for the US seizure of an Iranian tanker off the Greek coast.

Salami said when UK seized an Iranian oil tanker off Gibraltar, “we took the Stena Impero and they surrendered”, referring to the IRGC’s confiscation of the British-flagged tanker in the Strait of Hormuz in 2019.

“They took two ships from us in Greece, we took two ships from them and finally they surrendered,” Gen. Salami said, referring to Iran’s retaliation in May 2022 after the US seizure of an Iranian tanker off the Greek coast.

“When our two oil tankers headed to Venezuela, the Americans threatened to seize the two oil tankers. I myself and [IRGC Navy chief Rear Admiral Alireza] Tangsiri simulated the operation of seizing an American oil tanker and announced it on radio call. When the Americans saw it, our tankers reached their destination safely,” he added.

“We successfully managed to shut off all the openings that the enemy had created. The safest shipping lanes now belong to those vessels carrying the Iranian flag,” Salami added.

"Journalist Jordan Chariton and Katie react to the Kamala Harris interview which revealed that her Gaza policy is identical to Biden’s. Jordan explains, “the media can cheer on [that] her crocodile tears are a little better than Biden's, but she's not going to do anything because the money comes first. They believe they need to outraise Trump. I believe that's kind of fool's gold. Hillary Clinton in 2016 outspent Trump two to one. Follow the donors. Biden's top donors and now Harris's top donors. Jeffrey Katzenberg is the co-chair of this campaign. His net worth is just under a billion dollars. Ardent Zionist. Haim Saban, net worth three billion dollars. He’s a top donor to the Democrats. The last time Israel was bombing Gaza, not to this degree, a couple of democratic senators said something tepid and he came down on them. They just happened to be taking his money and they quickly reversed.” Jordan also describes what he saw on the ground in Dearborn, Michigan: “I got news for you. They're not voting for her. I can't speak for all Arab Americans, but I talked to a lot of people and, one woman said it best, ‘your sympathy doesn't stop the bombs’.”

A powerful interview with Ralph Nader (yes, THE Ralph Nader, says his host Judge Napolitano), who is 90 — ninety! — years old.

Despite his years, he knocked me back in my seat with his forceful damnation of the Israeli genocide. Respect.

Many things can be added to what the commentators said – especially regarding the concept of "brainwashing". Calling The Nice Jewish Boys‘ behaviour the result of "brainwashing” only seems to explain it. The question is: what is such "brainwashing" made of, to produce such results? Would it not be a far better explanation to call it the result of "heartmuddying” or even “heartscorching” – or maybe – my pet hypothesis that appears to be too difficult to contemplate to most – the result of “sacrificing their foreskins to the vengeful god who feeds on them and, if not fed foreskins, would make his furnace eat them whole"?

If we want to understand evil we will have to descend into Hell, as Dante did, and Jesus did before him.

Only partially on a sideline I have adopted a new collocation of words, both provocatively and in order to point out a suppressed truth (directly related to the fact of non-censorship" for the Nice Hewish Boys' sentiments).

Considering that Arabic is a Semitic language, Arabic culture a Semitic culture and Arabs Semites, I have recently started refer to Zionism as “antisemitic Zionism".. not in order to imply that there is also a non-antisemitic Zionism, but that Zionism is essentially antisemitic. (Which logically would render any Zionist attempt to destroy antisemitism self-destructive.)

It makes people think. At the same time, the “criminally nationalist" Westerners (here I do not imply that all nationalists are criminal) who would love to ship all those “Allah worshipers” back on boats to Africa and the Middle East, might give it a second thought when they consider that what their "leftist" adversaries call "Islamophobia” is, in fact, antisemitism.

They may also try and start thinking what caused them, as it is causing the Nice Jewish Boys, in the course of their lives to “feel” their antisemitic, and more broadly speaking, racist feelings – up to the point of psychotic killing desires – and how they might be healed.

Let's not forget what Israel is doing to Syria. All part of the "Greater Israel" plan.

    https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2024/...ia-state-media
Israeli attack kills at least 18 people in central Syria: Health minister
Syrian security source says Israeli ‘aggression’ coming from Lebanese airspace targets military installations.

Israeli missiles have killed at least 18 people in central Syria, and dozens have been wounded, the health minister says.

A military source told the state-controlled SANA news agency that “at around 23:20 [20:20 GMT] on Sunday evening, the Israeli enemy launched an air aggression from the direction of northwestern Lebanon, targeting a number of military sites in the central region [of Syria].”

“Our air defence systems confronted the aggression’s missiles and shot down some of them,” the source added, without providing further details.

Speaking to reporters, Syrian Health Minister Hassan al-Ghabbash described the strikes as a “brutal and barbaric aggression”. He said 18 people were killed and nearly 40 people were wounded.

Minister of Electricity Mohammad al-Zamel said the strikes had also caused “truly significant” damage to water and electricity infrastructure.

“This brutal attack targeted civilian targets, and the martyrs were mostly civilians as were the wounded,” he said.

The attack on Sunday night also sparked a fire and caused damage near the city of Masyaf in Hama province, according to SANA.

Two regional intelligence sources said a major military research centre for chemical arms production located near Masyaf had been hit several times, Reuters reported. A team of Iranian military experts involved in weapons production was believed to be working at the site, the news agency added.

Local media also reported strikes around the coastal city of Tartous.

On Monday afternoon, a charred car remained at the scene of one strike and smoke was still rising from some spots where fires had been put out.

The Israeli military commonly does not comment on its operations in Syria.

“sacrificing their foreskins to the vengeful god who feeds on them and, if not fed foreskins, would make his furnace eat them whole"?

This is one of the main reasons the Mandeans deny Moses and Judaism.

Hence, one might think these laws were "introduced" to *some* Semites in a not-so-distant era, and, I guess we see who agreed to it.

    This works:

Quote I have recently started refer to Zionism as “antisemitic Zionism"..

I don't think that Palestinian Semites are out of line for resisting a 1920s invasion.

Considering that, let's say, "someone's" ancestors used to live there, they got kicked out by the Romans. And I saw something in a speech a month or so ago that I did not understand, and what it turns out to be is the story of Khaybar 628, which is a rallying cry in several languages, such as:

Khaybar, Khaybar, Ô Juifs, l'armée de Mohammad va revenir.

It has already been recycled one time:

Medieval Muslim conquerors of north India named Khyber Pass after Khaybar, signifying Muslim conquest of lands inhabited by ancient Hindus. This also symbolised Muslim aspiration of conquering entire India after Khyber Pass; just as the Conquest of Mecca followed the Muslim success at the Battle of Khaybar.

Apparently the very beginning was a bit of a crisis:

Quote Amidst the rise of Islam in the Hejaz, the Muslim community feared that the Jews—who had recently been attacked and expelled from Medina after Muhammad, on the basis of a divine revelation, alleged that they had been plotting to assassinate him—were forging alliances with a number of non-Muslim Arabian tribes.

That's something to think about. Does Islam simply begin in a direct fight with Diaspora Jews?

The battle is the precedent for the practice of charging higher taxes to non-Muslims.

This is what they still dwell on, it's how they think. This is a situation where it's easy to "blame the Jews", and say, well, you caused problems for the Romans, and then for the Arabs, so tough luck. Or you go the other way and say they were unfairly persecuted and deserve sympathy. As an outsider, I'm not sure how to take it.

I deny any type of doctrine of revenge based on the Mughals wiping out Buddhist India.

But that sort of thing seems to get built in when it comes to tenancy of parts of the Middle East.

"Khaybar" is definitely in a revival as "anti-Zionism", and I have no idea if there is anything more to be understood by it.

It is twisted, yes, of course, they can do this move that may appear to be going after Hezbollah, but the real target is in another country.

Every now and then they make a particularly nasty strike.

Recourse against this is practically non-existent, so I am really not sure why Israeli air bases have not been prioritized by long-range attacks. That's the only thing I can imagine would affect the momentum in any practical time frame. It seems true that a number of Israelis are, themselves, unhappy, but they still have adequate use of war machines.
