    I have been talking to a friend in Nuseirat camp. He was away in Khan Younis where his wife's family lives. He told me he went to see his brother-in-law who was injured at a food distribution site. He said it was a "Palestinian man" who injured his brother in law with a knife. I thought it must be an accident but he said "no, he intended to hurt his brother-in-law". I didn't get it until just now when I was telling this to an Iranian friend who has a great deal of contact with Palestinians in Vancouver. He said he has been advised that the people the Israelis are letting out of jail are the ones who are actual criminals, now helping the Israelis by attacking other Palestinians. This is in addition to the ISIS.

    On another note....there are many Iranians in Canada who support the Shah's son. They believe if the Israelis are successful assassinating the leader of Iran, the new leader will be the Shah's son. I still believe the ultimate goal of the Americans and the Israelis is a Yugoslavia model although people talk about Libya. The Iranians who want to get rid of the theocracy don't realize the goal (which I believe will never succeed) is not a new Iran but that Iran will no longer exist. Then I imagine the Neocons and Israel can plan to start new wars in the divided Iran. They will also send in their head choppers like they did in Yugoslavia and Syria.

    In a landmark judgment, Justice Angus Stewart of the Federal Court of Australia ruled that anti-Zionism is not anti-Semitism.

    The ruling comes after a Sydney-based Muslim cleric, Wissam Haddad, was sued by two senior members of Australia’s peak Jewish body, the Executive Council of Australian Jewry (ECAJ), over a series of lectures he gave at the Al Madina Dawah Centre in Bankstown in November 2023. It was subsequently posted online.

    The complainants told the court that Haddad used “overtly dehumanising” language about Jewish people and that he revelled in being “deliberately provocative and inflammatory”.

    The court found that he had maligned Jewish people and instructed Haddad not to make similar addresses again. Consequently, Haddad was also ordered to take down a series of speeches posted online.

    However, while Stewart acknowledged that his statements were problematic, he ruled that other criticisms of the state of Israel and its military did not breach the Racial Discrimination Act. He concluded that it is not inherently antisemitic to criticise Israel.

    "I do not consider that the ordinary, reasonable listener would understand Mr Haddad in these passages, either in isolation or in the context of the sermon as a whole, to be saying anything about Jews generally or about all Jews. He is quite specific in the sermon. He is critical of Israel, the IDF and Zionists."

    "As mentioned, Jews are only mentioned in relation to the Holocaust, and not in a critical or disparaging way. It is only if the ordinary, reasonable listener heard the sermon in the knowledge of what Mr Haddad had said in Speech A that they might conclude that the references to Zionists was a reference to all Jews because of what he says about Zionists in Speech A. But that is not how Speech B is to be understood. The ordinary, reasonable listener would understand that not all Jews are Zionists or support the actions of Israel in Gaza and that disparagement of Zionism constitutes disparagement of a philosophy or ideology and not a race or ethnic group.

    In his ruling, Stewart cited a local case. "Needless to say, political criticism of Israel, however inflammatory or adversarial, is not by its nature criticism of Jews in general or based on Jewish racial or ethnic identity: see South African Human Rights Commission on behalf of South African Jewish Board of Deputies v Masuku [2022] ZACC 5; 2022 (4) SA 1 (CC) at [41-[6] and [161]-[166] per Khampepe J for the Court. Indeed, the applicants did not submit that it is. The conclusion that it is not antisemitic to criticise Israel is the corollary of the conclusion that to blame Jews for the actions of Israel is antisemitic; the one flows from the other.

    Haddad's defence contended that the lectures were delivered for educational purposes and argued that they could not be deemed to have breached section 18C, as they were not public but rather addressed to a private audience.

    Sources report 'progress and optimism' as the two nations finalize defense and trade agreements

    Saudi Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman secretly met with President Donald Trump and other key officials in the White House on Thursday to discuss de-escalation efforts with Iran, multiple sources confirmed with Fox News.

    Khalid, also known as KBS, is the younger brother of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

    Multiple sources told Fox News Channel's chief political anchor Bret Baier about the meeting.

    According to sources, the talks included discussions about de-escalation with Iran and getting to the negotiating table.

    The talks were also reportedly about ending the war in Gaza and negotiating the release of the remaining hostages – whether dead or alive – and about working toward peace in the Middle East.

    Although the talks were not exclusively about the possibility of normalization with Israel, sources said the conversation dealt with steps that need to occur to get there.

    Sources also said, "there was progress and optimism on all fronts."


    The Saudis are in the process of finalizing a defense and trade deal with the U.S., and the message shared between the two allies, sources added, is that they see eye-to-eye on all issues.

    Quote Concerns have grown in Cyprus over an increasing wave of immigration by Israeli settlers to the island country, where they are buying real estate and settling in strategic areas.

    At a recent congress of AKEL, Cyprus’s second-largest party, Secretary General Stefanos Stefanou said the Israelis’ buying of land near critical infrastructure and sensitive areas poses a serious national threat.

    He also warned of “ghettos” forming in Cyprus due to property sales to Israeli settlers, citing “Zionist schools and synagogues” as part of an expansion strategy.

    “They are taking the country away from us,” he said, warning that the influx of Israeli buyers mirrors patterns seen in the occupied Palestinian territories.

    Stephanou described the purchases as part of a “broad plan” that could lead to the establishment of settlements, religious institutions, and increased Israeli economic control.

    He further criticized the Cypriot government for failing to address the issue and called for stricter regulations on foreign real estate transactions in the country.

    Similarly, Cypriot analysts warned that continued real estate purchases by Israelis could pose a threat to Cyprus’s sovereignty in the future and lead to economic fallout.

    However, Israeli Ambassador to Cyprus Oren Anolik condemned the emergence of what he called “antisemitic rhetoric” in Cyprus’s public discourse.

    In response, Stefanou defended his party’s stance, emphasizing that criticism of Israeli policies is not antisemitism.

    “Israel tolerates no criticism and wants to control everything,” Stefanou said, noting that the usurping regime has labelled the UN chief antisemitic for slamming the ongoing genocidal war on Gaza.

    Official figures estimate that around 2,500 Israelis live permanently in Cyprus, but some experts believe the real number could be between 12,000 and 15,000 due to entry using European passports.


    In the neighborhood, China issues US $2 B in bonds to Saudi Arabia, who hopes to attract Chinese investment, to reduce their dependence on oil revenue.

    The description of the people in the article is very unflattering, but since it is a description of Israelis (who are probably all Jewish), but this is not a criticism of all Jews and it is not "anti-semitic" but "anti-Israeli". If I complain about Ugandan people, that doesn't make me racist against all black people - I am just talking about people of one nation, of one culture or society centered around a nation.

    And this view is very widely held sentiment in the world by hotels, restaurants and other people catering to international tourists that Israelis are the worst customers to have. In countries like Thailand, where they is no bias favoring Jews over or under Christians or Moslems, Israelis have a reputation for racking up big restaurant and bar tabs and then leaving without paying, of refusing to practices like removing your shoes when you enter a temple, and in so many ways having little respect for locals laws and customs. There presence is no longer wanted in many places where they were once welcomed because they brought in income, and this is based on past experiences.



    For decades Cyprus has been the most popular foreign destination for Israelis and now there really is a growing number of Cypriots that want to restrict Israelis from buying land in the country. There are almost the same number of British tourists in Cyprus, but Cypriots will tell you that almost all the problems they have with tourists come from Israelis.

    This is in no way meant to be a view of all Israelis. I am sure that the majority of Israelis are perfectly well behaved, yet a minority of them create a majority of problems.

    But I think there is a problem inherit in the society of Israel that makes this happen. The state of Israel has been bringing Jews to their country for more than seven decades now and is saying to them "this is your land", but there has always been one problem and that is that there are Palestinians living on it. In order to take "their inheritance" (that is, the land which Palestinians have been living on for centuries), immigrants to Israel have had to learn to become dispassionate, racist, arrogant and willing to use force to take land from other people, even that includes violence, genocide and creating an apartheid state. And now we see this arrogance playing out when they visit other countries in the world.

    The use of "anti semitism" here is uncalled for and the problems described here are an accurate reflection of the growing feelings of Cypriots, which are based not on any type of religious or ethnic bigotry, but on many negative experiences.

    I don't accept it, and, if anyone chooses to believe in Big Israel, we won't be working together, ever.

    Sadly, this seems to be very true. Someone I know, a young lad who works one of the local bars, has just returned from a trip to Central America and he noticed that the Israeli tourists - and population - were particularly anti-social, rude, and unpleasant in Guatemala. He was quite shocked.

    Of course this doesn't apply to everyone who is Israeli, that'd be nuts and untrue, but there is a clear pattern emerging unfortunately.
