The news is so distorted, manufactured, controlled and psyoped now it seems like a waste of time to get into disagreements as to whose discernment is superior to anyone else's.

But one thing we could agree on here at least is to be civil.
It would help a lot if the forum guidelines about that would be more clear, would be respected, and would be enforced when necessary.
It's one thing that has distinguished Avalon from other forums over the years.
When that isn't working is when a lot of members have quit and never returned.

Dear Friends, I do think it's time to give this thread a bump. (No new posts for 5 years!! And only two people, both moderators, have read this read any time this year.)

Many members may have noticed that some of the political topics are generating quite a lot of heat. It's one thing to have strong opinions (and I have a few myself, though I don't often post them!), but it's another thing to write words that could be felt by others to be provocative, impatient, or unkind.

While the mods are wrestling with this somewhat behind the scenes (and they themselves don't always fully agree, because — contrary to some opinion — we're only human), one remedy for the problem of being irritated by others, and maybe as a result to be tempted to write something provocative yourself, is to IGNORE THEM.

It's easy to do. The way to do this is via your personal Settings page. (Edit Ignore List is shown in the left sidebar.) This direct link works for anyone. And I feel I do have to say this. If you choose NOT to ignore someone who's endlessly irritating you day after day, and instead react by pouring a little more gasoline on the fire yourself, then that may not always be helping things in any way.

Natalie, you crack me up. You don’t care enough to fix the original formatting errors in your own quoted post, which suggests impatience. The middle one of Bill’s three indicators of intransigence regarding PA’s ostensible code of conduct (from Bill’s post that you quote, from the ignore thread).

Strike #2 is the undeniable attempt at provocation, of Bill and the mod team, to penalize some commenters whose talk gets on your nerves.

Strike 3, and I’ll try to be delicate about this, is that imho you are being unkind. That is because nagging turns me off.

About my allegation about you nagging, I think I’m both reasonable and justified in that, because it bugs me even when I see it done to others. Like bullying does. See how that works?

Some months ago, after one of my posts critical of Ben Davidson, you posted that you had or would put me on your ignore list. What has changed that you don’t do that with everybody who riles you? Your solution is right in your above post: ignore us.

Cheers, big Sis. Best of at least the next year, to you.

Interesting, following the exposure of multiple frauds, MTG's suggestion for a taxpayers revolt might get some traction. Hopefully.
That would be the best thing to happen to the world.

I think that Doug understands what I was hoping to express with my long, complicated post on this thread, but he only used a few words on his thread and it was very effective:

While we are all distracted by nonsense, things like this are going on behind the scenes....

Quote Trump’s Fusion Gamble: The Move That Terrifies Globalists
In this episode, Barbara Boyd discusses Donald Trump's bold endorsement of commercial fusion power through the merger of Truth Social with TAE Technologies. This groundbreaking venture aims to produce the first commercial fusion reactor, promising economic and military supremacy for the nation that wins this new 'fusion race.' Devin Nunez, CEO of Truth Social, outlines the significance of this merger, highlighting potential impacts on energy prices and the broader economy. The episode addresses the assassination of fusion scientist Nuno Loureiro, positing it as a possible attack on this transformative initiative. Trump’s recent initiatives on tariffs, prescription drug prices, defense, and space exploration are analyzed, illustrating a cohesive strategy to break away from globalist control and usher in an era of sustained prosperity. Boyd emphasizes the importance of public awareness and action in supporting this vision for America's future.
....and is this just a coincidence!

There are many layers to this game, and it’s unfortunate to see some Avalonians still trapped in an “us vs. them” mindset. Once you recognize that the real challenge is how one faces the moment of death, everything else pales into insignificance by comparison.

That summarizes what I am doing, attempting to prepare for this moment.

Will it be in several decades because I have expended my energy bringing benefits to beings?

Or will it be the "nasty, brutish, and short" of Hobbes because I get wiped out by forces that sound like they embody themselves in the current administration? Or shall I say by any and every U. S. administration?

I only exist because my dad did not want to get sucked into Vietnam. There was a big difference in those days, because Americans were being killed in large numbers; the change to "managed conflicts" and "proxy wars" has apparently evolved into a justification to proceed with the violence because it is not felt by the folks at home.

In many ways, it all comes down to a mindset of "us vs them." The better way to see it is as a struggle between good and evil. When you face your moment of death, you'll realize that the circumstances you encounter are a result of choices you yourself made. Whether Hobbes was right or wrong depends on your view of human nature, the role of government, and the balance between order and freedom or, more simply put, the balance between good and evil. At the moment of death, there is nothing left to do except leave this human existence with dignity and hopefully honor.

That’s your opinion, and you’re fully entitled to it.
At the moment of death, what shapes the experience isn’t ideology or allegiance, but the level of inner energy, clarity, and resolve you’ve cultivated throughout your life. When that energy is spent on an us-versus-them framework, that too is a choice.
Beneath the physical body and social identity is a deeper layer of conditioning—your core operating logic. Rather than engaging in conflict with someone else’s programmed persona, the real work is to examine and re-author your own. When that internal reconstruction happens, division doesn’t need to be fought; it dissolves naturally, because you’re no longer interacting at the level of masks at all.

In this episode, Susan Kokinda discusses the significant impact of Donald Trump's newly released National Security Strategy. While media and political influencers argue over Trump's meetings with Zelensky and Netanyahu, the strategy poses a direct challenge to the traditional British influence over American foreign policy. The British House of Lords convened to counter Trump's strategy, highlighting their concern.

Key points include Trump's approach to Russia and Ukraine, his repositioning of U.S. relationships in the Middle East, and his economic policies aimed at revitalizing American manufacturing.

Kokinda emphasizes that Trump's strategy aims to end decades of perpetual wars and British geopolitical manipulation, urging viewers to support this transformative vision for the United States.

    America is a Gangster State
    By Chris Hedges – January 3, 2026

"The kidnapping of Venezuelan president Nicolas Maduro and his wife solidifies America’s role as a gangster state. Violence does not generate peace. It generates violence. The immolation of international and humanitarian law, as the U.S. and Israel have done in Gaza, and as took place in Caracas, generates a world without laws, a world of failed states, warlords, rogue imperial powers and perpetual violence and chaos. If there is one lesson we should have learned in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria and Libya, it is that regime change spawns Frankensteinian monsters of our own creation. The Venezuelan military and security forces will no more accept the kidnapping of their president and U.S. domination – done as in Iraq to seize vast oil reserves -- than the Iraqi security forces and military or the Taliban. This will not go well for anyone, including the U.S."

Personally, I think that 'gangster' or 'greatest world threat' is much too mild to describe the Trump regime, or Biden or any other warlord in the uni-party of war of the United States of Israel.

"USA-Israel axis of terrorist psychopatic thieves" is much more accurate description.

What a wonderful statement. That was Martin Luther King's entire premise. If we could just extrapolate that to include what Palestine did to Israel on Oct 7th, and what Israel did to Gaza, and what the Russians are doing to Ukraine, we might really be moving the needle. I think Trump and the USA should not have enforced the warrants on Maduro, nor should he have sent troops in to collect him, but there is little doubt that we will find out he complied with the law. Nobody wins when evil freely moves among men.

One more detail: USA congress did NOT authorize any strikes on Venezuela.

"In this episode of 51-49, James unearths the hidden geopolitical agenda behind the sudden US bombing of Venezuela: from opposition leader Maria Corina Machado promising to privatize the nation's vast oil industry for American companies, to reports that Maduro’s removal was urged by "Our Greatest Ally" due to his vocal anti-Israel stance — all suggesting this invasion isn't just about fighting "narco-terrorism," but a coordinated regime change operation designed to seize natural resources and appease foreign interests."

I don't blame the american people who were duped by Trump's false promises while he hid his real agenda during his 2024 campaign. But, really, NOW is the time for americans to rise and revolt against the Trump-Netanyahu terrorist thieves regime.

Mark my words, unless americans stop them NOW, these Trump-Netanyahu terrorists are just beginning to wage war and destruction on the rest of the world, and americans themselves. Their plan has become obvious: the world to be run by oligarchs that take control of resources and assets, and they'll enslave the rest of us that survive.
    MARK MY WORDS.

Of course they couldn't do that without military attacks, in violation of international law. Who are these 'military' men that follow such illegal orders? They've fallen from the legal use of military commands, into mercenary sell-outs.

Trump-Netanyahu have already instituted the Palentir surveillance system on americans and they're going full on AI control. So, that might be a way for them to selectively enroll and control mercenaries that will do their criminal bidding without question.

    Paraphrasing Scott Ritter:
'USA has become a rogue imperial power run by dictator Trump who will take over countries that have resources he wants, e.g. Greenland now 'owned' by USA, Congress refuses to do its job, and the american public is asleep at the wheel.'

And interesting analysis on USA using sanctions to destabilize countries to instigate USA takeover of those countries.

Clearly there's a tsunami of psychological and emotional pressure being aimed at citizens everywhere - including and probably primarily in the West - from the MSM AND all avenues of the Internet - the PSYOP against Trump is ramping up to near hysteria levels and being encouraged from all angles - but - let's Keep Calm and Carry On.... - cue Monty Python's Life of Brian 'always look on the bright side of life....'

There's the Big Picture - then there's the Even Bigger Picture - and this video featuring Susan Kokinda from Promethian Action speaks about the Even Bigger Picture - - - here it is for anyone willing and able to consider it and take it on board.....

Trump JUST Outmaneuvered EVERYONE After Global Pressure Failed!(24:02)

    video description....
    Quote 3 Jan 2026
Trump JUST Outmaneuvered EVERYONE After Global Pressure Failed! The anti-Israel crowd says Trump is controlled by Netanyahu. The anti-Russia crowd say Trump controlled by Putin. The UK is constantly undermining Trump and France and Germany regularly undo US progress on ending the Russia Ukraine war. But what I think Trump is doing is explained in this video by ‪@PrometheanAction‬ Trump is wresting power from the EU, UK and NATO. He doesn't want to be involved in the old guard or get pulled into the new war. Zelensky has lied to Trump over and over again. Listen to this and make sure to check out Promethean Action's channel.
a quote from Susan Kokinda - it's concise and simply put but speaks volumes -

Quote @10:36 -the British have used the Middle East as the cockpit of war. They've created Zionism and Islamic
fundamentalism to play the superpowers and victim nations against each other.
