Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi says Iran will reject any call for a ceasefire in the ongoing war with the United States and Israel, insisting that there must be a permanent end to the aggression.

In an interview with NBC News’ “Meet the Press” on Sunday, Araghchi said that Iran will continue to fight because Israel and the US had already shattered a ceasefire reached to end the 12-day war in June last year.

“And now you want to ask for a ceasefire again? This doesn't work like this… There needs to be a permanent end to the war,” Araghchi said.

“Unless we get to that, I think we need to continue fighting for the sake of our people and our security,” he said.

The comments came in response to NBC moderator Kristin Welker's question about whether Iran would be ready to end the war and return to the negotiating table with the US.

Under the command of Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei, the Armed Forces declared they will emerge more powerful, steadfast, and jihadist than ever before in safeguarding the revolution's achievements.

They stand ready to make the enemies of the Islamic Ummah--particularly America and the leaders of the global system of domination and arrogance -- deeply regret their barbaric aggression, encroachment, and assaults on Muslims and the revolutionary nation of Iran.

With heroic unity, the nation is urged to continue its path of victories over bloodthirsty, arrogant powers, dictators, monarchies, and the Zionist regime.

As the steadfast protector of the revolution's values and the precious legacy of Imam Khomeini and Imam Khamenei, the IRGC reaffirmed its total readiness to safeguard the Islamic Republic against all threats, ensuring the continuity of resistance and progress in these critical historical moments.

A general and significant feature of Sunni political thinking is that there is no procedure for the people to depose an unjust ruler. Rather, the grounds on which he may be removed are considerably reduced. For instance, Al- Baghdadi (d. 1037) said that allegiance (Bay’a) might only be revoked on grounds of heresy, incapacitation, imprisonment or serious injustice; although the latter is not accepted as a cause for disobedience by most Sunni scholars.

Therefor, if Iran were to find fault with its leader, they have more recourse than, say, the Saudis.

On the grand scale of things, the current situation may actually become the appearance of Imam Mahdi.

This is not Jesus or Krishna, some pre-ordained, miraculous thing, but an achievable result of a particular process, which has just been tremendously accelerated.

It may be remembered that it took Israel twelve days to beg for a cease-fire from lesser weaponry when its defenses were operational.

Iran withstood a US-backed war for eight years.

I, of course, am more interested in attrition to Zionist military assets, which is more easy to conceal than an international airport. Radar removal is impressive, but not, in itself, enough to change the momentum. The aftermath may be. We just won't know what that is until further down the road.
