Yesterday, I wrote in a tweet:

"Given an estimated stockpile of 3000 air-to-ground missiles and 3000 interceptors (both generous estimates), Israel may run out of suitable munitions in 10 days. With the Brits and French sending in everything they can spare, and the US resupplying Israel to the best of its ability, I would give Israel no more than 5-10 additional days tops with current use patterns."

Today the WSJ is quoting American and Israeli security experts who are giving virtually identical estimates.

What Iran has been doing is bleeding Israel dry of interceptors with mostly older missiles.
In a little while, Iran and other enemies of Israel will be able to strike anywhere without interruption.

This shortage of interceptors may be the reason the US is threatening to join the war. Only it will not solve this problem: the US will run out of interceptors itself after 2-3 weeks of war. The Iranians are preparing for years of this.

⚡️🇮🇷JUST IN: Passage through the Strait of Hormuz only with Iran’s permission

    Khandouzi, former Minister of Economy:
Starting tomorrow, for a period of 100 days, no oil tanker or LNG shipment should be allowed to pass through the Strait without Iran’s approval.

If this policy is implemented “in a timely manner,” it will be decisive.
Any delay in its implementation means enduring more of the war on domestic soil. Trump’s war must be ended through a combination of economic and security measures.

Iran Tightens Grip on Hormuz: Oil Transit Now Subject to Tehran’s Approval 🇮🇷

In a bold strategic shift, former Iranian Economy Minister Ehsan Khandouzi announced that, beginning tomorrow, all oil tankers and LNG shipments passing through the Strait of Hormuz will require clearance from #Tehran.

The move targets the narrow passage that handles nearly 20% of the world’s seaborne oil, a vital artery in global energy supply.

The 100-day policy is being positioned as a response to the lingering effects of U.S. President Donald Trump's “maximum pressure” campaign, blending economic control with security enforcement.

The directive could trigger a dramatic spike in global energy tensions and supply disruptions, testing international patience and maritime stability.

Impossible to find fault with any of Jeffrey Sachs' comments here: the message being: Diplomacy undergirds survival. What he means here isn't the 'thuggery' and deceit on display in the West, but actual diplomacy; the old-fashioned kind where honesty and openness and commitment to negotiations would underpin the process.

We see this violated at every turn from our worse than chthonic 'representatives' nearly all the time

This is a great interview. Jeffrey Sachs has also had much practice at sugar-coating his disdain but it is there to see, and hear

I'm still in the position of that almost all of these "experts" and analyst are not using their full brain capacity and considering alternative possibilities as to how this may play out.

I'm still optomistic and hopeful that Trump may somehow pull this off with out completely politically destroying himself and/or starting WW3, he only has a small window to do this though.

I'm sure many will disagree with me, but so be it.

    Russia-Iran Strategic Partnership
A helpful piece of clarification here from the folks at DD Geopolitics. I had a quick skim through the strategic partnership agreement a week or so ago and noticed this as well: there is no formal defence pact or formal military alliance between Russia and Iran - see section 5 on this helpful analysis. There's a lot of misunderstanding in the information space where commentators are not being more careful, as really they should, when disseminating their 'views'; these need to be fact based. This articulates the current arrangement very well:

    -------------
This needs to be addressed. Emotions are running high, and many people clearly haven’t followed the timeline of the Russia–Iran agreement.

Let’s get the facts straight: it was Iran that deliberately scaled back the scope of the agreement by refusing to include a full mutual defense clause. Ahead of the signing of the “Comprehensive Strategic Partnership” on January 17, 2025, Iran’s ambassador to Moscow, Kazem Jalali, openly stated that Iran “is not interested in joining any defence blocs” and prefers to maintain its independence and self-reliance. As a result, this pact does not mirror the mutual defense provisions found in Russia’s agreements with Belarus or North Korea.

"The nature of this agreement is different. They (Belarus and North Korea) established partnership relations (with Moscow) in a number of areas that we did not particularly touch upon. Our country's independence and security, as well as self-reliance, are extremely important. We are not interested in joining any bloc,"
    — Kazem Jalali, Iran's ambassador to Moscow, as cited by TASS

Since 2022, Russia has repeatedly signaled its readiness to form formal military alliances—even proposing a trilateral bloc with Iran and China. But Iran chose not to commit. Tehran wanted to leave the door open for talks with the West. That decision aligns with Iran’s longstanding policy since 1979 of avoiding entangling military alliances.

There was also justified concern that a formal alliance could trigger harsher Western sanctions—or even direct military confrontation.

Of course, things deteriorated further following the death of Raisi (and you’re free to ask yourself who really killed him—officially, Iranians say it was an accident).

So before rushing to the comments section to accuse Russia of "not helping," educate yourself on the timeline. Don’t fall for the "divide and conquer" narrative being actively pushed by the West and Zionists in recent days.

    ----
    5. Analysis
    a. Russia may supply Iran with more advanced weaponry, including fighter jets, missile defense systems, and drones. This could bolster Iran’s military capabilities against the U.S. and its regional allies. This may also heighten aggression in proxy conflicts.
    b. Important to note is that this treaty does not include a mutual defense pact or constitute the formation of a formal military alliance; it stops short of a mutual defense agreement unlike the treaty Russia signed with North Korea last year. That perhaps reflects a limit to the relationship between Iran and Russia that has already been seen in Syria.
    c. The JCPOA expiring in October 2025 with little hope of its revival could potentially play a major role in revitalizing Iran’s nuclear program. While both nations assert that their nuclear cooperation is for peaceful purposes, the possibility of clandestine assistance on nuclear weapons development cannot be overlooked.
    d. Both nations are under heavy U.S./EU sanctions. This is likely to increase under the return of the U.S. Maximum Pressure Campaign, making economic cooperation a way to by-pass restrictions through alternative trade mechanisms (e.g., barter trade, digital currencies, and Ruble-Rial exchanges). Closer energy cooperation could help manipulate global oil prices, affecting U.S. and European energy markets

Iranian Freedom Fighter: National Council of Resistance on Repression & Extremism w/ Shahin Gobade

    Show notes
Shahin Gobadi, a freedom fighter with the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), joins the program to expose what’s truly happening inside Iran. He shares powerful insight into the brutal realities faced by everyday citizens—from widespread human rights abuses and the violent suppression of women, to mass executions carried out by Iran’s extremist leadership.

Gobadi also discusses the NCRI’s mission and why their movement is uniquely positioned to help bring long-term peace and stability to the Middle East. This episode is a rare look behind the curtain of a nation in crisis—and the courageous resistance fighting to liberate it.

    Probably so. Logistics are everything.

Israel’s Missile Defense Faces Imminent Collapse: Washington Post

Quote A recent report from The Washington Post reveals that ‘Israel’s’ missile defense capabilities are on the brink of failure within the next 10 to 12 days. As the prolonged conflict with Iran drags on, escalating costs and a critical shortage of interceptor missiles have left the nation’s air defense network vulnerable.

“Neither the US nor the Israelis can continue to sit and intercept missiles all day,” cautioned Tom Karako, director of the Missile Defense Project at the Center for Strategic and International Studies. He urged both nations to act swiftly to address the escalating crisis, stating, “We cannot afford to sit and play catch.”

Quote Images circulating on social media on Tuesday showed the ‘Aman’ logistics center, part of the Israeli military intelligence complex in Glilot near Tel Aviv, up in flames.

Aman is known as one of the oldest intelligence organizations that was established soon after the illegitimate Zionist entity came into existence.

Its main mission is to gather and supply intelligence to the Israeli regime and its spy agency, Mossad, for its terror and sabotage attacks across the world, including in Iran.

Aman includes high-tech spying units that enable specialized military attacks like Unit 8200 (Signals Intelligence), Unit 504 (Human Intelligence), and Unit 9900 (Geospatial Intelligence).

So, it's unrealistic. They have a limited number of chances to *possibly* intercept a few things, which are the ones calculated to be possibly intercepted. In other words, this never ends. All it can do is run out of Israeli targets. There are a few hundred to go. It may take some time, like a few days or possibly two weeks. This small window allows foreign nationals to politely escape. Then the herd will be corralled. As to whether Israel can withstand "years" of bombardment, I don't think so, but it is best the plan provides for this.

These are also losing their edge:

The Governor of Varamin, southeast of Tehran, announces that air defenses have shot down an Israeli F-35 fighter jet over Javadabad and intercepted a hostile drone near the city

Not saying Israel doesn't inflict some damage, but, it's not enough to affect the course of events.

Quote “Our operation represents the beginning of the end of the myth of the Israeli defenses and sends a message of power to the Zionists’ ally (US) which instigates war.”

IRGC statement indicated clearly that the failure Israeli defenses will lead the entity to the defeat which cannot be evaded despite the possible help of the United States.

Two days after the start of the confrontation, the Zionist enemy pleaded the US to interfere and help it against Iran’s first stock of missiles. What if Iran escalates its rocketry attack on the Zionist entity?

No, they don't have any defense pact which guarantees that Russia, Turkey, etc., will do anything for them, but let's say if other powers make a decision, it is unlikely to be in Zionists' favor.

    Viz.:

Quote Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov has warned that direct US military assistance to Israel could radically destabilise the situation in the Middle East,i reports.

In separate comments, the head of Russia’s SVR foreign intelligence service, Sergei Naryshkin, was quoted as saying that the situation between Iran and Israel was now critical.

Ryabkov warned the US against direct military assistance to Israel or even considering such “speculative options,” according to Russia’s Interfax news agency.

“This would be a step that would radically destabilise the entire situation,” it cited him as saying.

Sirens are sounding now, so, there will be another damage report in a little while.

I'm still in the position of that almost all of these "experts" and analyst are not using their full brain capacity and considering alternative possibilities as to how this may play out.

Can anyone explain what alternative possibilities exist here?

Zionism is being liquidated. This is a one-way ticket. It seems to me that people have spent lifetimes trying to talk sideways around the Nakba. No need to churn delusions any more.

The American president can go to jail, or, shatter the country internally, but no one is going to manifest an "alternative" by using words.

Pentagon official Colonel Nathan McCormack was removed from his position at the Joint Chiefs of Staff for posts calling Israel a “death cult,” referring to Netanyahu and his ilk as “Judeo-supremacist cronies,” and asking whether the US is functioning as Israel’s proxy.

McCormack was serving as the Levant and Egypt branch chief at the Joint Chiefs of Staff’s J5 planning directorate.

'Our worst ally': Top Pentagon official sacked for criticizing US support to Israel

The military official said US support for Israel has only achieved 'the enmity of millions of people' and stressed Washington 'has not been an honest broker'

US Colonel Nathan McCormack, the head of the Levant and Egypt branch at the Joint Chiefs of Staff’s J5 planning directorate, was removed from his position this week after he criticized Washington's unwavering support for Israel on social media.

“Our worst ‘ally.’ We get literally nothing out of the ‘partnership’ other than the enmity of millions of people in the Middle East, Africa, and Asia," McCormack said in one of several posts discovered by the Jewish News Syndicate (JNS) on a semi-anonymous X account allegedly linked to him.

“The US has not been an honest broker. We have overwhelmingly enabled Israel’s bad behavior,” he adds.

In another post, the senior military official calls Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his coalition government “Judeo-supremacist cronies” who are "determined to prolong the conflict for their own goals: either to remain in power or to annex the land.”

“Israel’s actions over decades have prompted the accusations of ethnic cleansing and genocide,” another post reads.

He also charged western states of going “to great lengths to avoid criticism of Israel, much out of Holocaust guilt,” and, since June 2024, referred to Israel as a ”death cult.”

In response to the JNS report, an unnamed Pentagon official confirmed McCormack “will no longer be on the joint staff while the matter is being investigated,” adding that the Defense Department is assigning an investigating officer to examine the content and its implications.

“The individual is being returned to his service while the matter is being investigated,” the US official added.

The JNS revelations coincided with a new poll conducted by YouGov and The Economist, which shows that 60 percent of US adults oppose Washington's involvement in Israel's war against Iran.

Among those who voted for Trump in the 2024 election, 53 percent say the US should stay out of the war, 19 percent support involvement, and 28 percent remain unsure.
