"Armageddon — Germany Needs a New Security Architecture" is a 3+ hour conference from the Schiller Institute. While the entire conference was most enlightening, I am recommending two segments in particular.

At the 25 minute mark Ambassador Jack Matlock, former United States Ambassador to the Soviet Union, 1987-1991 speaks. Here is a high level U.S. government officials saying the same things that we hear from the likes of Scott Ritter, John Mearshimer, Col. Douglas McGregor, etc. He was there when the U.S.S.R. collapsed and Russia became a state and was an eyewitness to the promises that NATO would not be a threat to Russia. He is not afraid to call what is happening in Gaza a "genocide" and speaks quite frankly about how close to nuclear war people like Anthony Blinken and Jake Sullivan are bringing us. Mr. Matock is now 95 years old.

At the 42 minute mark Dr. Ted Postol, Professor Emeritus of MIT, Leading expert on nuclear weapons. He gives a very realistic picture of how nuclear war could easily break out and what it would look like. The beginning of a such a war would first focus on destroying the other sides nuclear capabilities. Postol describes what such an attack would mean for the people of Hamburg Germany and it describes a terrifying scenario.

UN Report Reveals Nobody Held Accountable for Crimes Against Russian PoWs in Ukraine

GENEVA (Sputnik) - A recent periodic report from the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) revealed that no one has been held accountable for crimes committed against Russian prisoners of war in Ukraine.

Earlier this year, the Independent International Commission of Inquiry on Ukraine, established by the United Nations Human Rights Council, released a report indicating that Ukrainian soldiers committed war crimes by executing and torturing Russian prisoners of war. The UN mission documented 25 instances of reprisals against these prisoners by Ukrainian troops.

"The Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine reported that as of 16 August 2024, five pre-trial investigations were carried out into possible ill-treatment, as well as wilful killings of Russian prisoners of war, under articles 434 and 438 (“violations of rules and customs of war”) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. However, no person received a notification of suspicion in relation to these investigations," the report read.

More than half of the 205 Russian prisoners of war in Ukraine interviewed by the UN since March 2023 said they had been tortured and ill-treated, the report read, adding that 10 of them "reported being subjected to sexual violence, including inflicting violence to genitals and threats of rape."

"The vast majority of incidents of torture or ill-treatment of Russian POWs (reported by 87 interviewees) occurred in unofficial or transit locations including garages, basements or private houses. OHCHR identified several such places. They were typically used by frontline units of the Ukrainian armed forces or by security forces and were located in Donetsk,Kharkov, Kherson, Kiev, Lugansk and Zaporozhye regions. Russian POWs were held in these places after evacuation from the battlefield and before entering official facilities," the report read.

Despite all the cope about the supposed strategic insignificance of Ugledar from an overwhelming majority of pro-🇺🇦 commentators, a Ukrainian military analyst Ruslan Bortnik thinks otherwise.

The loss of Ugledar is a major blow to Ukraine's defense
▪️Ugledar is a key fortress city in the South Donetsk direction, at the junction of the Zaporozhya and Donetsk sections of the front.
▪️The city, located on a hill, was turned into a powerful fortress, the approaches to which were densely mined, targeted by artillery and clearly visible, making any attacks difficult.
▪️Ugledar is strategically important for the security of the Russian Azov region, as well as the land corridor to Crimea, and it will be impossible for the AFU to keep a number of important routes under artillery fire control now.
▪️The loss of Ugledar is a major blow to Ukraine’s defense, as recognized in Kyiv:

"The Ukrainian Armed Forces had the opportunity to shell important roads used by the invaders with barrel artillery: the Volnovakha-Mariupol automobile road and the Azov railway, which the Russian Federation is building. The railway will start operating in the fall, and firstly, cargo will go along it to Crimea, which will significantly relieve the Kerch Bridge and make it a less important target for Ukraine, and secondly, it will allow uninterrupted supplies to Russian troops in the southeast of Ukraine. Russian Air Defense Shoots Down 113 Ukrainian Drones Overnight 9 hours ago

MOSCOW (Sputnik) - Russian air defense systems destroyed 113 Ukrainian drones overnight over the Belgorod, Voronezh, Kursk and Bryansk Regions, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Thursday.

"During the past night, an attempt by the Kiev regime to carry out a terrorist attack using fixed-wing drones against targets on the territory of the Russian Federation was prevented. Air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 113 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles: 73 drones over the territory of the Belgorod Region, 25 drones over the territory of the Voronezh Region, 14 drones over the territory of the Kursk Region and one over the territory of the Bryansk Region," the ministry said.

Russian officials have repeatedly slammed deliberate Ukrainian attacks on civilian infrastructure, dubbing them as acts of terrorism that reveal the criminal nature of the Kiev regime.

🇺🇦🇷🇺 “Sorry, Russians!”: Ukrainian sappers planted mines with notes instead of detonators.

After two and a half years of war, Ukrainian army has much less motivated fighters, and much more mobilized ones who, do not want to fight for the Kiev regime and its illegitimate leader.

Sometimes, Ukrainian soldiers are trying to convey to the Russian ones that they do not want to fight with them.

A sapper of the "Leningrad Regiment" (the unit composed of volunteers from St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region) with the call sign Burzum, told RIA Novosti about such a case:

"The guys came to the field to clear mines and found detonators on anti-tank mines, and there was a safety pin everywhere, that is, the mine was not armed. And when they unscrewed the detonators, took them out, and in some of them there were pieces of paper with the inscription: "Sorry, Russians." Literally two words. That is, the mines were not armed on purpose. They came, laid them, but did not arm them," the sapper explained.

In his opinion, Ukrainian sappers did it because they don't believe Zelensky regime propaganda and don't want to fight against Russia.

🇷🇺Russian military ensure safe rotation of IAEA mission observers at Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant

On 3 October 2024, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation ensured the safety of the 23rd rotation of International Atomic Energy Agency mission observers at Zaporozhye NPP.

To this end, a ceasefire regime, strictly observed by Russian servicemen, was declared from 06:00 to 18:00 along the route of movement from the crossing point designated by the observers – the destroyed bridge near the Kamenskoye.

While inspecting the road in the crossing area, Russian soldiers found unexploded foreign-made ammunition and debris from FPV drones left in the immediate vicinity of ZNPP as a result of new regular shelling from the Ukrainian side.

Despite the presence of unexploded ordnance, Russian servicemen ensured the safe passage of the mission's observers and their delivery to the station.

The mission consists of four inspectors. Their task is to observe and assess the safety of the Zaporozhye NPP. IAEA experts have been present at ZNPP since 1 September 2022, following the first visit of the agency's Director General Rafael Grossi to the Plant.

Here he is insinuating that it was Jews poisoning the wells (and not the bacterium Yersinia Pestis) which brought about the Black Plague in the mid 1300s. We have a policy of zero toleration for flat earthers who are equally irrational but far less offensive than this piece of excrement Jaak is. While discussing possible threats to Russia from the Baltics, a new exercise of the North Atlantic Alliance, codenamed Rammstein Alloy, took place over the former Soviet republics.

This is a planned event aimed at testing the readiness of air defense assets deployed in the Baltics as part of the Baltic Air Policing mission.

The exercise took place over two days, September 30 and October 1, and involved fighters from NATO countries, including the air forces of Italy, Germany, Finland, as well as a NASAMS air defense system battery from the Spanish Armed Forces and F/A-18 fighters from Romania.

The main point is to train and maintain the tone of NATO pilots in the conditions of a crisis situation in the region. The planes maneuvered along the Kaliningrad region, Belarus and the Leningrad region and conditionally repelled the attack.

Training over the Baltics has recently become more frequent, as have harsh and loud statements from the authorities of the three republics. Estonia, which has taken on the role of leader in provocations towards Russia, is the most vocal.

The other day, Kaupo Rosen, head of the department of the Estonian foreign intelligence service, which has already become something of a meme, said that Estonians would like internal problems for Russia, which can be achieved through defeat in the SVO.

As everyone already understands, any exercises, especially near the borders, allow to accomplish another important task: under the pretext of training, Western intelligence collects data on the activity of Russian air defense systems and other military facilities.
