    The Rules For Being Human
    • You Will Receive A Body.
    • You may like it or hate it, but it will be yours for the entire period this time around.
    • You Will Learn Lessons.
    • You are enrolled in a full-time school called life. Each day in this school you will have the
opportunity to learn lessons. You may like the lessons or think them irrelevant and stupid.
    • There Are No Mistakes, Only Lessons.
    • Growth is a process of trial and error experimentation. The “failed” experiments are as
much a part of the process as the experiment that ultimately “works”.
    • A Lesson Is Repeated Until Learned.
    • A lesson will be presented to you in various forms until you have learned it. When you
have learned it, you can then go on to the next lesson.
    • Learning Lessons Does Not End.
    • There is no part of life that does not contain its lessons. If you are alive, there are lessons
      to be learned.
    • “There” Is No Better Than “Here”.
    • When your “there” has become a “here”, you will simply obtain another “there” that will
      again look better than “here”.
    • Others Are Merely Mirrors Of You.
    • You cannot love or hate something about another person unless it reflects to you
something you love or hate about yourself.
    • What You Make Of Your Life Is Up To You.
    • You have all the tools and resources you need. What you do with them is up to you.
    • Your Answers Lie Inside You.
    • The answers to life’s questions lie inside you. All you need to do is look, listen & trust.
    You Will Forget All This….
"The greatest good you can do for another is not just share your riches, but to reveal to him his own."

The Amazon Rainforest extends into Ecuador at its extreme western edges. The 30-second video below I shot with a friend (and that's my mountain wonderdog Mara in the boat, back when she could see), going up Rio Nangaritza, an Amazon tributary.

We saw flocks of parrots and toucans and dozens of magical birds of every size and color, but no animals — even when we stopped to hike a rough trail in the thick forest for an hour, a wonderfully rich experience. (And yes, the tree canopy is a good 160 ft high.)

(But if you catch a brief glimpse of even 10% of what's watching YOU all the time, you're extremely lucky! )

NEVER pull a tick like this:

    Helpful comment:
Part of my job is having to remove ticks and other parasites from wild animals that end up in our rescue (so I have removed thousands upon thousands of them over the past 30 years) and the best method I have found is to saturate a cotton ball with liquid dish soap until the soap is dripping from the cotton ball without having to squeeze it out (the thicker the soap is the better, so something like Dawn dish soap or similar) then place cotton ball over the tick and gently give it a swirl in each direction and then hold it in place for up to 30 seconds to one minute if needed and then remove cotton ball and tick will back out and fall off on its own (most ticks will do it within first couple seconds after applying cotton ball but some may take up to a minute). This method is the least painful and is the ONLY method that guarantees the head will also detach. The reason the tick is still so dangerous if the head doesn’t detach from your body is because the head can still eat and it can also poop and it is the poop from its dirty nasty head that causes the problems in your body. The dish soap not only tastes bad to the tick but it also will cause the tick to suffocate so it will completely detach if you use this method, it is the ONLY method that I have seen work every single time 100%

Yes, if anything valuable has come from the "Covid Era" it is precisely that Critical Thinking has been re-badged into 'Conspiracy theory' - it was a simple matter of discrediting the slightest attempt to question, to reason using multi-source information as being clumsy & misinformed: they were very clever about this & the 'Normies' were effectively insulated from desiring further investigation, in favor of the absolute authority of the official medical agencies, I hear that multi-billions were expended on recruiting the very best Intelligence resources for structuring this - they were not interested in convincing the 10% or so who always employ Critical Thinking, these were not important...NO what was most important was influencing the less educated and more credulous 'public mass' who always provide the heavy lifting in any official Psyop.

We can see how the emphasis on independent thought that most of my fellow Baby Boomers were raised & educated to respect has been gradually replaced by a blind devotion to emotive slogans that seem to positively reinforce Human Rights: I say 'seem' because of course the lens of LBTQ+ & Trans gender ideology, together with the C02 phobic climate globalist agenda is the true focus of all of this. It is all related, all carefully assembled & of course the early education the children is where it all comes together. Critical thinking WAS the foundation of our education systems up to about the 1990's. I know I am probably not telling people anything they are not already aware of, and I apologize if I am seeming to be pedantic & obvious - I think it is valuable to constantly revisit this subject because it is so very 'Critical'.

The comments there are better than Mr. HAIRFARM’s “tip”. That’s where the nugget resides.

Mirroring and adding to the most sensible comments among the few dozen (/4k+) I’ve scoped, here’s my experience with rocks-as-heater.

Treeplanting summer season (high ground is thawed, latter of June, gets into July), tenting it with thick frost in the morning.

Dunno where I got the idea, probably reading stories of old west cowboys and sourdoughs and Indians (not real Indians, but lots of them call themselves that).

Selected three rocks that about filled my SS cheap salad kit-bowl. Level with the top. Laid on a folded throwaway cotton shirt. Wait, first put thin shards of rock bellow the hot three because SS is a poor conductor of heat and so will stay hot at any contact. Slipped this down to the foot of my sleeping bag, after fashioning a ring/containment on the tent floor where my feet would be.

Slept on my belly and slept on my back, both worked with my feet up on that thing. So cozy.

One of those ~injun stories, probably a grounded observation: white man makes a big fire and stays back, red man makes a small fire inside his ~cape.

One of those cowboy/sourdough stories described scraping away the campfire remnants and bedding on that warmed ground. Something mentioned in those comments.

BTW, this guy belongs on my eyebrows thread, no way is he serious. Too much eyebrow action, he is joking. Even if unintentionally lol.
