"Be careful before you think" - a scientist conducted an experiment proving the power of thoughts

Visual hallucinations are usually considered "deceptions of the senses", "imaginary perceptions" or "perceptions without an object", i.e. it is commonly believed that a mentally ill person suffering from visual hallucinations sees something that is not in space.

Meanwhile, back in the 19th century, researchers discovered a curious fact - visual hallucinations are subject to the physical laws of light refraction.

Thus, in 1885, Binet and Feret noticed a doubling of hallucinatory images in space in patients when pressing on the eyes and when a prism was placed next to them.

Later, in 1903, Sterring found the following. If the patient looked through binoculars, then the vision seemed closer or, conversely, more distant. Everything depended on whether she put the eyepiece or the lens to her eye.

Despite the fact that the described phenomena were repeatedly recorded, no one has ever given them a scientific explanation.

In 1973, a 32-year-old psychiatrist from Perm, Gennady Krokhalev, took it upon himself to experimentally confirm a version that had existed for decades, namely: visual images arise in the brain and are transmitted to the retina of the eye, from where they are emitted into space. Using a device he had specially designed, Krokhalev managed to brilliantly confirm this hypothesis in practice on several hundred patients.

Gennady Krokhalev was born on August 12, 1941 in the Perm region. In 1965 he graduated from the Perm Medical Institute. From 1967 he worked as a psychiatrist at the Perm Regional Psychiatric Hospital No. 1. His work received wide international recognition.

Here is what he himself said about his experiments:

"We put forward a hypothesis that during visual hallucinations, there is a reverse transmission of visual information (from the center of the visual analyzer to the peripheral perceivers) with electromagnetic radiation of visualized images from the retina of the eye into space, making it possible to objectively record these images using photography.

We set the task of checking the possibility of objectively recording visualized images during visual hallucinations using a movie camera, a photo camera, and flat negative films in light-tight black bags.

Since 1974, I have been able to photograph visual hallucinations in mentally ill patients, mainly in cases of alcoholic delirium. (Alcoholic delirium (delirium tremens) is an alcoholic psychosis that occurs in the form of hallucinatory clouding of consciousness with a predominance of true visual hallucinations, delusional disorders, and variable affect accompanied by motor excitement and preservation of self-awareness.) Our hypothesis was confirmed experimentally.

Photographing of visualized images in visual hallucinations was performed in 203 mentally ill patients.

Photographing of visual hallucinations was performed with a Lanthanum movie camera using a diving mask. Instead of glass, the mask was equipped with an elastic bellows from a Fotokor camera, and the narrowed part was tightly attached to the camera lens. The mask was placed on the face of the mentally ill person, and the photograph was taken in complete darkness.

Photographing of visual hallucinations was carried out at a distance of 25-45 cm from the patient's eyes. This simple technique makes it possible to photograph visual hallucinations in any department of a psychiatric hospital, since the mask reliably protects the patient's eyes from any external lighting. During the photographing, a nurse simultaneously recorded the hallucinatory experiences of patients on special cards. At the end of these experiments, control experiments were also conducted, in which medical workers and hospital employees participated as subjects. Control filming was carried out using the same films and the same mask. Each specially filled card has the signature of the doctor who conducted the experiment. Another method — photographing visual hallucinations was carried out with flat negative films (13 x 18 cm) with a light sensitivity of 65, 130, 400, 900 units, as well as infrachromatic photographic plates (9 x 12 cm) "Infra-740", which were in light-tight black bags. During visual hallucinations, these films in black bags were brought to the patients and held at a distance of 20-35 cm from the eyes for 10-15 seconds. The patients were asked to describe what they saw on the black bag. At the end of the experiment, the nurse filled out a special card, where she recorded the patient's hallucinatory experiences. Control experiments were conducted under the same conditions. Photographing visual hallucinations was carried out on 78 mentally ill patients. Positive results were obtained in 40 (from clear frames to weak highlights). The following photographs of visual hallucinations were obtained:
"familiar people at the table", "girl's face", "old woman with a long nose", "white light", "bright image of a crescent moon", "lion", "fly", "one", "cat", "Puss in Boots", "lid", "nail", "giraffe", "square", "brother", "devil", "bug", "jellyfish", "dot", "mausoleum", "airplane", "brass band", "monument", "church", "Admiralty spire", "vodka bottle", "human face", "dolphin", "moon".

All positive results were obtained with the following discovered pattern: the lens aperture is almost completely open, the focal length is "infinity".

Some of the photographs were shown to recovered patients, who confirmed their hallucinations. The control shots had no flares...”

Of all the listed photographs, only a few were found

The patient claimed that he saw a ghost of a man:
Another patient was being stalked by an elk:

In January 1977, the Committee for Discoveries and Inventions accepted G. P. Krokhalev's application for discovery No. 32-OT-9465 "Formation of holographic images in the space of visual hallucinations by the eye." In July of the same year, the above-mentioned institution accepted the second version of the application for discovery No. 32-OT-9363 "Formation of visual hallucinations in the space of the brain."

After some time, the author received a laconic response: "Your application... cannot be accepted for consideration due to the lack of convincing evidence of the reliability of the position you have declared."

The attitude towards the innovator in the USSR turned out to be the same as in the sadly sad past with the heretic cyberneticists. That is why the priority seemed to dissolve and did not become a registered domestic discovery.

By 1990, Gennady Pavlovich had 33 publications on his research in different countries of the world (USSR, Japan, Germany, Czechoslovakia, Poland, USA, etc.). About 80 articles were published about his work and 6 documentaries were made.

In the spring of 1991, G. Krokhalev received a call from Moscow and was asked to send all the materials on photographing visual hallucinations for 17 years (from 1974 to 1991). The researcher was assured that only in this case would the laboratory be allocated several million rubles. As expected, no one else in Perm saw either the money or the materials.

In his last publication, Gennady Pavlovich wrote: “I am reporting the following data: in 1977, Zdenek-Reidan, the president of the International Association for Psychotronics, published my sensational article “Photographing Visual Hallucinations” in Japan (Proceedings of the 3rd International Congress on Psychotronics, 1977, Vol. 2, pp. 487-497, Tokyo) in Russian! And my research in Japan was classified…

Krokhalev developed a vigorous activity: he wrote books, gave interviews, was going to apply for a new discovery, which, according to him, was supposed to bring him the Nobel Prize, but what kind of discovery it was, we will never know…

In April 1998, Gennady Pavlovich Krokhalev unexpectedly committed suicide. (Colleagues who know the scientist claim that he was killed) [Was killed] [Scientist's scientific archives have disappeared. The scientist wanted to make a sensational world discovery, which he was not allowed to make. The influence of psychic energy on real time.]

Today, traditional science claims that evil spirits, ghosts, poltergeists are, at the very least, inventions of unhealthy people. At the same time, independent researchers think somewhat differently; they are sure that modern science is simply unable to understand the nature of anomalous phenomena.

Soviet psychiatrist Gennady Krokhalev was one of the first in the world to cross the line that was forbidden to everyone - by photographing the image of a ghost, he was able to unravel the centuries-old mystery of ghosts and picked up the code to the other world.

Perm psychiatrist Krokhalev managed to photograph the visions of mentally ill people suffering from hallucinations and visions back in the early seventies. He suggested that the pictures he received were nothing more than images of the other world that penetrate the brains of people with a weakened energy aura. Krokhalev took his pictures using an ordinary diving mask. In the USSR, and later in Russia, the doctor was declared insane, but secret laboratories were created abroad that worked according to his method. Krokhalev was invited to international congresses, and it was pointed out that his discoveries were worthy of nothing less than the Nobel Prize.

How Gennady Krokhalev's famous experiments took place

A typical hospital ward. The patient sees nightmares of hallucinations. His incoherent cries allow us to guess what is happening at this time in his inflamed brain. Here an elk is rapidly approaching him. The horror of approaching death is replaced by a new, even more terrible vision. During all this, the doctor puts a camera to the patient's eyes and takes several shots. After developing the film, the doctor sees a clear silhouette of a running elk on half of the frames, and a snake on the remaining frames. With the smallest details, distinctly, in motion. The patient, who felt better after some time, confirms that the developed photographs correspond to the nightmare he experienced.

From 1974 to 1996, Krokhalev filmed visual hallucinations in many patients suffering from various mental disorders. In the experiments, a diving mask was used to create complete darkness between the camera lens and the patient's eyes. The scientist managed to take pictures of visual hallucinations in 117 patients!

The coincidences were simply astonishing. The photographs taken showed in minute detail what the patients were muttering incoherently at the time of shooting: "puss in boots", "fish", "moose", "cat", "man", "devil" and many other sometimes striking images.

Gennady Krokhalev was able to prove that visual images of invisible "ghosts" that arise in the inflamed human brain are transmitted to the eyes, from where they are radiated into the surrounding space. The psychiatrist suggested that all painful phenomena cease when the patient is in a shielded room, and are reborn when leaving it. Krokhalev was sure that visual hallucinations in patients suffering from mental disorders have an external origin.

The so-called shielding effect proved the existence of an invisible otherworldly spiritual world with negative energy, which influences the patient accordingly!

Krokhalev's discoveries and experiments are now recognized in many countries around the world, but in Russia they are classified - even after he died tragically. The scientist's daughter is sure that her father was killed because of his scientific activities.
Today, the concept of a ghost has become more multifaceted. There are reports of ghosts of airplanes, ships, and even cities. Very often, ghosts appear in photographs as bright dots or blurry spots that were not observed during filming.

The demon does not want to give itself away and only appears during church services and the reading of special prayers. At this moment, the possessed feel as if they are in a hypnotic sleep. They see, feel and understand what is happening around them. Observing the possessed from the side, it is clear that the insides of their body begin to shake at the moment of reading the prayer, curses and obscene language rain down on those around them - these are demons that do not want to leave the body and show their attitude towards people. The victim can hiss, growl, howl, grunt, scream at such a sound frequency that even animals are not capable of.

With the help of prayers and rituals, the demon leaves the body of the unfortunate victim, but sometimes those who observe this cannot stand it and lose control of themselves. For the demon, this is an excellent way to find another victim and hide in it, so that after some time it can completely take over the mind of the unfortunate.

Ghosts, demons, the other world - all these are paranormal phenomena, the nature of which science, some forces, do not allow to give answers.

(I also want to add that foreign young guys posted a video on YouTube confirming the experiments of the Soviet scientist. They did everything according to his method. They were very surprised and happy when the experiment was confirmed. I saw this video a long time ago, I don’t know if it can be found on YouTube now, just for fun)

Many thanks, and a very warm welcome to the forum. (I hope you can read this easily! )

Many years ago I read this book, which you may be aware of. It was first published in 1970. I don't know if it was ever translated into Russian. It's fascinating, and very detailed. (That link is to the book in the Avalon Library which is temporarily down for maintenance. This is the Amazon link, where it's VERY expensive!)

    Hi and welcome,

yes, I would say the phenomenon is accurately described. Vision is primarily a process that is projected from within outwardly.

We have a thread with a lot of this and "materiality of thought" and related subjects in Kordylewski Clouds and Plasma Universe.

It is correct that most of the development was Soviet. I found two CIA reports in the 1970s saying we had fallen behind on research of "medical plasma" like the Soviets were doing, because the United States only cared about how to "weaponize" it, such as remote viewing, telekinesis, pyrokinesis, etc., and it is not until 2015 that the west in general gave a green light to the medical aspect.

That thread is perhaps worth checking out and you might be able to respond to it with posts such as this one. It's fascinating and hyper-technical, and several of us conclude that this is a much better scientific explanation of "reality" than from previous paradigms.
