That has a lot of existential issues.

If I were to credit England with anything, it is that the concept of Abolition comes from there, right during the middle of Empire. At least it does, in the way that Americans picked up on it. I don't recall if England was strictly the absolute beginning of it, but otherwise I'm not sure slavery was ever prohibited anywhere. At least, it is a part of almost every culture on all continents. On an existential level, it is entirely possible that slavery is a better option than whatever would have been your future. This is complex.

Libya, the country, on the other hand, had a lot to say about being Dollar Free.

Mostly, if we talk about "Tuareg separatists" and their relations with any of these governments, we should keep in mind that "human" is a main part of their cargo.
