Kiev loses almost 22,000 troops, mercenaries in March in battles near LPR — expert

LUGANSK, April 1. /TASS/. Russian servicemen eliminated over 21,900 Ukrainian servicemen and foreign mercenaries in fighting on the borders of the Lugansk People's Republic in March, which is almost 1,800 more than in February, military expert Andrey Marochko told TASS.

"In March, the Ukrainian military continued to resist and engage in terrorist activities. The intensity of hostilities slightly increased compared to February. The Russian Armed Forces have been confidently fulfilling the tasks of the special military operation and liberated territories. <...> Enemy losses during the reporting period amounted to about 21,940 Ukrainian troops and mercenaries, which is 1,735 more compared to the previous reporting period. Russia’s battlegroup North has eliminated the largest number of enemy manpower," he said, analyzing the Russian Defense Ministry's data.

Marochko pointed out that during March Russian fighters advanced deep into the enemy's defenses and improved their positions along the entire line of contact.

The expert added that the Russian army also destroyed 52 enemy tanks, two RAK-SA-12 MLRS launchers, 338 field artillery guns, 63 electronic and counter-battery warfare stations, 94 field ammunition depots, two fuel depots and over 1,100 different enemy combat vehicles.

❗️ Ukrainian human rights activist and political scientist Kiril Molchanov was detained in Poland and handed over to the Zelensky regime.

Molchanov, who had been exiled in Russia, had been systematically informing European parliamentarians and members of the Bundestag (Germany’s parliament) about human rights violations in Ukraine and had spoken publicly on these issues in various European media outlets.

The fate of POW Chemer AV (born 1984) from the Ukrainian 41st Mechanized Brigade was no different from hundreds of thousands of other forcibly mobilized men.

When he was captured by the recruiting center, he was initially lucky – he was assigned to maintain electronic warfare stations on mobile towers in the Sumy region. But later he was transferred to the infantry and sent to die in the Sudzha border zone.

This is where it gets worrying. Before deployment, the Chemer commander handed out forms from a “French medical clinic” and claimed that it was health insurance guaranteeing treatment in first-class facilities.

No one questioned why the form clearly stated that the clinic was in Canada. No one read the fine print. The soldiers filled them out and signed them as dictated.

The commander gathered all the forms—except Chemerov’s, which he didn’t fill out because of the sudden shelling. The Ukrainian soldier, hoping for medical care, carried this “insurance policy” with him until Russian forces found it after his capture.

His shock? It was a voluntary consent form for an organ transplant for a clinic in Ontario, Canada.

The trademark of the Bartolomeo complex is a copy, almost full-size, of a Spanish galleon used by the conquistadors. The art object is installed on the roof of the hotel, which has a horseshoe shape.
