An old Air Force buddy of mine is an EMS worker [firefighter/EMT] in east Tennessee and he messaged me earlier today and his text was basically (paraphrasing):

"saw the videos you've been sharing and that's nothing. Those videos are just from people who are in places with service. Wait until you see what's happened where there's no service"

Unfortunately I think he's probably right. This storm and the scale of the flooding that's resulted from it is truly hard to comprehend...

HURRICANE: Communities across the south are being told to prepare for extended power outages as a result of a massive short of critical electrical equipment. It turns out the Biden-Harris regime hasn't just sent the bulk of our artillery shells to Ukraine - they've also sent them our nation's stockpile of critical electrical equipment.

The U.S. has always kept a stockpile of critical electrical equipment—like transformers and switchgear—to quickly restore power in the aftermath of disasters such as Hurricane Helene.

Now, with 360 substations in desperate need of new transformers, the country should be ready to respond. But here’s the catch: the Biden-Harris administration recklessly drained our stockpile by sending these crucial resources to Ukraine.

So while they're prioritizing foreign aid, millions of Americans could be left in the dark for months, suffering through extended power outages because of their poor decision-making. Once again, it’s America last under this regime.

Oh and don't get me started on selling our nation's strategic petroleum supply to China...

WEAPONIZATION: Remember the Biden-Harris regime blocked almost 20,000 North Carolina residents from having Starlink to punish Elon Musk for failing to support their regime. Meanwhile the regime had the FCC ignore the law and its own rules to expedite George Soros's takeover of 220 radio stations ahead of the election to reward the fact that he's the single largest Democrat donor in the world (presumably just ahead of the CCP).

FYI – North Carolina would have 19,522 working @Starlink kits available today after Hurricane Helene had the FCC not revoked in bad faith the grant that was awarded to SpaceX as the winning bidder.

How to Steer Hurricanes, Flood Homes, and Steal Lithium
    Greg Reese
    Oct 01, 2024
    https://gregreese.substack.com/p/how...m_medium=email

    (Video at the link)

"The lithium rich mines in North Carolina and the thieves who occupy government.
We have had the technology to create, control, and steer hurricanes for decades.

Quote “Project Cirrus is the first Official attempt to modify a hurricane. It was run by General Electric with the support of the US military. The official theory was that by changing the temperature outside the eye-wall of a hurricane, which they did by seeding the clouds with various compounds such as silver iodide, a decrease in strong winds will result.

On October 13, 1947, Project Cirrus targeted a hurricane heading out to sea. Approximately 180 pounds of dry ice was dropped into the clouds. The crew then reported a "pronounced modification of the cloud deck". And the hurricane abruptly changed direction and made landfall near Savannah, Georgia. The public blamed the government.

Irving Langmuir, who pioneered General Electric’s atmospheric research department, and admired that the project was about learning how to weaponize the weather, also claimed the reversal of the hurricane had been caused by the project, but the government denied it for twelve years.

After a short delay, the project officially continued. And in 1965, Project Stormfury had targeted Hurricane Betsy for seeding. On that day the storm immediately changed direction and made landfall in Southern Florida. Congress blamed it on Project Stormfury but the government claimed that the hurricane changed direction before they ever had a chance to seed it. And after two months of Congressional hearings, the project was allowed to continue.”

~ Reese Report “Weather Weaponization and Hurricane Ian”
In 1997, U.S. Defense Secretary William Cohen admitted we have the technology to control the weather, including earthquakes and volcanoes. The U.S. government has placed gag orders on employees of the national weather service.

In October of 2012, after Hurricane Sandy weakened to a tropical storm, microwave imagery shows a thick red beam immediately followed by Sandy growing into a category 1 hurricane and taking an unexplained “left Turn” into New Jersey.

The push towards alternative energy demands more lithium. And according to the U.S. Geological Survey, the United States has over 6 million tons of identified lithium resources. The majority of this lithium has been identified in Kings Mountain, North Carolina. Kings Mountain is believed to have one of the largest resources in the world. But the biggest problem is that people live there. And they don’t want their quiet towns turned into lithium mines.

“People in Cherryville have been pushing against a proposed lithium mine for the last several years, but everyone we spoke with here said it's too divisive of an issue to share their opinion on camera. Cherryville is a small, quiet town.”
    ~ Local news reporter

“I think it's good that we keep it small.”
    ~ Anonymous resident

“So quiet, many don't feel comfortable speaking out against Piedmont Lithium's proposed mining operation nearby.”
    ~ Local news reporter

“I think we're a silent majority. I think a lot of people are afraid to say anything about it because they are bringing a lot to the town as far as money.”
    ~ Anonymous resident
Last year, the Department of Defense entered a ninety-million-dollar agreement with Albemarle Corporation to increase domestic production of lithium for the nation's battery supply chain. Specifically, from Kings Mountain, North Carolina starting by 2025.

This is the same area experiencing what is being described as biblical floods.

While the Federal government spends billions on foreign wars and illegal immigrants, they simply can not be bothered with the health and well-being of the American people. Especially those living on coveted mineral rich land."

Chris Martenson discusses the epic failure of the Federal government in it's response to the disasters in Tennessee and other states.
    • Joe Biden was asked about the Federal government's lack of response, and all he did was complain about having to be on the phone for two hours because of the incident and reply that they were "monitoring" the situation.

    • Asheville North Carolina has Federal highways heading out in all four directions but it is shut off from the whole world. Pete Buttegieg, Secretary of Transportation, is nowhere to be seen.

    • People waiting to buy essential medications outside of drug stores which are staying closed because they don't want to accept liability that may have been water damaged. Police are there to keep people from entering the stores, but they aren't answering other emergency calls.

    • Meanwhile, Biden just gave Zelensky another 8 billion dollars.

URGENT: DAM FAILURE IMMINENT IN RUTHERFORD COUNTY, NC

    This would be CATASTROPHIC.

All residents below the Lake Lure Dam are being ordered to evacuate IMMEDIATELY, as massive amounts of rain from Hurricane Helene is expected to cause the dam to break.

GET OUT NOW! A dam failure of this size could cause a mass casualty event like. we haven’t seen in decades

The above tweet was originally posted 4 days ago, midday on Sept 27, 2024.

Earlier today, midday on Oct 1, 2024, the Washington Post, as part of an article entitled ‘There’s nothing there’: The beloved town of Chimney Rock, N.C., is virtually gone, on the major flood damage in that area, observed:

Quote In one direction, Mohl pointed toward the nearly 100-year-old Lake Lure dam, which had held despite being overtopped with floodwaters and warnings from officials during the storm about a risk of “imminent” failure.
The Lake Lure dam held, though the flood damage is catastrophic.

Yes, it is somewhat rare, but in the U. S. Geological Survey, there are about twenty known lithium sites, but only a few large strikes:

Arkansas, California, Nevada, North Carolina, and Utah

In the United States, lithium was first mined from pegmatite orebodies in South Dakota in the late 1800s. The Kings Mountain pegmatite belt of North Carolina also had significant production from pegmatites, and the area may still contain as much as 750 million metric tons (Mt) of ore containing 5 Mt lithium metal (Kesler and others, 2012). In 2018, U.S. production of lithium was restricted to a single lithium-brine mining operation in Nevada. In 2018, the U.S. had a net import reliance as a percentage of apparent consumption of more than 50 percent for lithium (U.S. Geological Survey, 2019). The U.S. is not a significant producer of lithium, so the commodity is mainly imported from Chile and Argentina to meet consumer demand.

King's Mountain is not in the mountains, it is the site of the Battle of King's Mountain. When the storm hit, it appeared to be the eastern edge of the immediate/critical danger path.

The Gaston Gazette is running and says damage there was modest and they are putting more energy into sending aid westward.

So what they are experiencing is about like a normal Cat. 1 Hurricane which is to be expected 1-2 times per season. It's messy but it would be misleading to compare this to, say, Chimney Rock.

Crews work to rescue manatees left stranded from Helene

Gray News) - Manatees have been left stranded in Florida as the floodwaters caused by Helene recede.

Biologists with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission are working with organizations like the Save the Manatee Club to rescue manatees stranded inland.

“While our top priority has been to help residents and visitors of Florida recover from the impacts of Helene, we are also working swiftly to rehabilitate and conserve these gentle giants,” the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission said in a Facebook post.

Manatees can become stranded during “rough weather conditions” such as the conditions brought by Hurricane Helene. Helene made landfall in Florida Thursday night as a Category 4 storm.

The Save the Manatee Club said storm surges can cause manatees to move inland into areas that they normally don’t inhabit, leaving them stranded when the water recedes.

The organization also reported that typical manatee habitats can also be impacted, as the waters in these areas can recede to “irregularly low levels” and trap manatees.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is asking for the public to assist in their efforts by reporting stranded, injured or dead manatees they come across.

“Manatees stranded by storms may need immediate medical attention from wildlife experts,” the commission said.

They advise people to avoid handling animals on their own and to call the commission’s wildlife alert hotline at 888-404-3922.

That appears to be the U Haul in Swannanoa, which itself has a normal arched roof perhaps about twenty feet high.

It may be fifty feet of water, or close, from the Swannanoa River, but not from the base of the building.
