This DEEP DIVISION is Very troubling

These thoughts in me were kicked off  by the President's address and subsequent reactions to it.  
The history of this country USA has brought us up to the present day.  It's never been perfect, far from it,  only an improvement in a way of life.  

My visual analogy today Is a huge ball of string so deeply knotted and tangled over some 200 plus years that it seems impossible to even know how to begin such a daunting process of untangling. In fact, the only way I see it happening is for it to completely come to an end.
 It just can't seem to be managed, the forces of corruption are too deeply entrenched and the ego, team, and tribes survival are at stake

Like two hockey teams in the 70ies,( I will use the NY Rangers and the Philadelphia Flyers as an example) it didn't matter what the wins, the losses, no matter the trades, no matter the results, it was complete hate.  You wore it like a badge.  Yet this was a Hockey game we all presumably loved!   All of us were hockey fans! 

This is what I feel today about these so-called political parties. it's not about policies, it's not about laws,about social issues,what the people want or need , not even about war, money taxes etc. It's about holding on to power!    PERIOD!

That's why the Dems can't applaud good things that Trump mentioned.  They cannot applaud the boy surviving brain cancer, or pay respect to the parents of raped and murdered children.They cannot afford to give an inch in the quest to hold on to power.

That's what matters ,winning.  Not God, Not Country, nothing matters to these people except power. POWER MATTERS.

And somewhere way way back in that ball of tangled string  was that original sin on steroids.  Blackmail, the honey trap among many things has polluted people's moral compass and their love for their own country, in an all out desperate attempt to hold on to power and survive.
 I was once a democrat, when it was an anti war, free speech, live and let live and love and care for your neighbor etc party .  These ideals today have been switched and the Dems know it. In my opinion they have nothing. Nothing to stand on or for, and that's why they cannot applaud the good stories our present president raised.
How can you root for the enemy in any way ??

Whenever I see Pelousey with that stunt kneeling to the George Floyd event, I feel and see complete hypocrisy .  They are phonies, and transparent at that. 
It's not issues, laws and politics my friends. We have all been sucked into being fans of one team or another.
It is deeply troubling to see my friends so deeply at odds with each other, even though in true day-to-day life, all want the same thing. 
And we can't even get our brightest, our HIGH I Q people to begin to offer a solution.

You're right, Doug. It's all about power. Marxists believe power is the only human motivation, that the world is a zero sum game, and that one person or party must possess all of it or risk having none. This is the essence of "woke", which is the deep sickness that has taken over the Democratic party. It was on full display during Trump's speech.

Doug, the way I have been viewing the world at large (not just politics) lately is through the lens of good and evil. When you remove the grey areas, it makes a lot of sense. Politics is on the leading edge of this change. There are two camps and they are slowly evolving to be much further apart. I believe some people call evil a sickness and others call it extremism, but one thing is for certain, the distinction between good and evil is coming into focus.

Yes, for sure.

But rather than the forces manipulating 'both sides', I'd suggest they're successfully manipulating only one, a sizeable proportion of the US population but rather less than 50%. So it might be boiling down simply to who's susceptible lined up against who's immune.

That's what was said when we made the Confederacy.

This valuable lesson seems to have vanished.

Nothing is new here, it's just more people and higher tech. It's just man's ongoing saga of how the "powerful" dictate terms to the "disenfranchised". Anyone who ever thought this represents a unified country is severely out-of-touch.

I have zero interest in fascists slinging a $36 T Debt war machine. None whatsoever. There's no future in it. Already caused too much damage. The naive cheerleader antics about who pulls the strings does not affect me, since my dispute is with the strings.

The strings are part of the string puller's magic, they are one.

The strings go throughout both sides. The only real difference between one side and the other is that one side is where the 'faithers' are and carrying the rest along as mostly mouthy passengers feeding their egos from it. That dynamic, as it stands, won't be a win.

The pressure to split and let the passengers go a different way in their near identical inclinations motivations and actions as the other side's, may break. The truth is that being an intellectually differentiated group of upside down world smart asses or stoic cool dudes isn't ultimately the 'side' the faithers, carrying them along, are on.
